Warcraft: The Gurubashi Restoration

Kill the almost witch doctors before the become them so that we retain magic superiority and it takes longer for new ones to show up.
Kill?

We should try to suborn them if at all possible.

Having the stronger voodoo(two Loa blessings, from the bigger ones too) should really be a mark in our favour here.

A big power spike in our favour could be at the end of turn 14 though, when we have helper golems, (hopefully) completed the first step to those ancestor guardians and (hopefully) reconnected with another Loa, like Hethiss.

Likewise, we should seek out any Bloodscalp that are weary of war, ones who are mistreated as the Dire Trolls were in Zul'Gurub's Bloodscalp encampment or those fed up with the current leadership in other ways(a siege would be good to breed this kind of discontent).

This would be a good oppurtunity to court favor with the snake and spider you know - so many people to poison and lay traps for.

Traps+Poison is likely to please the spider. However:
Reconnecting With The Loa – Hethiss: Hethiss the Snake Loa is powerful. Well, all the major Loa are powerful. His attentions are on the Vicious Poison, the Swarming Scales. He appreciates the strong strike, the ruthless domination of your foes through overwhelming firepower and overwhelming numbers. Based on your recovered scraps and fragments found within the city, his personality is quite vindictive indeed, but he always had an affection for those who were able to prove themselves. To his favored his is warm and comforting, to everyone else…he is quite cold. Cost: 500. Time: 2 Years. Reward: Audience with Hethiss. Chance of Success: 85%

Whittling the enemy down with traps is unlikely to please the Snake though. What with the death of a thousand cuts style of warfare being pretty much the opposite of the strong strike and the go-to style of warfare for when you're unable to dominate your foes with either overwhelming firepower or overwhelming numbers.

I think that's (one of)the difference(s) between Shadra and Hethiss, with one being the poison meant for combat(Hethiss) and the other for assassinations, sabotage and traps(Shadra). Kind of similar to the difference between the Panther and the Tiger. And the difference between Brutally Kunning vs Kunningly Brutal...

I suggest we start trying to get Hethiss on our side before the siege starts. If not, try to divide/isolate Bloodscalp encampments(traps if necessary) and attack said camps(once isolated) with as large a force as we can muster without compromising the defences(Strong strike, overwhelming numbers/firepower). Divide and conquer basically.

Honestly, it seems like the Bloodscalps might already have Hethiss' blessing . You know, entire tribe bearing down us being overwhelming numbers and all?

Even if the Bloodscalp leader is not a Hakkar worshiper can we use the loa to spread the rumor among his people that he is. Is attack on us using his non combatants could be viewed as a major sacrifice to Hakkar. If it is hopefully it could start a rebellion among his troops.

Could also explain the reason why he wants the city so bad is because he wants to use Hakkars' temple to empower himself.

I THINK we are actually fine on that point, and don't need to worry about that. While their actions are the kind of thing he likes, they have not reconnected with the Loa yet.

It's like Khorne and Non-chaos space marines. While they fight like Khorne likes, they do not worship or do so in his name. Or maybe it's like Khorne and the Orks? The general idea is they do not directly have the Loas favour, so we can still get something done before they do.

Or maybe I am totally wrong, and we DO have something to fear. The Loa are like that...

No one besides us has full witch doctors yet thus cannot use the Loa's power.

We want to keep it that way by killing off all the almost witch doctors that don't belong to us.

Also it might be hard to Voodoo the guy. Remember that his sons had those blood wards so he and his elite might be packing them as well.

Wards meaning no spirits and no magic.

Alchemy that lacks either in the finished product might still be viable though.

Also, if it's general distance based protection? Get Dad to fly over him with a rock/mug of contact poison/jug of acid. Let gravity do the rest...

...I wonder if we could make it rain acid.

Honestly while the Bloodscalp chieftain is a super badass, our main problem will be the sheer volume of bodies he's bringing with him. That's probably more targets than we have axes and spears to chuck at.

Yeah, after you get Hethiss and Shadra and have sacrificed enough recently.

If this was an RTS, it would be a Faction Power that you can only use when you get enough Sacrificial Worth (from killing enemies, modes, etc) and researching it.

After all, a Far Seer power in Horde is literally Earthquake, so, you know.
Do we get access to anything special by having the Panther and Tiger on our side?

Of course the Bloodscalps aren't expecting there is be a siege so any such weapons will have to be constructed when they arrive at the city. Remember as far as they know the city is still wide open like it has been for decades so they won't be expecting to have to break in.

The question then becomes if Zalzilla the Killa is patient enough to sit around while the boys make the catapults. Or if he'll say to hell with that and simply charge.
