So reasons to vote for becoming the leader of the Undumgi.
We're going to be Belegar's External Spymaster, dealing with the threats outside of Karak Eight Peaks, threats that the Undumgi are going to also be dealing with. Death Pass is going to become the richest trading route on the entire planet, merchants from as far as Brettonia or Araby, let alone The Empire or Kislev, will be sending caravans through Death Pass to reach Ind and Nippon and Cathy, and the fortunes made upon their return will be immense beyond all reason. Its the Undumgi who are going to be patrolling Death Pass, to ensure it stays secure, and we can be their leader.
This isn't only a position that lets us set up that Ranaldian Temple Tavern Gambling Den where Mork Got Mugged, this isn't only a position where we could help redeem Ranald The Protector while furthering his influence as The Gambler, it lets us send agents intel agents Across The Entire Damned Planet. Brettonia, Araby, The Empire, Barack Var, Ind, Cathy, Nippon, and even get info on The Dark Lands where the Chaos Dwarves live.
Also, as the External Spymistress, we're going to be dealing with the Iron Claw Orks and Black Crag, both of which the Undumgi are going to be compatting in their duties of protecting Deaths Pass, us being able to direct the Undumgi however we need to will be very useful to us.
Like Alectai made an great post in the importance of this trade nexus.
this place is going to be a boomtown that more resembles one part Wild West Settlement and one part Adventurer's Guild, the absolutely absurd fucking wealth involved with being hired on as caravan guards for Far East Expeditions, the reliable income involved with accepting dwarfen gold for murdering greenskins and ratmen--and the opportunities that abound by living in one of the major Adventure Towns of the coming era are such that the mountain itself is going to be full of PC-equivalents, their entourages, and probably enough guns and steel to take over a small country in its own right.
This is Ranald Bait right here. The Gambler, The Protector, and The Deceiver walking hand in hand for the good of the world.
Also this.
A lot has been talked about the Undumgi, but having good relations with the Ulricans will be a huge deal too - they're a major knight order, so having them owe us a favor is huge when it comes to Imperial politics.
Similarly, because of their usual approach to magic, this is a rare opportunity for the Grey College to acquire a medium through which to talk to the Ulricans, which will give Mathilde more College favor.
As an added bonus, Mathilde would be more then happy to help them set up their faith among the humans here, since it fills a gap that would likely otherwise be filled by Sigmar.
If we put ourselves in charge, we can kick out Sigmar, and let Ulric or Ranald thrive in his place. Ulric is going to have a presence no matter what, so working things out with their leader can only help things, given we're all going to be sticking around long term.
