This is a world of parahumans. Of heroes and villains, of capes and capers.I'm sure many of you already know it very well.

It is not a pleasant world.

Sure, people get by, but they have to deal with the constant threat of powerful beings that could easily destroy their very lives.

The Endbringers. The Slaughterhouse Nine. The Three Blasphemies.

And you.

Though you aren't much right now. You're weak, still growing.

But you won't stay that way.

Oh no. You could grow to be one of the most powerful beings in the world. You might even be the one to end it.

You are:

Sooo… I finally made a quest. My first one, so please, give me some feedback.

Write-ins should have potential to grow in power. You'll probably start temporarily weakened, no matter what you are. After all, escalation is one of the main motifs in Worm.

Keep in mind that you are NOT here to fix this world. You are very much a Villain Protagonist.

Additional character generation (starting abilities/traits) will follow this vote.

Abilities

Magical
  • Fate Unbound
    • Your magical nature makes it harder for precogs to predict your actions. Doesn't stop combat precog, and stronger precogs will still be able to guess your future, though not precisely.
  • Improved Fate Unbound
    • Your magical nature is growing more disruptive. Weaker pre-cog effects will not see you, and stronger pre-cogs will have an even harder time predicting your future. Stops weaker combat pre-cog effects outright, like danger sense.
  • Sun-Linked
    • You are partially linked to the sun, and get energy from it. You can become fully charged by spending a few hours in direct natural sunlight. This is slowed when it's night time or when inside, but still active as long as you can sense the sun.
  • Improved Power Capacity
    • You're like that rabbit, the one that keeps going and going and going and.... But really, your magic reserves are bigger, meaning you can fight considerably longer.
  • Danmaku, Basic
    • This danmaku doesn't take much magic to use. However, it is very weak, using force that only effects living things. Can knock baseline humans out after a couple hits, but stronger enemies can just shrug it off. In addition, the bullets move fairly slow and can be dodged. Danmaku is inherently non-lethal, so even if you blast someone unconscious, they won't get killed. Spell cards not included, just bullet spam.
  • Danmaku, Moderate
    • More bullet spam. Your opponents will either need a lot of skill or a mover rating to dodge this. Even then, they might get grazed, and eventually worn down. Also, it can now affect stronger enemies, and takes less hits to knock someone out.

Body
  • Youkai Physiology
    • Your nature makes you immune to most ailments that would effect normal humans. In addition, you are a bit stronger and tougher than baseline humans.
  • Improved Youkai Physiology
    • You are immune to all human disease, and are much more resistant to poisons. In addition, you no longer need oxygen to breathe, just air or fire. Hurray for not asphyxiating yourself with your own fire!
  • Youkai Strength - Flip and throw cars, punch through concrete walls, and overpower gangs of mooks! You're pretty strong, for a bird. Also includes toughness to boot, enough to make you pretty resistant to medium-caliber bullets, as well as most melee weapons (unless tinkertech or backed by superstrength).
  • Raven Wings
    • You have wings. They let you fly. Yay!
  • Raven Form
    • You can turn into your raven form and back.
  • Improved Speed
    • You move significantly (twice to three times) faster than normal. Yay improved mover rating! In the air, you easily surpass the fastest of mundane birds.
  • Regeneration (Basic)
    • You regenerate cuts, bruises, burns and the like remarkably quickly. You can typically regenerate any minor to moderate wounds in a day or two, but you won't regenerate a crippled/severed limb or something. Unlocks Regeneration (Moderate).

Power
  • Pyromancy
    • Your natural affinity for fire lets you make it. You can launch smallish fireballs (about 5 ft diameter) and create small blasts of flame. You have a degree of control over your own fire. In addition, you are highly resistant to all fire, and immune to your own.
  • Improved Pyromancy
    • Your pyromancy is starting to come back to you. Yay fire! You can now launch larger fireballs (about 10 ft. Diameter). Alternatively, you can create swaths of fire like a big flamethrower. Required for Advanced Pyromancy.
  • Control Rod
    • Your mighty Control Rod allows you to blast foes with Explosive or Fire powers. Without exerting yourself, you can blast someone with concussive force, the equivalent of a heavy punch. Or, ya'know, just shoot them with fireballs. Able to shrink into a bracelet.
  • Improved Fire Control
    • You have better control over your fire. You are able to move it and shape it (Fire walls, pillar of flame, etc). In addition, you are able to exert control over mundane fires, as well.
  • Basic Radiation Control
    • Can do smaller-scale manipulation of radiation, including reducing it, creating it, and moving it around. Useful for curing people of radiation sickness, or at least stopping it from getting worse.

Open to suggestions/ideas, if you want something, ask for it. I'm kinda lazy in updating it myself.

Should be somewhat related to what you have, though.

Magical

10 - Danmaku, Advanced - Like standing in the rain, without getting wet. Literal curtains of bullets are now spammed, even skilled Movers would be hard pressed to dodged. However, if they last for a little while, they might be able to work out the bullet patterns... until they change with a Spell Card thrown in. Requires Danmaku, Moderate.

4 - Danmaku Collateral Damage - Well, it's supposed to be nonlethal, but you're deliberately overcharging the bullets. For a small power cost, the bullets will start to leave tiny impact craters. With a decent bit of bullet spam, you could probably bring down walls or even buildings. Though it might start to leave bruises on people as the energy dissipates, it's still unlikely to kill them.

8 - Danmaku Lethality - It kinda goes against the point of having a non-lethal option to make it deadly, ya'know? But I guess if you wanted to kill a bunch of mooks without fire, you can now. Your bullets are now overcharged above safe levels, and will now leave tiny impact craters in anything, including people. Make a whole lot of people look like Swiss cheese! Might be ineffective against those with high damage resistance. Requires Danmaku, Moderate and Danmaku Collateral Damage.

8 - Unnatural Flames - You can pump magic directly into fire to make it supernaturally hotter, and able to melt things that wouldn't otherwise be melt-able, like asbestos or fire-resistant superheroes.



Body

8 - Ogre Strength - Did you eat one in the past? Because you have their strength. Use a semi as an oversized club, and tank rifles and small explosions with ease.

6 - Regeneration (Moderate) - Recovering after a fight is fully doable, so long as you survive it. You can recover lost limbs over a couple weeks of rest. If you expend some energy, you can even heal fast enough to recover small wounds during fights!

Power

10 - Advanced Pyromancy - You can now create large swathes of flame, enough to quickly cover a building in fire. In addition, fire you create is hot enough to do things like melt steel beams.

6 - Advanced Fire Control - You're good enough at controlling fires that you can do complex things like make multiple fire whips or split jets of flame to not hit certain people. In addition, all natural/mundane fire leaps to your command, and you can challenge those with pyrokinesis over control of their flames.

10 - Advanced Radiation Manipulation - Time for the funner stuff. You can emit an aura of radiation that will slowly disrupt electronics, and give people cancer within a year or two. Alternatively, if you focus you could give someone a lethal dose of radiation, causing them to quickly fall sick and die, or scramble delicate electronics very quickly.

Eating people for powers seems fun. If we aren't anchored to Taylor, we could even do so without Moral hangups.

A Prototype without being constrained by morals? Can you say lots of powers, lots of evolutions, Hives everywhere! All the problems with getting stronger we had in Dana Quest, GONE.

Not to mention no real limits to our abilities!

We can get all the powers we want, without worrying about the user being a hero!

If anything, I'd say that the Prototype has the greatest potential in terms of evolving in power, and doing damage. We can leave a Hive in one state and attack some place and absorb a town in another. Plus, all it takes is starting a Hive to get a crapton of Biomass for evolution.

My second thing is a reference to Rochelle, whose a spider witch in a certain Quest by Chibi-Reaper that ended before its time.
