Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
I am sure that people have already talked about this, but I am really looking forward to caveing. Ling's arts are really well suited towards it. See though walls and teleport anywhere she can see. Also able to set up a kill zone.

Oh no. This could be bad.

Yeah, Ling Qi and Ji Rong don't have any beef, but you can be damn sure that he and Xuan Shi do.

Are we going to have to play peace maker for the entire expedition? You just know that Ji Rong is going to start some shit and Xuan Shi isn't going to back down in front of the cute girl he's trying to impress.

This is going to be a disaster. I can't wait.

Her divination arts also allow for some pretty good scouting and ambush negation.

This is going to be so much fun. So many great characters we haven't seen in a long while, on an expedition to the underworld. I'm hyped.

Now that our wisp can go to very far range Harmony of the Dancing Wind is somewhat redundant as a adventuring art for us. It is a great social art, but we should look into learning more combat focused art that uses the same Meridians: Head x3, Heart x2.

I could not find anything in our unlearned arts. Many that do Head or Heart, but none that do both.

Edit: Actually might make more sense to switch in out Harmony of the Dancing Winds for Argent Mirror or Argent Current when adventuring. It isn't the best art for it, but it almost uses the same Meridians and it is more on task then Harmony of the Dancing Winds.

Its going to end with Ling Qi carrying everyone on her back with her huge arms, and ripped sleeves dangling artfully behind her.

In more serious topics, is Ling the most experienced troop commander in the squad? We've been traning group tactics and war for a while now, idk if anyone else has the same hands on experience?

The commanders are likely to be older inner disciples, or even a core disciple.

As for Ling Qi, she has been training group tactics in good parts because she is coming very late to them compared to other people. Ji Rong is likely the same here, but Xuan Shi or other people coming with are likely to be much better than Ling Qi.

There is also precisely 0% chance the sect is going to put Xuan Shi in a subordinate position to Ling Qi.

I expect it will be sorted by sect rank.

I expect we get a core disciple as overall leader for our group and depending on the size of the group, maybe even older inner sect disciples as sub-leaders.

mhm, who do you think is more likely: Gu Yanmei or Guan Zhi?

Out of those two, I would expect Gu Yanmei to be a much better choice for going down into the depths. She seems to have some sort of purity thing going on, and that should play out very well against the things that crawl beneath the earth.

But she also has a Sun theme, maybe going underground will be actively bad for her.

I thought the corruption down there was worse for people with higher cultivation? That is why they are sending us.

I wonder what our domain will do to ji Rong since it's directly tied to our bonds with people and he's in the negative for that, our ghosts are gonna be giving him the stink eye if nothing worse happens to him

I'm quite interested in seeing Ji Rong in a more friendly scenario. He is a very fascinating character and up until now there hasn't been any opportunity for interaction that wasn't hostile or brief due to the distaste the two have for each other.

Seeing the parallels between them come into contrast during prolonged exposure and cooperation will create some good opportunities to show his personality in more depth and to have Ling Qi consider the meaning behind the differences between the two of them.
