Gimmighoul is our desire to have more money. Not because we are greedy, but because we are poor. :V

I really really want that Teddiursa.

Still, if we end up going for the lamps instead of the woods, I think we should take Pawniard out of the running since Theadora is getting her hands on one probably.

@ArvisPresley just to confirm we can start the Gym process on Wednesday to then battle Leader Katy on Friday?

Though I just realised that if we spend one action on an Optional Task and one on searching for a third pokemon, if we don't spend the third on starting the Gym we're forced to either go shopping again or searching for a fourth pokemon. Unless we're meant to just treat them like Bond up actions.
EDIT;
Actually that's an idea. Start the gym process next turn, and this turn we do both the Heights and the Ruins so we can compare Nacli, Pawniard, Tinkatink and Charcadet to see which people like best?

[] Day One Optional Task: How Many Students to Change a Lightbulb?:
  • Increase Bond with Theodora
  • Pokemon Choices unlocked via Mandatory and Optional Tasks during the Field Exercise: Pawniard and Tinkatink
[] Going into Tall Grass (Badajoz Heights):
  • Increase Bond with Theodora
  • Currently Available Pokemon Choices: Nacli, Aron and Drilbur
  • Pokemon Choices unlocked via Mandatory and Optional Tasks during the Field Exercise: Pawniard and Tinkatink
[] Going into Tall Grass (Badajoz Ruins):
  • Increase Bond with Elise and Theodora
  • Currently Available Pokemon Choices: Yamask, Woobat and Charcadet

Tinkatink could be our weird image. Cute lil bean who hunts and eats pokemon.
We're a big girl (who's actually a softy) with tiny Pokémon (who are actually terrifying), which is a nice reversal of the Tinkaline's small stature (but is actually terrifying) and big weapons, eventually (which are...okay they're still terrifying because a Tinktaton is holding them).

"Thish ish ghreat, Mhary!" Ostia says with a mouthful. You rub some of the food on their lip with a napkin. Talking with their mouth full is becoming a habit of theirs.
At least wait until the second sentence of the chapter before you start mothering them!

While you're enjoying your share, you wonder what a pie made from Applin would taste like. If you recall correctly, they can regrow parts of their apple pretty easily. Hopefully you'll be able to find out during the Field Exercise.
The Andosin urge to feast upon dragon flesh. Don't tell Ostia.

Cortondo's Gym Test is a cross between a scavenger hunt and a cooking competition. Challengers are tasked with finding berries and Pokemon ingredients throughout the forest, after gathering them they are to cook a meal for themselves and their Pokemon. All while being harassed by "Wild Pokemon." Who are in actuality Gym Trainers with their own Pokemon tasked with hindering the challengers.
Excuse me? Where are my giant inflatable olives?

Changing the Gym tests to actually sensible things that test something important on the prospective trainer's parts? Screw that. I want a woman to demand I put on a selection of exaggerated emotions for no discernable Pokémon related reason.

"We went searching, but the Pokemon Theodora was looking for was nowhere to be found. Which is surprising, the locals said Pawniards were pretty common around the Heights. I wonder what happened." Elise responds, wondering out loud.
Ooh, if when we get a Tinkatink we could have two former enemies in the class Pokémon squad from the warring Tinkatink guild and Pawniard Battalion. Spicy. Love it.

Plus, if we're restricted from getting Tinkatink until the optional task is done, the same is probably true for Theodora. So not changing this lightbulb denies her her Pawniard. Are you so cruel is to get between a girl and her dream team?

Karen would be disappointed if we didn't help a trainer use the Pokémon they like the best.

[] Day One Optional Task: How Many Students to Change a Lightbulb?: Route Lamps are a big part of human infrastructure out in the routes. Something about how certain light frequencies only achievable via orbal technology can keep away most Wild Pokemon. While they do nothing to actually deter a truly dedicated Pokemon or a ranged attack, they still dot the paths and rails of the region.

The rare metals that often make up the Route Lamps make them juicy targets for certain Steel Type Pokemon. -1 AP
  • MAJOR BATTLE. Defeat will accomplish the Task but will apply Wound and Status Ailments to battling Pokemon. Defeat will still unlock Encounters
  • Group 1 will battle multiple Pokemon that have set up near the Route Lamp.
  • Rewards: 10,000 Pokedollars, 4 Pokemon Materials, 400 Poke XP
  • Unlocks Heights Encounters (Pawniard and Tinkatink)
  • Is mutually exclusive with: The Lost Woods
And she's right there alongside changing a lightbulb. It's perfect. Common Tinkatink lobby W.

Tinkatink could be our weird image. Cute lil bean who hunts and eats pokemon.
Pink and soft and violent.

Speaking of terrifying weapons, it's confirmed that Tinkatink/Tuff/Ton's weapon is going to be variable. She could have a spear or whatever we push her towards making. But what would that do to Gigaton Hammer? Just switch out the second word for Gigaton Whatever? Or will our choice have a big effect on the move?

Hnds clenched towards the sky crying I'm still really in teh Teddiursa gang but the LAMPS! my lamps! this update was a delight though I loved it. are the shopping plan votes and the actual plan voes gonna be sperate votes? personally leaning towards these
[] Plan: Cash Dump (Shopping)
-[] Potion Pack x2 (-6000 Pokedollars)
-[] Full Heal Pack (-10000 Pokedollars)
-[] Mishy Doll (-8000 Pokedollars)
-[] Aviator Goggles (-8000 Pokedollars)

[] Plan: Harmonica of Time
-[] Day One Optional Task: The Lost Woods
-[] Yo! Champ in the Makin'
-[] Going into Tall Grass (Badajoz Forest)
Personally I want to go for Cash Dump over the others as our tasks will recoup money for us and I wnt to try and avoid eating up AP in case we end up needing that second potion pack. I also like giving gifts to our buddies. I will say maybe for our last AP on friday we should pick up a protect TM, something to protect us in wild battles would be nice if that ens up being a concern(poachers targetting trainer, wild mon deciding that actually the squishy redhaired mom-friend is a much easier target than Mew two with cat ears)

I'm 80% sure we're not going to be able to use a TR on ourselves, but we also have the ability to just...stab a bitch if they escalate to personal attacks. Wild Pokémon under normal circumstances aren't going to target trainers unless we do something really stupid like go bother their eggs or cut off their antler or something.

I do think I'm gonna go for cash dump though.

Starting the gym process Tuesday and thus fighting the gym leader Thursday also leaves Friday open to any possible shenanigans that could pop up, like the Plot. I expect things to intensify over time.

And even if we have spare AP on Friday, it means we get to sleep off 1-2 wounds between the Gym Battle and the inevitable plot boss battle.

If we want to get something cuddly, I'm not interested in Teddiurse. It's cute but Ursaring isn't half as huggable. I'm holding out for Wooper.

Clodsire is just so friend shaped. Plus if he can land a poison on an opponent before going down (or even as he goes down if he has Poison Point) it would work great with Roland's hit and run strategy.

But mainly I just need more Clodsire. The UK Pokémon Centre site is sold out of the plushies. Both kinds. They need to make more. constantly. Everyone wants a Clodsire. Everyone should have a Clodsire. We would achieve world peace if everyone simply had a Clodsire to hug.

Maybe not entirely necessary, since Renne won't be injured by the Gym battle and she'd likely be the powerhouse of a plot battle. But still useful.

Relaying an idea:
Erika seems to be having a problem with catching a scyther... and Mariana also kind of wants to know how parts of an Applin tastes like

How about we catch two pokémon, and give Erika the Applin

Clodsire is just so friend shaped.
Do not cuddle the Clod, it's skin is covered in poison. Or do I'm not your boss.

Anyway I'm surprised no one has presented the TRUE Cold Steel plan!

[] Plan: Going for S-Rank!
-[] Day One Optional Task: How Many Students to Change a Lightbulb?
-[] Day One Optional Task: The Lost Woods
-[] Yo! Champ in the Makin'

Completionism Ahoy!

Pretty sure we can only do one optional task per day though

1) Not all Clodsire are Poison Point. Could be Water Absorb or Unaware.

2) I figure it's the spikes that are poisonous. The ability is Poison Point, after all. And those are the only pointy parts. Everything else is round and soft and friendly. And the spikes can be retracted,

3) If being poisoned is the price for cuddling a Clodsire then I will pay it gladly.

Was the list with which pokemon are found in which location threadmarked? Because I can't seem to find it rn
They're in the descriptions for the various options.

Badajoz Heights has Nacli, Aron and Drilbur with Pawniard and Tinkatink available after we change a lightbulb.

Badajoz Ruins has Yamask, Woobat and Charcadet with Gimmighoul and Bronzor available after... something? I don't think it's listed.

Cortondo Breadbasket is initially just Smoliv, but the task that makes Fidough and Combee available is mandatory. Applin and Fomantis are available after, again, something unspecified.

Badajoz Forest has Deerling, Pineco, Shroodle, with Teddiursa and Foongus avilable after we track down a drunk guy who got lost in the woods without his team.

Sure but the reason Paldean Wooper have Poison Point isn't just the spikes, which the Wooper lack, it's because they have a thin layer of poison on their skin, which presumably sticks around after becoming a Clodsire.
Paldean Wooper Scarlet Dex said:
After losing a territorial struggle, Wooper began living on land. The Pokémon changed over time, developing a poisonous film to protect its body.
Which is funny because (and I'm just now learning this) its the exact same with Johtoan Wooper
Wooper Scarlet/Violet Dexes said:
A transparent mucous membrane covers its body. Touching it bare-handed will cause a tingling numbness.
When it walks around on land, it coats its body with a slimy, poisonous film.
So I'm not exactly sure what the Paldean Wooper Dex means by it "changed over time" when they both have the poison on them? Guess Paldean Wooper just has a thicker coat or something~
