I think a major reason why we should do two more recruitment actions is because right now, the majority of Waystone Project participants are from the Empire's Colleges:

Waystone Project Participants
Grey College (LM Mathilde)
Gold College (M Maximilian, M Johann)
Light College (LM Egrimm, LM Elrisse)
Jade College (M Tochter Grunfeld)
Runesmithing (RL Thorek)
Grey Lords (Grey Lord Hatalath)
Ward of Frost (Vicereine Cadaeth)
Hag Witches (Baba Niedzwenka)
Ice Witches (Zlata)

Now the Colleges have, I'd argue, three traditions: Teclesian magic by way of the Colleges in general, and the pre-College secrets of the Light and Jade Orders. (We know the Grey and Gold don't have anything non-Teclesian to contribute.) Making the total of different traditions and participants the following:

Colleges: 3 Traditions, 6 Participants.
Everyone else: 5 Traditions, 5 Participants.
Total: 8 Traditions, 11 Participants.

The Colleges are over half of the participants while only being 3/8ths of the different magical traditions. (Or, as some might see it, only one tradition out of 6.) I think this current setup is just too unbalanced in favor of College participants. We want this to look like an international research team, not an extended Empire project. It'll be much healthier for us to bring in two more Traditions and two (or more) Participants from outside the Colleges, like so:

After potential recruitment:
Colleges: 3 Traditions, 6 Participants.
Everyone else: 7 Traditions, 7+ Participants.
Total: 10 Traditions, 13+ Participants

This would make things much more balanced on Empire Colleges vs. non-College on the number of Participants and greater Tradition variety. (It'd also bring us up to 3 Traditions and 3+ Participants from our Laurelorn, our host.)
 
It's not like recruitment will totally shut down once we do Foundations. Better to focus on making sure Foundations goes as well as it can with Gambler now, and then use Father next turn across more traditions with more AP freedom.

Yeah, we were told we had a broad enough cross section that we'd able to integrate without further AP cost anyone who didn't have a waystone friend named frank 2 magical discplines back. So rushing to do that now at the cost of being less likely to start things off on the best food forward possible seems like getting things a bit backwards to me.

I also really don't think we're going to be short of WEBMAT actions we're going to want to be doing for the foreseeable future, so the idea we should go light this turn as we've got a free hand due to laying the foundations isn't that compelling, not at the cost of a losing 2AP to get 1.

Kindaaa would prefer to try out AV + Enchanting as opposed to Stones, but... eh. Wanted to try both options at somepoint.

Edit: Am very pleased sunken palace is getting to become a headquarters. That usage really not in keeping with my conception of Ranald, but then again neither are Mathilde's and Hilde's job roles - but an underground spy lair seems pretty useful and cool. and relatively close to the EIC headquarters.

I want to set up the auditors, initiate trade with the Eonir, then drop the EIC actions altogether so we can focus more on our library, because my interest lies a lot more there than with the EIC.

Probably the leading plan I like most, it seems like a good idea to put our best focus on putting the gamber on setting the foundations since it's so important we get it done right.

I'd be more inclined to Plan: No Recruitment if it wasn't for the apparition binding being done before we've tamed the arcane marks. Having parts of Mathilde's soul still be wild and controlled while she tries to bolt an apparition to it seems like a bad idea.

I'd definitely be inclined to getting those arcane marks done though, it seems like it could be an interesting action.
 
Does the Cult of Sigmar recognise the Ancestor Cult Conclave's declaration that Mathilde is a dwarf? Are they religiously obligated to give her aid?
