Warcraft: The Rise of the Mag'har

My concern is that with New Warriors, it'll take a long time to really consolidate, and it'l take even more time to arm them.

I'd rather improve what we still have, get them better organized, armed, and then start recruiting more. Buffing out the rest of the clan lines is the first step to a more disciplined force, and it'll finish right before the Blackrock Mine is ready.

Furthermore, it'll likely also take more time if we set it up when they've already replaced numbers...

Hmm, Torroar liked my post. Meaning that it is actually possible that if we don't keep trying to get in good with the Alliance now. The Alliance expedition might actually split up.

Shrug, as long as people vote with both eyes open. I'm actually thinking of trying again though. Having the entire expedition with us would be awesome.

You accidentally put Increasing Defenses on there when it's already locked in.

Edit: Then again, Piety is on there so I guess it's a test of who's paying attention.

Let the Alliance cool off for a bit.

Secure the gains. +1 Learning is attractive, but not attractive enough to lock all of Stewardship.

Keep working on magic lore. Merely combat magic isn't enough.

No rest for the wicked.

I wonder how Priest Garrosh is going to react to Grom's redemption arc of slaying Mannoroth. Will he be encouraged by it, attempt to reconcile his original view of his father with his dying acts, or find it to be too focused on redeeming his excuses rather than his actions?

I guess we'll learn if he learns of it.

I'm reasonably sure that we all know that canon is rather off the rails by this point. There is no 'Lord of Outland' Magtheridon, no overwhelming horde of fel orcs chasing down the draenei, and a far stronger Mag'har presence than ever before. Much less the stuff you guys aren't even aware of.

Eh, to be fair, most of the events on Azeroth are still going to play out as before until near the end of the Frozen Throne. Because nobody can get to or from Outland until then.

And to be blunt, we're not a significant priority for the Legion as a whole. Kil'jaeden will still be fucking with us on principle if he finds out Velen is still alive, but he wasn't a major player on the Azeroth front--that was largely Archimonde's show.

Now, that isn't to say nothing at all will change, but right now, the Legion is busy going "Yeah, fuck the Orcs, they didn't work, let's go try something else to get at Azeroth".

Mmmm. I was focusing more on the fact that the next visitor will be Illidan, by himself, and Maiev, with a relatively well sized Night Elf force.

What you do with them, Hellfire Peninsula, and the Naga+Kael'Thas...I assume that you guys aren't going to let them do completely as they wish, yeah?

Really depends.

Are we talking "Max Villany" Illidan and Maiev/Kael'Thas, or more nuanced looks at them before they were set up to be raid bosses or arbitrarily villains?

Have to take these events as they come.

gotta say though, 35 votes is a bit sad considering that the last survey got 75 votes.

Oh well. :(

I'll close the vote tomorrow.
Well, this is finals week for me at least so I haven't been paying attention to stuff; that could apply to a lot of other people as well.

Also, I don't normally check for new threads all that often. If that's true for others a lot of people might not even know it's back.

Give it a little while I'd say (or advertise a little if you want). Once the hype train gets rolling again the votes should be back up.

Also, I'm on to your scheme. You and Arcman aren't going to trick me back into WoW again! I have a Ph.D. to finish : (

*shakes fist at Illidan* I CRUSHED YOUR BODY TO PASTE ON THE WAY TO THE FROZEN THRONE, WHY WOULDN'T YOU JUST STAY DEAD?

Ahem. Well it all depends on what events lead them to us and how they approach.

I'm particularly fond of Rise of the Hist's use for him, where they forcefully made him a demon portal closer/opener until he was worn out and about ready to die, cutting off his limbs in the process.
