It's 2035, and America is one nation under siege.


The New Psychic State, an insurgent group touting an ideology of 'evolutionary supremacy' descended directly from Nazism, is using supernatural psychic powers to overthrow the government and install a fascist regime, under the brutal strongman Richard Wagner. And they're winning--the military is stretched thin in manpower and supplies, the Acting President enforces martial law over a rump state in Hawaii, and NPS forces are using mind controlled slaves to build massive cities for the new psychic elite.


Some call it the Second American Civil War. Others, seeing the chaos that has now erupted in the rest of the world, call it World War III.


But all is not lost. The New Psychic State is not the only group with the power of the mind at their disposal. A growing number of psychics are joining Army remnants and resistance cells across the nation. They are the American people's best, last hope to defeat the NPS and bring back a free, democratic, stable world.


The US Army has a codename for them.

Hey, guys! This is based on my own original verse, which I've always wanted to do a proper RP of. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested. Hopefully we can get this off the ground. Anybody in?

Although, what does this imply? What are we? Psychic soldiers in service of the state? Normal citizen awakening physic powers and who wants to free the state?
Maybe expanding on this a bit more could help us get an idea on what you're trying to do or more precisely, what you're trying to make us do, in this RP.

Normal citizens--essentially nonaligned psychics. I really need to remember to make it clear.
 
Sounds dope, if players can access psychics I'd like the whole 'tactile telekinesis' thing

If I say "nothing", it's gonna bite me in the ass. If I give a specific list, it'll also bite me in the ass (in the form of "well you didn't SAY"). As a general guideline, though, nothing that would fundamentally violate known physics (shapeshifting, time travel, teleportation, etc) is allowed, and mind control is NPC only. Telepathy is allowed, but it's very limited.

What about telekinesis that gets stronger the closer to the person it is? Or telepathy that only works to make others believe the user doesn't exist? A lot of variants on that one, like making them forget everything about the user once they look away. Illusions that are so real seeming they set off people's senses? A [Menacing] Aura? What about technological assimilation based powers?

Lotsa choices.
 
I would like superboy type telekinesis if too strong then power it down to early non flight Gold Age superman/hugo danner or gold age two fist heroes

That's quite vague. I mean doesn't psychics by themselves violate physics? Take telekinetics. They're creating a force without prior origin with their mind. Another one, Pyrokinetics. They're creating energy out of nothing and manipulate it with their mind. Psychics violate the Three Laws of Thermodynamic on a regular basis, especially the first one.

I would suggest putting no real limiter on the players but just to scale the enemies accordingly. Although, reality-warping and other such psychic powers of the same level are obviously out.
I would suggest for players to start low to middle and develop from there. Like a building-buster level?

If you want, you can use this to create a 'Psychic Level Classification': Tiering System of Vs Battles
Where-in the lowest level would be Tier-11 and the hard-cap that can only be achieved through character development and training: High 6-A tier. Although, I imagine that would be end-game level power. :V

Im gonna pull something from a book called "Hard Magic" And ask for Gravity Control. Basically allows the user to apply or subtract the gravitational force on an object. Would mainly be used for carrying equipment and weapons and crushing enemies.
 
What about Kinetic energy amping. Say Gambit from X Men ( maybe even channel to enhance stats.) or even go "rail gun." And instead of tossing exploding cards/rocks but make hands into rail guns that propel coins hardcenoygh to count as a sniper bullet?
