Poor Oskana. She's like a pet you have to sent to the Vet for a few weeks because you're going on vacation. Hopefully she'll forgive us later.

She gets to visit her brother/boyfriend and gets a fluffy munderbird out of the deal. she'll be fine... her handlers, who I'm assuming aren't ogres, on the other hand might not be so lucky.

Edit: the Druchii are the reason the Norsican threat is so low. Probably why it took the greenskins so long to show up too. We'll be trading one threat for another, but the Druchii are a lot smarter and more capable than the norse or the orks.

Wouldn't the Druchii have the advantage in ambushing any Asur expedition given that they've had a few years to scope out the local waters and the whole "we have a floating mountain, fuck your treacherous reefs" thing?

Anyway, rather than throwing resources trying to hunt down a Black Ark, I'd rather we just alert our neighbours* and simply continue to expand our fleet and fortify our coastline until we get a better grip on the raider pressure(aiming for sub-50 DCs). I'm fine with arming the Albionese against the Druchii and Fimir though.

That said, Druchii raider pressure is suppressing Norscan raider pressure, so it's not entirely negative.

*and the Marienburgers/Bretonnians suppose.
Asur Mist Mages are a thing, and the Sealord of Ulthuan Aislinn loves to use them and is damn good at it. And Aislinn is exactly the sort of person who lives for an opportunity to beat the shit out of the Dark Elves on his terms.

I forget, how do the Wood Elves feel about the Dark Elves? Is it possible they could bond with the High Elves over killing the Dark Elves?

Just a thought.

If we get too many factions involved in the Albionese campaign, we're going to have a West/China Imperialism situation with a bad roll. Everyone is going to want a slice of the primitive pie with all the silver.

another reason to get ulthan involved. their snooty as hell but they don't really do Imperialism, and very much would be intrested in an isolated black ark.

Well, at most , informing our allies that the druchii are using the albion as a port is prob good enough for them to mobilize and start planning patrol routes there.

Could also continue to trade with Albion and improve our ships(now that we captured some druchii ships) to a better standard or number.

Our intrigue also lucked and we can slowly remove the mariennburg economic hold on us slowly.

Overall, this is a good turn.

Inform the elves and have them tell everyone one else and omit your involvement, about the black arc so if it does sink Malekith or whatever will just blame the elves. As it is a matter of prestige to the elves (sinking a black arc would be like bragging rights 4ever,!) thus letting them claim credit of the discovery could be boon worthy.

Can someone check the map and see if the druchi are far enough away from albion to have trouble with reinforcing there people

They are on the other side of an ocean with the high elves in the way. there won't be any quick reinforcements that are not already using the ark as a base.

SWEET!
so quick plan smuggle weapons to the albions in epic amounts for them to fight tbe fimir and profit in sales, but hide cannons with all of the gear and build an outpost just to provoke the druchi to attack, when they do (cuz its what they do) unveil the cannons and wreck some shit (or build a cardboard fortress that looks impressive but is actualy a deathtrap/filled with blackpowder) hopefully they comit a non negligible amount of their forces there and have the asur sail out of the mist with doves flying around them like a john woo film and smash into the rear of the raiding force while tbe rest of the asur murderize the black arc.

!IT WILL BE EPIC!
WITH EXPLOSIONSSSSSSSSSS!
We of course being rational people will inform the freindly clan heads about the cannons so no accusations of invasion are bandied aboot

I see a few problems with this plan. First and foremost, due to the more or less constant rain, guns and gunpowder won't work in Albion.

Hmmm...crossbows and Steel weapons in general then? Its time Ostland diversified a bit in the weapons trade. We do have the Street of Steel. Plus we have created some nice non gunpowder innovations as well.
We make the outside of the fortress out of stone but inside is entirely wood and we smuggle oil instead of black powder, stupid mist ruining all the explosions.

ask a dwarf to make a fort that looks impressive but is designed to catch fire and burn druchi to death, should ignite from walls to the center of the fort and have a tunnel desiged to exfil everyone rigged to colapse when you ignite the place (as the raid approaches fight for time so all the goods and people get smuggled out then fall back to the keep of the fort and seal yourselves in "wink wink" then fwoosh everything burns)

extra credit for any ideas involving druchi ships and flames cuz our smugglers fort should have a dock (hopefully flammable and currently being used by druchi)

EUREKA! water tight barrels filled with sawdust or just sawdust from all the construction kept dry somehow and a flame wizard, BOOM i still get explosions

Honestly, the biggest issue was, at this point, creating new casting molds, expanding and refurbishing the foundries. But that was done without issue, thanks to the newly opened real estate. Or would the word expanded be better? The lands opened up by expanding the city meant that a not inconsiderable amount of money for the project was spent buying a few buildings out entirely. By it's been done. You've had the Ironblaster for some time, and while the Gold Wizards examined it, nearby, your engineers and smiths worked on the first casting. Each individual Ironblaster is the prize weapon of entire tribes of ogres, and you can understand why. They're damned big! But by the end of this year, however, it has been done. One brand new Titan Cannon, fitted not just with some incredibly huge spheres of stone and iron for cannonballs, but with oddly fitted grapeshot. The latter, when loaded and stacked properly, fling themselves forward without causing undue damage to the inner portion of the barrel. Wheeling it about is a hell of a thing, and it requires an entire team to load it. For now, the Titan Cannon has been placed upon a large armor-plated wooden platform on a wheelbed. It takes four strong horses to pull it about, and they have to be moved about before firing. Unless one wants permanently deafened ones, at least. But oh, for all the expense…when it fires…oh yes. If you manage to fire a good Great Cannon shot, properly aimed at a mass of infantry? You can bounce it through their bodies pretty well. But one Titan Cannon shot can take out just…so many foes. It's incredible, but they'll be expensive as all hell to engineer and to craft the ammo and platforms foe. All things considered, however, it should be worth it. Reward: Titan Cannons, Ironblaster-sized properly maintained steel-based cannons. Requires 7 To Properly Crew/Load/Etc. +1 Titan Cannon Added To Army of Ostland Roster.

so this is going to be just about perfect for naval defenses. It will be able to just delete ships at range. Probably not as effective as its mass in smaller cannons on a ship though. In general, I think this may be more of defensive weapon, simply due to the issues transporting it and the needed munitions and powder. But that's good, most of our murdering is done close to home. Long term, we will probably put a few of these on the walls of our cities.

The Mist Mages were used during the Marienburg raid to generate mist, not to dispel it.
The Druchii are not without magic support themselves. And the Dark Elves are less hesitant to worship Mathlann than their High Elven counterparts.
The last time Aislinn tried to beat the shit out of the Druchii, he lost to the tune of "left for dead at sea, washed up on the shores of Ulthuan through divine intervention six months later."

When it comes to the amount of force either side can throw at the other, Ulthuan and Naggaroth are on relatively even terms.

One of the reasons Albion uses bronze might be because bronze doesn't rust.

Steel properly treated and cared for can last a long time. Longer than it would take killing griblies to ruin it anyway.

The most likely reason is probably Albion being a bog infested island doesnt have very good iron deposits that haven't rusted. Anything deep enough to still be good from the bogs is probably in Fimir hands.

Given that and their level of civilization. They probably mostly have Bronze because of shellife and reforgeability. A long with ease of access.

The bronze means the place has Copper and Tin deposits too. Not unusual given Warhammer world is so mineral wealthy. But any easily accessible Iron would sooner or later rust from bogs. Or be gathered by the underground fimir.

Keywords being properly treated and cared for.

The veil of fog(and the resulting British weather) kind of turned Albion into a shithole and regressed its society into a tribal backwater.

So wooden fort with trapped ceilings that drop sawdust and ignite built into the smugglers fortport with evac tunnel and plan for merchants. With storage underground cuz goods dont need air and once everything burns you roll back in and build the actual fort from stone and unpackck all your product rom the earth.

The druchi will probly attack in mass if you bring enough stuff (so they have room to loot you and grab slaves) and if you time it right most of the ships will be after your fort, not protecting the ark so when we do commit to albion intervention make that bitch look massive and flammable but not at first sight and draw as many druchi as you can

We know the druchi will raid so trap them in the burning fortport with their ships
