[X] you're an expert when it comes Wyvern to but how much do you know about other magical creatures
[X] Why are you looking for this job?
[X] Do you have teaching experience?
[X] What measures do you intend to take for the safety of students?
[X] Theory or practice - what do you think is more important for students?
--------------------------------------------------------------
"First off, Ms Halvorson do you have any experience with magical creatures besides Wyverns?"
"Ya! My family's specialty is Wyverns but we do all sorts. We keep and raise cù-sìth's and even one ahuizotl to help keep the Wyv's in line. We also act as a bit of a rescue on the side so I've got experience Pegasus's, Hippogriffs, even a few Jackalopes!"
"Alright, that's good to here. So, why are you looking for this job?"
"Well my brother just got married and already given me a nephew and my papa got it into his head that I should do what he did and spend a few years working abroad, find meet new people and expand myself and all that, and a new job working with Mystic beasties seemed like a good start."
"Alright, do you have any teaching experience?"
"Oh ya, I've helped train up lots of the farm hands my family's hired for extra help!"
"And what will you do to ensure the students saftey?"
"Well I'm pretty confident I can wrestle down mundane or otherwise any beasties that give the kiddies trouble. And I intend full well to teach them the same. Don't let my bumps and scrapes fool you! Long as the thing getting snaped at ain't me I can keep everyone plenty safe!"
"Fair enough. And in your opinion, theory or practice? What's more important?"
"Well, papa always said practice makes perfect!"
You nod.
"Ok, well I'll contact you in you get the job."
You shake hands again and she's off.

Next candidate was Madame Victoria Rose. Retired proprietor of Europe's largest mystical menagerie and animal sanctuary.
She walks in wearing a elaborate black dress. Her silver hair tied into a bun. Her wrinkled face kept in a tight professional frown.
"Headmaster."
"Hello Madame, please take a seat."

[X] so what beasts do you train?
[X] Do you have teaching experience?
[X] What measures do you intend to take for the safety of students?
[X] What qualities do you want to see in your students?
-------‐-----------------------------------------
"First off, what kinds of magical beasts do you have experience with?"
"I have dealt with and overseen the raising and care of a myriad of mystic creatures from Unicorns to Sasquatch."
"Very good, do you have any teaching experience?"
She frowned.
"I'm afraid not much besides correcting my workers when they make a mistake. Still. I believe I've done enough research to be able to handle myself."
"I see, and what measures will you take for student saftey?"
"All proper precautions, I assure you."
"And what qualities do you want to see in your students?"
"Obedience and discipline. It is in my personal experience from my own education that a students duty is to listen and do as told by there instructors. Yes I'm aware that not all of the children will be as well behaved as I was at that age, my own old classmates were proof of that, still I believe with the proper discipline I can change this."
"Very well, thank you for coming, I'll contact you if you get the job."
And with that the Madame leaves.

Which to hire?
[ ]Joan Halvorson
+Has been dealing with animals all her life.
×Not much formal classroom experience.
[ ] Madame Victoria Rose
+Very experienced and educated in magical creatures.
×Incredibly traditional and by the book Possibley to a fault.

Now for the final position. A Potions and chemicals teacher, two more candidates.
First? Olga Splinterina. A self proclaimed 'witch activist' who's made a name for herself trying to keep stereotypical witch culture alive, including but not limited to as you see her walk in-
-A long pointy hat and black dress, skin magically deyed green, a distinctive wart.
...and appearantly a not inconsiderable amount of knowledge on potions.
"Hehehehe! A pleasure deary!"
She declares as you shake hands.

[X] Do you have any prior teaching experience?
[X] Theory or practice - what do you think is more important for students?
[X] How much knowledge do you have of potions?
[X] Why do you want this job?
[X] Children can be cruel, how will you deal with those who make fun of you?
[X] Do you specialize in a particular kind of potion?
[X] Is it your goal to keep only the European idea of witches, or do you want to explore local traditions as well?
[X] Since we're in Japan, how do you feel about Magical Girls?
---------------------------------------------------
"So, do you possess any former teaching experience?"
"Why yes! I lead a small coven where I acted as a leader and instructor."
You nod "Ok. Theory or practice? Which do you think is more important for students?"
She rubbed her chin and gave a light hum.
"I suppose Theory, at least with potions you tend to need to have a stronger understanding of the ingredients and why adding them does what they do is a necessity."
"Alright and how much knowledge would you say you have of potions?"
"I got top marks in the subject in my own school days and I've read up and studied a fair bit further."
"And why do you want this job?"
"To spread the culture to the next generation of course! People are too often caught up in that 'not being stereotypical' nonsense! Teaching a class in an old a noble witch art form is a bonus."
"Aha, ok. And if any students were to mock you for your appearance or beliefs? Children can be quite cruel."
Olga let out a snort
"Then I'll discipline them as is appropriate for a teacher."
"Alright, and do you specialize in a particular type or sub-set of potion?"
"I'm a Generalist of sorts in that regard."
"And are you only interested in the archetypal European witch are do you intend to explore local traditions?"
She shrugged "To my knowledge the local scene has enough traditionalists. My fight already has my hands full."
"Very well. And finally, since we're in Japan, how do you feel about Magical Girls?"
Olga actually blushes lighty and looks away
"I maaay have had a mundane freind when I was younger who introduced me to the genre. B-but that's all! I've definitely not stayed informed on it at all!"
You put up your hands reassuringly
"Alright alright. I'll contact you if your chosen.
And with that she walks out.

Next candidate was appearantly a traveling healer, a Dr Black.
The she walked into your office clad in a full black leather plague doctor outfit.
"Greetings"

[X] What, in your opinion, makes you the right candidate for this position?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Hello, first things first. What is, if there is one, the specific reason for your...appearance?"
"This world is filthy. These garments protect me well."
"Ah, alright I suppose. Well let's get to an actual interview question. What qualities would you most value in a student?"
"The ability to sit still and listen." She replies dryly.
"Heh, fair enough. And how familiar are you with potions and chemicals outside of your speciality?"
"If it can affect a human body in a positive or negative way, I'm confident I'm aware of how to use it. I'm aware of what most consider more...versatile, concoctions."
"Ok. And do you have any prior teaching experience?"
"I have taken a number of apprentices in my travels."
"Theory or Practice. Which is more important for students in your book?"
"While understanding the theory is important, there are some things that can only be discovered looking over the rotting flesh of a cursed still living man. Just as an example."
"Interesting. So why do you want this job?"
"As I said, this world is filthy. Diseased even. I thought traveling a treating individually would help but it has only slowed at the best of times. I believe a wider number of apprentices could aid my pursuit."
"And what in your opinion makes you right for this position in particular?"
"I have vast knowledge and experience in the field and you would not need to hire a dedicated school healer as I would be on hand."
You nod "Makes sense I suppose. Very well. I'll contact you to let you know if you get the position doctor."
And with that she exits.

Which to hire?
[ ]Olga Splinterina
+Does have a solid resume and skills
×appears to be more politically motivated than anything else
[ ]Dr Black
+Incredible knowledge of medicine makes her rather useful
× Seemingly extreme germaphobia and odd world view could lead to conflict

And with that the teaching staff was just about done. But there was another idea that hut you.
You could hire on Arthur Blaze and/or Calamitos as normal teachers. Neither seemed dead set on the vice headmaster title in particular.
...though the budget will be tight for hiring the two on. You can potentially counteract this by simply not hiring certain none teaching staff positions and leaving them to the golems, the job will be done less effectively but they work for free.
Craftlove already volunteered to handle running the school library so that leaves a few positions...

Who to hire?
[ ]Arthur Blaze as a specialized combat/self defense teacher
[ ]Calamitos as a Necromancy teacher

With that you have just two more positions to fill. First and most important?
School nurse.
While most Magic users learn some healing, an actual specialist in the field would be important.
Luckily a quick call with Dr Black and she's confirmed that even if she doesn't get to teach she is still willing to work here as a dedicated healer.
And so that left you with hiring a dedicated school cook. While yes it was possible to a degree to simply conjure up or transform edible food, it's widely agreed that it's another thing entirely to make it actually tast good.
Luckily you only have one applicant this time.
One Chiye Hayashi, combination professional cook and monster Hunter.
She walked through the door wearing a sleeveless black shirt and pants. Her black hair was pulled up into a neat bun. Her skin was tan and her arms were quite muscular to say the least.
"Hiya!"
"Hello, as your the only candidate this interview is mostly a formality but I still feel I should ask-"

[X] Why are you looking for this position?
[X] What kind of food do you like to eat and cook?
[X] Meat or vegetables?
[X] What has been your most exciting battle so far?
---------------------------------------------------------
"Why do you want this position?"
"To be honest? I missed cooking for groups."
"How so?"
"I come from a big family and grew up helping prepare meals for all my siblings. But they're all adults themselves now and don't need their big sister making almost every meal for them. I tried the traveling cook thing for a bit but it just didn't scratch that itch. I'm a provider, ya know?"
"Fair enough, what kinds of food do you enjoy cooking?"
"Well varieties the spice of life so I love to mix things up and try new recipes but I've always had a soft spot for seafood."
"Ok now meat or vegetables?"
"Trick question! Ya need both!" She called with a confident grin.
"Hehe, fair enough. So what's been your most exciting hunt so far?"
"Hmm" Chiye seemed to actually need to think about this for a moment before answering.
"Probably the time I tangled with a baby kraken. The momma had been driven off from attacking my home by pro monster hunters but they apparently missed an egg and it hatched and started causing trouble. So me and my Dad stepped up to take it down. I was still young at the time so there were alot of close calls but we ate well that night!"
"Riveting. Alright then, all things considered your qualified and the only applicant so welcome om board!"
You shake Chiye's hand....and try not to wince at her grip strength.

Today was the day. Grand opening, a bunch of first year students are sitting in the mess hall awaiting the beginning of orientation.
Now how should you do this?
----------------------------------------------------------------
[ ] Formal: Traditional robes and general serious decorum.
[ ] Casual: Simple walking around clothes not so different from some students and to the point attitude.
[ ] Bombastic: Bright colors and spectacle in entrance.
if a theoretical reference image for the character could be provided that would it would be appreciated.

You step out onto a raised stone stage clad in a bright pink Magicians outfit top hat and all.
You wave your hands and create visions of fireworks bright and clear spelling out-
Welcome to Ignis Fatuus Lyceum of Natural and Unnatural Arts!
"Greetings students! I'm headmaster Henrietta Young, for the next several years you shall be learning under my fine staff to enter the adult world of the mystic tip top shape!"
After the light applause dies down you continue
"Now it won't be easy, but I have faith in you all to be great! Now then-"
After a few smaller fireworks illusions you continue
"I'll hand things over to my vice headmaster Madame Akari who will give our fine staff formal introductions and explain things like your likely schedules and our fine establishments academic expectations. Take it away!"
She walks up and gives you a unimpressed look as you proceed to saunter down to the table at the head of the room for staff and taking your seat.
"So, what did you all think?" You ask in a whisper.
Olga gave an approving nod "I appreciate the theatrics though I would have obviously done the themeing a bit differently."
Star Beard smirked with a twinkle in his eyes "Indeed, I can think of none more appropriate a welcome"
Ming Xu snorted "I can think of a few."
Craftlove nodded "It was what it was."
"Ah, your just spoil sports, I think it was great boss!" Joan grind at you.
I found it serviceable. Calamitos says simply.
"And I'd like to find out why it's-"
Dr Black gestures to Calamitos
"Here at all."
You sigh "we've been over this doctor, Calamitos is a skilled magic user and thus a natural fit for a teaching position."
"It is rot and decay walking."
I am also right here. If thy have a issue with mineself thy can address me directly.
"That's enough you two." Madame Akari says in an exasperated tone as she returns to the table.
"Let's all just try to enjoy the food."
You nod "Thank you, yes let's."
And with that those at the table who required sustenance dug in.
