The sun hangs in the sky, turning from Day to Night, as the sound of cars going down a road, echoes out through the evening. Taylor does not notice this, as she is rather focused on her small passion project.
A few weeks ago, a bit before school ended, she managed to lay her hands on a scrapped radio, and some old tools, and decided to try her hands at, maybe tinkering with it, is the best way to express her intent to repair it, and see if she can't make it look nice.
So far, she has repaired it, but it currently looks almost like someone horrifically mutilated a poor, old-school car radio. Perhaps because that's pretty much what happened.
However, it does work nicely, she had to google how to solder wires, and then google how to find a soldering iron, and when that failed, because those things were fucking expensive, or at least, too much for her to get since she only had, maybe 20 bucks, and she does not trust eBay, at all.
Instead, she decided to ask Dad, who told her to be careful, wear some goggles at the very least and got some from the DWU.
Well, after all of that, she had gotten to work, and started to add more and more onto the radio. After adding the 4th Antenna version, she realized she probably should have stopped.
At the very least, the radio is connecting easier, but the antenna is all crooked, and it looks slightly creepy, all things considered.
The radio, originally, was damaged, and maybe a quarter size of the now working monstrosity that was her messed up radio, and it looked like something that should have been in some villains work shop or...something, like maybe an EMP, or something that can spy in on the authorities or something.
After turning it on, she did notice that the signals connecting to radio stations and shacks were much clearer, and easier to hear, thanks to her haphazard addition of old 'Boom Box' speakers, and the Antenna that's helping get the signal itself.
The small dish, attached to the radio, is deactivated, but then again, even she isn't sure how she made her first radio Telescope dish out of an old pizza cutter and some slightly slagged forks herself, but it works, at the very least, seeing as her first test run had her incidentally locating a satellite in the sky, while of all things changing radio frequency while the dish was up, and listen in onto some frequencies coming from the satellite herself.
Very happily, did she note, that the satellite was one of those for TV, and very scarily, did she note, that she now had the science channel speaking out of her radio, of all things, instead of her house's TV.
'this...is weird' she thought, as she listened to a show, through her radio, which should not have been possible, or at the least hack? A satellite.
If you could even call this hacking.
Quality wasn't all that good either, but the point was that she was managing to doing it.
Well, she had free sort of television now, apparently, and while that's all nice and good, she still hasn't figured out exactly how far she could push her...pseudo-Tinker tech invention?
Setting up her contraption in the backyard, she placed the massive radio on top of a table and quickly replaces the Radio dish with a newer one, which she made from a stripped microwave and a Truck Hub cap she had found abandoned and pretty wrecked by the Boat graveyard.
After extending the main antenna, and properly rigging up the new radio dish, she gets her long extension cord and plugs it into the Generator she borrowed(stole without permission, dad don't know-) from the DWU, and finally, turns it on.

Turning her head, Ziz, Ulama, Israfel, the Simurgh, The hope killer, and the 3rd endbringer, peeks out from behind her wings, Her eyes widening, very visibly in shock.
The reason for it is one that her Precognition, one of her more terrifying aspects, has just...stopped.
{Fear, Uncertainty, Blind}, she thinks, for the path, has stopped, The future is not straight, and something is changing, something she did not, and could not foresee.
One odd thing, she notes, is the Radio waves that are focused almost right on top of her, if not slightly to the side, and with a start, does she feel reality tearing behind her
Turning around, she spots the new tear in reality itself, and the Entity within.
A thousand eyes, and an endless expanse of flesh, and extra dimensions that boggle even her mind, lay within, as it reaches out, whole chunks of mass and matter consumed straight from asteroids being subsumed to make a physical body, Dimensions distorting in an almost nauseating way.
The resulting creation of physics-breaking mass is not humanoid in any way, and still forming, not completely done taking shape, and in a second of abrupt motion, it's maybe a few inches away from her face.
Scrambling away in fright and terror, she falls out of orbit, screaming in fear all the way.

Contessa blinked in shock.
The path is....perhaps 'Blank' is one of the best ways to put it.
"Path to Alexandria" she mutters under her breath, as several mental alarms seem to ring inside her head, screaming that something is not right.
3 steps to get to Alexandria, as far as she knows, she is in her office. "Path to eliminate threats to cauldron." She mutters.
276 steps, and then it...blurs...and becomes blank.
"Path to eliminate unknown threats to cauldron."
Her eyes widen in disbelief, and she stands up, with great alarm.
45 steps, and then it cuts off like a yawning, unending abyss simply replaced whatever was on the path.
She had to report this, immediately.

New York was still pretty busy, naturally, even being so close to Night.
No wonder then did the tired people never notice the massive monstrosity, bigger than perhaps even behemoth, scale buildings, and weave its way past them and traffic.
None could see it, as its space-warping capabilities allowed it to easily hide from sight, as it passed into Boston proper, heading towards Brockton bay.
It- no, he needed to at least see who managed to talk to him, it could be interesting at the least.

Shaking her head, Taylor looks at her radio, after it seemingly had shorted out after the rather...interesting sound that came out of it.
Her ears were still ringing, she reflected on what had specifically just happened after finding that odd signal, and making a connection.
'her radio-tech thing screeched out static, and became hot to the touch for a second, as she managed to get a foot-hold on whatever that weird signal was, off to the horizon.
after a few moments, the static died down, and the unknown Transmission signal seemed stable enough to try to listen into it....to no avail.
after a minute of silence, she went inside and trapped the microphone for occasions just like this.
hooking it up, she attempted to see if there would be a response.

she covered her ears, wincing in pain at the sudden headache, and the deafness, as the radio shakes, and the speaker pops, as the wires and circuits overheat from the strain.
Taylor watches, temporarily deaf and now suffering a painful headache, as her poor little radio starts to smoke...'
'god fucking dammit, I got this working, and it just self-destructs? And damn this headache!' Taylor angrily screams, when either it's in her head it not, there's a pretty damn good chance she won't know anyway.
'thank God that dad's currently working a late shift....' she thinks, relieved she won't have to explain all the noise...
her eyes then widen in absolute horror ' but how the hell am I gonna explain why I can't hear him?'
with an unheard groan of exhaustion, she stumbles back towards her house, turning off the generator on the way, she heads up the stairs and lays down in her bed.
After a few moments, does she lets sleep claim her.

"See you later dad."
"See you later, my little owl" Danny said, as he hugged her, before heading off to work.
She listened as she could her their old family truck startup, and drive away. Smiling slightly, does she grab her computer, and opens it up.
'Well, that was scary...' she thought, as after warming up, she realized her hearing was still a bit miffed up, but nothing she couldn't talk off as being tired and groggy.
Deciding on what to do, she thought that she could maybe head onto PHO, and see if there was anything new going on.
Just before she could click, however, was she rudely interrupted by someone knocking on the front door.
"Coming!" She yells out, standing up, and peeking out through the blinds.
It's a Rather tall man, Dark brown hair, and maybe slightly ragged clothes.
A black hoodie with silver stripes is one of the things that catches her eyes, as does the jeans. If it's a cape, she should not have too much to fear, since he's in casual wear.
But why her house specifically, and why the bandages around his eyes?
She breathes in, and walks up towards the door. 'just a creepy dude, with bandages around his eyes, nothing important, he's just lost....'.
she narrows her eyes and decides to open the door.
"Uh..hello?" She asks meekly, a tinge of nervousness entering her voice.
The man, in all of his height, and slight imposing intimidation through height, turns his face towards her.
"Hello! Were you the one to attempt to contact me through radio last night? I'm curious!" He exclaims, before giving her a smile, one that is most certainly not human.
"I'm just kinda curious how you pulled it off, do be honest." He states as he stretches his hand out.
"Plus, I can kinda tell it came from this house, so if your not the one who did it, I'm at least curious if you know who?"
Taylor gulped.
