What if a portal into Sonic IDW Verse appeared in our world?

Let's set the scene it's July 21, 2017, at 1:00 am, and in the IDW Sonic Universe. The portal would be permanent, indestructible, and can not be erased from or fade in or out of existence but can be moved. The portal is a circle shape and its size is around a fully adult male human and the portal would appear on land.

The portal would appear in Irvine, California, and in Central City, right after the events of Sonic Forces.

How would everyone react?

Well, that would cause a big scene between the two governments. They will do the boring stuff but the tech will greatly be interesting to us. It can also be used to distract Sonic from eggmans plots because comunication will be harder. Eggman can sneak to our earth and do a lot of damage. Even create a couple hidden bases that will be hidden. The list will go on.
