Did my best to get the least spoilers period. It's a bit of a pity since a lot of the best manga art is spoilery to heck.
I'm creating this because I want more publicity for the new anime that's airing like RIGHT NOW.
I am totally up to date on the manga, which means I know everything, and so that talk should all be spoilered. However, since it's happening like now, I can't stop people from talking about each episode as it airs.
While frankly, Ballroom E Youkoso has frankly become my favorite sports manga, and might even be my favorite manga period for its gorgeous dynamic art and great depth in characters and relationships (not romantic but some complex drama that is so good), I was a teensy bit dubious of the anime quality.
MAIN QUESTION: COULD IT STAND UP TO THE MANGA ART?
The answer is...it's still pretty great quality and I'm excited to hell.
Just saw the First Episode twice on the twitch stream, and it was great. Manga art is still leagues ahead, but it was pleasantly good, and the whole "giraffe neck" thing people talk about (from PVs) isn't as noticeable in the anime period.
I'm aching to see the next episodes already but Anime Strike is a bitter pill to swallow for someone who can't really do anything about that. (Also sub quality is kind of.....)
(My First Time making this kind of thread, so if someone who's better in the know, knows how and if possible ( or if I fucked up totally) I can get a manga tag also? I don't think separate threads are warranted at this point, so if it's possible to combine functions, that'd be good to know.)
