You even wonder what it would be like if the pokemon gods weren't just plot devices? I did too!

The gods of pokemon are trying to rid themselves of the aftermath of an evil cult that was "defeated" ten years prior.

But the cult was in hiding, silently taking over huge corporations and hunting legendaries. And Dom gains the power to be able to have a chance to stop this from progressing further and save the world from itself.

This story is heavily inspired from my own life, plus songs I love.
For Whom The Bell Tolls
It's said after the fall of Legendary Pokemon the world fell into a dark state.

Crime increased, ancient places being dismantled and deforested. The climate has started to heat up in the cold, and become cold in the warm.

History wiped and overwritten

History is written by the victors

"Kid, I can't hand this badge to you unless I'm able to at least see your face." Roark stated with a hint of uncertainty as the clanging of pickaxes filled the gym's surroundings.

The battlefield is filled with the stench of mud and grass as Roark called back his defeated Cranidos and slowly made his way through the messy battlefield.

I thought about just peeling off my mask and just risking the punishment of being caught. But who knows how badly it would go, especially if my Abra wasn't able to use teleport fast enough and I got caught after all these years.

"Hey, your Cranidos still has some fight."

"What? I thought I…" Roark turned around to observe his supposedly upright Cranidos.

I inched closer to his back and gently took one of his prized Coal badges that I rightfully earned. But the small hook on the badge got caught on his pants. I quickly tugged on it to quickly release it but instead

RRRRRRIP

Roark's cheap mining pants gave out under the weak hooks sharpness causing a dozen badges to spill out into my hand.

"Hey! Hey! The hell are you doing man?" He turned around with a slight scowl on his face, seeing all his badges in my hands.

"Shit! Abra, hurry!" I called out into the air as I shoved them into my bag and quickly backed up, turning around into a sprint.

I tried to run out the main door but 2 guards blocked my path with huge burly bodies. but before they could grab me they both witness me suddenly blip out of existence in thin air.

"Wha-" the 2 guards stumble and faceplant onto the ground as a third guard ran in to call for backup.

"We got a thief near the oreburgh gym and I just saw the kid teleport out of here. Get all officers on this!"

I wasn't too worried about the guards, I've had a ton of run-ins with the law before this. But this time they got every officer? Yeah I had to get the hell away from this place.

As soon as Abra took me to my forest camp I took off my shirt and pants and threw them on a tree trunk above me. Secondly, I struggled with my backpack zipper, got some spare clothes, and threw on a new outfit.

I knew I was probably overreacting, changing my clothes and pretty much my whole identity again. But… I wanted to be safe while I sold these badges as I made my way across the region. And maybe I could have enough money for a new poketch or something. And if I somehow became champion while collecting more badges along the way, I could beat the elite four and finally be safe. For the first time in years I would be safe.

Then a few months passed. I finally managed to talk to some guy in Solaceon Town who could hook me up with a fake ID, so I could get badges without showing my actual face. I've made lots of money selling those badges, I can get away with selling 1 or 2 badges each area I go. More than that and somebody would be alerted for sure.

As soon as I walked out from the market, testing my new ID to see if I could get some booze or something, a woman suddenly ran up to me.

"You're him!" She shouted as gripped my free arm.

I froze. When's the last time anybody grabbed my arm like this? Was I about to be arrested? Before I could contemplate my apparent fate she shoved a picture of a little girl in my face. She looked to be around 5-6 years old, and had a graphic T-shirt of an Umbreon on a black background.

"Yeah, um… cute kid?" I responded in pure awkwardness as everyone in and outside the market stared at the both of us. I wasn't really too keen on this much attention, especially since my pokemon were still healing in the center so I had zero way to escape.

"You're one of those popular trainers, right? You'll go into the ruins right?" She hurriedly insisted on me going to those ruins, how did her kid even make it in there?

I knew my way around ruins like this, my parents were archeologists who dragged me around every ancient looking place around. this place wasn't different… It has tons of alternate paths that lead either nowhere or endlessly deeper.

My mind raced with several different different possible outcomes for the child. But she probably wasn't harmed, since there's only Unknown in those ruins.

"I will embrace the feeling…" my head repeated that familiar sentence. My breath hitched for a moment before I responded with a plainly said.

"Yeah, I got you."

I turned around and took a few steps back to space myself from the woman.

I knew I would probably regret agreeing, but it would be pretty bad for my already mysterious image if I didn't try to help.

I reached for my waist but my hand waved through thin air. My pokemon were still healing in the center, why didn't I just use potions to heal them?

I turned to the women trying to hide the fact I probably just embarrassed myself in front of a whole market.

"...What kinda Pokemon do you have on you?"

"A Skitty…"

"Goddamnit"

I made my way west of the town and hopped down a few slopes. The way wasn't too treacherous, as long as I didn't overuse my repels I could just get in and get out.

I arrived in the cave, nearly slipping and falling down the stairs due to them being soaked… wait, why?

I steeled my gaze upon multiple cut, dented, obliterated Unknowns. My steps wavered between limp and stiff as I took in the absolute horror that was in front of me.

My eyes shot away from the scene as I heard sniffling coming from further down the long stretch of hallway.

My breath wavered, this was either the kid I came here for or just my mind playing tricks on me. I wasn't going to leave a kid here because of my weak mind, so I stepped forward.

"Whatever did this is gone."

I proceeded to walk forward, making sure to not step on any poor Unknowns. It was getting darker and grimier as I went in, the moist walls dripping with mold and algae.

I was never the most fearless person, far from it really. I spent the first part of my journey sneaking around trainers so I didn't have to fight them. And then I proceeded to be confused when a stronger foe beat me.

But I've improved now, right?

I turned around and began to run, nearly slipping on the wet algae covering the floors. My thoughts ran wild, I've been here before. It's not safe, this place is where dad-

BAM!!

My face rammed into a rough and hard surface and my body collapsed onto the ground. I let the pain settle in my body for a moment before looking to see a huge bulky monster above me.

It probably belonged to somebody, right? I didn't have much of a chance to think about it before a feminine voice spoke out near me.

"Well, you're not her… who are you exactly?"

The Garchomp moved over from me and another figure entered my field of view.

"C-Cynthia?" I quickly got up off of my ass and dusted myself off, unaware my mask was in pieces on the floor below me.

"You're that trainer that's gotten 6 badges at an astounding speed, correct?" Cynthia asked in a quizzical tone.

I put my hand behind my head to feel for any bleeding. There wasn't any, but I did brush off a bunch of dirt.

"Yeah…yeah I have." I re-adjusted my pants before I continued to say "that kid is still in there, and I tried going in with no pokemon."

"Hmmm… well yeah I see why you ran out." The Garchomp goes into the ruins to find the girl in an impressive display of intelligence.

Cynthia whipped out her top of the line poketch and went to the sonar app. She walked into the cave with her Garchomp but they both stopped almost instantly when they saw the Unknown on the floor.

"Is…this team Galactic? I would've thought unknowns would be beneficial to them." Cynthia spoke into her poketch, seemingly recording what she's finding.

I watched from the entrance as the footsteps became more and more faint, Eventually just becoming fully silent.

-ON TOP OF SPEAR PILLAR-

A horrific storm started to brew as I gazed up the stairs to the tip of the mountain. I could hear Cynthia's pokemon holding up Team Galactic.

I slapped myself in the face and took a deep breath before making my fists white knuckle tight.

"I can do this! Dialga can eat shit!"

I put a hand on my belt and dashed up the stairs, grunting with each oversized step while wondering if giants used to inhabit this region.

By the time I got to the top I went on my hands and knees while my ankles and legs were in pure agony. It makes sense that using fly to get everywhere isn't always the best choice.

"They need me…I can't run like I did in that cave. I can't!"

I lifted myself off the ground and continued to run forward, my head started to feel foggy from what I assume is me over exerting myself. but when I end up finally reaching the top.

It was silent.

Completely silent.

And I could see a faint blue figure standing tall above the unconscious figures of Cyrus and Cynthia. It wasn't hurting them or doing anything else.

"Cynthia!" I shouted as I kneeled next to her body with her Lucario next to her.

Before I could do anything, I felt a rumble from the final steps above me. It was him.

The monster that I knew too well was in front of me, and it looked perfectly cut out from my father's notebook.

"I was waiting for you, human." The voice spoke out in an oddly intelligent manner for a Pokemon.

"Lord Arceus had me put on this whole facade just to get you to come up here… I'm Dialga, the Lord of time. And please, just go up."

I heard a faint flute melody play as a blinding flash of light fills my vision, making me cover my eyes. And when I looked again, there's a huge flight of stairs.

"Up them, Human. I have no patience for your games, especially now."

I stood in shock as I saw Dialga casually rise from the ground and zoom up into the air.

I had no words to describe what I just witnessed. That Pokemon can talk? Why didn't he kill anybody? And why the hell is my father correct?

I started to walk up the stairs for the Impending meeting with God himself.

After I made it up to the top I was pleasantly surprised I didn't feel scared, worried, or even sad. But one emotion I did feel was melancholy.

"Sit next to me."

The voice I heard finally made me regain my senses. I looked around me for the mysterious figure who owned that voice, only for my eyes to settle on a white figure blending in with the clouds right above me.

I walked across the invisible floor over to the figure that was peering to the region below. It was almost as if it was watching over me, it was kind of comforting in an odd sort of way.

But I do as it says and sit next to it.

"I do not know your name. and I do not care for snooping within my creations affairs without permission, do not worry."

It turned its head and its red eyes pierced directly through my being, purposely avoiding my soul as I saw it turn away.

"You have many inner turmoils, I don't need any omnipotence to see that." Arceus spoke with a slight hint of cockiness

"And what does that mean? What exactly can you guess?" I asked.

".....Your very being is filled with self doubt" It spoke to me with a hint of hesitation.

I started to feel a mixture of confusion and anger towards this statement and retaliated "And do you care to further explain?" I said, my voice tinged with venom.

I couldn't see it in Arceus's face but he was surprised and ever so slightly alarmed. The God of all never dreamed of a mortal demanding a single thing from him.

After a bit of silence It finally spoke "........It seems to me you know how to speak your mind, that's a quality I've seen few possess towards myself."

"I promised myself I would never let anybody control me, especially after what happened to my parents." I replied calmly.

It turned its head around again and spoke in an amused tone, no hint of malice towards me in sight. "Well, That hasn't worked out well has it? That mask you wear tells me you don't really mean what you say."

"I'm leaving." I grabbed my backpack and tried to walk to where the stairs were, but they were gone. There was nothing but a freefall to the bottom.

It appeared beside me like it was going to harm me, but like the other times it did nothing. It just looked at me with a mixture of worry and…guilt?

"Please, sit down and let me tell you a story, I promise there will be a lesson for you within it."

I reluctantly sat down beside it. What was I gonna do, jump?

-The Unforgiven-

The boy entered the chambers of his mother's room, who has recently contracted a fatal illness.

He went to her bedside and tightly squeezed her hand, prayers for her safety under his breath

"Arceus please… let her get help."

The mother lifted her head up and spoke to the boy "Arceus has a plan, he has a plan for us all" She said.

After this event, he made a vow. He would never rely on the gods again, he would try to free others from the confines of religion. And later he would be seen doing that exact thing.

Though his attempts went unnoticed or ridiculed, the young man went on with his quest. He would not let others be indoctrinated with useless beliefs.

but what the man felt would never be understood by anybody else. He will always be a shell of his former self, wondering what life would be like if he had been raised in a proper setting with parents in a right mindset.

Though the man vowed to help others and free them of religion, he acted hypocritically against his true feelings. The tired man was afraid of society's punishment, scared to be ridiculed by the society he set out to dismantle.

And by the time the man grows old, he turns fully complacent to society's wills. He has realized there is no way one inconsequential being can ever spread the pain he's felt.

And thus, when the tired old man finally passes this cycle must begin anew. They are never allowed to be free, society labels others in terms of race, religion, sexual orientation, and other unchangeable factors.

-For Whom The Bell Tolls-

"Do you understand, human?" Arceus opened his eyes and gazed directly at me.

".........Yes, I
do." I answered quietly, "I hope you don't intend for me to be the guy in the story."

"You're certainly getting there, young man." it spoke with absolute certainty.

Hero Of The Day
Dom! Dom!" A stream of water flooded my senses and my body as I felt someone pick me up, not hesitating to shoot more water.

"COUGH, HACK." I sat up after what felt like an eternity of whatever that water was going down my throat. I looked around to see who had done all this and saw Barry's Floatzel holding me.

"I was worried you wouldn't wake up…" I looked beside me and saw Cynthia, who had seemingly commanded Barry's Pokémon. "Floatzel, you can set him down now."

"Where… where is Barry? He's not the type to just leave," I asked as I was set down, looking around to find Barry still on the floor… snoring?

"My Pokémon were knocked out, so I used his," she said as she returned the Floatzel to its ball and walked toward me. "Excellent job at stopping Dialga, I might add, though it's a shame you didn't catch him… but I wasn't conscious to see the rest, so I shouldn't judge."

"Your um…" I thought about the fact that I had just seen him float away, and just before that, he spoke perfect English. That whole scene with Arceus had my brain in a million pieces.

"You're welcome? Your head must be hurting from all that temporal energy around. How you didn't faint as well is beyond me…" Cynthia observed my belt, where every single Pokéball was faintly glowing red, meaning they were all tuckered out.

Cynthia unlatched a Luxury Ball from her belt, the Pokéball glimmering with plenty of care and replacements, as it shot out a red energy, releasing a Garchomp scarred on its left eye.

"Fly these two boys down to the Pokémon Center, and inform them Team Galactic has been dealt with. I want to stay up here to investigate some things."

"She's not going to believe me if I tell her… right?"

"Cynthia, I think I ac—" Garchomp jumped in front of me, snatched me in his arms, and threw me onto his back before grabbing Barry and quickly zooming off down the mountain.

"Thanks for going slow, Garchomp." He tilted his head at me and nodded, speeding up a bit to mess with me with a sly grin. "I don't feel particularly well, actually. I think that abundance of energy up there drained me… especially that experience." Garchomp looked at me again, seemingly interested in what I was rambling about.

"Ah, j-just ignore me! I can't think straight right now," I said as I adjusted myself on his back, holding on to the fin as I saw Hearthome City down below. "This is a fine place to stop. I'll explain the situation and finally relax."

People stared as Garchomp gracefully landed right in front of the center, a few bystanders even trying to help me off and carry Barry to a stretcher.

"You did it! good job Dom!" Nurse joy cheered

"Carefully, He's a hero!" "Give him some space before the boy faints!" "Mommy! Isn't that Miss Cynthia's pokemon?"

Garchomp picks me up and carries me to the medical side of the building, even patting my head with his arm before walking off

After everything settles down Nurse Joy comes into my room, setting down some hot soup and an extra blanket

"You seem quiet, the last time you were here you were talking up a storm with the whole lobby, trying to find a battle opponent…"

I roll onto my back and sit up with a small groan and a bad taste in my mouth "thank you…" I take the bowl of soup onto my tray above my chest and straighten my aching spine for a proper posture

"It really isn't your fault you know, Barry's only real injury is a couple of razor leaves to the chest… you trusted him and battled Dialga, and won no less."

I started with the vegetables of the soup and ate the carrots at the bottom, which I would be lying if I said I enjoyed. But sometimes you have to just get it over with.

"Is my team okay?" The red light of the signs outside made my meal look like a dreary red color, making those damn memories come back. this whole day has been just a reminder of when-

"...And to sum it all up, your pokemon need a few days rest for injuries or stress relief, I can't in good conscious let you overwork your pokemon again"

I finished with the vegetables and got to the delectable meats, the best part. You never want to even think of the carrots when you get here, out of sight and out of mind.

"I understand, I need a break anyways, a big break, I'll take a nap and figure out something to do."

I slurped down the broth, I'm done.

"Here's the remote then." She hands over the TV remote for the screen in front of me, which has buttons for Pokeflicks+, EVTV, and Mewtube.

"I would go and get that poketch checked out, it's full of wear and tear from that fight I think." She takes the bowl with her and before she goes out of sight she softly yells to her Chansey "go see if Doms pokemon are sleeping okay, I'll be right there!"

The next day starts Like all the other ones… the only difference being I'm in pretty bad pain, but since there's the whole day to waste. The whole day is planned out in my head and it'll go fine

I got myself up and put on a whole new set of clothes before checking out of the pokemon center to explore the city I never really had time to explore.

"Warm and kind…" I told myself, that's the slogan that's all over TV In sinnoh. It's almost like it's trying to be a tourist spot, which is the exact opposite vibe this city gives

In Hearthome city, there might be too many things to do, there's the Contest Hall, Amity Square, gym… "There! That's where I need to go!" I circled on the map the location of the nearest poketch repair shop.

I discreetly followed the foot traffic of other city folk. And as I did, a girl ran up in front of me and pulled me out of the crowd flow I was in, I couldn't comprehend "Hey! Hey! Careful there!" I try to warn her incase this was all an accident

She lightly pulled me out of the foot traffic and pouted at me. "You were on the news right?" I was? Of course I was… how do I keep forgetting I helped save the whole region?

"Yes, I was. Do you need an autograph or something? Always happy to give one" I gave a thumbs up to maybe reassure her that it's okay to just plainly ask people instead of being rude like this.

"I heard you battled team Galactic AND Dialga all at the same time! Does that mean you can help me with my pokemon?" She put her arms behind her back and started to move up and down from the balls of her feet, just waiting for me to say yes.

I looked across the street so we could cross, there's never any cars so we both quickly passed a ways down the street until we hit the relatively empty sidewalk

"I guess I could, but if it's a battle you need then no can do because my pokemon are recovering for a few more days." I said discreetly with hands in my pocket while leaning against a streetlight pole.

She kicked the ground in a semi-pouting motion "Oh… but I really need my Mimikyu and Baxcalibur to be ready and your trainer page said you were open to train!

"Wait what? Baxcalibur? That's a strong pokemon for a kid with no license to have… Whatever, what's so wrong with them?"

"Baxy won't do anything anymore and we have a contest tomorrow that will earn me my official trainer license, same thing with my Miku as well…"

This is exactly what the odd dream with that god was talking about… pokemon that grow uninterested and disobey. Laxity it was called.

"Lead me to em then" I said bluntly, staring at the girl

"Yay! I knew I could trust you." She pulled on my arm and led me to her decently sized house, the front door leading me to a scene with her Baxcalibur napping in the corner on its side.

"This is Baxy! And Miku ummm… I think she only comes out at night actually" She took off her shoes and I followed her lead and took mine off as well.

"Are your parents not home? Wait, what's your name even?" I stood by the couch to wait for her to invite me to sit down.

"Mom and Dad went to Veilstone city to play at the casino before it closes because of something about voltorbs blah blah… And my name is Aveline.

"Baxy! We have a guest!" The Baxcalibur opens one of its eyes and grunts, forcing itself to sit up and yawn.

"Hmm.. This Baxcalibur seems a bit out of shape… How long has he been doing this?" I moved towards Baxy but slower than I would my own pokemon.

"A week now, and Miku has been running from me as well…" She walked around to the kitchen and got herself Pokemons version of an ice cream bowl. "Miku! Baxy! I have your treats!

I observed how the Baxcalibur suddenly jumped up and went to the kitchen while subtly rumbling the whole house. And the Mimikyu spawns from the shadow in the corner, in that subtly creepy black and white Pikachu cosplay.

She raised both of the ice cream bowls above her head "Ah ah ah!" If you want it we need to go outside and let this kind man help you train! Both of the pokemon looked at me and rush outside, Baxcalibur in particular running like it's trying to destroy the whole city.

"Alright! Baxy and Miku! You both have that contest tomorrow, correct?" They both furiously shook their heads up and down, eager to listen to me.

"Wait! How are they listening so well? They won't even come to me if they're hungry…" She looked at me and tried to see if I somehow had some kind of mind control device on me.

"I collected all 8 badges, so that for some reason makes pokemon listen to me better. I can't even explain it myself…"

I walked up to the Baxcalibur and Mimikyu and put my hands on both of their heads and started to pat them "when we finish this how about I buy the both of you poffins? I heard they help with contests and the like."

The training goes surprisingly well, Baxy already lost that small chubbiness he had and Mikus' shadows seem to be almost overflowing from under her. And before I even knew it, it's already 5pm and both pokemon are collapsed on the ground from exhaustion

"Woah! You did great, Dom! How did Baxy already lose that weight?"Aveline kneeled beside Baxy and rubbed his stomach, dropping a treat down his maw.

"I'm going to go give my poketch to the shop down the block, and I'll come back with poffins for them. I actually know somebody that works there."

I headed off towards my original objective, not even letting the appealing signs and wavering traffic distract me from getting to my goal.

I entered the poketch shop and glanced around at the newest models, not even recognizing them compared to my current one.

"Ah, welcome! Are you considering trying our brand new poketch 16 pro? My Kirlia sure seems to like it!"

Kirlia entered the scene, she spun with pure grace with the shiny new poketch on its arm. "Kirrrrrliiiia!" It cried as it takes off the watch and put it in my right hand

"Just cause of that, I think I'll take it" I walked up to the counter and set the poketch down with a soft thud

"Great! That'll be 4000 poke dollars! With the warranty that would be 4125!"

I put a hand to my chin and scratched in thought "without a warranty is fine, I'll probably rarely be here."

"It applies to all locations around sinnoh!"

"Fine then" I gave her my trainer card filled with funds from when I beat the 8th gym leader, which I don't even remember the name of.

"Aaaaaand… it's yours! Brand new model!"

"I appreciate doing service, I would really give your Kirlia a raise for that hard work"

I walked out to the street and look out at the setting sky, almost
like it's telling me to get back and check on my pokemon. "Shouldn't take too long to set this up, I should get back fast anyways"

Giratina/Savior
"Lord Arceus, why did you choose THAT boy in particular? wouldn't it have been better to choose a trainer that's actually…Good?"

Dialga stood in a white void, devoid of anything but him and Arceus, which is where the supreme ruler resides as he makes plans and watches over its creations.

Arceus turned around to meet Dialga's red eyed, steely gaze as he prepared to give his odd reasoning…

"It's not that he's a good trainer, I'm not fully sure how he got this far myself… but you are aware of the Cult of Arkina, correct? I assume all of my direct children are aware of that tyranny."

"Yes, but they were stopped 10 years ago by that steel ex-elite four member, correct? Don't tell me they've gone neo like Team Plasma… are we gonna have the kid stop them?"

"No, but good guess considering these past 10 years…" Arceus sighed, having a slight look of disappointment on his face.

"Then what's so special about the boy?" Dialga tilted his head to the side in wonder, was this just a leeway into asking him to fix more wormholes and space-time rifts?

"Girus, that's the cult leader's last name and the boys as well… They are father and son." Arceus's gaze switched to his side, as if there's something over there but it's still just more void.

Dialga's face widened in pure shock as he subtly stepped back "W-whaaat?? My Lord you cannot be serious! You mean to say he's evil then? Do I stop him?"

"No, I never said he was evil, and even if I did want him subdued I don't trust you after that…Tower incident."

"Hmph, don't mention that my Lord" Dialga batted his head away in shame "It was those damn gears, you know that."

Arceus chuckled "Now back to that boy." The atmosphere of the white void darkened to a light gray with tension as a live view of Dom appeared, as he seemed to be making poffins in some sort of poffin shop.

Dialga's face lit up slightly as he saw the poffins, but his face quickly darkened in realization. "So what Giratina said about the leader's son… was he not just bluffing to throw us off? Did he really do all those experiments with his son? Despicable bastard." Dialga growled in frustration.

The quiet streets of Hearthome filled with a faint stepping sound as the sunset quickly faded away like a dying candle as Dom mumbled his favorite songs lyrics to himself as he held bags full of poffins.

Dom sighed as the song from his earbuds suddenly halted, he raised his wrist up to his face and fiddled with the albums he had downloaded "Damn it! C'mon now… Unovan Idiot… Weezinger…Master of Swagger…Reshiforce… Ah, got it." He finished going through his poketch before realizing it said it detected a wild pokemon nearby, that's why it stopped.

"What?" Dom looked around and saw nothing, there was a little tingly feeling in the air but that could've been anything. Despite the interruption he proceeded onward.

Should I be trying to… maybe run? What's this sense of dread I feel?

I decided to burn that dread and just walk like I was doing, but I can't shake that feeling of being watched, especially after that poketch message. "I just gotta get back man.."

The streets filled with a thick, misty fog that consumed the light around it, it rushed toward me like a rough tsunami.

"SHIT!!"

I covered my face with my arms as the bag of poffins as the fog rushed past me, ripping the bag and sending the poffins everywhere before the wind suddenly halted and a large figure appeared in the grayed fog…

I stare at the red eyes piercing through my entire being, I swiped the fog away with my hands and saw it.

The figure from my dreams, my father's biggest desire. It scared the absolute hell out of me… but the sight quickly felt natural, like I was at my old home or in a comfortable pokemon center bed.

"We've been investigating you, you know… all the gods. Dialga, Palkia, the Unovan Dragons, and me, most importantly."

I felt compelled to walk toward the God and I started slowly moving towards him, step by step I saw him becoming clearer. That body is exactly from my father's textbooks, what he did to me I can't I can't…

Surges of uneasiness pulsate through my body which eventually cultivate Into pure negativity in my mind.

Was my father's death my fault? Maybe Giratina will help me remember? I think I'll trust him, yes I for sure will.

"It seems I've worked my magic on you, Mortal" Giratina grinned in pure, sadistic glee as I grasped my head, my hands fingers nearly crushing my eyes as certain memories come flooding back, only ones that he will allow me to remember.

"What the fuck do you want with me?! My
Father's done everything you asked and you…you killed him!"

The buildings around me began to crack as the ground started to lift in the air and the sky became purple and black.

This is the essence of pure distortion

"Don't you think you're making a scene?" Giratina laughed out loud as I began to freak out, I quickly ran away as far as I could possibly go, but I only ended up looping back to where he's positioned.

I quickly tried to snatch a pokeball on my belt but I got nothing. The fog thickens and Giratina seems to get closer and closer to me.

"You hurt them, remember? They're in critical condition at the pokemon center and you're getting poffins and buying a new watch? You disgust me, you know that? All this for some girl too, Have you even told her your name?"

"No…"

"She reminded you of those memories, correct? You wanted to get closer to her to help you remember." Giratina tone grew more somber as his sadistic look fashioned itself into pity

"Yes… yes I…….what?"

The fog quickly lifted and he stood more normally, that look in his eyes was completely gone. I got up from off ground and dusted myself off, not fully trusting him

"I had to really make sure it was you, Lord Arceus won't like I tortured our new Savior like this but I felt it must be done" Giratina said in a calm and respectful voice, a far cry from his previous behavior.

"You killed my father… The whole reason I went on this journey was to get revenge!" I ran up to Giratina with newfound courage and tried to move one of his legs but I just ended up hugging it instead. I quickly let go as Giratina seemed to just watch with a smile on his face.

Savior

12 years ago, A hidden research lab sat on the outskirts of the Sinjoh Ruins. Snow was heavy that day as mother and father were busy investigating the ancient texts and glyphs of the ruins. Of course I was dragged along for these expeditions, but at least I got to visit many different places in regions like the Dragon Spiral tower in Unova and even Area Zero in Paldea.

While I did have fun at each of those places I could never have fun here, even my teacher requested I be taught somewhere "more suitable for learning" but… she was quickly laid off before most of the major events happened.

"Dom! Dom!"

My Father, Gabriel Girus rushed into the tent with some sort of tablet in his dirty, soot covered hands shaking me out of my sleep in a rush. I quickly bolt awake and look at his near crazed face holding the tablet.

"See? See? We found something! I told you we would… See, being here isn't bad at all!" I quickly got up and swept some of the fallen soot off me.

"Can I go play with Aria now Dad? We're just gonna stay to find more anyways, not like I'm gonna be able to leave…" I put my shoes on and started to eat the rest of the snack by my bedside table that I never finished the night before.

I thought what my father was wearing was odd, a tuxedo and a mask? Was he going to some kind of royal ball in a castle? But I remember reading his reports, he was obsessed with finding the Creation Trio more than anything. Maybe getting in some fancy outfit was pleasing to the potential gods observing him.

"Today is it! Today is the day I….jo….Gi…" I walked out with my Great Ball before I could listen to him finish those cultish words, eager to spend more time with my Lucario, named Aria before my father needed me to take my medicine again.

I moved to where we played last time, a bit behind the tent into a medium sized cave Mom set up as a play area of sorts. As I went in I practiced freeing the lock on my great ball, furiously smacking the white button in the middle until it opened and energy shot out and settled on the cave floor.

"Aria! Can we watch Grave of The Volbeats again? I can't watch it alone…"

She quickly nodded no and ran to pick a different movie in the stack, I quickly followed her to the stack of movies and she picked out Princess Monotype. I pop the VHS from its case and insert it into the VHS player, quickly dashing to the chair in front of the TV

"This is the one with the Hisuian Zoroark and that boy with the bow right?"

At around the same time, my parents were arguing daily. I didn't realize at the time but Aria was trying her best to keep me away from their spouts, especially since I was always the subject of them.

"Will you stop treating our son like a subject? What the fuck are you injecting into him!?"

The couple entered a full blown argument, not just a lovers dispute. Dad looked up from his desk positioned near the entrance of the ruins and slammed his desk.

"I told you already, he's got issues with his heart. Lucario even detected it herself. He retaliated, standing up from his beloved research to meet his wife's gaze.

"You've been injecting some kind of… pokemon essence into him! What the hell are you trying to do, you sicko!" She slammed her hands on his desk, making everything near the edge fall off and the sound of clattering echoes throughout the ruins.

"I told you, it's just some Kadabra supplements to boost his brain power. His teacher took off and he needs to study!"

She swiped the Pokeball on her belt and clicked the middle button to send out her most trustworthy Pokemon, Aggron. The Aggron growls and stares at him, with an unwavering stare.

"Okay, fine" Gabriel Uncharacteristically puts his hands up and starts to speak, sitting back down in his chair and grabbing some files. He slammed them all down as she Gasped, stacks of files and papers about…they're son?

"The hell does this mean, Gabriel? Is this so-"

"I've been injecting him with as much legendary pokemon essence as I could, you see. If we ever manage to meet Giratina, Dialga, Palkia, maybe even Arceus himself, We have a worthy sacrifice for our Lord's!" He spread his arms out as his eyes got that crazed look again, she can't help but start crying at her husband's degrading mental state, and what he's been doing with they're son.

"I'm leaving, okay? I'm taking our son and leaving, I have a position to manage anyways. Just…come back when you start to feel better, please."

She hopped on the back of her Aggron with a grunt and pats his head. "Take us behind the tent in that little cave alright Aggro?" Aggron nods and starts to walk out of the ruins, each footstep creating a small rumble in the surrounding area.

"Metilca, WAIT!" Gabriel cries out

"Aggro, start going a bit faster" Aggro starts to go into a full on sprint, weirdly fast for a such a heavy pokemon"

While I was watching the movie with Aria I started hearing heavy slams, quickly getting closer until I suddenly saw Mom on Aggro and I hear him mutter something in Pokemon speech to Aria and she suddenly grabs me and hops on Aggros back, letting me go in the process.

"Mom, where are we going? Everyone's being weird right now…" I asked while trying to position myself better on his back steel is uncomfortable even with little seats on it

"I gotta go do a match with some trainer that absolutely creamed the first 3 of the elite four… and I decided I would bring you with me to watch a cool match"

Palkia
"Palkia…listen to me!" Dialga growled at the latest god Arceus has recruited "Do you really think it's acceptable to make galaxies like this? First of all, Lord Arceus won't want to clean up another galaxy like this, it's been long enough to where you can do it yourself."

Before Dialga could finish listing off all his complaints a nearby Galaxy decided to implode, the collapsing stars and everything heating up quickly causing a supernova. "Palkia, I have no words for you…I'm not going to be a snitch and report it to Lord Arceus, as he probably knows now. Those human astrologists are probably going to be freaking out over this…"

I tried to find the words to even begin to respond to all that just transpired in a short amount of time as Dialga kept on going on about a god's duty to protect and do what you were born to do, since the universe will collapse like this galaxy right in front of me if I kept this up

I tried to think of the consequences I would face due to this but I've never been punished by Lord Arceus before. What would be my punishment? Creating more galaxies? Having to stay by him? Another training period? I was too scared to even think of the worst ones.

"Hey hey hey… Palkia are you okay?" Dialga suddenly says in a mellow and softer voice. Was I being weird again? I was usually alone with my training until recently so maybe that was making me seem more socially awkward than I really am.

"Yeah… yeah why?" I muttered as Dialga floated closer to me and tilted his head a bit in confusion. His red eyes when serious are extremely scary, but now they're extremely soft and kind, despite being the same.

Maybe it should be obvious why he was so worried. the pearls on my circular shoulders weren't bright pink anymore, instead being a dark magenta.

"You don't seem fine, Palkia… the reason why that galaxy exploded was because your emotions are all over the place, which I thought Lord Arceus would have helped you with." Dialga stood taller and said it boldly, to get the point across to me.

I thought about it being my emotions, and that seemed like the reason. He was doing this job for who knows how long before Arceus found me, what reason do I have to not believe him?

I floated away from him a bit to observe the damage, its energy still pulsating throughout the surrounding galaxies. I really did mess up badly, but at least it wasn't anywhere near the main galaxy, where all the humans and pokemon reside.

"Where… Did you come from Palkia? I was born directly from Lord Arceus's power, but you had a base. "

I turn around to meet his gaze, now it seems serious again. I expected a question of my origins. but really not this soon, not when I haven't had time to prepare.

"I initially assumed maybe that base was just pure spatial energy or something but judging by your emotions, I really doubt that now." Dialga says this like he's some professional detective.

I start to freak out internally, maybe I should've at least tried to be stoic? But there's no way I could've ever kept that up especially when i-

"Palkia! Snap out it!" I suddenly snapped out of thought again, the glowing orbs on my shoulders shined brightly as if they tried to give me away. I gently floated back towards him, away from the explosion causing my grief.

"I'm sorry sir, Dialga…" the emptiness of space filled my very soul with quiet agony, I just wanted to leave, no more training, no more responsibility.

Why was I even thrown into this? What did Lord Arceus ever see in me? Maybe if I visited the only place familiar to me it would ring some bells.

And Dialga, as if reading a script of my own needs, he said to me "Do you want to go rest? I guess if you need a little breather I'll be willing to clean your mess this time…" His breath waned a bit as I sensed he slightly disagreed with what he just said.

I tried my best to act uninterested but I instead just gave up on that act and started my journey towards Earth. Dialga watched me leave before he turned himself around to go fix my mess…which I kinda felt bad for leaving him with now, especially after he just did that Spear Pillar act for Lord Arceus.

As I glided across space into the main solar system I thought about how the original Palkia built everything I've ever seen, even technically on earth. Why does Lord Arceus trust me of all beings that have ever existed so much to carry on the expansion of the whole universe? And why won't he ever tell me anything, it's like i'm being used as some sort-

SLAM!

I quickly propelled myself backwards as I realized I indented myself into the side of Mount Coronet like Wiley Mightyena while trying to catch that damn Oricorio.

As I regained my bearings from making that mistake I began to remember something, like time itself is flowing into me and forcing me to remember…

"Under intense stress a legendary pokemon has been known to unleash all of its force, you could say. Now what if we replicate that for humanity's gain?" A man talks to a camera in front of his computer in an authoritative tone, but it's all…muffled, I can't hear and it feels like I'm submerged in something viscous and wet

Then I feel fear

I never thought I would get any of my memories back, Lord Arceus said they were long gone. Maybe he was lying? But what would be gained? My eyes began to glisten with tears as I quickly peeled myself from the hole I was stuck in. I tried to wipe them away with my arms but even that couldn't overcome this raw emotion I was feeling.

"What is this…?"

I grasped my chest as I felt a sudden tug at it and leaned on solid ground below me as I collapsed down as my back hit the wall.

"Why does my chest hurt…? I-I think it's leaving me now, I'll have to ask Lord Arceus what happened when I see him…"

I floated back to where I was and looked up the mountain, seeing Spear Pillar poking through the clouds. I remembered the fact that Dialga was up there doing his menacing act just a few hours ago, it's pretty risky to investigate now since there's bound to be humans up there. But since I've never been up there and it's supposed to be a sacred place for me, I decided to float up and just take a small peek.

Though I realized if I was caught I would need to do some covering, since none of the humans know I'm even back. And Lord Arceus doesn't really know I'm here so it wouldn't be wise to alert him as well…

I sighed as I made my way up faster, I was pretty confident nobody was up there, since it is a sacred ground after all.

Thankfully once my feet were fully planted onto the ground I saw nobody resided in this area, though I did smell a faint scent of lingering perfume and sweat. I walked closer and observed Dialga's footprints indented into the ground like the prints at that place near Pokestar Studios. But as quickly as that caught my eye another piece of information seemed to glean like it was calling to me, words carved on the pillars in some odd language told in symbols.

I attempted to read it out loud to myself, but most of the words' meanings leave me.

"Dialga, Palkia, Giratina…"

"Dialga….empower….Savior"

"Palkia……………Savior"

"Giratina…… Guide…..Savior"

I stand in near awe as I read something that Lord Arceus never once showed or told me about. my autopilot suddenly came to a freefall as I heard footsteps coming up the stairs leading to these ruins. And whoever it is seems to be talking pretty fiercely on their poketch

"Nana, this is my first big attempt at finally uncovering the secrets you and Grandpa spent your whole lives searching for! That Dialga incident finally gave me permission to investigate this place."

Cynthia walked up the stairs with messy hair and barely any sleep, I assumed she just didn't sleep which may still be true. but this time I detect pure stress and excitement coming from her. I internally freak out and hide behind a pillar just as she comes up the stairs.

"When I come over I guess I can leave Aria there, Dialga did a number on her and she's coming up in age now… and I also believe I'm her third trainer now, and I've been kind of wanting a Mimikyu or a Baxcalibur since I went to Paldea."

Cynthia hung up the phone and decided to lean on the pillar I'm right behind.she started to fiddle with her poketch, appearing to examine pictures of the ruins with the zoom feature on the watch. As she begins to read some of the translated text

"Blackened in the end… all that is…ever was, will be twisting, turning through the never…"

I tilt my head in confusion and curiosity as I hear those words, is she not just reading some edgy and cool lyrics? I disregarded the threat of being caught and bringed my head a bit closer and her watch began to make a beeping sound, while a voice from it warned of a wild pokemon nearby.

"Huh!?" I gasped as I stepped back and my body knocked over a pillar, instantly making me fall on my ass and hit my head on some jutting rocks behind me, making me cry in pain and hold my head.

"You!" I heard a gun cock and when I looked up I saw Cynthia aiming a pistol aimed right at my face, I quickly regained my bearings and put up some kind of shield with my powers.

"Your… those powers feel real, you must be a pretty good illusionist!" She realized the gun won't help her and switched it back to safety and put it back into her bag. She wished she would've just taken her Grandma's advice and packed up early, nobody's going to find her body up here.

I stand up, getting back to my feet and sigh. I was only on earth for maybe 20 minutes and almost immediately got caught, Lord Arceus is going to be disappointed… especially since I haven't mastered talking with humans yet, despite getting some lessons from Dialga

Cynthia walked up to my barrier and lightly pounded it with her fist, if I was a ghost Pokemon or a Ditto it would've just shattered or gone right through. She thinks her eyes must be playing tricks and chuckles lightly, backs up and charges at the barrier which promptly knocks her backwards

"You're everything that my mother told me!" She exclaims in pure passion, I can almost see stars in her eyes as she gets out a camera and snaps pictures. I should move but I'm afraid if I let this go she'll pull that gun on me again."

"S-stop…! Please stop… I'm going to be in trouble!

My message clearly didn't get across as Cynthia hastily went through her poketch and dialed the number of the great Professor Rowan, who would definitely know something of Palkia's odd revival.

As she dials I suddenly remember what I'm recognizing, she's contacting somebody with her cellular device. I quickly scrambled to escape as I put down my barrier and quickly flew away somewhere down the mountain.

If I go back into space I'm risking bumping into Dialga who's already pissed at me for that accident earlier.

Rowan picked up and yawned into his microphone as he wondered why Champion Cynthia decided to call him, another shiny pokemon? Or maybe even a new species discovery.

"It better be good to call me this early in the morning, Cynthia… I just finished some vital research " Rowan adjusted his camera to show his whole face, which is very clearly sleep deprived from the recent discovery of that Lake Of Rage Gyarados

Cynthia cleared her throat and set the camera to face her to show her full face "Professor, Palkia returned! I just encountered the legendary after that incident 10 years ago and I made sure it wasn't just a good illusion. My guess is that it was drawn by the battle with that kid and Dialga, something definitely happened when I wasn't conscious.

"You do understand how big of a claim this is to make, right? I assume you have proof to back it up?" he crossed his fingers and rested his tired head onto them as he awaited pictures.

"I preemptively sent the pictures, go ahead and check your P-mail Professor. It's clear as day pictures of Palkia putting up a guard against me, and it seemed to be deep in thought as well.

"Stupid new-fangled…..Alright, you're right… This is pretty definitive proof, only Palkia itself has been known to use that barrier ability. I'll inform everybody I know, but first did you see where it went off too?" He grabbed a notebook and began to write some now important information, the clicking of the pen ticked down to the eventual answer.

Cynthia cautiously walks towards the edge where I flew off and looks down, seeing the faint lights of a city below.

"Hearthome City, but it's clearly not attacking. And if it moved elsewhere like it did for me, you would have heard about this sooner" Cynthia adds in a matter of fact tone.

Rowan crosses his arms and closes his eyes, trying to act intimidating while also resting his eyes. "If you stocked up on potions and elixirs you would have been able to engage it in battle, let that be a lesson to you, Miss Cynthia. You still have much to learn even as Champion."

Cynthia sighs and tries to hurry this up, both her and Rowan should get all the sleep they could get before news blows up and they're forced back into their respective jobs. "Professor, I'll meet you in Hearthome around noon, that's when I predict the news will break. Bye!" Cynthia quickly hung up the call and scrounged around in her bag to grab an escape rope.

Ride The Lightning
"So, do we got the shipments ready? It took a lot to make these pokeballs y'know." A man chatted on the phone, before his door slowly opened

A man in an expensive looking suit faced away from his visitor, seeming to stare at the window down at Saffron City. The news of the Spear Pillar incident piled on with that Johto trainer people call the future Indigo League Champion defeating Team Rocket again, one of his few cheap Pokémon suppliers has made him quite irritable.

The intern at Silph Co. Shakily entered the room, hands in pocket to hide his nervousness. Ever since Team Rocket 3 years ago took over, they never truly recovered. The invasion allowed corruption to quickly seep into the business, and the old CEO mysteriously passed away just months later.

"S-sir, I just got word that Palkia, the god of space has come back, in the flesh no less?"

The CEO quickly spun back around in the chair and leaned on his desk with an exasperated expression on his face

"PALKIA?!?! Don't play with me, out! Out of my office, boy!"

He shoos the intern away like swatting an angry Beedrill. And as soon as that door closes he swipes his poketch off the desk and boots it up.

"DAMN! DAMN! Master said it was gone for good!" He yells as he bears witness to the news in front of his eyes.

This man is one of the biggest contributors of the impending Cult Of Arkina resurgence. During the cults prime 10 years prior he was in charge of the propaganda spread throughout various regions.

The man dials the number of the only one better than him. He contemplated if he should wait for more confirmation in case it's fake but he can't risk it, the whole organization revival is at risk.

"I've heard the news, I've organized all that I can to stop it again…" the voice says, and the phone hangs up. Just like that? He puts down his phone and sighs, putting his head in his arms.

"This is it…I haven't seen him in years but what could he possibly have planned? Palkia's going to kill-"

FWOOOOOOOOOM!

The whole building rattles with a hurricane like noise just outside his window. He slowly turns in his chair and takes witness to something blocking his view. He quickly gets up and dashes to the window and opens it, looking out to see something straight out of an Arczilla movie. Some kind of cylindrical object just zoomed past him and he recognized it…

11 years ago, when he joined the cult, he utilized his previous profession of being a rotom engineer and crafted plenty of weapons and…electric bombs, they're non lethal but who knows how much it was modified.

He kicks his chair over in a fit of rage and dials the number again, the tapping of the table with his finger turns into full on slamming of his coffee cup just beside him

"Sir?" A voice rings as the door opens and a woman wearing office gear and a clipboard runs in nearly tripping, but catching herself on the desk.

"This better be good." He said, his face and torso drenched in hour old coffee while still maintaining the professional demeanor.

"Get off your sorry ass and stop that bomb, or do I gotta make you like the last time your tech went rogue!" She slammed her hands on the table in pure anger.

It wasn't everyday his secretary got this mad, he knew he had to stop this very soon

He sighed and quickly went to hang up the phone but suddenly a voice came from it.

"Palkia is at Hearthome City in the Sinnoh region, the missile will only take…..8 minutes to arrive. You can't stop it" the voice says bluntly

"WHAT? Are you trying to start a war or something?" He sat in silence a few moments as his secretary yelled at somebody on her poketch, and he suddenly knew

"So it's today, sir? Earlier than expected."

PRESENT

I'm sat down in front of Giratina in what I now know as the Distortion Realm, I feel like I'm in-between consciousness and unconscious, and I feel my whole body sort of mentally capsizing

Giratina took a small breath before speaking to me "You know why this all started, Savior? Have you heard of the imbalances of truth and ideals? They were the main target of the legendary purge 11 years ago." Giratina explained in sorrowful tone

I have to force my head up, it's almost like it's killing me to be here. "No…..no I've never heard of any legendaries like that." I say as I felt myself slowly getting weaker, I stood up, having enough of Giratina's silence on why he's here

Giratina tensed himself and raised himself up, knowing exactly what I'm about to ask. He knows this will be shocking to me and I won't accept his offer willingly.

"Why am I here, Giratina? Are you purposely doing this to me?" I leaned on a piece of rubble nearby, nearly struggling for breath.

Giratina floats towards me, his eyes between his soft look and his hard glare. He gently swipes his head to the side before speaking.

"Of course you don't know, you humans tried to erase the legacy of Reshiram and Zekrom. Or rather the richer and more powerful humans, it's really not your fault, Savior."

I collapsed onto the ground in gasping breaths and Giratina looked at me coldly again. "Well Savior, it seems as if my Antimatter is having quite the effect on you, Savior. You may want to consider these next words…"

I lay on my back, vision slowly going gray as I turned my head towards him, mouth dripping with blood from the realms effect on a mortal.

I feel horrible, my brain feels like it's melting and my heart is about to implode. I'll take anyway to get out of my impending death.

CLUNK!

I look to the right of me, seeing deep black. I first thought it was my vision failing me, but on closer inspection it's a replica of some pokemons face?

"That's Zekrom, human." Giratina plainly stated as he kicked it closer to my face with one of his many legs. "A bomb is hitting Hearthome because of your beloved Palkia. you were going to see her, right?"

"What…are you talking about? Not like we're dating…" I mumbled as my body refuses to move, only causing anguish when I breathe.

"That girl, Palkia… She is Palkia, not your friend." Giratina looked down at me, with a scarily neutral tone "and they launched a bomb to eliminate her. The population size of Hearthome City is almost 30 thousand. Do you want them to die, Human? Then put on that mask."

"This is… absurd" I used the last of my strength to grasp the mask and raised it above my head. "You………..sure this'll …."

I dropped the mask and it landed perfectly on my face like a puzzle piece. And feelings of pure depression, disappointment, and pure anguish fill me as I suddenly have the strength to try and peel this mask off.

"URK!" I grunted as I sat up and couldn't even manage to peel it even a bit off.

"Just as Lord Arceus thought, it's connecting perfectly. I just had to dumb you down a little, Dom."

As I blacked out from the lack of oxygen I had some kind of dream, vision, or whatever. I saw Reshiram in front of me. Wait, who's Reshiram?

AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF YEARS

I see Reshiram's face appear in my vision, he's interacting with children at some kind of…festival? Fair? My head turned without my consent and I looked at an absolutely overwhelming amount of people in the crowd. I couldn't feel anything.

I couldn't feel my fingers

My breath doesn't waver even in my fear

I seem full of confidence but I feel as if I'm about to cry out in fear.

I can't scream, I can't talk.

If this was a dream, why do I feel my feet on the ground? Lucid dreaming? No way it's this real

SOMEBODY! ANYBODY!

I'm finally able to control my eyes and I quickly squeeze them shut. And suddenly my feet left the ground and I opened my eyes, my body suddenly bursted with pure confidence and unwavering power

CURRENT DAY

I felt a sudden influx of energy flow within my spine as a whole ocean of dark clouds surrounded me. Something below my back let out a soft vibration as I felt a push of vengeance within me. And to top it off, Silph Co is in front of me, how did I know that?

I'm so scared

The clouds reached across all of Kanto, before quickly compressing itself to make a thick ceiling for Saffron City. Lightning and thunder quickly follows, then a torrent of rain hits, shaking every building within the radius.

I lowered myself down from the clouds like I'm the savior everyone needed. Savior, that's what he's been called by Giratina. Is that what he meant? Why wasn't I warned of a single thing?

I quickly made my way to the top floor window, where I saw it crack open and a man shouted at me. It appears my brain has been messed with, his words sound a bit jumbled. but I'm able to quickly figure it out

"ZEKROM! I-its not me! Hearthome City! You have to go there!" A lady shouted at me

"Hey! Don't lead it!" I heard a man speak but I ignore him

I felt my body spark violently as I finally gained some sort of control.

I can think

I can act

"P-Palkia!" I roared into the open air as the clouds cleared. My mind now feels fully clear and I quickly fly off with the force of a jet plane, breaking all the windows in that floor of the building

I quickly zoomed through the air, dodging tree after tree and other pokemon in flight. I narrowly avoided toppling some old tower in Johto, soaring right through the entrance and up until the exit, knocking over many poor monks.

I suddenly spotted a familiar place, the Sinjoh ruins. The Sinjoh ruins border between Johto and Sinnoh, am I too late to stop it?

Wait, why am I like this?

Did that mask give me these insane powers?

I squinted my eyes as some sort of bright flash started to appear in my vision, this is it. I feel the pure unadulterated power of the bomb within my veins, the electric part seems to be able to be sensed by me.

I worked on catching up to the explosive. I felt my energy sort of running out, like it was leaking from me or something.

"G-Grgh!" I grunted as I used the last of my energy before slowing down to quickly snatch it.

O-oh that's… what the hell am…

BRRT-BLAAAM

The device I held combusted In my hand…or whatever it is, sending electric shocks directly through my veins. This wouldn't be a bad thing, but it's clearly tampered with some odd currents.

"Grk!" I covered my mouth as my nostrils started to seep with glistening blood. I started to gently float down, which quickly turned into a free fall to the ground under me. All of the power I previously had is gone, I'm still not sure who or what I even am.

CRACK! SLAM!

I managed to crash myself directly into a large tree and land right on my face. I groaned as I sat up against a tree and a spike of pain hit directly in my heart.

"What… COUGH, HACK!"

I observed at my odd looking hands, they're shaped more like baseball gloves and have a pretty odd scarlet color unlike the rest of my body. I lift my head up a bit and see trees surrounding me at every turn, shouldn't I get help or…would they kill me again or something?

I felt a warm liquid running down my chest and felt it running down my side. I quickly peered at my chest and saw the branch I crashed into, lodged perfectly into my heart.

"What the — why can't I say —? Why the heck am I not dead? Why does this pain feel manageable? I should be on the ground rolling right now!"

I effortlessly pulled out the branch, and the wound spurted out some blood before quickly stopping and becoming a hollow and dark hole.

"I already feel better, I could just go back to Hearthome, get this mask taken off and finally proceed with my life…right?" I said as I got up and tried to fly again, but I just ended up… falling on my ass again.

"C'mon.." I grumbled as I moved back to get a running start, proceeding to stumble and ram my head onto a tree as soon as I take a step

"What even is this thing behind me anyways?" I turn my head to this weird drill shaped tail behind me.

"I swear it was glowing some kind of blue earlier… I even felt it" I said in a curious voice as I proceeded to slam my tail into a tree by me, thinking it maybe just needed a little jumpstart.

"Just…"

SLAM

"WORK!"

SLAM–crreAAAAK

"Damn! Wait, I can say damn?" I suddenly get chills in my spine as I witness probably the tallest tree here subdue after only a few hits, quickly toppling over and hitting Arceus knows what.

BOOOOOOOM

A gust of dust and dirt filled the area as I shielded my eyes, before remembering my eyes are pretty much wind and dust resistant.

"MY CAR!" I heard a distant voice yell alongside the blaring of a car alarm

"I-I landed that close to civilization, are you kidding me?" I muttered as I tried to put pressure in what I felt was the core of my body so I could make an escape. But all I got was a soft whirring and blood coming from my wound again, which promptly makes me feel dizzy as I lean against another tree.

"Investigating the commotion, probably Torterra practicing earthquake again, over." I hear a woman say in some radio thing on her chest, I feel feel the static in my very being

"Oh no, oh —"

She trudges through the shrubbery and quickly spots me trying to stumble away from the scene of the crime, one step at a time.

"What the fuck?" She gets her camera out and starts to snap some pictures of me, and gets out her transceiver and speaks to her coworkers.

"We…" She takes another good look at my struggling. "We got some kind of… man just get the XXL cuffs, alright? And be sure to hurry."

The Thing That Should Not be
"Lord Arceus, I did exactly as you said and revived the great Zekrom" Giratina gently floated to the surface of Arceus's great white void with his greatest attempt at a smile to please Arceus.

Arceus was more tense than usual, seeming extremely worried about something. The whole atmosphere changed, the vast white became a vast light gray.

"Palkia is okay, right? And the citizens of Hearthome are unharmed as well I assume?" Arceus asked with the most worry Giratinas ever saw. The only time Arceus seemed this stressed was when it turned to stone a long time ago, and he had to rely on those kids.

"Oh, Palkia? She's okay, I don't know where she is but I can sense she's fine." Giratina turned his head away slightly in embarrassment. It's pretty embarrassing for a god to mess up like that…

"Ah, and as for the citizens, they didn't notice a thing. The bomb never even got close to Hearthome. Even though…" Giratina closed his eyes, Arceus assumed he messed up something else and sighs.

"And what about Zekrom? Did you seal him back in the stone? You know how dangerous he can be at a time like this, Giratina." Arceus asked, expecting disappointment

Giratina spawns the stone and it bounces on the floor, completely hollow and light.

"Zekrom is loose…? Go seal him, now" Arceus's expression didn't change, but his tone couldn't be more different.

"I have reason to believe he is dead, Lord Arceus. I couldn't sense his energy after the bomb went off. and there were a bunch of humans around his bloodied body. A clear hole was through his chest, I saw it myself. Giratina got ready for any punishment he must take, as he shut his eyes in a stoic act.

"Giratina… you're saying he wasn't alive for even 10 minutes? Is it possible to mess that up so badly?" Arceus's face remains stoic as he calms himself down with a deep breath

"It's okay, I recently let you roam from the Distortion Realm… maybe you're just not used to everything yet. We still have Reshiram's soul, yes? I intended for him and Zekrom to fuse, it's the strongest a mortal legendary can get right now. But we can make do, right Giratina?" Arceus said in a calmer tone

"Yes Lord Arceus…" Giratina spoke

"You're the only one who can control the power of those souls, Giratina."

Giratina finally manages to escape from that situation, while Arceus wasn't as mad as he usually was. These last 12 years have been hellish for everyone involved, it changed everybody involved for better or worse.

A FEW DAYS LATER

I quickly learned that powerful pokemon have it especially bad when they're captured. I never took a liking to being tied up, some may enjoy it but it sure wasn't for me.

I kept over hearing the professors and reporters coming near my cell, and unfortunately for my chances and being released they keep finding some kind of evidence that I harmed, ate, or even hid some trainer they won't even tell me the name of.

As far as I know they've found a fried trainer ID stuck to mud on my foot and human sized contacts that fell from my eyes when the heat of the room dried them from my eyes. Why the hell would my contacts still stay in my eyes when I transformed?

Before I closed my eyes to try to sleep this away again, one of them knocked on the window and entered the room. and some scientist enters the room with a clipboard and binder of papers, and her Aggron enters the room with her.

"Hey, hey! Isn't there a way to tell her that I don't know who the trainer is? I saved Hearthome City from going down!" I yelled at the Aggron with an apparent growl in my voice

"Aggron, make sure it doesn't pull anything, alright?" She said as she set down several pictures on a white table near me.

"I swear I didn't have anything t-to-GRRMMMPH"

The pain first started as a cold chill in my gut, but it quickly got colder until a whole influx of pain entered my body.

Is this what it's like to be hit with a super effective move…? I wouldn't wish it on anybody, It's the most painful thing I've ever felt.

I started to cough and wheeze as saliva started to drip onto the ground from my mouth. Aggron hit me with an absolute monster of an ice punch, and I was terrified.

I didn't even have the strength to resist anymore, as soon as Aggron retracted his ice punch I gasped and let out a few more coughs.

The woman walks up to where I'm chained and starts to write on her clipboard. "Well, it seems like a Pokemon like you does feel pain after all…" she said as she started to draw a picture of me within just seconds, likely capturing me within the moment… of being humiliated.

A younger assistant within the facility spoke to one of his friends next to him. "Yo, dude how does she do it?

"Bro, I have no idea. But from what I do know she comes from a family of amazing artists" His friend said while trying his best to copy her art through the glass, but he just ended up with a bunch of scribbles.

"Oooh is she related to that Ethan kid from back in what now, like 7th grade? Heard he was the golden child of the family and ended up going on some journey, good for him honestly."

"You've got no reason to be here, Zekrom. Traitors to mankind like you should stay dead, you're done hiding. You died with that damn Cult you bastard…" She gets a ladder from the corner and places it in front of me, climbing up to my face and presenting photos, wait no… really good art.

Wait,Traitor? Is this my business or did they get it confused with somebody else? No way am I going through this again, no nononononono…!

She presented a drawing of Reshiram to me. "Nod no if you don't know, yes if you do."

At the drawing of Reshiram, I only remembered seeing it through my odd vision. So I nodded no for now.

She then presented an image of Dragon Spiral tower. I remembered going there when I was a kid, so I nodded yes.

Dragon Spiral tower was an incredibly boring trip for me, if it wasn't for me dropping that black rock then we would have never left, even if it was in quite a hurry. That was the last time I saw Mom and Dad actually normal, and that's when Aria evolved…that's…

"Zekrom, what is this? Are you capable of crying?" she wipes a tear from one of my eyes and licks it, promptly spitting it on the floor from disgust.

"It seems like you're crying, but who knows how manipulative you really are, Zekrom." She said with a scowl in her voice "Powerful beings like you siding with the wrong side of humanity… shame on you."

One of the assistants entered my enclosure with a huge box of something that smells… absolutely incredible. The very essence of whatever was made fills my being with pure bliss, and a hint of déjà vu to confuse me more than ever.

Before she could show me more pictures an assistant entered the room with a large package and plopped it down on the table with a heavy sounding slam. "Got something for Zekrom, somebody from Paldea sure loves this guy, since this was hand delivered by some professional baker."

"Oh, really?" She turns around and takes a good glance at me. "Guess he does embody ideals and all, maybe something in him forced him to aid evil… but anyways, I can't do much when you're emotional like this." She walked out with a small huff and back straight, everybody quieted down Immediately when they heard the sound of her expensive leather shoes.

Even the delicious smell of the fresh baked treats couldn't entice me enough to stop thinking. As the tears finally stopped flowing and my eyes became clearer I noticed that Aggron had already fallen asleep. At the first sign of everyone finally leaving me the hell alone I decided to finally close my eyes and get at least more than a second of sleep.

"Hey, Cecil!" a voice rang from outside the large tour van, which was plastered with the band's name on both sides "I thought I called top bunk earlier man!"

Cecil turned his body sideways and slid the window open with an amused expression on his face "you were too busy filling yourself with that cheap booze from the show! I don't wanna hear shit man!" Cecil yelled as he shut the window and turned his body to look at me tuning a guitar on the couch.

"Yo, just wanna remind you that tonight we're gonna finally make it to your destination, and where everyone else is gonna play of course." Cecil told me as he flicked a VIP pass from his pocket into my lap like he's practiced this dozens of times before this

"Damn this looks good, drinking an expensive one when you leave man… In your honor" he said the last part with some hesitation as he sat on the bottom bunk. "It's clear you know something about guitars, you know?"

"G-GAH!" My eyes snapped open as the dream suddenly came to a halt.

That…that wasn't a dream, I was just reliving memories I didn't even realize could be so realistic. What the — is this? I would probably rather be interrogated than relive stuff like that.

I looked around at the restricting chains and gauntlets around my limbs and sighed. "Maybe not" I muttered as I looked up from my sleep and saw more scientists taking notes on my reaction to waking up from a bad dream.

How long did I even sleep? Probably no more than 10 minutes, since that fancy pokemon expert isn't harassing me.

I suddenly felt some sort of current run through me, it felt like my head was being impaled with a sharp stick over and over. And it was somehow even worse than being stabbed in the chest with an actual stick.

"This is going nowhere, I'm going to die here…" I muttered

I finally realized what that pain was. It was just some guy charging his Pokegear while working at his desk. Those things are solar powered, just step outside for a few minutes for Arceus's sake!

Humanity was never meant to get this far! Their ideals have far surpassed their empathy and care for others! They must be-

"What the — am I thinking?"

-AT AROUND THE SAME TIME-

While Ethan wished he could remain more anonymous while doing something basic as going out to eat, he didn't exactly mind signing autographs or letting some children pet his pokemon. (Though it could get risky with a certain few)

He thought being the champion of the Indigo League would lead to better riches, but it was fair for how easy it was to sweep the elite four and champion.

As he ate his food his Pokegear suddenly flashed green, he was getting a call. He answered the call and said "Yo, what's up Crystal. You finally find out what that event at Saffron a few days ago was? Heard some people say it was a marketing stunt, some say it was Arceus coming to punish us for our sins or whatever." He said as he drank the last of his moo moo milk

"Well… not quite, but I might have a new legendary for you to train, since you're so good at that." she said in a slight condescending tone.

Ethan nearly choked on his food as he quickly turned down his poketch and put it close to his chin so nobody around could hear. "You're kidding, right? You're suggesting a legendary was behind that? Why couldn't you tell me cool stuff like this before?" He inquired.

"Well, I'm legally able to tell you everything now, since you're the Indigo League champion. Which also comes with extra responsibilities like helping with missing person cases, being support when a disaster happens, and all that good stuff. Oh and your champion data just went through the system this morning, so that's why I'm making the call."

Ethan takes a bite from his burger as he quickly swallows it to respond. "Alright, no big deal. Stuff like that can't happen too often. But what about that legendary you mentioned? Who is it?" He asked as he opened his pokedex to register some data about it.

"Well, I'm sure you remember your 1st grade lesson on Reshiram and Zekrom, right? I remember mine pretty well." She asked, assuming he knew

Ethan put his hand on his cheek as an armrest and bluntly answered "Nope, never heard of them."

She sighed and started to explain what she could actually explain without it being too confusing. "Well… I guess you could say Zekrom embodies ideals and Reshiram embodies truth, Yin and Yang and all that. And we have Zekrom in our facility, and he appeared injured but his wound healed relatively quickly despite the blood loss…and he shouldn't even be alive most importantly"

"I'll come over now if I can!" he said excitedly. "Or you're still in Sinnoh aren't you? Can't you just send it?" he said curiously, trying to register this pokemon within his pokedex.

"That's what I just got done doing, I got Professor Rowan to send me a really high quality ball to keep him in. And I'll send the Zekrom when you're ready. How close are you to Oak's lab? That's the only place I'm allowed to send such a strong thing." She grabbed the pokeball from her bag and examined it as she waited for a response.

Ethan got up and left his bill plus a decent sized tip as he rushed outside, his bag practically dragging on the floor. "I'm in Viridian city, that's only like…" he looked at his poke gear
and saw a mere 50 minutes by foot "I'll be there in around 10 minutes."

The Man Who Sold The World- Part one
The surprise at my own thoughts made me shudder in fear, why would I ever think about killing anybody? I've never even harmed my worst enemies!

The room surrounding this one was emptying, it was break time. I could somehow feel the relief and worry drain from others and hear their inner desires. It was sudden and pretty horrifying but I could hear them think stuff like

"It's my daughter's 16th birthday next week, I hope that I can get her that new David Boweon album…" A woman in a black dress thought.

"I wonder if i'm able to run to that burger joint real quick…" a man in a lab coat also thought to himself.

Before I could put any more thought into it, she was back as quick as she left. And this time with some weird looking ball in her hands.

"Zekrom, we have a few more things we must do before I deal with you." She leaned against her sleeping Aggron as she took out a few pictures from her sketchbook.

A long pause filled the air with slight awkwardness. she took a deep breath as soon as the door outside the lab clicked shut.

"It must be uncomfortable being chained like this. All the evidence shows your innocence, Zekrom. It seems we can legally let you go into trainer custody. but before I do that, I need to know…"

She stepped to the side where the cameras were located and slammed the button to turn them off and yelled at me. not in a pissed off kind of way but in some odd affirmation.

"I know you can break those chains! Why do you choose to even be restrained? Any evil creature would have at least tried to resist before…" She put a hand on my leg as she leaned down beside me and unplugged the thing draining my power.

Power absolutely flooded me.

This is exactly how I felt when I was above that Tower the other day, it was such a euphoric feeling!

I struggled against the chains as the women scrambled to return the Aggron into its ball before I woke it up or potentially harmed it back for that lethal ice punch.

I got my feelings back. Whatever the —-was eating at me was draining me of absolutely everything. I could feel my tail generator go into some kind of overdrive, as feelings that haven't seen the light of day in god knows how long emerge.

"I know you're not evil! You have to get out of here before somebody notices, hurry!"

I ignored contemplating why she would change sides and release me. I struggled against these chains while strength continued to rise within me. The chain on my left arm snaps, then I effortlessly rip out of the one on my right.

While the Woman should have been scared, she was utterly fascinated. like she had been waiting for this for a long time.

"Wait wait, Don't remove your tail yet." She shouted at me as I froze in place from her command. It felt odd to be so powerful and still obey humanity. But I'm still at least somewhat human… right?

As she went behind me to tinker with the device holding me in place by my tail, I gripped the steel muzzle around my mouth and began to pull it off.

"There…there we go, easier than I thought." she sighed in relief. I felt a huge relief of my own as the final part that held me back Was finally removed.

The tail generator I'm still unfamiliar with started to whir, quickly building to max power and blowing away every single object near me

She held onto my leg to prevent herself from being blown away. I just knew she wanted something from me. but I had to make it clear I wasn't some legend, I was just some guy who doesn't even know how he's doing any of this.

'How can I even explain to her that I can't grant her wishes or whatever she thinks I'm gonna do? Maybe I should just try to…'

I opened my mouth and mustered up some kind of noise that could indicate my sapience.

"Merrrrrrgh…gruh"

It was hopeless, all that came out was whatever the hell was between a growl and a groan. I contemplated my chances of suddenly learning how to fly in this body and just busting out in pure embarrassment, but that would definitely harm her.

"See? It seems you do think my ideals are big enough!" She let go of me and ran to where her photos were blown away, bending over to grab them with a small grunt.

I stood like a patient child waiting for his mother to pay attention as she took her satchel off and put the pictures into it.

"Zekrom…this is extremely important, okay?" She placed the satchel into my claws…? Baseball gloves…? Whatever they were supposed to be.

I stared down at my claws as I went between gripping them and holding them loosely. It seemed even just squeezing it a little bit caused the woman to look at me in worry, as if I would crush them.

"There's only one place where you would be safe from us, Zekrom… when you get out of here, please look at the pictures I drew, they'll lead you straight there."

'Safe? That's what I've wanted this whole time, right…?' A feeling of doubt filled me as I glanced at the satchel.

'No, No. She wouldn't Betray me, her ambition to help me is absolutely immense. Maybe she was putting on an act to trick everyone else?' I thought to myself as she hugged my leg once again.

But something was clearly different about her. Her arms began to shiver, then I felt something wet from her eyes.

Oh Arceus, she was crying. I didn't know what to do. My eyes widened as she began to sob more frequently.

'She's getting snot on my thigh, I can't say anything AND I don't know why she's crying.'

"Oh Zekrom, thank you! Thank you for all those years ago… My brother's still alive because of your help." She said as she tried to wipe the snot off my thigh with her sleeve but just ended up spreading it all over my thigh.

I should've been disgusted. But I really didn't care. This body has made me resist pretty much anything but ice it seemed.

I squinted my eyes trying to refute my own thoughts. 'Yeah, and ground… And other dragons, Sheesh'

She wiped her eyes and tried to put on a serious face as if she was trying to reassure a child in a dangerous situation. 'Wait, I wonder how old she thinks I am. Am I still my original age or did I get aged up to an incomprehensible amount of years? Maybe I'm even reborn, so I could technically be an infant right now?'

I shuddered slightly at that thought, it seems my own head is still scarier than everything else right now.

Now that I started thinking about my own biology, I've felt hungry but I haven't been fed at all since all this started. And more importantly, I haven't felt any repercussions besides maybe my mind wandering……

"-And then that's how I remembered you saving my brother, you even talked to us with your telepathy! Of course you don't have to talk to me I guess, it's bold to assume one as mighty as you would listen to me."

I didn't know exactly what was being said, but I wasn't going to leave her with any doubts.

I gently squeezed the satchel with the lightest touch I could, musty before attempting to put it around my neck for safe keeping.

"Wait, here lemme see…" she held out her hand to me, I sensed complete trust in the gesture and placed the satchel back in her hands.

"Can you show me your back? I promise I won't hurt you." she asked softly as I willingly turned around to face the wall.

Then I felt pressure on my tail. 'Is she standing on my tail?! Oh Arceus what if I electrocute her… Wait, why am I putting up with this? I guess as long as she makes sure everyone leaves me alone.'

I then felt a touch of leather on my wing as she knotted it to the base of my left wing, then slung the satchel over my shoulder so I could see it.

As she hopped off my tail she spoke some more "See? Now you can look at it anytime!" Her expression started to grow a bit sorrowful as she opened the huge doors.

'Is this when I'm finally free? When I get out of here, am I even going to want to turn back? There wasn't much to look forward to anyways.'

"I need you to go to Unova, Zekrom." She suddenly said bluntly as I walked out of my captivity into the main room.

There were vials filled with my blood, files upon files of information about me and that Reshiram thing again…

"Before you go…" She put a hand on my waist to get my attention "did you know anything about the boy? We have nothing about him, his ID has been proven to be fake. It's okay, we found nothing conclusive about you harming him."

'Damn, they're still on about that? I may as well have died, but I just can't remember how I came to be in this form.'

"We suspect it's the missing kid from around 10 years ago, the son of Gabriel Girus."

I quickly turned my head to her, my Quivering red and white eyes filling her line of sight

"I-im sorry! I know you have a bad history with that evil man. We're honestly not very sure how you came back to us after all that happened to you"

'My father! How did I forget for even a second? What he did to all those pokemon…and my mother was beyond my control, but maybe I can finally move past that now'

I felt anger course through me, but it was much more manageable than I expected. I didn't even need to take a breather to calm myself down. I was still angry, but felt no reason to take that out on anybody. Not even my father.

She knew she needed to change the subject, so she went back to the topic just before this "As I was saying before, I need you to get to Unova, Zekrom. That's the only place I can possibly think of where you would be safe, these regions near us can't touch you there."

She opened the front door and that's when it hit me.

I couldn't remember how to fly

It became an even worse of a problem as she quickly closed the door behind me as the workers came in from their lunch break. It was the middle of the day, she probably expected me to fly out of here in just a moment.

'it's probably easier if I just try, right? I haven't tried since I was injured from that branch.'

I shut my eyes and focused on the power generating from my tail. This was kind of embarrassing, but thankfully there was nobody really around during work hours.

Then I felt it, just like what I felt when I first gained consciousness. It was pure power flowing within my spine.

As soon as I opened my eyes I saw I was already in the clouds. This felt absolutely amazing! It felt just like last time I went up this high, but now I have control over my body.

'Unova… Unova…' I tapped my face with my hand in thought. 'I remember my mother saying it was around west of Mount Silver, and since Sinnoh's so close… I should head west'

I looked down and saw Mount Coronet just beside me. it seemed as if this research facility was just beside an always dangerous mountain? I guess it would prevent many people from investigating

As I glided through the air, trying to get a feel for flight in this body I spotted Spear Pillar.

'The Unforgiven… Arceus. You know, I never had the word Arceus in my dialect before, why did it change for that woman?'

I slowly descended onto the tip of Spear Pillar and I just observed my surroundings

The wind was still roaring just like that day.

'No…no I should get to Unova, I was me, but now I'm gone. '

-AT AROUND THE SAME TIME-

Ethan walked through the lush fields of Pallet town, he really only stopped to take in the sights and write down the pokemon he saw.

"That's weird… I swear that Pidgey is more yellow than the others, and covered in glitter?" He quickly sketched the Pidgey in his notebook, using some yellow crayon to signify its unique look.

"Red! I think it's Red over there!" A woman in her mid 30's practically tackled Ethan over in excitement and surprise as the Pidgey got spooked and flew away.

"Ah! Damn what are you doing?" Ethan gently peeled her off of him as he bent over to grab his notebook again to see his drawing was smudged by dirt and ripped in the middle.

"You're not Red…" the woman seemed apologetic as she bowed a little bit in a brief apology.

Ethan started to turn around to properly meet her and asked "Red? I…haven't seen him, I'm sorry."

He didn't know who he really was, but he did get the jist from many other people. Red went missing 2 years ago, and his mother was in pallet town. He assumed he must've just dressed similar to him today.

But as soon as he looked where the voice was coming from, she was gone.

He was obviously baffled and looked all around the big field.

The farms? Nope, just some Miltanks.

There were no houses around close enough for her to quickly go into at all.

The grass wasn't tall enough for her to hide in it, the wild pokemon would be dangerous anyways.

"What the hell?" Ethan whispered in pure confusion.

The streams near him were quiet as he knocked on the door of the big laboratory on the top of a large hill.

The door opened to a sleepy assistant with messy hair and a wrinkled lab coat.

"Sorry kid, you missed the pokemon this morning. Unless you want a rather unruly one however…"

"N-no I'm not here for that" Ethan explained "I'm here to pick up a specific pokeball, it should be black with a yellow Z plastered on the front."

"Yeah, yeah, it came in just a few minutes ago, you're fast." The assistant opens the door to let him in and places a small box of snacks on the couch.

Ethan slumps down on the couch and sighs in relief, it's been so long since he felt a nice leather couch like this. And it was amazing

"If you don't mind me asking, where is professor Oak?" Ethan asked as he yawned, trying to not doze off.

"Well, he had a special request for him to go to the nearby Sinnoh region. Even I'm not fully sure what it's for, but it's easy to guess it's about that Zekrom I'm about to give you.

The assistant put the pokeball in a seal And dropped it in Ethan's lap. It was oddly light for some odd reason.

"It's pretty odd to see another kid handle all of these, you know Red right?" The assistant asked

"Yep, just saw his mom earlier. She seemed pretty distraught even after all this time. I would feel horrible if I disappeared from my family."

He turned around, a confused look on his face.

"His mother passed away 8 months ago"

My Friend Of Misery New
The wind atop Spear Pillar howled as I stood in pure silence, pure contemplation.

The wind suddenly vanished. I had felt a presence watching this whole entire time.

Below me, there was viscous, black goop slowly submerging my feet.

I knew this feeling, I had felt it before. But how? The last thing I ever remembered was my poketch screwing up…

"I see it has worked, and Lord Arceus isn't aware of your newfound existence."

I stepped backwards away from the impending Giratina. It felt as if I didn't deserve my own emotions as they failed me. Time and time again they fail me. It feels as if this is impending death.

My sight snapped to the figure rising up like the midsummer sun, throwing all I saw into pure obscurity. I should be mad at what he did to me, he turned me into a pure force of nature. And worst of all, my emotions and needs now lie in the hands of humanity.

The figure of Giratina shed its black shell as it fully rose up to the surface. It didn't seem harmful, but who knows what else it did to me besides change my very being.

"You performed beyond what I expected, Zekrom." Giratina smiled softly. "Me and Dialga… we think you've passed our test."

'WHAT?' My character shattered into a million pieces. I've always become somewhat reclusive when lonely, it's like Giratina knew exactly what to say to break me out of that behavior.

"Speak, Zekrom" Giratina moved closer, each step rattling the pillars. "It's easy, just form a word with your mouth. It really is that easy."

Giratina turned his head a little bit in thought "...or you could use telepathy. Though we only really use it for humans."

I gave a firm nod as I took a deep breath and cleared my throat. "Garrrboder….. Trrrubish….."

"Good, that's good enough." Giratina said. "You didn't harm a single human or get angry. And the fact you even kept control in this body…"

Giratina shut his eyes in further thought then spoke the words "you weren't supposed to be alive, you're not normal."

"I don't want to join you guys, just turn me back." I focused my eyes into his, trying to not look away or blink.

"Hm, really? I would have thought any smart human would like to join us."

"I don't care!" I raised my voice, my tone slowly morphed into rage and a hint of agony. "I've stayed like this for long enough! I just-"

"What will you have?" Giratina interrupted me, his eyes back open and his tone straight. "Your mind will still be filled with self hatred and the thoughts of your own demise. We can help fix that, even if it takes a millennia."

"You reek of manipulation, why should I trust somebody who deceived me? And why do you think you know me at all?" I turned around, fully prepared to leave him in the dust.

"It's interesting to see how much of your own you've kept. you've inherited his instincts, but nothing of his personality."

The dust around me started to vibrate as my tail generator flared to life once again. But I held off on leaving immediately, since I knew he would have something to say.

"If you don't let us be your ally, then we would have to seal you in the Dark Stone. And That's not a fate I would wish on a mind as mortal as yours, your body is legendary but your mind hasn't caught up. It would destroy you if it was a long time."

My tail stopped whirring as I straightened my back and turned around to meet his gaze. The air around me refused to settle, it seemed to get heavier in fact.

"The what stone?" I said in a confused tone. If I was going to be stuck in this body, I had to know as much as I could about myself.

"Well you see, long ago you regularly slumbered in the stone. And you're trapped until a human with strong ideals summons you. And In this stage of the world? It's going to be a long, long time my friend."

My eyes widened and my body suddenly tensed. Would my whole body just be squished into that stone? Is it like a pokeball? That was probably the worst experience ever, I can't do that for an indescribable amount of years!

"I'll… join you guys, okay? But don't make me follow some stupid orders, I just want to be left alone."

"We will respect that, and you can do whatever you like. Just NEVER purposely harm the humans, do you have that clear in your mind?" Giratina oddly growled the word NEVER.

"Thank you, and goodbye" I said in an empty tone, I knew I wanted to say something something but I just couldn't properly get the words out

"Wait…so, what happened with Palkia? That bomb I got saved her, right?"

"That is none of your business, you know that don't you?" Giratina said harshly, he clearly wanted to just leave and go do his own things.

"I just thought that if-" I'm rudely cut off by Giratina fading into the ground. Becoming the black goop just like how he came in.

"Wait! Get back here, you —!" I yell towards the black tar-like substance receding into the ground like a puddle on a warm day.

I was alone again, I had to get my mind off of that fact.

'Well if I don't have to leave, I guess I can finally take a peek at this satchel.' I slinged the satchel to my chest and opened it, dumping the contents out on my hand.

There was one thing that stood out to me past the drawings and the little snacks she put in. It was some sort of heavy white stone, it even had a little line from the top until the middle, where it diverged into 2 seperate lines.

'It looks so familiar, I've seen something like this in my father's notes. I'm sure I have at least read about this though.'

I put the stone back into the satchel and observed the other items I was given. A few of those treats that were in that box that was brought in, the drawings, a bar of white chocolate, and… a slip of paper with the word Thank you on it.

I stared into the distance, many times have I just gotten time to think? Sure I'm stressed more than ever before but when am I not?

It could always be worse.

I could be dead. Wait, am I dead? I mean I'm here now and that's all that matters.

'Now would be the perfect time for me to get interrupted and be dragged along someplace, but luckily for me he's become more competent at this… only a bit'

'I guess I finally have time to try these treats, they smelled so good in that box.' I brought the food up to my face and tossed it into my mouth.

'Wow! This is…" I stumbled backwards from the edge and landed directly on my ass

"The raspberry filling! With the white chocolate bits and brown sugar mixed with the batter…… It's like Arceus itself made it so I could taste every individual ingredient!"

I realized I was practically yelling at nobody and I quickly quiet down, I was supposed to be on my way to Unova anyway.

Then it hit me

The sugar was too sweet, and I could taste every individual sugar crystal assaulting my throat and taste buds.

'I hate sweet things, why did it taste so good for a second? Why did I even try to enjoy it?' I put a hand on my head and softly smacked it in shame, but I accidentally cut myself slightly. A bit of glistening blood trickles onto my hand, reminding myself of my weird baseball glove like claws.

"I'm tired of this… I j-just…" Every pillar of my mental fortitude that was left started to collapse. I Was a legendary, an absolute force of nature.

Here I was, having some sort of crisis on top of a mountain, alone at that.

Alone, how many times will I be alone, isolated alone Alone ALONE

My eyes glistened and my vision blurred as I felt the howling wind suddenly cease, like it was taunting me.

It was a pretty cold day today. The clouds were shining and luckily, the sun was shielding me from the beating moon.

I walked into my first period class at school on a pretty average Thursday morning and put my coat on the hanger next to my locker.

"Ugh, did I really have to get history class first period?" I said as I scoot past the other students and plopped myself in a seat in the back.

The students around me rambled on about the latest update to Pokenite, something about how a black hole was stuck on their screen when the game opened. I already had my night planned out and it was going to be Glorious when I got home.

Yeah, my mom's getting me a new Pokemon! She works as an elite four member for the Sinnoh League so she gets to handle really special kinds of Pokemon. There was this time she had to bring a Garchomp home for a few nights because its trainer was out of the region to go to some event in Unova.

My daydreams were interrupted by the arrival of my Teacher. "Class…! CLASS!" She yelled in a pissed off voice, The shouting of the class quieted down, but not fully.

"What's so funny, Dom?" I bounced my leg up and down as a faint smile was plastered on my face. My mind was totally elsewhere, on the topic of my new Pokemon.

"DOM!" I was jolted from my daydream as a red hue was present on my face from embarrassment. "You're here to learn math, young man!"

Forevermore,

How could he know this new dawn's light would change him forever?

Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me

See your mother

Put to death

Far above the moon

Planet Earth is blue

And there's nothing I can do

Why can I forgive me?

I unknowingly shuffled towards the edge. The stone beneath me cracked with each heavy and unbalanced step. My mind was scrambled, it felt as if something in my brain was attempting to scramble old memories.

I could still remember everything perfectly fine, but there's so many other things going on now that's making me cognitively shutdown.

My fear, my anger, my regret, my grief. It's all been thrown into the flames to burn, but that makes the fire burn even hotter and seep further into my consciousness.

I opened my eyes to witness myself on the edge of Spear Pillar. I quickly stomped on the edge to plant myself to the ground and I slowly backed away.

'No, I'm not doing this. I need to focus! I'm going, right now. but Arceus I feel so tired, I never got more than an hour of sleep a day in that place.'

I took a deep breath and began to focus my energy into flight once again and rose up into the air. My tail generating this much electricity was finally starting to feel natural, I could even feel my head filtering out each useless thought and only having me think of ones that helped in the moment.

As I was soaring through the air I started to think of what I would do when I even got to Unova.

'Maybe I could play electricity like a guitar and do something with that bit of music theory I decided to learn a few years back.'

'Or maybe I could just make some friends? The feeling of helping others was practically a week's worth of joy now in this body, at least from my experience with that woman.'

'Maybe I could even start acting in some movies? I'm almost guaranteed to get a mountain of roles. Actually, seeing the same face in every movie is bound to get boring. That one Pokemon recently who landed all those roles is a prime example of Why that's a bad idea.'

'Okay… what if I opened up an orphanage? I like working with children, and I could probably give them a better childhood than the one I got dealt.'

'… I land in the middle of a city, and then I announce my arrival! Everyone probably knows already that I'm around so it shouldn't go bad.'

Im going to take a small break from writing this fic.

I need a break from writing something so dark (I've written outlines of lots of chapters before this so I've written more than you think) I'm going to start a new fic based off of what I originally wanted to do, lower stakes, less trauma, and more heart.

And of course it'll be in Unova and have Reshiram and Zekrom. (I can't get away from those 2 lol)

So I've written 2 chapters so far of my new fic but I'm aiming for completing the whole prologue before I release it, so about 3-5 chapters.

So basically, it takes place after BW2 and the effects of Neo Team Plasma still linger. And there's 2 main protagonists I want to use.

1. A 16-17 year old boy (not too sure on the age or name but definitely a teenager) He's an indie film creator trying to create a documentary on both team plasma incidents to raise awareness for how Team Plasma brainwashed hundreds of people into joining them, like his parents.

2. ....... I've only written the part for the guy so far so im not too sure on what to do for this character. I'm thinking journalist but that's too similar to what I have the first character doing.

Of course I'll keep writing Through The Never in the future , but expect it to return with the writing revamped since I don't want to use first person anymore.
