Characters Of Note
Name: Herman Eisenberg
Appearance:
History: Herman was a soldier, born and bred. Like his father and his father before him, and as far back as memory could serve the Eisenberg's were warriors and goods ones at that. Each male of the family worked their way up the ranks like some sort of tradition.
Herman though trained his mind just as much as his arm. In the academy he was known more for how to position troops to greatest effect over who he could beat personally. At graduation, he was chosen to be the sergeant of a hundred swordsmen, a great honour for one so young.
Over the next ten years, Herman lead his men to victory after victory and was gifted with a larger and larger command. The hundred swordsmen had been reduced down to just forty hard bitten veterans, loyal and well trained.
It was during a siege of Basdahl that he really made a name for himself. Not a large place, but home to a minor duke. The place was beset by rampaging Beastmen led by a great beastlord clad in brass armour. For seven days Herman repelled their assaults and sneak attacks, waiting for reinforcements.
Their losses were great, Duke Schawtz falling in defence of his people despite the best efforts of Herman to save the man. The Beastmen seemed without number leaving Herman with no other option. Leading his most elite troops in a counter attack, they cut through to where the Beastlord stood.
The two battled for nearly an hour, Herman's blade clashing against a vicious maul wielded by the bloodthirsty beast. Each blow was turned aside by the great animals armour and with a mighty blow, his own sword was shattered as the maul sent Herman careering backwards. It was a combination of overconfidence and bloodlust, that allowed the injured man to thrust the broken weapon into the throat of the creature bringing it down.
Leaderless, the Beastmen fled, lifting the siege and saving the town. It had been at a great cost, but Basdahl would survive. It would take many weeks for the Hero of Basdahl to recover, the daughter of the late Duke taking care of the man who'd saved them all. The Dukes only child she slowly fell for Herman and in recognition of his bravery, the Elector allowed their marriage and gave him the title of Duke.
With the loss of his own weapon, Herman ordered the beastlord's armour to be melted down and re-forged into a new blade for himself. To this day, it sits over the fire in the parlour as a reminder of what was lost.
Name: Bethany Eisenberg
Appearance:
History: Born to the Duke Schwatz's wife, though her mother died in childbirth when she was four years old. After that time, the Duke did all he could to keep her safe and make her a proper lady like her mother had been.
Well known to the local nobility for her grace, beauty and kind ways, Bethany's father never let any man get too close through fear of them taking her away from him. It was unfortunate that he fell during the siege of Basdahl leaving her alone in the world.
During the siege she had admired Captain Eisenberg, bravely defending the tower and risked himself to bring her father's body back to her. When he was injured to break the siege, she couldn't not look after him personally and as the days went by, the pair fell in love.
It was the happiest day of her life when the Elector Count agreed to her request, and the pair were joined and Captain Eisenberg, became Duke Eisenberg.

The main character is the child. If you are familiar with Fallout 3, the growing up steps will be much along the lines of how they do character creation.
I know I started a Vampire CKII quest a long time ago on here, but work blocked me from SV so I couldn't keep it going.
I have finally got them to unlock it, so I can now run something once more.
Obviously how s/he grows up, will determine how things end up for them.
Where choosing the decisions, well discussed and informed ideas will result in either bonuses for rolls or maybe bonus traits or skills.
