Part of a Elector meeting is to show off the prestige of the various electors so bringing a tank and a medium escort would be in line with showing off and not weaken Ostland by too much as well or being arrogant as well.

Bringing tank to try and make deals with the Altdorf Mechanical college. That's still a good formation with a minimum of 11 cannons and two hero's and monsters in form of tank and Gryphon.

Kislev shuts down the borders and fights an internal enemy.

Beastmen flow into the Province from all directions.

Other threats build ominously.

It's not just about showing off or not, but actually arriving there and coming back in case of ambushes and similar stuff. A large Escort is fine, too.

Well, the entire update was extremely ominous. I'm still not sure what Kislev thinks they are doing. Impeding traders and merchants like this and keeping them from selling their goods directly (or at all) is a fantastic way to lose your trade agreements and all sorts of mercantile activity past any civil war they might have.

I would be surprised if even half of the traders actually returned to that country on their own accord, given that no one knows whether their usual contacts are still alive or not and the reception continues to be frosty at best.

There is caution and self protection and then there is outright paranoia that only serves to bring harm to your own country. This is the latter. I doubt that the Dwarfs are experiencing anything different, which means that trade from that direction will dry up, too.

Rebuilding her country will become significantly harder for Katrina, if she manages to win.
 
Have we automatically told anyone who needs to know about what we found in Norsca? Magnus, the Reiksmarshal…I'm not sure where the line is drawn between "deal with your shit" and "potential Empire-scale important" stuff

Technically nothing of importance was found and the Witch Hunters leading the expedition will have reported to their superiors. The Trident members already know and the rest of the Empire is probably not interested, unless we find something extremely concrete.

It would just come off as unhealthy paranoia. If someone actively asks, Frederick should obviously answer. The same goes for providing it as information, if it can support a relevant topic, but it's simply not important enough to be mentioned on its own.

A small escort with both tanks would satisfy me, but I don't imagine the wind'll blow that way :p.
