Red - West Cortondo Province
Violet - East Cortondo Province
Looking at the Pokemon that interest me in the area, according to the games, there may be more that show up but we don't know enough to fully predict that.

East is more cliffy and stony with farms, West is more natury and (somewhat-)untamed. Picking out the Pokemon I liked best from the list...

Mareep - East
Fletchling (I guess, this barely makes the cut) - West
Rockruff - East, with chances of West
Makuhita - Either or
Diglett -Either or, but probably West
Eevee - Either or, but probably East
Tinkatink - I don't remember the exact location, but I'd guess East as the likeliest.

I'll give Magikarp an honourable mention. Gyarados is cool, but I'm not sure we're willing to dedicate the time necessary for one, we'd probably need quite a few bond points to ensure there aren't any rampages.

I think I speak for quite a few of us that if I see a Tinkatink, I'm gonna immediately vote to catch it. I do have some fancy ideas with electricity for Mareep, Makuhita could be the tank we need and the fighting type to match our Andosin pride, and Rockruff plus its evolutions are just straight up cool... but they all pale in comparison to Fuck It, We Gigaton Hammer. Or whatever cool gigaton weapon we'd end up giving them. Our Skarmory Knife could make a kick-ass base for some sort of buster sword or katana (bonding with Elise?).

Or Gunblade.

Plus, Fairy/Steel is just such a great type combination, given to one of the best designed and most popular Pokemon in Gen 9. Plus it might open up the path to Dame Mariana if we ever feel like becoming a knight. (on top of all our other obligations)

Edit: A reminder that a vote for Plan Montage means a vote for focusing more on our new adoptee and our crushes in terms of bond points quicker. Talk to Manuel and eventually Jacinto now, get to Bond 1 with our entire class quicker.

If we get a tinkatink personally interested in giving her teh skarmory dagger as a tip ofthe spear and doing like a spear and shield for her, I think itd be neat

I really don't get the fascination with getting a Tinkatink or becoming a knight. The empire seems rather shitty from what we've seen of it and its elites look down on us for being Andosin. Yeah, Mariana is very gay for the lady knights, but aside from that there's very little draw for me to dedicate ourselves to upholding the empire.

Getting a Tinkatink doesn't have to mean we become a knight. Personally I'd be fine with just the former, I think it'd go well with our family weapon.

I figure if we can make it detachable, then said Pokémon could use their weapon as a quarterstaff in league fights and as a spear in other ones.

[X] Plan: You're Gonna Need A Montage (Montage!)

Time for a montage!

Pure spear and teach her to jump like a Final Fantasy Dragoon.

"We're flying dragons and the Fairy types are on the ground. We're safe here. A Tinkaton isn't going to- Oh god what is that?!"

I doubt they'd uphold the Empire. At least, not after a point. Francesca's Trails inspiration is a legitimately good person who's too loyal to her mother figure on the villain's side but still defects over to the good guys before the end.

Depending on how much of her backstory remains true (raised by Ogerpon?), she could just stick to her ideals from the start in the face of any Imperial evil. Especially if she had a new Squire to call her out if she does falter!

And in general, we have the Prowess. Might as well work it.

God I'm late to the vote. Started playing Trails in the Sky this weekend and forgot that I hadn't voted yet lol

Also Tinkaton Knights aesthetically kinda fuck hard. Becoming a knight just seems cool and wouldn't be the worst idea in character prospectively, shes gonna need some way to pay her debts and Order of Verne is a very respectable post-graduation position, doubt this order would survive first contact with the plot but would be a cool character plot hook I think, would make it more interesting. Duty vs Doing good is a fun plothook and we might rope in some knights when plot shit goes down

I think getting a Tinkatink is a great idea. A small pink creature with a giant, they're kinda perfect. I'm not sure giving one the dagger is a good idea though on account of it being the Gonzorig Family Dagger. Just using it without asking feels out of character for Mariana. There might also be fairy rules going on where they can't accept gifts to make their weapons or something along those lines. I also just have some questions about the line, mostly if they can make more than one weapon. Although I'd imagine there would be a lot of logistical issues to consider with that, I'm pretty sure the floor of Mariana's dorm can't handle too many 200+ pound hunks of metal lying around.

In terms of Andosin pride stuff, the funniest option would be to get a Salamence and a Kommo-o. A tall, anxious teenager with three dragons willing to raze villages for her is inherently funny.

A teenager going "oh this person is really cool, I want to be like this cool person" without thinking any more deeply about it at first is about as on-brand a thought process as one can get. I see it as less of a 'becoming a knight' and more of an emulation thing, if that makes sense. I doubt becoming an actual Knight is reasonably on the table for us, for several reasons, but it's a nice ideal regardless. Also, the Tinkaton line is a kind of physical anchor that our team doesn't really have, so it wouldn't be a terrible pickup from a team perspective either.

A Tinkaton with a collection...

The Corviknight population would never recover.

And in the middle of them all, a kitten.

The most dangerous of the group.

Well it's a physical anchor so long as the quest ignores things like "This Pokémon with a gigantic metal hammer has 75 base attack".

I just... Don't understand it. These things hunt Corviknight? They can't even scratch a Corviknight!

The QM has confirmed that the dagger is a viable material for a hypothetical Tinkatink to use for their weapon.
And as far as our family goes Mariana was explicitly given the weapon for her to do with what she wanted, with her Mother doubling down on that point when she tried to give it back due to her insecurities. If we were giving it to some wild Pokémon that'd be one thing, but one of our team would be a perfectly viable choice.

Mariana getting a Salamance is amusing to me, because she's one of the few people in the world who regularly sees one beaten up by a Dodrio. So while the rest of the world sees this powerful, epic, dragon, Mariana sees the Salamance line as bit of a chump who are good for flying around and remind her of home.

I want one for Mariana, but one from Andosin Highlands. So that means not until our 5th or 6th Pokemon whenever we go back home for Summer (or will we go back for Winter holidays? A 2-day journey home isn't that bad if we have enough time off)

ah yes, my favorite little bit of SV lore. despite the pokedex saying
This intelligent Pokémon has a very daring disposition. It knocks rocks into the sky with its hammer, aiming for flying Corviknight.
there's nothing that actually says they're successful at taking out Corviknight, with Corv's dex entry being the closest thing to confirmation and even that's a bit unclear
Corviknight can't serve as a taxi service in Paldea because the Pokémon's natural predators will attack it while it flies, endangering the customer.
though 'Natural Predators' is rather vague as to what mon it's talking about, and the reason they aren't used as taxis in Paldea is clearly the danger to the customer and not the Corviknight itself.

My headcanon has been that Tinkaton has a signature move that's really good against Corviknight, but you don't see it in gameplay because its banned in official battles for being too deadly.
