[ ] She would make her successor a song of the early chill, the cold snap in spring, the cold that surprises and reaps the unprepared, a thing as much of wind as cold. (+2 Expression XP, Sets the Successor toward themes of Anti-Perception and Motion.)
This option is an interesting one since it builds on Zeqing's ambush predator motif and ties in well with Ling Qi's stealth skills. It develops Ling Qi's techniques demonstrated in the group battle of the 1st year tournament and would emphasise those techniques for the future.
[ ] She would make her successor a song of deep winter, the cold that cannot be banished without hearth and kin, a thing of purest dark and cold. (+2 Expression XP. Sets the Successor themes toward Persistence and Power.)
This feels like it is the option most true to Zeqing and Ling Qi as it focuses on Zeqing's identity as the heart of the blizzard, and the Ling Qi's traditional combat approach of grinding down her opponents before ending them. The persistence approach to combat is well established in the narrative and providing mechanical support for that would be helpful imo.
[ ] She would make her successor a song of the years ending, the cold that puts the old world to sleep, that it may be born anew in the spring flooding, a thing of waters and rebirth. (+2 Expression XP, sets Successor themes toward Purification and Renewal)
I feel this option is really out of place - Ling Qi is heading towards this type of theme, but she still has a huge distance to travel to get there. Additionally, this feels like a totally new art, rather than a refinement of Frozen Soul Serenade. This option also feels like it is a total rejection of Zeqing, which seems very out of place given our choice to create the successor art on the anniversary of Zeqing's passing.
