OPAS Behemoth
Holden and Naomi were rounding the corner to the Behemoth's CIC when a hail of bullets forced them to cover behind the corner.
"Do we have a target lock on the Ring, yet?" Ashford barked out to one of the stations.
"Almost there!" the crewman replied.
Holden knew that they have to stop Ashford from firing the laser at the Sol Ring because if they didn't the Slow Zone's defense system would end humanity, but how? How could they do it without ending up as bullet sponges? How…
He looked at his gun as an idea come to mind. The very same idea that they wore using to convince the security system that they are not a threat. Maybe just maybe not fighting is the solution.
He looked at Naomi and solemnly said "I love you." Before tossing the gun around the corner.
"We're unarmed!" He cried out to the guards "Don't shoot! We're coming out!" He said before he and Naomi raised their hands in a sign of surrender and rounded the corner. The guard held their fire as Ashford looked at them with a sneer.
Around the Behemot ships started to shut down their reactors after the coll from Rocinante. Their captains choosing to trust Holden over Ashford.
As Holden and Naomi approached the entrance to CIC Holden began to speak to Ashford.
"I know. You're trying to save lives. I am too!" He said trig to appeal to Ashford. "But we're on the brink right now, because we keep reacting to things we don't understand!" He continued as they approached the door. "We're scared, we're hurt, and we're reaching for violence because we can't figure out what to do. But just this once, can't we try something else?" He asked begging Ashford to reconsider only for him to look down at the firing console on the command table.
"Ashford, you know me!"Naomi called out getting Ashford attention. "I stopped following fanatics a long time ago." She begged.
Ashford looked down at the console accepting the firing solution for the laser and then coldly ordered.
"Shoot them!" The guards aimed at Holden and Naomi. Was this it?
A yell from behind Ashford was heard as Clarissa throw a guard away from her and across the room before diving quickly toward Ashford tackling him into the table and momentarily knocking him out. That was all she needed as she leaped towards the power relay box just as the guards turned around and started to fire at her. She retched the box and took out the top power module before twisting it around. Just then a bullet hit her on the side causing her to grunt from pain but it came too late as she inserted the module back in causing a chain reaction that caused complete power shutdown on the Behemoth.
There was a moment as everything was covered in darkness. Then one by one, the ships started being released from the hold of the station in the center of the slow zone.

As power returned to the Behemoth and Holden and Naomi entered CIC and saw on the monitor the feed from the external cameras showing newly freed ships. And then another Ring appeared and another and another.
"I guess it worked." Holden said.

Then the black one noticed something appearing by one of the moons before pointing it out for her companion causing him to look that way. The pair looked on at the strange ring that appeared by the moon.

Slow Zone
As the human ships burned for the Sol Ring no one on board knew just what they will find when they venture beyond the ring gates. But Holden know that he and the crew of Rocinante will be in the middle of it. After all, Miller still needed a ride to figure out what happened to the Ring Builders.
