We Will Never Die: Rebooted (A Halo Spartan Quest)

Didact is a 10... other fouruners are anywhere between 7 and 9
that honestly feels too low to me. If we can make a tier 6 armor then the Didact should be around tier 20 or so, Forerunner technology is stupidly advanced and is quite literally millions of years ahead of us. If we can make something that is even close to Forerunner tech we are either super overpowered or the Forerunners are total morons, as current gen Humanity has only been past the industrial revolution for around 700 years at this point, and the Forerunners before their fall in the Flood/Forerunner war had over Ten Million years of technological growth after the defeat of the Precursors and another few ten thousand years after the Human/Forerunner war before the Flood war started.

i'm just going from 1-10. 10 being the absolute pinnacle of armor

but if a race can get tier 6 in less than 1 thousand years why is Forerunner stuff only 4 tiers above that with their millions of years of advancement.
Giancarlo is absolutely bullshit and Light comes from a civilization that is so advanced then the one in Halo, that he's pushing them forward on the tech tree without really trying, at least in certain areas.
The man has 85 doctrates... and half of them are for things that don't exist in the Halo universe yet.

Genetics, Armor crafting, ship based systems, AI... Really its a wonder he hasn't done agriculture or made a solar rejuvenator or something in his spare time, or weaponized dark matter.

So are these tiers exponential then? Where the differences between 1 and 2 are lower than between 8 and 9? Because I could definitely see that.

[X]A Small Chance: John is boxing at the Gym… and then some ODST motherfuckers are trying to fight him… you need to stop people from getting killed.

  • [X]Hero Too: So… the Spartans are a bit on the… confused side. Good thing you have a cure for that confusion… A Spartan Cultural Festival! What is Mendez going to do, try and stop 75 super-powered super soldiers?!... You Blame Light for this.

[X]Buy the Beacon: Cranefield's eye twitched. "This ship costs over ten trillion credits. You don't have the money to buy this ship" "Yes I do, look at my bank account… Now, let me buy this ship." You replied.
[X]A Memory: Kirk was a quiet one. That was why he came to you with Caleb. "I need some help… I want you to help me remember something
[X]The Last of Us: It appears that you have a visitor… one Colonel Ackerson. You might as well humor him before destroying him with a few words.

Say its a logarithmic scale like the richter scale used with earthquakes rather than a linear one. A ten on the richter scale is a hell of a lot more than ten times the strength of a one... to levels that are outright comical.

Lifespan extension. I don't remember asking how old he was at the time of "death".

Now that is just rude to ask light that is.

and whose to say it was natural? Yeah he died of a heart attack, and stress but it may not be natural.

I don't assume the man died naturally at all. I just think those 85 doctorates might have been spread out over centuries, watching fields of study be invented and fall obsolete. And that is ignoring any stasis or relativistic shenanigans the man engaged in to dodge various authorities. He may well have outlived some of the civilizations who desired his torturous execution.

For the actual mode of death, I rather picture our one day igniting the Halo Array to be old hat for him. Maybe destabilizing someone's galactic core and causing the nucleus to become active, giving the setting a chance at seeing a late-bloomer quasar up close and personal.

calling the vote... hero too wins.

Also, I am laughing at both the rolls that occured, and the aftermath of the party.

Augmentations Finale: Together as One
Augmentations Finale: Together as One

You smiled as the plans were finally ready. "Sigma… Tell me, are you ready?"

Sigma shook his head. "No. You are going to get in trouble for this kind of party on the Beacon. And for it, I want no knowing part in it."

"Light." You stated.

"The whisky is ready." He replied with a small salute. "I hope it is strong enough for you spartans to enjoy getting a hangover for the first time, but I cannot say for certain."

"Thank you light." You replied, checking the system. "Now, we party."

You didn't help but feel… odd, considering Light's incessant giggling as you walked to the festival location.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Spartans were a little confused at the booths, the fountain of booze, and the stage that was prepared in the large habitat for them.

You had told them it would be a social gathering, one where the objective was to have fun… to engage in activities that were, for so long denied from you, but both Mendez, and the crazy ONI lady that was only now getting the book thrown at her for so many counts of child abuse.

"So… what do we do?" Linda asked as she looked at the whole place, with skeptical eyes.

"Whatever you want." You stated as you popped open the large keg of homemade whisky.

This was going to be fun. You then chugged an entire bottle of it.

Tolerance: 1D100 => 4 vs 10

But then you realized something…

Light said this kind of alcohol was made for Kelly. Who was a speedster.

And then, you blacked out, your body not being able to remain conscious due to the horrible cocktail that was now ingested by you.

Fun Times Ahead: 1D100 => 76
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You awoke to see the entire habitat was trashed, the booths that you had prepared, trashed… and the entire Spartan Class was gone.

But the wake of destruction was evident, as the booze was all gone. Meaning everyone got their fill… or Kelly drank it all.

You honestly didn't know which was scarier.

But you did know that Daisy, Ralph, and Caleb were sleeping, back to back with you. It seemed not even the party could have separated you from them.

"Eh." Daisy rubbed her skull and looked up. "Why is everything so bright?"

Light laughed. "You are suffering from a hangover dear." He clapped as he smiled at you. "And I believe every Spartan is drunk… with the possible exception of John and Sam."

Lovely. "Light, could you do a status check on everyone… or get Sigma to do it?" You groaned as Caleb faceplanted on the floor.

"Nobody move!" He shouted as he stood up. His wild eyes were… well very sleepy, and he gazed at you and Daisy. "Okay, which one of you fucked?"

You raised an eyebrow. "Pardon?"

Caleb sighed in relief. "Oh thank god, we avoided that future."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Ralph asked as he shook his head. "And who fucked who?"

Caleb bolted across the floor and picked up the empty whisky keg.

"Light how strong did you make this?" He asked.

"Enough to get Kelly hammered in one shot, why?" He asked.

"Oh no no no…" Caleb panicked.

"Okay, what's wrong?" You asked.

"I think someones pregnant," he stated. "And that is a very bad thing!"

"Who?" You asked, trying to rub your head.

"I don't know… all I saw was a girl, and she was fucking someone… and they are here on the Beacon… so that means one of our comrades has just gotten pregnant." He stated.

"You do know we're sterile right?" You stated.

Light then coughed. "Actually, you're not sterile. In fact, quite the opposite. Your sex drives may be muted and they prevent you from having many sexual feelings, and urges… along with your close sibling-like relationships with the fellow spartans making those kinds of desires very unappealing to you… you are actually very capable of having children. Hell, the females even have the ability to keep their wombs fully stocked even when they are old because of the…" You narrowed your eyes at Light.

"Sorry, a planet asked me to help with their sterility problem and I may have put that into the augmentations by… accident." Light sheepishly stated. "Not my fault."

"You said it would help them survive the augmentation, giving them a slight regenerative healing factor!" You shouted at Light.

"Well, it is a regenerative healing factor… just not the one you were expecting." Light replied.

"Light, if I could kill you, I would." You stated.

"Believe me, dying would serve both of us well at this point." Light replied, folding his arms. "Even if my memories would not mold properly in your mind for a decade at least."

You both didn't mean what you said, you knew that, and he did as well… it was the whisky talking.

"Okay, Caleb, why is one of our friends getting pregnant a bad thing?" Ralph asked.

"Because that girl is… kinda… stolen?" He stated. "And if we don't protect her, she'll allow humanity to be destroyed."

"Destroyed by what?" Daisy asked.

"I don't know," Caleb replied. "All I know is that she's important."

Great… child of destiny bullshit. "We should go inform the doctor, and start getting pregnancy tests given out." You stated.

The Surprise:1D100 => 90

A few minutes later, you walked to the doctor's room, and were surprised to notice that it was locked.

She never locked her door? Why would she do so now?

But as Sigma opened the door, you had your answer. A gentleman was sleeping with the good doctor…

Both were nacked, and you could smell sex in the air.

You turned to Caleb, and then back to the doctor, and her sleeping companion, who you now recognized as… the same man whom you saw as a child, so many years ago when Halsey was on earth.

Keys was his name you think.

"Doctor?" You said as both woke, startled, and covering themselves as you stood in the doorway.

"Actually, I'll come back later, when you're both dressed." you stated your face not even a hint of red from the sheer embarrassment the two people were feeling.

You shut the door behind you. "Sigma, report?"

"Well, thankfully, none of the Spartans, male or female are pregnant." Sigma replied.

"Excellent." You replied.

"But from my scans of Doctor Halsey, she has a 99%-"

You raised your hand and smiled. "Sigma… I know. Tell everyone that once the hangover is passed, we need to clean up habitat B."

"Yes sir." He responded with a nod.

"So what did I do last night?" You asked as you wandered back towards your own room.

"You, John, Daisy, Cassandra, and Caleb threw a concert, and it was a helluva show might I add," Sigma replied. "It got over ten billion views on Waypoint."

That was nice… wait? "Waypoint?"

"Yes sir, it appears that I think it was… you, who live-streamed the whole concert. Waypoint is calling you the Spartans… thinking you're a band, instead of a top-secret military unit." Sigma replied.

Oh…

Mendez was going to throw a fit once he finally woke up.

At least you were still alive.

Stuck to just Training, but alive nonetheless.

And you have returned to Reach, for the final six months of training… and to finally graduate.

You can only train this turn:

Choose 4
[]Riflemanship: You are being taught how to use, maintain, and clean a standard battle rifle.
[]Battlefield Tactics: You are going to learn how to command people on the battlefield.
[]Robotics: "Do not rely on this machine to win your battles."
[]Hand to Hand: Time to learn how to fight well.
[]Vehicles: "We got Vehicle sims here… Sweet!"
[]Piloting: "Good thing we have flight sims."
[]Cybernetics: There were a few cool movies you saw. Scary ones but the way the hero replaced his limbs with robotic ones was amazing.
[]Information Warfare: You want to learn how to use computers to destroy the enemy.
[]Starship Tactics: You want to learn how to lead a battlefleet. It feels… right.
[]Spycraft: You want to be a Spy.
[]Weapons Mastery: You want to learn to use all the weapons on base, to proficiency.

AN: Enjoy and vote in plan format.
