Warcraft: The Rise of the Mag'har

No Sand Gnomes. They make no sense to me.

Couldn't they be a group of Gnomes that came with the expedition and got seperated in the confusion of the planet blowing up? Ended up in the Bone Wastes and had to descend into triabalism to survive? I have a whole theory about them on top on the page 150.

Nah its cool, its just that I've seen the word dabbler so many times now that its doing that thing where it stops looking like a word.

You know, like how you can say banana outloud enough times and it just sounds stranger and stranger?

Ah.

I just try to keep to the official definitions of most given words. Makes it easier to properly nuance when you don't have to figure out if people mean "mildly irritated" when they say "hate". Also makes it easier to communicate that you're really tired when you don't toss around words like "exhausted" nilly-willy.

Dabble marks the boundary between somebody who knows absolutely nothing about a subject and somebody who has no working knowledge about a subject. I personally consider that particular distinction fairly important.

Why this big hullabaloo over whether dranosh dabbles in shamanism or not?

He cant use his knowledge for.anything useful so its a moot point anyway.

Thrall might have been the biggest shaman on azeroth but garrosh still handed him his ass in a slugging match. Dranosh is not a shaman nor is he inclined to shamanism.

He will probably be the scariest warrior the maghar have though.

No, I've read your theory. The issue is that gnomes are the most technologically advanced race, they can make stuff out of scraps of metal and stone. It would mean that they've somehow regressed to naked and spears in nine years when they could have headed back to Allerian Stronghold or contacted their mages. Oh! their mages, should be able to portal to their settlements and crap.

Good theory man, really, but I'm just not going to have them in this.

Well...ok. No, there were gnomes, they are just dead. Bone Wastes ate their souls and bodies.

Allerian is High Elves, they would have built a Dwarven place in Shadowmoon, and they have a standard human place in Hellfire. The gnomes are just all dead.

On that I can agree.

I just disagree with the notion that we count as a pure warrior, especially since we took ranks in what amounts to a prestige class(Blademaster) which may or may not have elemental connotations(windwalk especially), combined with Orcs being naturally empowered by the elements and our having participated in a minor ritual, I think that would be about the same as a Forsaken/Blood Elf/Human with 10% progress towards being a level 1 shaman.

Edit: number used as an example, not a general estimate and should not be taken for fact/opinion.

Does this mean there are no surviving Gnomes that are with the rest of the expedition right now because I would think there are a few scattered with them? I was just curious if Sand Gnomes were a thing I still would like to have some friendly Gnomes in the expedition that are willing to talk to us and maybe get us past our low technology level.

Our reputation isn't going to fall if we hunt something impressive. As a matter of fact it'll increase instead of merely being maintained.

It depends how well the hunt goes and I would think that beating up some dumb Orcs would work better personally.

Thank you! I was keeping my mouth shut, but that quest was just so bloody stupid! The Bone Wastes eating the future footballs makes so much more sense.

No yeah there are still gnomes with the Alliance Expedition.

Thanks for info since Gnomes are one of my favorite Warcraft race.

I know they were out of place that was why a made a theory that would try to make sense of it but them being dead works to and makes sense.

There would have to be a reason for them to revert to primitives in under nine years instead of just jury rigging something that clanks around and explodes and whatnot else and making their way back to the Dark Portal camp whatever it's called (which I can't remember offhand because I just woke up).

EDIT: No idea why I wrote the No it doesn't part of that. Need coffee.

After we take out the Zangarmarsh Gate what gate should we focus on next since after we take it out there won't be anymore nearby gates?

in a fight without magic being used garrosh won.

in their most recent bout thrall curb stomped garrosh with stone/lava fists and lightning bolts.

Magic is superior to hitting people in the face with a sword.

hitting people in the face with a sword and magic at the same time is superior to both.

We are taking Blade Master training which will have the end result us being powered by shamism in order to use powers to augment our warrior skills like Kaz does without being a Shaman.

@torroar can you please Do something about this? Either comfirm or deny what he is saying so that he will drop the subject and stop bringing it back up.

I was more talking about his constant instance that actually knows more about shamanism then anyone else who is allowed to actively participate in a ritual without being a shaman or training to be one.

I said we dabbled.

Either learn English or stop putting words in my mouth.

Edit:To specify, I said we know the bare minimum about shamanism to be actually allowed to participate in said rituals.

Not that we know more about shamanism than others allowed to participate in rituals. just more than those not allowed to participate in rituals.

And even that is mostly by virtue of having been allowed to participate in the first place.

Truth.

Now everyone stop arguing.
