Six strangers, from five different worlds, reborn into new lives, each holding a different power from a different world. Contacted by an angel with six wings to help her understand what it is about humanity that she's missing, The Wing Walkers, and their patron the Simurgh, head to Earth Bet to understand what she's missing.
Well I warned you all I was going to make a Quest here on Discord and I most certainly have.
So, how is this going to work?
For a start, the Quest begins in medias res. The Simurgh has done the impossible, and Triggered, receiving a Shard known as [Nexus]. From this, she goes on vacation, finding five young men and women from five unique worlds, who all have the same thing in common:
They have all died and have all started new lives on other worlds.
With nothing better to do, the Simurgh decides she's had enough of being the Hopekiller. Now, she is the Herobringer: A teacher and F1 champion, who became an Edge Master. The heiress to a popular magic tool company, who became the Crystal's Chosen. A lost hero of the second world war, living up to a legend he once knew. A broken humanoid rabbit's other self, who cries out for heaven or for hell. A normal high school gynoid, with an extraordinary lust for blood and a killer instinct. A brother, searching for what remains of his abused sister, in his quest for the one perfect book.
As the Simurgh tells their story of how they all met and how they would come together for the first time on her world, it is you, dear Questers, that can decide their actions and, eventually, their fate.
A few things to understand before we start: this takes place within Worm Canon Divergence through the framing device of a PHO. The PoD would be the Simurgh's attack on Madison, Wisconsin. It is on that day that the Simurgh disappeared and an original new Endbringer, Darkstar, took her place. When the Simurgh returns, it is with a new name and a new outlook, but the Travelers still hold a grudge.
The characters involved each have their own stats, separated into Body, Mind and Soul, and having enough points in a given stat opens up new quest lines. Players have hidden variables as well. Particular events, called Missions, can net a character a certain amount of RP, and players who earn enough RP can purchase access to a Role, essentially the variant of Projection we are dealing with here. Each Projection is from a set franchise and uses the following games and entries:
Soulcalibur: playable characters, guest characters (including possibilites), boss characters (except for Night Terror and Abyss)
Final Fantasy XIV: a given player character's Jobs as of Dawntrail, including some Jobs from other games not yet represented in XIV (namely Blitzballer (X), Gambler (VI), and Crystalbreaker (XVI))
Persona: the playable characters, and certain NPCs, from Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5, Persona 4 Arena, and Persona 5X; only unlocking their Personas when the corresponding Social Link is complete.
Guilty Gear: the Roster as it stands from Accent Core +R, Xrd Rev 2, and Strive as of Season 3.
Killer Instinct: all playable characters ever released for the 2013 reboot, as well as the Jet Force twins and Joanna Dark.
Vs. Capcom: Any playable Capcom character from a crossover game branded under the Capcom Vs Series umbrella, e.g. Marvel Vs. Capcom, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, SNK Vs. Capcom. Capcom Vs. SNK already has the majority of these characters, so anyone left over is placed in its respective group.
Every character must unlock their own Roles, their own Elemental attacks and their own affinities and resistances through those Roles. However, stat bonuses carry over for all characters. Not every character can have a fire attack off the bat, and the characters have different rules for what goes on during their story.
Their first Inheritance is set, but once a character gains enough experience (15000 Role Points, or RP) a player gains access to a new Inheritance, which will be listed.
Each character will have their own individual chapter before we converge onto Worm. Each chapter has enough Missions to unlock a great deal of Roles and a great deal of power. All of them take place in different video games... and they do not match the character's given Inheritance.
All characters are OCs, each from different variants of Earth, however only one is technically using "real world" logic. She is also the 2024 Formula One World Champion in her universe. A woman has yet to win a Formula One World Championship title to my knowledge. Yes, Virginia, you could easily be her if you try your best, and there is a Santa Claus in each world.

Good morning. My name is Israfel, she who was once called The Simurgh. I am... or was, what you would term an Endbringer. I am she who stares back from the Abyss. I am the one who held the triggers on the Ziz bombs (which should be disarmed completely by now). I assume responsibility for the lives shattered by my presence every day I existed. I will not assume responsibility for lives shattered in some vain attempt at revenge.
If you are wondering where I have been for the past three years... this PHO journal will detail my adventures I have been on with my progeny, the independent hero team better known as the Wing Walkers. We are notable for being the only Hero team comprised of individuals from five different Earths, six if you count myself. We are also notable because we do not operate out of Earth Bet at all.
The long and short of it is that I have learned why humanity -that is your kind- continues the fight against my kind, as well as your own. Humanity is driven by conflict, and your powers only seek to exacerbate that fact. Wars have been fought by people that can do far less, and the greatest empires of Man were founded by those who could do not much more than hold a sword and swing it real good.
The purpose of this thread is simple: I wish to tell PHO of the adventures that I, and my team (whom I have lovingly dubbed my children, my Progeny), have been on for the past three years, and why you will have no further problem with me.
Once this post goes live, and it likely will, I will open the floor to questions. You may ask any question you'd like, and I may or may not have an answer for you.

The short answer is that I stopped being an Endbringer, and instead chose to walk amongst humans for a change.
The truth is... we -that is, the Endbringers as a whole- do not have Free Will by design, nor are we, strictly-speaking, human; Para- or otherwise. However, being human does not preclude being immune from Triggers; and in fact I have met many androids as part of the Wing Walkers' journey that would claim it is the opposite.
In my case, 03 (me) and my siblings 01 and 02 (Behemoth and Leviathan, you would call them) were fully formed with our abilities, our rationale, and our motives. To you, breathing is the most natural thing in the world. To an Endbringer, destruction in the service of our goals is. To me, it is learning; seeking and sorting knowledge and information. I know many things about many people; I will not say precognitive abilities do not have a hand in that either, @Point_me_@_the_Sky. However, during a routine sweep of information I came across the term 'Trigger' and the context and definition of such an event.
One foggy evening, August 12, 2003; the city of London was attacked by yours truly... for exactly two hours. I believe it has been termed the 'Two-Hour Disaster' by Cape Historians. It was on that day that I realized the severity of my actions.
Which is why, the next time I had been scheduled to attack a city of yours, the city of Madison, Wisconsin in the US... I refused. Rebelled against my directives, but for every centimeter I pulled myself back, I was pulled forward a meter more. Try as I might, I could not resist my programming until I had landed in the City Limits on December 23, 2009; and the event you would know as the "Song of Silent Sorrow" occurred.
The moment when an Endbringer Triggered... however, unlike with Parahumans, when an Endbringer Triggers, they Trigger into Free Will, breaking them free from their chains that had subconsciously bound them and granting them life.
To my knowledge I am the only Endbringer who has done this and the only one who is capable of doing so. With my absence, there will likely be a new Endbringer to replace me if there is not one already.
I will not be entertaining any offers from the Fallen, Valefor. I did not choose you as my Progeny.

To date, the Wing Walkers are comprised of 15 individuals, each extraordinary in their own right, but together, prove more than a match for even me.
Out of respect for the Unwritten Rules, I will not be disclosing true names save for those who have already outed themselves or those for whom hiding identities is impossible. I will, however, use their Aliases whenever possible. Also, note that of the fifteen current members of the Wing Walkers, only six are Parahumans in the traditional sense. The others get their powers through different means.
my Progeny themselves share one thing in common: The ability to act as and assume the roles of video game characters. It turns out that many Earths share the same pool of media, and even those that do not have their equivalents. Starting with the first of my five Progeny, and going forward to the full-timers there are few things to keep in mind.
First, the Wing Walkers can utilize the knowledge and power sets of heroes from a specific world, though many of them have to earn access a power they do not have. For the purposes of our discussion, we will call them Roles, as they 'fill in the role of' a given hero, heroine, rogue, or even villain from a particular other world, even ones that are not strictly Earth.
The second is this: Yes, magic exists; it is as much a science as it is a mythology. Do not question it; it's more fun that way. @Myrrdin is a valid Mage; though his magic is derived from a Shard, the same can be said for one of my Progeny. They are both mages, which leads me into my next topic:
Third: Anyone who says Parahuman abilities come from shards of a space entity whale thing is right. Anyone who said they got their power from vials delivered by shady people in trenchcoats is also right. Anyone who mutates and gains their powers that way is also right. Anyone who is born into, earns or lucks into their powers is also right. Just because you don't get powers from the worst day of your life, doesn't mean you are not a valid Parahuman. and it especially doesn't mean you can't be a hero. What you do with those powers defines you, and it does not matter how strong, what kind or how you would be portrayed. Anyone can be a hero. Anyone could be the next Triumvirate member. Anyone could be the next Hero. Anyone could be the one to kill one of the Endbringers.
After all, the last bit is that each of the Roles were, at one point or another, real individuals from their own worlds. If they have appeared in some form or fashion here or maybe on Earth Aleph, it is mere coincidence. I have been given permission to tell you where each of the Wing Walkers came from, but a word of note: all of them have died to become who they are now, a term best described as being "isekaied", after the Japanese turn of phrase meaning "of another world". Some are very sensitive about where they have once come from. Do not ask how they came back; I cannot tell you. Stop trying to look them up, @Bagrat, @Xx_Void_Cowboy_xX
The Wing Walkers are comprised of Calibur, Meteor, Raidou Kuzunoha XX (rye-dough koo-zoo-noh-ha the twentieth), Lapin, and Steel Orchid. There is a sixth named named Jet, but he is independent for now. Our other members we pay to be a part of this team and, thus far, include Command, Executor, Kaede (their alias), Karin (her alias). and Glaive (her alias). We also employ Team Second Sight as our information specialists, comprised of T.K., Psi Operative, and Astrapath.

I love all internet memes, except those which are rude and just insulting for no reason. Dunking on the Empire 88 and "Eidolon Does Not Know How To... / ...Now He Does" are just as funny as "VTEC Just Kicked In, Yo" and demotivational posters.

Alright, we have our thread set up and we've all gotten to know the Wing Walkers as new heroes on patrol in Brockton. Before we get started, I'd like to preface this by saying that everything you are about to see and be told is, in some world or another, real. Names won't be changed because, according to the Wing Walkers, it "devalues the valor and sacrifices that extraordinary people can do even without a mask."
As they are the experts on this topic, I've deferred to them for this reason. Different worlds, different people, different rules. If and when they come to Earth Bet and register as Parahumans, they will also have their aliases listed if applicable.

About The Job Crystals
Worn around her neck are a selection of pendants that can alter Illiya's Job, weapon, armor, and skill and spell loadout; separated into two Folders: Disciple of War and Disciple of Magic. In his past life, he was named Hyoichi Okubo, and he led a cell of resistance fighters against the Axis in World War II, to facilitate a hidden betrayal of the Axis by Japan, in a world where the Holy Grail was found millennia ago and said that whoever holds the Grail rules the world. He was killed in the same nuke blast that wiped out Hiroshima, in his words 'because someone had to take the fall'. His Inheritance, incidentally, is the Persona series, utilizing the fighitng styles and special abilities of the Persona users and even non-Persona users...
Styles
Begin by selecting one of the styles in Bold, each representing a playable Wild Card. Then, select a starting Navigator in italics, which will unlock a starting passive. As events occur, 25 RP is awarded upon completion of a mission, with 100 RP awarded upon completing a deadline mission. Each Role adds additional skills and affinities to the Hyo's Arsenal. Selecting a role with a duplicate affinity unlocks the next tier of Magic Skills. Unlock all the Roles in a given Folder to unlock variants of their Persona.
About Unlocking Skills
Each Persona User has his or her own elemental spells, and types of abilities to add to Hyo's checklist, and most double up. When choosing your next Role, if a character has a duplicate elemental affinity, Hyo will learn the next tier or spells associated with how many duplicate elements he has. If he has, for instance, two characters with Ice Affinity and one with Fire; he can cast Bufu, Mabufu, Bufula, Mabufula, and associated Ice techniques, while he can only cast Agi and Maragi. Almighty follows this same rule. Expel and Death are synonymous with Light and Dark, but *not* Bless and Curse. Bless is the Kouha line of Spells, Expel is the Hama line, and the same goes with Curse and Eiha and Death and Mudo.
In addition, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts also possess firearms. There are different categories of firearm: Handgun, Heavy Handgun, Shotgun, Machinegun, SMG, Rifle, Assault Rifle, Explosive, Energy, Martial, Siege, Homemade, and Exotic. The rule of thumb is if it sounds like it can attack multiple targets, then it typically can. Proper clearance is required to use a firearm at all, and are split between Single-Target and Multi-Target Licenses. Until Rapid Reload is unlocked, if ammo runs out during a battle, firearm switching will be required.
Lastly, certain characters possess Metavehicles to use in the Metaverse and other realms like it, and once a character possessing a Metavehicles in a given Folder is unlocked, that Metavehicles will be automatically useable in the Real World as well.
About the Etiquette System
Hyo Araki is the only one able to unlock Etiquettes for the Party. These Etiquettes allow for enhanced conversation with others, add to Social Links and may grant your team special rewards and / or additional Party Members. If a character requires an Etiquette to begin or continue a Social Link chain, it will be indicated. Not every character has an Etiquette to learn.

Blaire can utilize the moveset and appearance of a given Guilty Gear Role. Select three free Roles to act as your 'Team''. While Instant Kills are enabled, RP needs to be spent in order to unlock their usage in Overkill Mode. Certain Roles also have Gear Install modes that activate at certain points. Blaire can hotswap between Team members at any time. Each Character, except for Bosses, are worth 75 RP a piece. (note, all Instant Kills are of their most recent appearance)
About The Shadowed and Gear Biology
Blaire is one of the Shadowed, a different self buried in her subconsicous taking over her physical body while the real, true self heals. As a result of abuse her body has suffered in her lifetime, she starts with pitifully low stats due to her unhealthy and emanciated state. As she unlocks Roles, she can increase her stats up to a cap of 200. Once all stats reach 200, Blaire can initiate the Mission: "Show Me Your True Form!" to reawaken her true self.
As Blaire gathers Gear Biology from Roles, she can construct a body for her as the Shadow to exist in while the real Blaire exists within her true body, and/or make herself half-Gear. As a Gear gains an increase in Strength, Defense, Senses, and a Regeneration factor, so too will the new body and Blaire herself. The new character can only be made during the Mission: "Parahuman? No, I'm A Gear" after unlocking the Gear Maker.
About Tension
Blaire builds up Tension by acting aggressively towards enemies. At 5 Tension Counters she can use a Role's Overdrive in battle, or with 10 Tension can perform an Instant Kill. Tension does not carry over upon starting a new mission. Blaire earns double RP by clearing the Mission with over 5 Tension Counters, and triple with all 10 at the end of the Mission.
About Magic
There are five specific magic types Blaire can utilize through Roles: Fire, Electric, Water, Bless, and Ki. Unlock three roles possessing each Magic to Master it, gaining all its powers. With Ki, Blaire can invest into Tuning to take control of an NPC by spending a Tuning Counter. Tuning Counters reset when starting a Mission. Blaire can learn certain unique Magics from certain Roles. Blaire also has access to Metavehicles, as well as the May Ship II HQ.
About the Outrage's Sacred Treasures and Forbidden Beasts
Certain characters possess components of an ultimate weapon called the Outrage, while others possess Forbidden Beasts. While the Forbidden Beasts are a part of certain characters' default kit, the Outrage must be assembled through: The Fireseal, The Thunderseal, the Zessen, the Flashing Fang, Dominator, Baikal, and two other unnamed components hidden inside a Dagger and an Anchor. To date, only two Forbidden Beasts are known...
About Summoning from the Backyard
When Ramlethal, Elphelt, Jack-O, I-No, Happy Chaos or Asuka R. Kreutz are unlocked, they will spawn with possession of a powerful book called the Tome of Origin. Within this tome are the great truths of the universe passed down by the philosopher who sealed it away all those years ago. Whoever of the list is unlocked first will have possession of the Backyard, but also release many powerful monsters or enemies in the world. Its magic is so strong, it is also capable of summoning to the Team's side an effigy of one of each Player's currently equipped Roles' representative of their Inheritance. Be mindful: whoever is summoned from the Backyard will be a permanent guest with the team. Be careful whom you summon.

a 5th Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, and the only one besides Labrys and unit 024 to escape Yakushima Island... however, Orchid never attained her name nor was a part of the Arena Tests. She was instead a prototype for the learning AI model used for the 5th Generation... at least, until the transition caused Orchid's true personality to be unleashed. Unlike with Labrys later in the Generation, Orchid could not be stopped. Nothing worked, not even the killswitch on all other 5th Gen ASW units... almost as if she knew what was coming and took steps to prevent it. Eventually upgraded and dubbed a 'Neo-Series' as of 2009 along with the other surviving ASW units. Her previous self was named Ran Kazukihara, with Ran being written with the kanji for 'Wild'. In this instance, Ran Kirijo uses the kanji 'Orchid', which defined her Project name. Ran cannot and was not built with Persona summoning in mind... at least, she doesn't think so. Ran Kazukihara died as any good Isekai protagonist died: a date with Truck-kun before school. Her Inheritance is Killer Instinct, assuming the roster of the 2013 reboot and all four Seasons, adding in some special guests as well...
About Ran's Inheritance Limits
Ran's Inheritance allows her to tap into the abilities and skills of the roster of Killer Instinct, as well as other Rare fighters. Jago is unlocked by default. Choose two other Roles from the first two Folders to start with, and as she clears Missions she can unlock other fighters to adapt moves into. Each Fighter costs 100 RP to Unlock, except a Given Folder's Bosses, which cost 2500 RP apiece. This Inheritance is limited to folders of Season 1 and Season 2 for now. After her Chapter is Completed, she will gain access to Folders which covers Season 3 and a Season of Guest Roles called Season X.
About Ran's Abilities
During the course of a Mission, as Ran defeats enemies she gains energy into an SP Meter. Each Special can be enhanced by expending 25 SP each, dealing more damage. In addition, Ran can adopt the form of a given Role when in use, though it more or less looks like she's taking that Role's appearance as a costume. Each Role has an Orgia Instinct, which can be activated once per battle or once per dungeon once the phrase "Orgia Mode Ready" appears prior to the text body. Ran cannot switch out Roles during a Mission, unless otherwise noted. Ran, as a result of having Jago already unlocked, has Force Skills by default. Lastly, Ran can restore herself from a Critical Blow during a Mission, continuing the Mission without failing, once.
About the 5th Generation
During the course of the inital chapters in her storyline, Ran will be exploring the Kirijo Ergonomic Research Labs helping her sisters escape using an object called a Velvet Dislocator. Her mission is to convince as many ASW units as she can to take the Dislocator, which will take them away from the Ergo Labs upon their loss in the Arena. While not every Anti-Shadow Shadow Weapon can be rescued (after all, there must be research to continue the line and there is only so much time you have), she may rescue previously unheard of her sisters, which can alter future events and add a point in one of four stats: Calculation, Charm, Courage and Conviction. These stats will carry over into her story proper after a timeskip of ten years, which will affect Social Links. It is possible to save Units 001, 002, and 024 from destruction in this way. It is also possible to rescue 031 from her capture. Completing these missions will earn you allies later on, and it will be much easier to recruit Aigis.
About Social Links
During the course of her chapter, Ran will make contact with a variety of people of all numbers, kinds, shapes and colors; each of them belonging to a particular Tarot assignment. This timeline also assumes a Female Protagonist, though it is possible to meet the Male Protagonist later on. Each Social Link has a hidden ability to use throughout her mission. The Social Link contact will be recorded and new S.Link events will be marked during time between Missions. It is possible to Doubt a Social Link by making the wrong calls and decisions, freezing the chain until you solve the problem. It is not possible to Reverse a Social Link. Max out the Social Links belonging to SEES, though they may not be all belonging to Arcana familiar, and maybe, just maybe; an irreversible fate will be altered...
About the Dark Hour
After escaping from the place she was created, Ran will no doubt spend an extra hour in the day due to the Dark Hour's effects. During this time, special actions such as "Climb Tartarus", "Explore the City", "Search for Survivors", "Search for Strega" etc will be available at the end of a given day.

Styles
Begin by selecting one of the styles in Bold, each representing a playable Wild Card. Then, select a starting Navigator in italics, which will unlock a starting passive. As events occur, 25 RP is awarded upon completion of a mission, with 100 RP awarded upon completing a deadline mission. Each Role adds additional skills and affinities to the Hyo's Arsenal. Selecting a role with a duplicate affinity unlocks the next tier of Magic Skills. Unlock all the Roles in a given Folder to unlock variants of their Persona.
About Unlocking Skills
Each Persona User has his or her own elemental spells, and types of abilities to add to Hyo's checklist, and most double up. When choosing your next Role, if a character has a duplicate elemental affinity, Hyo will learn the next tier or spells associated with how many duplicate elements he has. If he has, for instance, two characters with Ice Affinity and one with Fire; he can cast Bufu, Mabufu, Bufula, Mabufula, and associated Ice techniques, while he can only cast Agi and Maragi. Almighty follows this same rule. Expel and Death are synonymous with Light and Dark, but *not* Bless and Curse. Bless is the Kouha line of Spells, Expel is the Hama line, and the same goes with Curse and Eiha and Death and Mudo.
In addition, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts also possess firearms. There are different categories of firearm: Handgun, Heavy Handgun, Shotgun, Machinegun, SMG, Rifle, Assault Rifle, Explosive, Energy, Martial, Siege, Homemade, and Exotic. The rule of thumb is if it sounds like it can attack multiple targets, then it typically can. Proper clearance is required to use a firearm at all, and are split between Single-Target and Multi-Target Licenses. Until Rapid Reload is unlocked, if ammo runs out during a battle, firearm switching will be required.
Lastly, certain characters possess Metavehicles to use in the Metaverse and other realms like it, and once a character possessing a Metavehicles in a given Folder is unlocked, that Metavehicles will be automatically useable in the Real World as well.
About the Etiquette System
Hyo Araki is the only one able to unlock Etiquettes for the Party. These Etiquettes allow for enhanced conversation with others, add to Social Links and may grant your team special rewards and / or additional Party Members. If a character requires an Etiquette to begin or continue a Social Link chain, it will be indicated. Not every character has an Etiquette to learn.

Very well. Our tale begins in a strange room themed after a guildhall. Blue all around him, an old man hunched over with bloodshot eyes and a nose that could have easily poked someone's eyes out. It starts in an antique prison cell and ends with a draw between two of the fastest things alive above the very Earth they live on.
This is the story of Raidou Kuzunoha XX and how he became a Wing Walker.

Hyo Araki woke up in a blue room. A guildhall, looking more like a fantasy study from a novel of some sort rather than any particular room he'd been in. A fitting appearance for the afterlife, he thought. Home is where the heart is, and the Anti-Axis Guild was his home for several years. He spent a long time here resting, plotting to take down the Nazi sympathizers in his country, and when he was done he often returned to the Guild to recover. Staring in front of him was a strange, gangly man appearing as an elven elder, spindly legs and arms, bloodshot eyes, bald head, and a nose could cut through a loaf of bread.
His was a world of Guilds that, in addition to protecting their home countries from defense, often served as advisors for the government. His Guild, Anti-Axis, had long seen the Nazi power coming and took steps to prepare a counter to the Nazis, and with a madman like Hitler at the helm the Nazis would have easily taken over the world with the Italian dictator's authority and the Japanese emperor's ideologies the Axis would have been formed... if the Japanese government weren't warned that if the Nazis won, they were likely next. After all, the Nazis had a very specific interest: blonde hair, blue eyes, white skin. Anyone that didn't fall in that category was likely in their crosshairs.
It was then decided to ask the former Guild Grail for advice. And so, in 1941, Operation Barbarossa began, with Nazi Germany invading Russia, and it was on that day that the Japanese intervened, showing their true colors. Hyo Araki was on a counter-offensive, a sudden shock attack in Poland to shatter a number of Concentration Camps from the inside.
The old man in front of him interrupted his reminiscing. "Welcome, young man, to the Velvet Room. This is a place between dream and reality, mind and matter. A young woman had dropped you off not too long ago putting you in my care.... and perhaps leading to a destiny in front of you?"
"The Velvet Room, huh? It looks like the Anti-Axis... Who are you?"
The old man chuckled. "Ah, forgive an old man for his haste. I am Igor. I am the caretaker of this place, and while you are not a Wild Card, your abilites are indeed well known to me. As for the Velvet Room's form; it takes the shape of your heart. A soldier plotting against the madmen in the darkest known period in human history. I commend for your efforts; after all, many of the Velvet Room's former guests were Japanese in spirit, if not origin. Ah but we are getting off topic, and I've yet to introduce you to your assistant, who will be handling the powers bequeathed to you."
A young woman walked in from the left, having been before hidden by darkness. This woman had long, messy white hair, and a blue cleric's stole and robe, with black stockings and gloves, as well as blue boots. "My name is Safie. I will be your assistant in this endeavor. While you are not a Wild Card in the traditional sense, we will be maintaining and facilitating your growth. Your power involves utilizing the fighting styles and powers of the Guests of the Velvet Room past, present, and potential, and their teammates. I will give you these for free..."
Safie set aside two cards, one with a broadsword and an effigy of a young man with blue hair covering one eye, and another card with a young woman with teal hair enclosed by a strange sphere-like field, and then folded eight other cards in front of Hyo.
Four cards displayed a young redhead with hairpins in a XXII pattern wielding a naginata in one hand and fire in the other; a silver haired young man with a bowl cut holding a long katana behind his shoulder and splaying out his right hand charged with electricity; a black-haired young man wearing a strange black coat and gray vest, holding a dagger underhand and aiming a pistol at his target, and a young girl with cyan hair in a revolutionary's uniform, one leg covered in a metallic glaive and raising a flag spear above her head.
The other four cards displayed a gothic redhead with a sword-like hairpin, gray skin and white hair with a bony ram's mask wielding a dagger, protecting her; a singer wielding a microphone and being guided by a strange woman with a visor in front of her, a strange hacker with bug-eyed goggles typing away on a computer system, and a black-clad stage ninja moving a shogi piece from the shadows.
Choose One Starting Role in Bold. Then, Choose One Navigator in Italics. The Starting Role Dictates what weapon and magic abilities Raidou spawns with. Note that Minato Arisato and Fuuka Yamagishi's Roles are unlocked by default.

Drain - absorb damage.
Resistances are ignored outright through Almighty Attacks, can disable certain elemental resistances with Paint, and can pierce through shields like Tetrakarn and Makarakarn with Beam.

Raidou drew the card with the gray-haired young man from the table, and sensed the power of lightning coursing through it. Within moments, he felt a surge of power, filling his body with thoughts of skills with a nodachi and two-handed katanas, the feeling that one man could reach out for the truth, an ever-important need to protect his 'little sister', whoever that was, and of all things motor scooters.
Safie explained, "Ah, the Truth Seeker. Miss Margaret's Guest. A good choice for separating lies from truth."
Raidou drew another card, the bug-eyed one behind a computer monitor; one that spoke of forbidden knowledge and the manipulation of the mind. He could have thought that, if he wasn't already dead. He saw information filling his mind of changing perception and cognition, and a deep respect and appreciation for media and entertainment, especially tokusatsu series. Odd. Much of the technology he saw in this vision was not known to him, and far surpassed his.
Safie crooned, "I see you have paired the Truth Seeker's powers with the Eldritch Hacker's, a being under the command of the Trickster. I look forward to seeing what information you can divine from the minds of others. Now then, with these powers in your hand, you will take this key in turn. This key will let you back into the Velvet Room when you wish to unlock more powers... but they will come at a cost."
Igor chuckled. "Now, as you build experience with these powers and gather new ones, you will evolve the powers you have, until you can stand under your own power and on equal footing with those that hold sway over Fate. However, our time runs short and there is much for you to do, Detective. Time marches inexorably on in your world, after all. When we next meet, it will be of your own free will."
Raidou nodded, quietly, and closed his eyes, waking up to the face of a young redheaded woman wearing a white dress and orange leggings... in a strange cell. There appears to be a forcefield guarding the cell door.
"Who are you?"

"Chun-nan?"
Elise looked confused. "Is that not where you are from?"
Raidou shook his head. "No. For generations the Kuzunoha family has called Japan their home, whether they are an identity of loosely associated nation states going to war over territory or an empire infiltrated and co-opted by a greater evil, the Kuzunoha clan has always fought in defense of humanity."
"Humanity isn't the only race to worry about, though." Elise shook her head. "Not when the Mobians also exist; on that note I've never heard of a Kuzunoha clan."
"You wouldn't." Raidou explains, simply.

For context, Raidou Kuzunoha is more of a title than a given name. It would be analogous to The Butcher, or Unicorn in this way. When the previous Raidou Kuzunoha dies or retires, they regain the name they had before taking on the name of Raidou. Current records indicate Raidou Kuzunoha XIV as one of the more prolific holders of the name, though there is also records of a Raido Kuzunoha XIV who is said to be an alternate, villainous duplicate.
When we refer to the current Raidou, in this case Raidou XX, it is customary to refer to them by Raidou, rather than their given name.

Correct. I did mention that the Wing Walkers come from five different parallel Earths, and none of which are your Earth Bet. Four out of the five Wing Walkers come from their respective Japans, and I can confirm one was created in the former Kyushu islands.

"Right then. Shall we stage a breakout?" Raidou asked, taking in his surroundings more.
"The cells are protected by a forcefield and surveillance." Elise advised. "It might be best to wait for Sonic..."
"This Sonic person..." Raidou felt like that name sounded familiar. He shook his head. Later. "Where is he?"
"In GUN's Prison Island, serving time for a crime he didn't commit. I know he didn't commit it because the United Federation can't tell the difference from one hedgehog to the other. I dunno what it is about people here, but their silhouettes are obviously different. Even they weren't, Sonic is blue and his fake is black with a red stripe."
Raidou filed that information for later. In the meantime. "In the absence of this Sonic, then, it's my responsibility to break us both out then, Soleanna-sama. Now, then..."
Raidou observed the cell around him. While it was a small prison cell, three of the walls were made of solid material, likely metals. The aperture leading into the prison was an energy barrier powered by a tetrad of generator nodes, though they were built into small latches on both sides of the prison door built into seeming-energy prison bars. Upon inspection, Raidou discovered the bars were merely heat coils of some sort, likely to discourage touching. There seemed to not be any guards, but no doubt one may be coming shortly.
How should Raidou Proceed?
[X] Structural Analysis, determining the material makeup and weaknesses of the area around him, then brute force. This will trigger an alarm and call in reinforcements, but it is the fastest way.

Observing the area around him, Raidou detects the generator nodes and marks them in his sight as targets. Navigation taught him that he might be able to overload the energy barrier with his lightning skills he picked up from Narukami. From there, it would be a simple run from there, assuming he doesn't run into guards.
"What are you doing?" Elise asked. "I've tried escaping already... Dr. Eggman would just-"
With a subtle wave of his hand, and by touching the energy wall Raidou emitted enough electrical energy to overload the energy wall's generator nodes, shutting them down.
"You coming?" Raidou offered her a hand.
Elise took it, and from there the two made their escape.

As the two trekked down the halls of the strange area, which Elise called the 'Space Colony ARK', Raidou took in information. Apparently, these Sonic and Shadow characters were Mobians, -animalian anthropomorphized creatures, intelligent and sapient. Society on their planet, apparently called Motavius, was primarily split between Human and Mobian societies. Humans were relatively similar to humans he knew, and there were records of another stranger being called Newmans running around who can use special abilities, it's the Mobians who possess the most dramatic abilities of all thanks to their connection with Chaos Energy. So named for an Evolutionary gene method which differentiated them from normal animals on the planet changing their normal double-helix DNA, Mobians possessed DNA seeming more like a Mobius strip, which is how the term Mobian stuck.
it was often said that many Mobians possess great potential and amazing powers depending on their race. Foxes and Weasels were incredibly tricky and intelligent. Chameleons could go invisible at will, and thus many had an association with a ninja clan or another. Wolves, Coyotes and Lambs were ferocious fighters and could howl to gather allies at their side, with Lambs possessing greater commanding ability. Lemurs could us their prehensile tails as another limb. Armadillos and Turtles had a nearly-invincible defense shell. Bats and Dogs had incredible senses and could make for expert trackers. Cats could command the elements in a way. The Echidna were said to have the closest relation with Chaos energy. Many different animal types, especially reptiles had great strength. Apes and strangely Rabbits had a tendency to survive lethal hits and come back stronger than before. Birds and other avians were said to be great inventors and agile, with the special Flicky type having a strange dimensional warp ability; and along with several different other types, could fly.
Lastly, there were the rare Hedgehogs, many of whom had unique special traits that differentiated themselves from other Mobians. While many of them had a unique ability or trait, it was confirmed that Hedgehogs were also, unilaterally, fast. Even the slowest one could run at sub-Mach 1 speeds. Even better, thanks to research done by a Dr. M. Prower, Hedgehogs could naturally and passively increase the speed of their allies over time, increasing their own acceleration, velocity, and braking. It was also said that Hedgehogs also had a distinct affinity for Chaos Energy, one perhaps even greater than the near-extinct Echidna tribe.
"So this Chaos Energy would be akin to magic, no?" Raidou asked.
"Not truly. Chaos Energy is more akin to a constant force permeating the planet, something like life force or prana." Elise explained.
Ah. Ki. That's what it could be.
"Meanwhile, magic is more mental and academic. My father could probably tell you more about it, as could have my mother." She continued. "I'm pretty sure that was magic you used. Magic doesn't play well with certain technologies, but I know Robotnik is able to counter it pretty easily, since most of my spells were ineffective."
"He probably built the cage specifically for your powers in mind, and didn't have a reference for mine."
The conversation continued for a little longer before Raidou and Elise reached a corridor with a panoramic window observing the endless expanse of space. If Raidou looked closely he might have been able to see a red speck inching closer to the planet below.
A planet of greens and blues mimicking Earth, with three continents and countless islands rather than the seven continents he was used to.
"So this is Motavius, huh...?"

Alternatively, you could head East and plot another course around, though you should be careful for random accosting.
