What if Kumari Kandam, Mu, and Atlantis all of suddenly became real in 2021? How would it change the ships that go point A to point B due to three large land masses stopping them? How would nations react to the natives and to the new continents? Will nations go full on colonial on these new lands and take over the natives or will nations stand back and study or even uplift some them or a combination of both?
Alright so this idea has been my head for while, what if Kumari Kandam, Mu, and Atlantis all of suddenly became real in 2021? but with Twist. The twist is I have decided give each continent its own identity meaning each would be different and have people but not humans. I will give maps and description of the continents and its people. Also any islands like Hawaii and North Sentinel Island stay their originally location and would simply fused with the continents. Ships that are at the area of the ISOT would be stuck on the land were the continents are.
Mu (Please ignore this map's version of Atlantis):
Mu is filled with large dinosaur like creatures and small mammals however the continent will have a sentient species that called themselves Wessets.
These reptile like humans live on Mu their populations are often small due to the fact their often prey to large theropods that roam the land. Their level of technology similar to the Pre-Columbian Native Americans. While most their species is nomadic and some are at the level Aztecs and Maya Empire. There are three major players of Mu, two of them empires and one is confederation of different tribes to protect themselves both from dinosaurs and the two empires. The Wessets are way more stronger they average human and they often fight dinosaurs for food and to protect themselves and due to this they are a warrior race that loves to fight and to get stronger. Their culture and religions are also similar to the Pre-Columbian Native Americans, believing in many different gods and sprits.
Atlantis:
Atlantis is dominated by race that called themselves Qluats.
Long ago the Qluats were nothing more then squids but after 10 million years of very complex evolution they have evolve into their human like appearance. The Qluats have one democrat government that controls all of Atlantis and are a peace loving race often talking their way out problems rather then fighting due to this they are experts at diplomacy and negotiations and because of this they have only had two wars in their entire history. A fully grown Qluat would look like a child to humans due their size and appearance but don't let fool you Qluats are very intelligent in fact an average Qluat has IQ over 500. Despite there intelligence, their are very weak due to their child like bodies and often rely on technology. They are semi-aquatic and all doe they spend very long time on land they have go back to the water so that don't dry out but thanks to intelligence they have created special suits and buildings that allow them even longer periods on land. They are very advance and are more advance compare to 2021 humans, they even found ways to balance technology and nature. Qluats worship the sea and nature as whole and due to this their technology is 99% renewable and very friendly to the environment. They believe in one Goddess and to them if they respect nature then they would respect their Goddess.
Kumari Kandam:
The land is mostly jungle, grasslands, and deserts with one large super volcano and mountain range at the middle. This continent's race called themselves Cydats.
Nicknamed Palicoes by humans who meet them due to how similar they look to the Palicoes in the video game, "Monster Hunter". Cydats are small bipedal cat creatures. They are sentient, and form kingdoms or even rarely entire empires. Cydats love to hunt, so much in fact they would often hunt animals way bigger themselves due this they often hunt in large groups to bring down large prey or even predators. In order avoid hunting animals to extinction, Cydats would have hunting seasons for certain animals every year and Cydats ban the hunt of pregnant animals and animals at their breeding seasons. Their tech level is about same as late Medieval Europe. They also appear to be immune to most common human diseases due having similar diseases and animals to Europe and even Africa. Their religion similar to the Qluats however their religion focuses more the hunt.
I don't normally start discussions but this interesting so I guess I would release my thoughts on this what if. So if we just say the all of water and displays animals got isoted to the world that these continents came from then the first think that us humans are going say is "What the Hell happening". Coastal cites and islands that are now landlocked would immediately call their nations in panic saying a weird land mass has appeared out of nowhere and they that they don't know what to do. Cargo ships and their crew would trouble since they are now stuck on land as some would probably be captured by the natives or eaten by unknown animals and if their lucky contact the landlocked cities and islands and try to get there and of void hostiles. Due the large land masses block out currents which will hurt or benefit nations. Nations of world will be shock on what just happen and the scientist communities would have little to no answers on what just happen and would pretty much be at a lost for words. Conspiracy theorists would say the aliens have done it and religious people would say that God had done this as some sort of gift for us.
First let's talk about Mu, due low poputions of the Wessets I could see the US and other nations who have islands in the pacific but now fused with the continent would try claim and send in troops to find territory or ships that they have lost and protect it from dinosaurs and the natives or simply abandoned it and relocate people off the continent until figure what to do. The US other nations likely have stand off ish approach to the natives at first until they can get things back order and would over time likely build up a trading and protection pact with the three nations of Mu. And finally after things settle down I could see the US and especially China to take land for themselves and the US could Hawaii as base of operations and to expand their territory in Mu.
Now Atlantis would be very interesting as unlike Mu it it very populated and based off the information given they are technologically superior to everyone on earth. If so then and if their as intelligent as you describe them then Atlantis would very soon be a superpower and would be the main rival of the US since the US is no longer be the top dog in the Atlantic.
Similar to Mu, Kumari Kandam would have other nations who have islands in the Indian Ocean but now fused with the continent would try to send in troops to find the territory or ships that they have lost and protect it from the natives or simply abandoned it and relocate people off the continent until figure what to do. Like Mu, the nations likely have stand off ish approach to the natives at first until they can get things back order and would over time likely build up a trading and protection pact with any kingdoms and empires in the continent. And finally after things settle down I could see countries like India and Madagascar to take some land for themselves and like the US would use any landlocked lands as a base of operations and to expand but in a lesser extent due to the already establish civilizations on the continent.
In conclusion, the year 2021 would get a lot more crazy and weird for a very long time even after 2021.
Kumari Kandam is a gigantic pain in the ass. European-China/SEA shipping now has to go by the Russians because it's going to take months to go around Kumari Kandam and Australia. Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Australia will be getting into fights with the Cydats when they try to take land, especially the Maldives, Mauritius and Sri Lanka because they will want to get access to the sea back. India being stuck to Sri Lanka is a recipe for disaster. Indian cargo rail now becomes of international importance. WA being cut off from the sea is going to start desertification. Ships that get stuck on the land are wrecked, such as the supply ships at the joint US-British base on Diego Garcia.
Mu will probably be the easiest to manage, since the US is the dominant power of that area anyway, alongside allies the UK, France, Australia, and New Zealand. The independent nations affected will probably be thankful that they are saved from global warming sinking their land.
It would probably be better to make the transition in the 1500s as opposed to the 21st Century. That way they have a long period of trade and adaptation on Earth instead of immediately falling to the soft power and hard power of their neighbors.
Also, even if you ignore the climatic changes, the presence of Atlantis and Kumari Kandam will royally mess up international shipping. A lot of new canals will have to be made.
I'm not sure how modern humans will react to another intelligent species on Earth but I doubt it will be positive.
