[X] Keep to the original plan. Find the invasion force and join them as they fight their way through Karag Nar.

I doubt that informing people of the exact details would alter the battleplan to any degree.
Just stick to the plan, prepare the fortified position they can fall back to. Especially since we are so exhausted.

Still shouldn't the rangers be able to take Karag But without Mathildes help, and why should Mathilde choose to sit out the critically important battlefield where her fellow stirlanders are at the most danger and when they need her more than ever, tired or not, besides don't the dwarves or journeymen have some sort of potion or magic that gives Mathilde a emergency boost for a emergency situation?

Trying to use more magic to get over the exhaustion from channeling too much magic seems like a poor idea.

Dwarves are way more fellow to her than vast majority of humans, especially prejudiced stirlanders, at this point.

And miscasting magic may well make us a liability and not an asset. Warp Perils are scary yo.

I do think that the best Mathilde can do is sit tight. She's exhausted, and an exhausted wizard is a liability.

Mathilde has also done a lot. She's decapitated the orcs of Karag Nar. Their warboss-shaman is dead, and his closest lieutenants have probably gone with him.

If we're extra lucky the orcs of Karag Nar will be trying to sally out to the battle at the Citadel right now, abandoning their defences to charge right into the Expedition's prepared lines.

She can still decapitate some Orks I guess lol.
She is a decent enough fighter even without too much magic.

Tired as she is, she can't help out much. Continuing the current plan lets the dwarfs get a stable position behind them, which is exactly what dwarfs like best when fighting. Probably the best we can really do for right now.
Yes she can.
Torc of Fire: A reward from the Bright College, it inspires allies and intimidates enemies when activated. Lasts a few minutes, requires fire to recharge
If literally all she does is turn up and use the torc a single time before retreating that is a pretty useful contribution to the battle. And it's an item so we have no risk of miscasting due to exhaustion.

Unrelated to the current strain of thought but we're probably going to want to research ritual magic both of Ulgu and other winds of magic (which would definitely draw some attention) if we want to make use of the snake juice. Having bottled high magic already stable means really only need to find the current patterns to pour the magic into ahead of time as we don't need to channel any of it ourselves. So ritual enhanced enchanting or rune worked high magic is theoretically possible for Mathilde with the snake juice.

My memory is coming up short here, but runesmithing is declining both because of the lost holds and because magic is more 'stable' now right? Like, way back when all the bigger works were made there was magic storms when they were runesmithed? Like the count weapons.

Now the main question, if the dwarves had access to the snake juice would that go a ways to alleviating limited magic? Liquid high magic seems like something that would/should go a good way to making some really good runesmithed items.

Mathilde isn't just physically tired, her literal soul is tired and rubbed raw. Sending her into battle right now is probably a terrible idea.

The caldera greenskins have long way to come through a thunderstorm. The battle for this mountain is happening now. Win it and they'll have to siege a Karak from the surface rather than swarm us in a field battle. That'll give us plenty of time to rest then contribute.

She will be of more help clearing out Karag Nar with the dwarves so the others can retreat into the fortified Karags as planned, than running off to help with the explicitly defensive action that will be forced to continue until Karag Nar is cleared anyway. And that's before considering her current exhaustion.

If she can cast her armour spell before going off to fight she wouldn't feel the physical exhaustion anymore. It's a decently large if to be fair, but it's an option.
If it weren't for Aethyric Armour preventing your muscles from aching worse than they already did, you reflect as you make your way up an mountain-length staircase, you'd probably leave the riches to their fate.
Mathilde is already exhausted, physically.
Aethyric Armour doesn't appear to remove existing exhaustion and muscle ache, just prevent more accumulating while it's active.
