Hm, I'm tempted to power-move with the third option, but I have been stuck in too many frustrating conversations with people who didn't make disengaging easy.

Ling Qi is a deep-not-broad relationship person, too, and entering a convo where we're more confident would probably help Xia Lin find her confidence too.

I think trying to be unbias and play the role we are to be playing here seems more safe an option then imidietly going to our only contact here. On the other hand going to greet the most powerfull here (golden field, Luo...) would be the right choice, if this was somewhat real gathering, this would be the right choice. But we are in Cultivator land so who knows.

I would say 3. is the socialy safe option, 1. is the play your hand option, 2. is the try to play the game option.

Also since we go the sincirity, in our socialyzing strategy, playing our whole hand right away could be actualy good. So..

[X] It's important to keep up with the biggest players. Make your way to the Luo attendee and chat a bit about history and current events, perhaps speaking to the Golden Fields as well about their own problems in the south.

After further thought, I realized I wasn't factoring Xia Lin into the subsequent scene, and that was a mistake.

Both the Luo and Golden Fields in general have a martial bent, and Xia Lin can actually potentially co tribute to that. As part of the inner Renxiang circle, developing her character identity is also an important objective.

And as funny as it is tricking her into thinking Ling Qi knows what she's doing with option 1, I'd more like to see Xia Lin contributing constructively.
