Warhammer 40K: Broadside Adventures (Imperial Navy Quest)

I assume we are competitive with them on acceleration? Light cruisers are pretty fast.
They are better sprinters, in the long run, you will be faster thanks to the larger engines. Don't let them get somewhere where they can use their nimbleness to their advantage! And to answer your next question, no such area is close by. The problem is that you're one ship and they are four. They can split up easily.

And likely the pirates will know all of that. They'll split up and we'll get one of them. Unless they decide to fight us in which case we might get those dumb enough to try. Hmm. I don't think this will be much of a win, but at least we will have driven off the pirate raid, and if we're lucky, they will have been around for a while and have a base we can track down. Big if though.

Could we try and come in on a ballistic trajectory, make ourselves look like an abandoned wreck, or have we already been spotted?

[X] Plot an intercept course, move at cruising speed and broadcast demands that they immediately power down their engines and surrender. If compliance is not met, move to engage with the laser batteries.

You've been spotted as you can guess from their sudden turn and running away from you. It is also not hard to miss your arrival. You left the Warp (big spike on any Augur) with running engines and reactors. To put it simply, any ship with even a half working set of Augur Arrays can pick you up. It was them, that had powered down their reactors to a degree that made them almost invisible. But you have better Augur Arrays and they got lazy in there camouflage skill.

Voting is closed!

Plotting Intercept Curse = Can Intercept 1 Enemy Ship in time.

Cruising Speed = Failure, Enemy sets Engagement distance to maximum = Long Range

Demand Surrender = Three ships power down

[x] opening statement: destroy/incapacitate the farthest vessel attempting to flee from you while blaring a surrender message to all other vessels while accelerating to intercept. Failure to acknowledge and power down will result in their destruction. edit: Also send Vox calls to Planets defense forces and ships to be on alert and to act if the pirates go near them. They may not be able to help since we are so far away but their reaction to our call and the time it takes them to act will tell us if we can trust them and these are pests they have been unable to destroy or partners in crime that they dont want to throw away.
