Year 615 by the King's Calendar June 13, you have had your powers for a week.

You are a 15-year-old boy.
You work as a.

[X]farmhand but you have been learning the basis of using a sword from the stable master who were a soldier in the king's army.(start with sword mastery intermediate 1start with life savings 17 silver)

[X]hunter in training you have not learnt much besides being able to shoot an arrow and basic tracking.(start with Bow mastery intermediate 1 start with tracking intermediate start with basic wooden bow and arrows life savings 1 silver)

[X]write in will only be used if I think I can write it and it has the most votes. (That is how all write-ins will work I am not that good a writer).

[x]your name is? write in.

You live in the Arathi highlands on a farm; your country has been a lawless place since your king betrayed the Alliance 19 years ago.

The farm lies isolated in the more mountainous region of Arathi close to the Wetlands you sell the surplus from your farm to the dwarves, and buy weapons and tools from them to defend against roaming Ogres bandits and wild animals.

The total population of the farm is 63 people including the children, due to how dangerous your country has become everybody over the age of 10 must be able to fight. Although anyone younger than 15 in the event of an attack are the absolute last line, staying indoors with the even smaller children but armed, so if everyone else dies they have a chance of saving themselves no matter how small.

Your mom died when you were five to a disease you are not sure which one it was and your father died 2 years ago killed by a small group of ogres who stumbled upon the farm, they all got killed but your father and 3 other of the defenders lost their lives.

You have been seeing people's names and something called level, which seems to gauge how strong they are since a traveling gnomish inventor convinced you to test her attempt at mechanically replicating the blink spell for 50 silver. The device worked but exploded when you arrived 10 meter from the spot you activated and for a moment the air around you looked like it was made of small squares.

Well at least she kept to her promise and paid you your 50 silver.

I see you want the quick adventure option or at least I'm guessing you do.

Best to start small

More for my preference for ranged combat

Both choices can certainly create a legend, but the one you are taking here is actually the safe but slow approach, as a hunter you will be venturing out often right from the start to hunt things, as a farmhand your mostly in early gameplay going to be working hard at the farm, training with your sword instructor and maybe get in a fight every few months, when the farm get attacked by a Raptor that decided to venture into the mountainous region.

I must also admit I think I would prefer to write the hunter, easier to create questhooks for that one, I'm still going to let you choose, but if the stalemate continue for the next few days I'm choosing that one.

But as a hunter you have the chance of getting own by a monster.

Yes but that's just part of the fun, we all die someday that includes your character in this quest, and the Scourge is coming in a few years so it's not like you might not end up walking it of.

Besides no legend without horrifical risk.

And the guy I replied to wanted to become legend.

Besides it's not like you can't decide to buy a melee weapon so you aren't totally fucked over if a fox manages to close in on you, you just wont have a significant starting bonus to that skill.

Just so you guys know I'm using classical WOW spells for the hunters potential abilities as something you can learn if you choose him you will not yet have gotten to the point where your Teacher think your ready to learn charm animal or any of the magical arrow abilities but once you prove ready he can teach them to you.

of course if you choose the farm hand then you can with time learn Warrior abilities that feed of your rage.

are we using the Moonlight Sculptor stats? because its better to farms stats now by hitting wooden target everyday for 6 week to gain strength and endurance before leveling

We are using Moonlight sculpter stat's, but you didn't get turned into a new player when you went to Versailes, so much as get converted into a Versailes being, so your stat's are higher than a normal newbie would have your highest is in the 50s.

And you can't do beat a scarecrow for weeks as a Farmhand either, not only would it be metagaming, but as a farmhand two thirds of your waking time on average is spent doing your job, more during harvest and a little less during winter.

Right, but we can still kill monster right?

Of course, even if with Farmhand you wont initially get all that many chances to do so, since farmhands rarely leave the farm, and while the farm is in a dangerous area, it still don't get attacked every week, and the random spawn you connection to Versailes will give you are going to be pretty infrequent while your staying on the farm.

Of course the farm work will raise your physical stat's with time like hitting a scarecrow would it will just go slowly.

Farmhand is the safer option, Hunter is the one that's likely to have you out hunting monsters quickly.
