Scraped from here.

As some people know, I'm in the middle of writing several Worm fanfics, and I became aware that I'm not as up on the canon as I'd like to be (and in some cases, fanon has been displacing canon in my mind). So I've started re-reading Worm, and noting down facts which might come up as plot points in such fics.

This is a work in progress, of course.

Comments welcome. Please reference any corrections or additions; this resource is intended for canon, not fanon, or unsupported interpretations of canon.

Just a couple of suggestions when doing quests or serialised stories:
1) An index at the beginning, to allow readers to jump to any specific chapter
2) A link back to the index from any specific chapter (or, as I do, a link in the sig).
3) Continuing links from one chapter to another, to allow readers to read straight through.

This last one is fairly important; otherwise you're forever skipping back to the index and losing your place.

Trust me, your readers will thank you.

A comment by Flechette, I think. "He's been helping people in Brockton Bay for fifteen years." Which, if he's 29-31 like Skitter estimates his age, would put his trigger event at about age 14-16.

Flechette's comment is helpful, I hadn't known about that. :D

I'm not sure it provides an exact date, though- the time he's spent in Brockton Bay probably isn't the entirety of his career. I could be wrong, but I think his interlude in arc 11 mentions moving around to where the Protectorate needed him, so I doubt he started out in that city.

Combine that with the fact that anyone being considered for leadership of a team would need to have some experience already, it seems likely that he's been in Brockton Bay for fifteen years, but has been acting as a superhero for some time longer.

You're just as likely to be right about this as not- some parts of the timeline are pretty vague, and we can't change that unless Wildbow clarifies. But since you were very insistant on this thread being just canon, I thought I'd point out the uncertainty.
I believe there's a mention elsewhere of Armsmaster being a 'hometown boy'. Don't ask me where, however.

Note that the timeline is not 100% accurate; it erroneously notes Taylor's birthdate as 19th June. Also, the date of the Madison incursion of Simurgh is late December (20-22 or thereabouts), not June.

Hm. My re-reading hasn't got that far yet. I was going by Monarch 16.7.
"I'd offer you a drink," Kurt said, chuckling, "But that'd be against the law. How old are you, anyways?"
"Fifteen," I said.
"Sixteen."
I turned to look at my dad.
"It's the nineteenth," he said. "Your birthday was a week ago."
"Oh." I'd been a little distracted at the time. A week ago, that would have been around the time we were wrapping up our confrontation with the Slaughterhouse Nine. Lovely.
... whoops :p

I thought Coil went to prison for a bit and was discharged from the military (I'm not sure if it was honorably discharged, because they don't usually do that to people that panic and shoot the guy in front of them in the escape queue).

End of Monarch 16.9:
"Filling in for the interim is Commander Thomas Calvert. When asked about this new placement, the PRT reported that Commander Calvert served as a PRT field agent before an honorable discharge. For the past several years he has offered his expertise to the PRT as a paid consultant in parahuman affairs for New York, Brockton Bay and Boston, later serving as a field commander for the PRT strike squads. The PRT expresses full confidence in Commander Calvert's ability to handle the daunting task of Brockton Bay's parahuman-"
In the PRT Squad interlude, Calvert said he thought he might go to prison, but that was just supposition.

I don't believe it was public knowledge that he did that. IIRC, it was a secret.
Extremely secret. They gave him an honourable discharge in return for him not talking about the godawful spanking the PRT took from that debacle.

That doesn't change that he went to prison, just that it was not public he went to prison. I'm sure the PRT knows.

If he did go to prison, honourablle discharge or no, somehow I doubt that they would have taken him back. It's much more likely that they tried him, gave him a suspended sentence, then told him to keep his mouth shut. After all, if he went to prison or got a DD, he would have no incentive to not say anything.
Also, spending time in prison or getting a dishonourable discharge from the PRT is something that probably could not be kept from the public record, and could be dug up by the right people. So he probably didn't actually go to prison.

How many capes were in gangs at the start of canon?
Named capes:

Undersiders: Grue, Tattletale, Regent, Bitch.
Merchants: Skidmark, Squealer, Mush, Whirligig.
Faultline's Crew: Faultline, Newter, Gregor, Labyrinth, Spitfire.
Empire Eighty-Eight: Kaiser, Kreig, Menja, Fenja, Hookwolf, Crusader, Night, Fog, Stormtiger, Cricket, Rune, Othala, Victor., Alabaster.
ABB: Lung, Oni Lee, Bakuda.
Uber & Leet.
Coil, Trainwreck

Unaligned: Taylor ( not yet given a cape name), Purity (split from E88), Parian (rogue), Circus.

That's off the top of my head, not counting Cauldron, Protectorate/Wards, New Wave or out of towners.

Maybe the power classification from that worm google doc Wildbow did for his Worm Quest should be added to this?

Links added to initial post. Other information added in (up to chapter 19 now).

Yeah, Barker came adrift severely when he used his power on Skitter. He didn't do it a second time.

Bitch's minions. Barker could spit some kind of explosive smoke and Biter could selectively grow body parts. Which apparently makes him a good lay. According to Bitch. Yeah.
Okay, I know it's accepted wisdom that Bitch and Biter are FWB, but is this ever referred to in canon?

Teneral E.4
She was losing Biter. This wasn't the life for him. He was loyal, he wasn't dumb, and he wasn't a bad lay,if she was in the mood for that. Didn't, unlike some, make it more than it should be. He took it in stride.
That it's his powers that make him good in bed is mostly just a joke among fans, though from reasonable extrapolation.
