[X] Plan Pragmatic Team
-[X] Byako Wakatabi: A clanless boy whom his teachers noted to be "Silent but attentive". His test scores in the written are among the highest in the class and his practical scores in Taijutsu skills are noted to be good even for a Genin. Despite the lack of any Kekkei Genkai, he seems to be right up your alley.
-[X] Suijin Hozuki: A young boy from the Hozuki clan, he is noted to be a prodigy when it comes to Ninjutsu and chakra control, allowing him to use several jutsu in a row. However, his skills in other departments have been lacking according to the notes. He seems to be needing a lot of improvement in his skills.
-[X] Samuke Yuki: One of your first cousins who had just finished the academy. According to the notes, he is pretty average in combat, but was noted to be incredibly interested in the world of espionage. He is the only family member in this class, so it is natural that you would pick him, but you should be bias.

You stood in the hallway of the Kirigakure academy, a building that was very big in its size because it housed not only several classrooms, but also several large rooms for practical classes and fields that had more open space. You couldn't believe that this place was built within a time span long enough to have a class of children in it for almost 6 years.
You and the rest of the Jonin senseis had arrived to the academy by 7:50 AM sharp, just as you were instructed. Now it was around 8:24 AM, so you had waited for quite a while with four of your colleges that you didn't like waiting to just enter the class and take your students away for the first day. On the one hand, the wait was nearly unbearable. On the other hand, you were thinking about how you could upstage them all by training your Genin better than them. That was a nice thought to have.
Finally, after a long waiting period outside, you finally saw the door open as the Chunin instructor of the class opened the door to greet you and your colleges. Much like every other teacher in this building, he was a clanless shinobi who only reached the level of Chunin. Most of them ended that way because they simply started too late with no real foundations, while the clans had unknown amount of generational knowledge to build upon.
Well, sucks to be them, but it was the best most of them could do. You were hoping that thanks to the new academy system there would be more young talents who could prove themselves to be worthy of your respect. You certainly hoped that the clanless boy you decided to train would become an example of that.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting." the teacher spoke up apologetically as he gave you and the other Jonin a respecting bow. "I just finished informing them on the teams. All you have to do now is simply come into the class and pick them up." he told you as he then gave you all a piece of paper. "These papers are designated areas inside the village given to serve as your teams' training ground by Mizukage-dono. Please take your students there to perform your tests." he requested politely as he gave another bow.
"Excuse me," you heard a voice calling and looked to your right, seeing that the one speaking was Gato Michibane. "but what do you mean by tests? Haven't they passed the tests of the Academy?" he inquired from the sensei as you actually thought about it and raised an eyebrow in response before looking at the homeroom teacher for an explanation.
The man then rubbed the back of his head. "I... I'm shocked the Mizukage didn't tell you this. According to the system, after you take your Genin from the academy, you're supposed to do your own tests to judge their skills and see what they can do for yourselves. You can have whatever test you want, as long as killing or seriously harming them aren't a part of it." the man gave his explanation as you looked at him stoically and letting this information sink in.
"Tsk, of course we wouldn't know. That stupid Terumi woman that serves him probably forgot about it and caused him to forget about it as well. Those damn clan members, always forgetting where they belong." another Jonin almost whispered those words to himself, but you managed to notice that as your eyes moved to see that the sneer and snickering came from the Jonin of the Doi can.
Of course the fucking Doi clan would be a bunch of whiny assholes. They always brag about how their Kekkei Genkai is formed from the same elements as Wood Release, which means by their logic that they are the only people who can produce someone as strong as Hashirama Senju, and thus deserve to be treated as royalty. No wonder the Doi girl in that class was noted to be such a fucking brat with many members of that clan having an ego problem. Or it could just be their insecurities about being so insignificant compared to the legendary Senju clan that they even need to say those things in public.
But you don't care about whatever makes those stuck-up assholes sleep better at night. You care about other things right now.
You let your thoughts go to rest as you return your gaze to the instructor, who was giving the team numbers to the other Jonin. The numbers of this class' teams went from 1 to 5, and the number which was given to the team that you requested yesterday was 3.
You entered the room alongside the others and you stood there while the teacher went back to his podium and started telling each team to go with their sensei. When your team's number finally came up, you saw as three kids got up from their seats and walked towards you, with the only one you recognized was your cousin Samuke. When they got to were you stood, you silently and stoically gestured to them to follow you, as you looked several times at the paper that you were given just so that you would know where to take them.
Upon reaching the location, you saw that the place you were given as a training ground was one of the locations where it was planned to build a park in the future, but now it served as the place where you would train your students.
The place was good enough. It had many trees to use for whatever you needed them to be used, there was a large pond in there as well for when you would teach them water walking and had plenty of space to let them go wild with their training sessions. This place was as good as any to call a training grounds. Better than most places, actually.
As you sat down on a rock, you watched your three students as they sat in front of you on the ground.
Your cousin Samuke was a young boy with a face full of feminine features, very much like your uncle, to the point that it was probably easy for any other person to believe that he was a girl. But your clan was filled with pretty-boys, so the rest can just whine about it. He had big, blue right eye and a left black eye, as well as shoulder-length, raven-black hair that was braided, with said braids sliding on the front of his chest.
He wore a dark-blue Hanfu, much like yourself. It wasn't a big surprise though, because it was a signature clothing choice in the Yuki clan grounds. He was sitting on the ground with his legs crossed, but with a massive smile on his face and he was constantly moving a little because of how excited he was to probably be your students.
The young Hozuki boy, who was sitting on the grass with both legs extended and rising up one at a time, implying that he wasn't as patient as the other two or just more confident in himself to show less discipline than the other two. He had sharp teeth and chestnut-brown hair and red irises in his eyes. His cheekbones were long and his nose was a bit crooked.
He wore a red, baggy, silky long-shirt with a golden trim to it and a pair of baggy pants that was red of color with a golden trim as well.
And lastly the clanless boy, was sitting on the grass completely calm, in a very similar posture and temperament that you had, which got you curious. He had a short, spiky gray hair, thought it was so short that you, even with your perceptive eye, could barely notice all the small spikes of hair on his head. The only thing that was big from his hair were the long, spiky, gray bangs of hair that went down from both sides of his cheeks, framing his face.
You noticed that despite how calm and quiet he was in both terms of speaking and body language, his eyes were completely different than yours. Your blue eyes were sharp, small and cold, showing little emotion. His light brown eyes were big and inquisitive, though to others he may have seemed stoic. Of course, only someone perceptive like you would know that.
The shape of the boy's face was round and his nose was small, sharp and pointy and his expression seemed similar to yours with the exception of the eyes.
What he was wearing were dull clothes colored green with a bit of brown, holding tight to his frame. A long-sleeved shirt that was colored aqua-green with some brown lines on the sleeves themselves and a tight pair of pants colored the same way.
"Welcome to your new training grounds, Team 3." you started talking, barely showing any emotions in your tone. "This is were we will meet everyday at 8:00 AM sharp, so I hope that you memorized the way here." you told them as you decided to make this your team's permanent training spot. If anyone but the Mizuke doesn't like it, they can shove it.
You then gestured at yourself. "I am your Jonin-sensei, Susumu Yuki." you introduced yourself to the team officially and did so with the courteous manners that were drilled into your head as a child. "You will refer to me as Susumu-Sensei from now on until I deem you worthy enough to drop the "sensei" honorific." you told them as your voice was stoic and cold, not showing any emotions from it, simply speaking in a monotone straight and to the point.
At that point Samuke raised his hand. "But Susume-sama, wouldn't it be awkward if I call you sensei on clan grounds?" your cousin asked you, clearly perplexed.
You didn't even sigh or made anything to show how stupid you thought this question to be. "I do not believe so, Samuke. However, if it makes you feel more comfortable, you may refer to me as "Susumu-sama" only on our clan's grounds. Outside of that, I want you to always call me "Susumu-sensei". Do you understand?" you instructed the Yuki boy, though you didn't think you were too harsh with him. At least you hope so, since he really seemed excited to train under you.
Anyway, you decided to continue as you stood up and focused your gaze on all the three boys and continued speaking. "Despite having a member of my family on this team, I want you all to remember these words: I will have no favorites. You will know that I am harsh, but I am also fair. You all have to equal prove yourselves to me as a shinobi. I only care about results. Remember that." you said now more sternly than before as you slowed the pacing of your talking to emphasize and hammer know the importance of the words that you've just said to the three 12 year olds.
The boys nodded and looked like they were listening to your words carefully. Good. You sat down and continued on talking. "Now, before I test your skills, I want you to introduce yourselves. Tell me your names, what you like, what you dislike and what is your dream." you instructed them as you patiently with with not a lot of interest in your eyes. "You, Hozuki boy, let's start with you." you said as you looked with your emotionless stare at the boy.
The brat gave a pretty wide smirk before talking. "Starting with best, eh?" he asked and you could tell that he was only half-joking about that. Good, confidence never killed anyone, and he wasn't exactly wrong if it came to combat skills, only highly debatable.
He shrugged before continuing. "What can I say, really? The name Suijin Hozuki, a member of one of the small branch families of the Hozuki clan. Fourth son in the family. I like swimming and practicing on my Ninjutsu, I dislike people who can't help pull the weight and drag others down with them, and my dream is to become the Mizukage, much like how dad's cousin is the current Mizukage." the boy spoke, showing a lot of confidence in himself and spoke to you nonchalantly, not bothered by sharing the information at all.
You gave him a nod while keeping your stoic expression. "Very well. We will see how far I can push you." you told him as your glare changed from him to the clanless boy. "What about you?" you asked the boy with a seemingly emotionless monotone.
The boy's eyes widened slightly as he looked at you, pointed at himself and blinked several time. You gave him a nod as you wanted to sigh. He simply looked into your eyes and started talking. "My name is Byako Wakatabi. I am simply a kid, without a clan or anything to make me really important, but from what you said, I think you don't really care about where I come from as long as I can rise up to your expectations, as low as they are, right?" he started talking and you noticed how he was starting to analyze you by the surface-level meaning of your words, and attempting to go deeper.
He then continued. "The fact that you also have an order for each of us speak means that you do have a bias of sort, right, sensei?" he asked, which did take you aback a bit. Well, he wasn't wrong. "If you have Samuke speak last means that you either hate other clans and prefer your own clan, or the other way around. Which means you don't have a really positive or negative opinion on a clanless nobody like me. Am I wrong, sensei?" he inquired inquisitively in a bit of innocence in his voice.
In your mind he got your attention, but if he continued talking like this, he might come across to the others as innocently insensitive.
However, his eyes quickly widened slightly with concern as he seemed to mentally take a step back, so maybe he noticed it too. "I apologize, I shouldn't have asked that." he said before continuing. "I like the quiet. It lets me focus on the important things around me, I don't have to be distracted by noise. I don't like... talking." he said as his cheeks heated up. "If I ever begin talking, I get too caught up in it. I don't like the looks I get from other kids around me when I do." he said as he lowered his head. "My dream is to become a strong shinobi who would bring pride to the village." he said after raising his head to meet your eyes once more, this time with more determination.
So damn ordinary. Sure, he was pretty attentive, but surprisingly had some confidence issues. Not something you can't work work with. Maybe also try to help him become more ambitious.
You then gave the clanless boy a nod and looked over at your cousin, who's smile grew from one ear to another. "My name's Samuke Yuki, second son of the first branch family of the Yuki clan and twin of the first son." he said as showing that he was a ball of energy simply trying not to explode with excitement. "I like reading in the shade of the gardens of the Yuki clan compound. I dislike loud and egotistical people who think they are better than everyone else." he continued talking as you simply listened quietly. "And my dream is to become the greatest spy in the world." he said with a lot of pride in his voice as he looked at you without even blinking.
Espionage wasn't really your forte, but you knew that you could at least give him the basics and some instructions on how to become better enough.
You gave a nod to your cousin and stood up. "Alright. Now that we've got the introductions out of the way, I want to test your skills and see where you are at." you told them with the same deadpan, monotone that you talked with thus far, not changing your expression in any way.
In all honesty, you had to think of a test for your students on the way to the training grounds, but you had managed to be creative enough to come up with a test quick enough that you could accurately test what they are capable of right now.
What kind of test did you have in mind?
[ ] You would have them all fight you using every tool at their disposal.
-[ ] Write-In the details of your test. What are the win and lost conditions of the combat scenarios? Give as many details as possible.
[ ] You will have them test each other's mettle against one another by pitting them against one another in a series of small tests, testing their physical abilities, their combat skills and their noncombat skills.
-[ ] Write-In the details of each of the short tests. How are your going to have them test their skills?

Hey everyone. It has been a while, but this update was 3,000 words long, so it was a really hard one to write. it also included characterization for our students and giving a first impression of them.
When it comes to the tests, I want you guys to bring forth your imagination to think of how you want to test your students, rather than me coming up with something bland.
Until next update, stay safe, stay healthy and have a great day.[/hr]
