Hummm…
That's…A problem. A solvable problem in some ways, but in others…
Well.
That Nat 1 in the wrong place at the wrong time was always coming in one way or another.
But this point here potentially REALLY stings!

"Do you know how much effort it normally takes to craft a platter of truth and lies that will so haunt a mortal that they will spend the rest of their days trying their best to decorticate it? But you and yours who have so wonderfully usurped the Sword of Tlanxla have so twisted your own minds that I could say anything or nothing and you will dwell obligingly on it forever. If I said 'I like your hat' - and I really, really do - you will wonder, is this an example of the pettiest of statements for you to nevertheless obsess over, to demonstrate that I can command your mind through only your ears? Or am I making a deeper statement about how truly it pleases the Lord of Sorcery for a witch to wear the garb of those that would hunt her? Am I masking truth in lies, or lies in truth? Would it only be a truth if you decide it a lie, or only a lie if you decide it a truth? Or is eternal indecision that which I seek?"

This is calling us questers out directly.

Anyway - oh shit?

...What just happened?
The thread just got enough fuel to argue over for a hundred pages and a month.
The First Betrayer sobs his fury for all to hear, knowing that the time will soon come again when he will crown one that might achieve what he could not and will never.
For those wondering, this refers to Belkor, the first major mortal follower of Chaos and cursed to always appoint a Special Boy without ever getting to be one himself.

Do we still have players advocating for Dhar? Seems like they need to set their sights higher than the second coming of Dark Wizard McNobodyCares, and onto big things like the next Champion of Chaos Undivided!

I like your funny words, Daemon Thing.
It is exactly that! He knew exactly what he needed to due to fuck with her head. A small gift and words that will stick with her forever.

WTF does this even mean? Has it got to do with the old ones?
Another temptation. Simply drops the words of 'Sword of Tlanxla'. What does that mean? What could it even do? Another mystery laid out for a mystery seeker that is a ever gnawing curiosity.

So, Egrimm, Alric, and Drycha are all part of the Everchosen Bowl.

But, well, so is Mathilde, so is Egrimm a willing participant, or an unknowing one?

I don't believe there's anything to say other than 'well, shit'. Insofar as there is one, the plot has found us.

She managed to seal the hole, but picked up at least one mutation in the process.
I don't think there's anything in particular about this that suggests a mutation, unless we continue hearing words after this update.

Mathilde accidentally opened a hole to Literally Hell and got super-tempted by a bird, but she evacuated the magic of the Room (thanks, Room of Calamity), and then forced the rift closed (or possibly, closed it down infinitesimally, the exact wording leaves that room for ambiguity, though we'll surely know next update).
