An AU SI-OC Sasuke fic that starts after Sasuke kills Orochimaru. Semi crack fic.

"I died and ended up a wandering soul. Thanks to the Sage of Six Paths I'm now in the body of Sasuke Uchiha with some benefits, those being the nonsense of Six Paths abilities. But I find myself in a world different than expected, where rasengans kill and people walk when they shouldn't. Lucky for me that these eyes will be all I need to survive."
Chapter 1
"How can this be? I created this universe. This is my own space!" A pale man shouted in shock and disbelief as he was attacked by his own dark snakes.

"Try all the Jutsu you wish. But my eyes." A young man said but was interrupted.

"No! I will not allow this to happen. This will not happen to me. Especially not here!" Orochimaru screamed in denial.

"You should've known better than to assume that your will could overcome mine, Orochimaru. Now witness your reckoning." Sasuke admonished while standing with the snakes he turned against their master.

'How dare he turn this ritual against me. Damn that brat. Damn him straight to hell! Tsk, it appears I have no other options. Well, if I am to die then I'll make sure that I'll drag Sasuke with me. And here I thought this part of the ritual was unnecessary, of course, that was made with Sarutobi-sensei in mind.' Orochimaru thought.

"It seems that the end is nigh. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll have plenty of company in hell. Itachi will be joining you soon enough." Sasuke gloated.

Orochimaru chuckled, a sound that would normally terrify most Jonin and ANBU, but in this instance came out as rasping and weezy.

"Even now you still utter that annoying laugh. Has your madness fallen even further?"

"Well no. It's just that if I'm going to hell then it won't be Itachi that'll be keeping me company." The Sannin taunted now that he held the advantage.

"How so? Your world is falling apart at the seams. There is nothing you can do now." The Uchiha asked.

"That's where you are wrong."

Right at the moment where Orochimaru was almost consumed by Sasuke's will, something happened.

The world was disintegrating.

"What did you do!" Sasuke shouted, his calm and assured sense of victory broken by this development.

"All you had to do was simply step aside and let me take your body Sasuke. At least then I would've killed Itachi for you and completed my goals. Now unfortunately because of you none of that is happening. Now we'll both die. Well, temporarily in my case." Orochimaru said, relishing in his new found victory.

"If you think I'll let you get away with this then think again!"

"Soon you won't be thinking at all. Once the disintegration effect is complete there will be nothing left of this world. You will either die or be trapped, falling in an abyss for eternity."

"Won't the same happen to you too!"

"Of course not. You aren't the only person with my curse mark. Once I 'die', so to speak, I will awake once again and live on."

"No."

"Kukukuku! No! Kukukuku! I'm sorry Sasuke but denial will do nothing here. Prepare for the end." Orochimaru gloated, enjoying the look of despair on the Uchiha's face.

"I refuse! I REFUSE!"

'Looks like Sasuke can't handle the cold truth. No matter, it's best to savor-What!' This time it was Orochimaru's sense of victory that was shattered.

"Impossible! It can't be!"

Tears of blood now fall from Sasuke's face as his Sharingan morphs into something. That something being the Mangekyou Sharingan.

"If I'm dying then I'm sure as hell not doing so without taking you with me!" As he said this he ran to Orochimaru who was still trapped in the fleshy substance that made up the dying world. "Amaterasu!" the Uchiha exclaimed.

'Amaterasu was Itachi's Jutsu, how can it be that Sasuke has it too!' It was becoming harder to think over the agony of being afflicted both by having his soul being destroyed and the black fire eating at him 'No matter, all this means is that I'll be out of here soon enough.'

'Wait a minute. I can feel the Amaterasu, yes, however, I'm also feeling it distantly somehow.'

"My neck!" A woman with purple hair cried out as a mark on her neck caught on fire.

"WHAT DID YOU DO!" The Snake Sannin's worry turned into panic when could no longer sense his Curse Marks.

"It seems that the hellfire of Amaterasu consumes all, and in here, even the soul."

"H-how… HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!"

"It's simple. The power of the Uchiha transcends all other, even your very being can not compare to the power of the Mangekyou Sharingan! How fitting that what you have obsessed over be your very downfall.

'No...dammit all. It can't end like this. I was to receive everything…..'

"...don't forget, Mangekyou or no you cannot survive. I'll...be...seeing..you..s-soon Sasuke Uchih…..ha" These were the last words Orochimaru has ever spoken. So erased his soul has been by Amaterasu that he will not even appear in the Pure World, all that awaits the Sannin is oblivion.

'Heh. I finally have the same eyes as you, Itachi. But what good is it now that I'll be gone soon. I hate to admit it but my only hope for revenge falls on you, Naruto. I hope you can forgive me for the pain I left you and Sakura.'

'Uncle, Auntie, Shisui, Mother, Father, I hope that you and the rest of the clan can forgive me for failing to avenge you. But at least I can see you all again.'

With the last thought of Sasuke Uchiha passed, the world where Orochimaru used to steal the souls of countless others has come to an end, along with its final inhabitant.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Once I finally regained consciousness the first thing that took my notice was the ache I'm feeling in my everything. It felt like I fell off a roller coaster going at max speed. Except rather than that it was by having my very soul grabbed, spun a bit, and thrown in a scene reminiscent of BT throwing Cooper to only God knows where. Literally in that case with that son of a rabbit bitch aka the Sage of Six Paths being the one who threw me. Turns out that the whole talk with the ninja God and being put in the body of Sasuke Uchiha with all of the nonsense that was the Six Paths Chakra thing wasn't just a dream.

Oh God, I've been put in an isekai. Let's ignore the thoughts that'd lead to an existential crisis or focus on the sadness of losing my previous life and just focus on the adventure I'm sure to have here.

The pain was pretty bad but thankfully something took my mind off it, the smell. Like holy shit why does it smell like rotting animals?

*squish

A quick look at the floor answered that question. Turns out I stepped in the remains of Orochimaru's snake form thing. Ew ew ew ew! The worst part was that I had sandals on so I could feel this stuff on my toes, all slimy and squishy and shit. Even while dead that fucker makes me disgusted. Yuck.

Whatever, my main priority should be getting the hell out of here. This was one of Orochimaru's hideouts and it's sure to be full of nasty shit, said shit likely to break free once they realize that the boss ain't around. Although that shouldn't be an issue with who I am and what I could do, I really do not want to get into a fight right now, especially not when I just got this body.

Sure Sasuke at this point of time was well above the level of any experiment here, and the extra power ups I've gotten would trivialize anything this place has to offer but those power ups drains a lot of chakra that I can't use right now, needing to let the new chakra settle in, and would get a lot of the wrong attention. And no amount of Itachi looking out for his brother will stop Pain, Obito, or Zetsu from dealing with a threat to their plans.

Oh, and speaking of threats to plans, there's Kabuto.

Hold up, I don't see grey hair near the door. What happened to Kabuto?

—-

A conversation was being held at the ramen place Naruto liked so much. Right now he was finishing up his story of how his trip to find the new Hokage went.

"And you know that Kabuto guy from the Chunin Exams right, turns out he was with Snake face the whole time!" Naruto said, continuing a story he was telling. A nod of the head was Sasuke's reply.

"So I catch him beating on Granny Tsunade and I step in cuz I'm awesome like that. He got a few hits in, I'll admit it, and said some crap about dreams or whatever. Then while he's distracted I hit 'em with the Rasengan that I mastered, the same Jutsu that the Fourth Hokage used! You should've seen his face! …and the mess." Naruto excitedly said before it died off when he remembered this Rasengan jutsu's aftermath.

'I hadn't seen him get so somber since Wave.' He thought.

"Didn't Tsunade rant about you almost throwing up on her, and then I quote, 'using your face as a mop'" The Toad Sannin butt in adding a part of the story Naruto left out.

A chuckle escaped his lips with the thought of his teammate in such a position. Said action got the attention of Naruto and Jiraiya as this was the first time they heard him chuckle today.

The laughter of his Sensei and his rival seemed to tick Naruto off even further. First he turned to Jiraiya. "I said I was sorry, jeez! She didn't need to say something so gross." Then he turned his head in my direction. "And you shouldn't be laughing at me! When I become Hokage I'll make you the janitor of my office, believe it!"

Before Sasuke could reply and possibly set off an argument Jiraiya interrupted with his comment. "Kid you're lucky! The things I'd do to get Tsunade to use me like a mop, you don't even want to know!" The suddenly perverted old man said with a lecherous giggle.

'He was right, I don't want to know. What was with Konoha and having its strong shinobi being so perverted or so strange?'

"I think I heard Sakura calling for me, I'll see you later Naruto." He decided he had enough of this conversation and left to do something better with his time.

"Sasuke! Don't leave me with him!" Naruto cried over whatever nonsense the Toad Sage was shamelessly speaking.

'Heh. This is what you get for thinking you could make a janitor out of me Naruto.' With that he made his way to the Uchiha compound to get some training in and improve his Chidori.

Huh. So the Rasengan actually kills people.

Well shit.

(Hello! Some of you may or may not recognize this fic from other sites. I recently made an account here and figured that I'd post some of my fics here as well. I won't upload all the chapters at once but if you want to read ahead, this can also be found on FFN, AO3, and SB. I hope you guys like it and leave me your thoughts. )

Chapter 2
Huh. So the Rasengan kills people.

Well shit.

—-

Ok, I'm now Sasuke Uchiha. But rather than waking up in regular Naruto, I've woken up in a world where Rasengans kill people.

By that logic that would mean fire kills people. And Sasuke was pretty good with fire. Especially with Amaterasu, the fire Jutsu that activates on sight.

Ok, this doesn't sound so bad anymore. Considering that at this point Sasuke was above a good majority of common ninjas that Amaterasu should take care of them provided they weren't too fast. And with how often people liked to talk I could just light their insides on fire. Plus I had an Eternal Mangekyou so that means I could spam it as much as Obito does and not worry about going blind.

Plus I had the fucking Rinnegan now, only the top-tier ninjas could kill me!

*slap*

No! Bad me! Don't get overconfident. Yes, I had one of the most broken pairs of eyes but that doesn't mean I'm no longer human. At this point, I don't have enough chakra to properly use the Rinnegan and not get incapacitated worse than Kakashi was. And I'm still vulnerable to poison and toxins even if Orochimaru gave Sasuke a degree of resistance, so Sasori or Chiyo could kill me.

Now I just need to sit down and think. As the lack of Kabuto and my memory revealed, this world is not the same as canon. Based on current events or so Kabuto is dead and was replaced (Sasuke killed the replacement before going for Orochimaru so he didn't matter), that Dosu guy from the Chunin Exam and Guren are in Otogakure running the place in the Snake's absence, and surprisingly that training trip Naruto went on wasn't useless.

At our last meeting, he was actually doing a far better job against Sasuke than in canon. Exploding shadow clones were a terrifying thing to deal with in Naruto's hands and Sasuke almost resorted to Kirin but luckily Orochimaru stopped anything nasty from going on. Though I doubt Naruto will be happy the next time I see him since the Sannin used Sakura as a hostage to get him to back off.

But the fact stands that if Naruto got stronger then that means that he and Jiraiya weren't hindered by the canon's plot. Naruto actually matured and learned. I don't care how many people complained about it, I'm honestly thankful he still wanted to bring me back as a friend rather than treat me like the criminal Sasuke was. Ooh maybe I could play it off as mission to assassinate Orochimaru and get his secrets, that outta piss Danzo off hehe.

If I'm lucky then Naruto can get me back to the village in a state other than a body bag or stuck in Danzo's dungeon. Assuming I'd want to go there anyway.

So I have a place to go if all I wanted to do was get the hell outta here. Once there I could just spill the beans on Akatsuki and the other puppet masters, and then live a life of luxury that comes with running a clan.

But I can't just do that. There's things to do outside of Konoha. It'd be a dick move to just leave Suigetsu here, plus Sasuke did promise to set him free. If I don't eventually he'll get out and might have a bone to pick with me. Not a threat but would be annoying to deal with.

If I leave Jugo he might starve to death or get kidnapped and used for his Curse Mark, I doubt Orochimaru is the only one looking into Sage chakra. Could be a potential disaster if someone got further than Orochimaru did and mass-produced it.

And if I just leave Karin in prison, she might get pissed off that I never came for her, and I'd lose a loyal subordinate.

Then there's the brother of the year I gotta deal with. Hopefully, I can get him to cut it out with his shit and sick him on Obito. Probably via guilt tripping him about killing our family and leaving me to deal with Madara on my own. (You know about Izanagi, why did you think that failsafe would work?) And while I'd like Kisame to help with that, I doubt it. As much as Kisame and Itachi were bros, I'm sure he's on Obito's side until I can prove the Moon plan is full of shit. But I'd have no problem offing either if I had to.

Ideally, I could just hide and wait for my chakra to stabilize and then curbstomp the problems away but I don't know how long that would take and I might miss something important that I could've impacted.

My "safest" option until I can access all of my abilities would be to follow Sasuke's plan after killing Orochimaru, which shouldn't be too hard since I know what worked and what didn't and despite losing the Curse Mark, it was made up for by having my new chakra.

So my basic plan for now, unless I decide otherwise, is to get team Taka together, make sure Otogakure won't be an issue later on, cash in Orochimaru's head to Konoha and tell Jiraiya and Tsunade everything about Akatsuki via Orochimaru's knowledge, also try to get Danzo killed via connection with the Sannin and just ripping off the bandages, then bring Naruto and Sakura along to deal with Itachi and hopefully kill Zetsu and or Obito there, then deal with the Akatsuki, and once all of that is done then hopefully the world is saved and we won't have to deal with the Otsustski or whatever else Boruto has. Again, I should take a bit to think about it and revise if needed.

Using Sasuke's memories I find where Suigetsu is being held. A room full of pods, this place was giving me some Star Wars vibes.

"It's you. I knew you'd come." Suigetsu says in his pod. "You being here means you killed Orochimaru."

"Absolutely wrong, Suigetsu." I say in Orochimaru's voice, fucking around with my tongue to mimic what he did. The Hozuki's face turns from a grin to a look of shock. "I completely erased Orochimaru so thoroughly that not even his Curse Marks can bring him back."

"Tch. Did you need to say it like that? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" And that look of shock turned into indignation.

"Yes. The look on your face was rather amusing." I said with a smirk. "But enough of that, let's get you outta here." Despite me never holding a sword before in my old life, my body pulled it out and slashed as if I was just cutting butter. Good to see that I wouldn't have to relearn all of these reflexes. And like a dramatic swordsman, the water only came forth after I sheaved my sword.

As the water drains it's revealed that Suigetsu is no longer there. And that means he's on the floor.

"Free at last. Thank you, Sasuke."

"No problem. Now as a favor for freeing you I have something I'd like to ask."

"Oh sure, what is it?"

To that, I simply motion for him to follow me. As we walked to the room I first woke up in this world Suigetsu quickly took notice of the body on the floor.

"I always knew the guy was a freak but this is just something else. Now, what was that favor you were talking about."

"That favor is you sealing the body up."

"What. Any reason why you can't do it."

"It's disgusting and I don't want to catch whatever disease this might give me. And after you seal the body and I'll bring it into a bounty station, Orochimaru's head has the highest bounty a man could have, especially in Konoha." I say, hiding the real reason why I don't just do it myself. I'm not fucking around with seals, even one as simple as storage scrolls with my chakra as it is.

"Fine, but that makes us even for you letting me out of the tank. I'm free of that prison at last, and that means I'm free to do whatever I wanna do." Suigetsu says, enjoying his taste of freedom.

"But first we're gonna have to talk about what we do now." He then says dropping the happy tone. And here's the moment where Suigetsu does his intimidation thing with his finger on my head. I like most normal people would be freaking the hell out if they had a gun to their head but I wasn't normal anymore, I now had Sasuke's memories with the experience and they're telling me how I could get out of this, working with his own experiences and the ones I had of Suigetsu and his weaknesses.

"It's pretty simple. I'd like you to come along with me, you help me out and I help you. But if you feel like you'd rather not then I'm not going to force anything. Now could you please go get some clothes, I'm flattered that you'd want to be this close to me but I'm not interested." I don't have plot armor or are in a state to get into a fight right now, best to let Suigetsu choose what he wants to do. He wasn't too important in the grand scheme of things after all. Not to mention, he was uncomfortably close.

"Huh. Well, I was kidding with that so don't take it too personally. And I'm not interested either. Now I'm gonna go find some clothes that aren't contaminated from whatever stuff Orochimaru's been doing in here." He lets go of me with a pat on the back and heads off to find some clothes.

"Don't take too long, I'm planning on burning this place. Making sure that nothing in here comes back to bite me in the ass."

A distant "yeah" lets me know that I was heard. I turn to the monster parts of Orochimaru that we left on the floor. Sure I had confirmation from the Sage himself that Orochimaru wouldn't be a problem at all but there's nothing stopping someone crazy from injecting the remains ala Kabuto, and there's no fucking way I'm having a repeat of that.

But I can't just throw around jutsu that I haven't done before. Yes, the body has the memory but it's better safe than sorry. I close my eyes to concentrate on my chakra, something very easy to notice since it's a feeling I've never had before. But from this body's memories, it was vastly different. Physically it was the same but obviously the spirit had changed. Not to mention having the body get used to Hagoromo's chakra and this Spark thing he said I had. Luckily for me, my chakra was stable enough for me to use basic jutsu. I then slowly perform the necessary hand signs.

Horse, serpent, ram, monkey, boar, horse, and finally tiger. I bring my hands to my mouth and blow fire from my mouth onto the corpse and the rest of the room, setting them on fire.

Holy shit! I just did a Jutsu! Rather basic in this world, yes I know. But as a person from a world where shit like this was only possible in various fictions? It was no Kamehameha or Heat Vision but this was still fucking incredible! I doubt I'd get used to this but I shouldn't be geeking out in the middle of a burning room, best to geek out later where none can hear me squealing.

With that, I make my way out of the burning hideout.

And now I'm just waiting for Suigetsu. I doubt that a ninja of water like Suigetsu would have any issues with a fire so it's very unlikely he has any trouble. So he'll either come along with me to get Zabuza's sword and help assemble Taka or he'll go get the sword alone. I hope he comes with me though, it's better not to be alone in a new and dangerous world where almost everyone is out to get you.

However, my worries are quickly swept aside as I take note of a puddle of water on the ground as soon as it appears. Glad to see that this body's reflexes are still sharp.

"I forgot to ask you. It was your squad, wasn't it? You were the ones who brought down my predecessor Zabuza Momochi. So tell me, whatever happened to his sword Kubikiribocho." Suigetsu asks as he splashes around still naked.

I get a flashback to the first C-rank mission this world's Sasuke did. When Haku came to pick up Zabuza she put him in a storage scroll and left. After that canon played out the same, the sword still ended up as Zabuza's grave. Sakura later asked why we didn't take the sword, Kakashi's reply was basically 'so we don't start an incident with Kiri'

"What, cat got your tongue? Come on, I'll make you a deal. You tell me where the blade is and once I get my hands on it, I'll agree to join you on whatever you're doing."

"Sure. But seriously, get some clothes. I don't even care if you have to use a Henge, you can't go around naked like that. It'll get unwanted attention." And it might give off the wrong idea to everyone and especially Naruto, he'd be a great bro but just a bro.

"Alright alright. Although I'm sure we'll still be getting that considering who you're talking to. But only if you know where the Executioner's Blade is."

"It was left in Wave as a mark for Zabuza's grave. But since it had been 4 years since I last saw it, it might be elsewhere. Zabuza was an infamous missing-nin and likely had enemies who'd like to take his sword." This world was a strange mix of filler and manga canon, most of the filler and movies in part one did happen, and even some of part two but not all of it.

Shinno, the guy with the Zero Tails, Dark Chakra, and potent medical ninjutsu, was who Orochimaru had to heavily rely on to replace Kabuto. He was pretty annoyed about having to go back and forth from his hideouts to the Land of Sky for treatment and was more than happy when Sasuke gave him the Sky shinobi's Body Revival Technique and news of his death. On a side note Mecha Naruto was not a thing, but Sasuke did walk across blueprints of it in Sound. They were now blueprints of ash.

So the sword could be where we left it at Zabuza's grave or it could be with some Gato like a mob boss.

"Then we'll head to Wave and see."

And head to Wave we did. Suigetsu was being himself along the way, pretty annoying but kind of fun too, like a murder happy Naruto minus the morals.

We made it in a few hours by casually running, with our arms sticking out while somehow looking different from all those attempts in real life.

Here it is, the Land of Waves! The mission that solidified Naruto's ideals to what they are and finally got Kakashi to start training us seriously. Wait he did what.

"Alright my cute little genin, I think that we all can agree that our mission to Wave was… a clusterfuck," Kakashi said pretty bluntly. "Once I had a moment to think, I reflected on the mission and how we almost died many times and how unprepared we were. And as your sensei, I'm sorry for failing you. This is why starting now I'm going to take our training to the next level."

'Finally. Now I can learn something useful.' Sasuke thought.

"Finally! Now I can get a cool new Jutsu!" Naruto shouted in excitement.

"Now I won't be a burden anymore." Sakura said in determination, ready for the challenge.

"And starting now, said training is going to make you wish you all died in Wave by the time I'm done with you."

"Pssh. How bad can you possibly be Kakashi Sensei, you're too much of a bum to properly teach anything as bad as Wave. What're you gonna do, show up late for 4 hours rather than 3?" Naruto mockingly said, not at all convinced of Kakashi's threat.

Kakashi's only reply was an eye smile.

And the only reply Team 7 gave were groans as they were knocked out by wood.

Wow. Looked like Kakashi went ANBU captain on them and got Yamato to help, poor guys. But at least they handled the Chunin Exams better. Meaning that Naruto beat Kiba and Neji on skill rather than a gag or the Kyuubi. And Sakura beat Ino rather easily and made it to the finals, sadly she went against some guy from Ame and lost. Turns out random no names can be actual threats too.

But enough of a memory lane that I didn't grow through, I now had to cross it. Just as I was about to take my steps on the bridge, Suigetsu burst into laughter.

I don't get it. Yeah 'The Great Naruto Bridge' was a dumb name but it wasn't that funny. Then Suigetsu started expressing his thoughts.

"Who the hell thought of that name and where is he so I can give him a prize." He said, wheezing between words.

Ok, it can't be that good or bad, let's take a look.

'The hell is this?' I think in confusion but suddenly remember annoyance.

"We must thank you ninja for saving our town from Gato. As a token of our appreciation, we will name the bridge after you all." Tazuna said.

"Hn. I don't need my name on some bridge. And you will absolutely not take the 'Sasuke and Sakura Forever Bridge'." Sasuke said, looking intently at Sakura.

"Thank you Tazuna but I don't have any good names," Sakura said bashfully since any name she gave might be rejected by Sasuke.

"I'm flattered but I hold a rather strong dislike of bridges and would prefer not to have one named after me. But if you're naming books, 'The Tale of Kakashi Hatake and His Cute Genin' sounds nice."

"Ooh ooh, I got one!" Naruto said, excited to give his idea.

"Kid you're the only one willing to give me a name, I'll take whatever you've got."

"Yes! But I want it to be a surprise! I'll show it off once we leave."

"Sure thing Naruto. I'll call you over once we get started on the sign."

Sasuke simply left, not caring about the bridge other than the fact that it was completed.

A Week Later

"Sakura-chan, Kakashi sensei, and Sasuke, I present to you all!" Naruto shouted as he had the attention of his team on him. He paused to let a drum finish.

"Get on with it you loser. I don't have all day to wait for this." Sasuke said, rather annoyed with Naruto's theatrics.

"Oh calm down Sasuke, I think you're going to have a strong opinion on the sign." Kakashi said.

"The newly and fully completed," Naruto said and then pulled down the tarp revealing the name. "The Super Kami 5th Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, Way Better Than That Bastard Sasuke Bridge!"

"There were many things I expected Naruto to name this bridge. This. This was somehow not one of them. It's a lot shorter than I expected." The Copy Ninja said, quite dumbstruck at the name but at the same time not even trying to hide how amused he was. "You truly are a hyperactive knucklehead mcspazatron."

"Naruto! You can't just use the bridge to insult Sasuke like that you idiot!" Sakura yelled, outraged at the insult to her crush. "Don't worry Sasuke, there's no way that they'd actually keep a name as long as that." She added in an attempt to comfort her teammate. Unfortunately said teammate could only see red.

"Naruto you dead last idiot I'm going to beat the life out of you!"

And much like Kakashi that day, Suigetsu had a good laugh. So did I honestly. Mostly at the memories of the event, no matter how much Sasuke's brain was telling me that it wasn't, as Sasuke tried to beat a laughing Naruto to death. Of course he was held back by Kakashi, unfortunately for Naruto that didn't stop Sakura from doing the job for Sasuke.

"So you do have a sense of humor. Never knew you were into self-deprecating with how stuck up you can be."

"I do have one, I recall a heart attack I gave you the last time I showed it off."

"Yeah but that wasn't funny."

"You're just saying that because the joke was on you, I'm sure Karin would've found it funny. And right now I got something funny." I say as I walk to the sign itself.

I pick up one leg and with a good amount of effort lift it out of the ground.

"Sasuke, what the hell are you doing?" Suigetsu asked, confused by my actions.

"Go get the other leg and help me turn this thing around."

"...ok" Suigetsu says, still confused but willing to help.

Once he lifts the other leg out of the ground and we switch the sign over is when I execute my delightfully devilish plan.

Making my open name for the bridge. With a monkey hand sign my hand becomes covered in lightning. I carefully write out my new name while being careful not to pierce the sign or mess my hand up. After 2 minutes my work is done.

"The Dead Last Naruto, Useless Sakura, Heartbreaker Kakashi, and Uchiha El33t Sasuke Bridge."

What better insults to steal use than stale memes and bad fanon the pinnacle of writing. Although it is in Japanese rather than English so that made it rather annoying to write out.

"I'm sorry but last I checked, words weren't written with numbers in it. Why the hell are there two 3's in elite?"

"Because I'm an Uchiha Eleet and can spell however the hell I feel like it." And I did not think about how well that'd translate to Japanese, not at all. Best to keep the illusion of purpose than admit a dumb mistake.

"More like u not no how to spell." The Hozuki said mockingly.

"Like you they taught you how to spell words other than 'bloody', 'mist', and 'seven swords' in Kiri." I said back to him.

"A blade can speak far more than a pen and paper. And murder is all I need to speak."

"Ring, ring. What's this? Fuinjutsu just called, they want the Seven Swords of the Mist back. Especially the one that's just a bunch of exploding tags on a stick."

"A bunch of exploding tags on a stick?! As soon as I get all Seven Swords, I'll show you how far above any fuinjutsu they can be! Besides, that stuff didn't stop the Uzumaki from getting wiped out by Kiri and the Seven Swords, now did it?" Suigetsu said, outraged at my disrespect.

Last I checked, it required Iwa and Kumo in addition to Kiri to pull off, but then again that was fanon and for all I know that actually happened. Things were already different from canon.

I'm pretty sure if the Uzumaki were truly as frightening with seals as they were said to be then perhaps they'd still be here to make Suigetsu eat his words right now. After all, water was sealable. But Naruto and maybe Karin could do that in their place if they hear about it. But rather than voice any of that I just said something else.

"If you can name a sword that would successfully bring the dead back to life, summon the Shinigami itself, or seal away Biju, then I'll happily eat my eyeballs and call Itachi oni-chan."

"Samehada could-"

"I said, would, as in no question about it. Not every wielder is Kisame level of bullshit."

"What does it matter to you anyway? Last I checked you're no Senju or Uzumaki so you shouldn't be trying to be a samurai for something you don't specialize in."

"Just pointing out how strange you Kiri folk are by obsessing over a bunch of sticks vaguely related to a sword. But enough of this, let's go get the actual sword before we get sidetracked again." And so I ran off before we got into another debate on the sticks Kishimoto called swords.

(Hello! Once again this here is a chapter I had up for a while on FFN and AO3, although I edited it slightly. Anyway I you guys like it and leave me your thoughts, questions, or feedback.)

Chapter 3
The bridge was a lot longer than I remembered from the show or Sasuke did. It wasn't that important to think about after the events in Wave.

What would probably take a while for a normal civilian to cross the Naruto Bridge took me and Suigetsu a couple of minutes of jogging. As we did we left many civilians, at least the ones without carriages, envious of our speed.

Wave was a far cry from what it had been in the original Naruto. The once poverty-ridden island that stank of hopelessness and death was now a lively and busy place. Tazuna or whoever's in charge did a great job of cleaning up Wave when Gato was dealt with.

My eyes latched on to the first restaurant I came across. The rumbling of my stomach followed, reinforcing the idea that I was hungry. All this walking made me hungry and this body hadn't eaten anything in a couple of hours. And by the look Suigetsu was giving he had the same idea. I doubt Orochimaru gave him anything decent to eat in that tube.

As soon as we were inside, however, the attention of the female staff shifted over to me. Mainly on my exposed chest thanks to this shirt. While it made me look like a stripper it was actually so Sasuke didn't lose a shirt every time he used the Curse Mark, not like it's a problem anymore. Now had this been an anime I was sure there'd be hearts in their eyes. Suigetsu just laughed as we sat at the nearest empty table. It was pretty uncomfortable having this much focus on me as I never got this much, luckily being Sasuke came with a default solution. Ignore it.

I grabbed a menu to see what they had and how much I could afford to spend, carefully looking over the options. I decided on getting the steak and ribs as I was aching for meat. Suigetsu just ordered a bunch of ice cream/frozen yogurt that he stole from some other guy. The man was about to complain but was silenced by the glares of the women, so he left vowing to give this place a low rating for poor customer service.

If there was one good thing to all of the attention it was that my food came a lot faster than it ever did at modern restaurants and in a larger quantity. A simple smile and a thank you made my waitress's day and made the others further their resolve to get my attention. As long as it got me good service and my space was respected they could use me for eye candy as much as they wanted.

"So once we find the Executioner's Blade, what will be our next move?" Suigetsu asked after taking a bite.

"Our next move will be to locate old pals of ours that I feel will be useful for my cause. Afterward, we'll head back home safe and sound to clean any messes left behind." So far the plan is just to pick up Karin and Jugo and go to Otogakure to deal with any potential problems that could arise.

After what happened with Kabuto providing Obito an undead army and helping start the Fourth Great Ninja War, I wasn't taking any chances with the Sound Village. A series of hideouts filled with Orochimaru's experiments could cause headaches if left alone. So best to nip any potential antagonist in the bud now.

Guren was the one in charge as Orochimaru's second in command and second most powerful shinobi, behind Sasuke from before yet not so far. But with him dead I doubt she'd care about running the village now, however she was devoted to the snake so she might want revenge. And I'm pretty sure Dosu still didn't like me since he almost died in the Chunin Exams as bait for me so he could be a problem for me. The guy was impressive during Part 1, so it wasn't surprising to see his growth into Part 2. On his own, he was high A-rank but with his sound gauntlets they let him hit above his class into S a little.

Obviously, I couldn't just say all that because there could be spies from any number of people who I don't want to deal with in any of the Great Five villages or the Akatsuki via those stalkers Obito or Zetsu. A bit paranoid, yes, but honestly who wouldn't be in the Naruto world normally, it'd be even worse if you knew what was coming.

It took Suigetsu a moment to understand what I meant and just nodded, but he was surprised. "Huh, I would've expected you to go after your brother as soon as you could."

"I'll deal with Itachi soon enough and with Kisame as well. But I have loose ends back home and they would be very annoying if they popped up when unneeded. However, as we are right now, we're in no condition to find Itachi and Kisame let alone deal with them. I just had a fight with a snake, and while victory wasn't a doubt it was a hard-won one and it took its toll."

"Now while I may not know much about Itachi, bastard that he is, I know more than enough about Kisame to beat him."

"I don't doubt that you could beat him," Not without a lot of training at least. "However, you just got out of your tank after being cooped up inside for who knows how long. Looking for some friends and heading home to clean a few messes gives us some time to recover our strength and grow stronger. As well as keep an eye out for your sword collection."

"Hm, fair enough. I am a bit rusty after all that time in my prison. A side adventure should be enough to get me back in shape. As long as I get my swords I couldn't really care less about what we do."

With how I am right now I don't want to run into any of the Akatsuki, so delay that by dealing with weaker foes, a classic shonen strategy. Besides, it shouldn't take too long to do and by the time I'm done my chakra should've worked itself out, and then I'll deal with the Akatsuki.

Besides, at the moment Itachi is far too complicated for me to find let alone deal with just the two of us, and we could stand to find some friends and even turn interference into assistance. Not to mention that while looking for him and Kisame we may run into eight other fellows of similar disposition."

"I can see why you're putting off your reunion, it'd be awkward to deal with that many people. But it would be funny seeing Karin flail about." He chuckles after that last bit but goes silent.

I'm not too sure what I'm about to say. It'd suck if I lost him but I absolutely need to have him consent to this before we get into some deep shit.

"If the reunion sounds too much for you, you're free to" But before I could go any further I was interrupted.

"Hold on there Sasuke. Just because this sounds scary to you doesn't mean it's scary for me. Besides, how am I going to rebuild my order if Kisame still has the Shark Skin? Sticking with you is my best bet, even if I have to deal with Karin."

Looks like I was worried over nothing. Granted I knew Suigetsu along with the rest of Team Taka was loyal to Sasuke, even when they had no reason to, but this was the early stages of that, now this, relationship. Now that I know he won't be leaving me if the going gets tough all I have to do is not be an asshole and ruin that. Because something tells me that the shit canon Sasuke pulled like with joining the Akatsuki and almost killing Karin would not fly at all. To be honest I'd be concerned if they did.

"Thank you for sticking with me. And I promise that the next generation of your sword enthusiast group will be guided by your hand." I give Suigetsu a genuine smile as I say this, something Sasuke hasn't done since he left Konoha three years ago.

"No need to get sappy on me. And besides, after we clean up that mess at home and deal with your brother, we could move on to bigger things. Like conquering the world! We'd already have a village, what's stopping us fr-"

"Me. Do you have any idea how much work goes into running a Hidden Village? Kiri alone should tell how bad that could go if you fuck it up. Now you're asking me to do that while dealing with the inevitable resistance that'll occur from me trying to take over the world and the shit show of trying to force many different groups of shinobi under my banner. You'd have to be strong enough to make Madara and Hashirama look like infants before world domination is at all feasible. And to say nothing of the countless assassination attempts that would follow. If you want to deal with that, go ahead and get your group. Plus that involves dealing with politics, miss me with that shit thank you very much." Not to mention I didn't plan on sticking around in the Naruto world at all, as while it was fun to see through the lens of an anime it was a terrible place to live in. So as soon as Akatsuki was dealt with and Kaguya no longer an issue, I'm bailing via Rinnegan travel or that Planeswalking thing the Sage mentioned.

"Nope, no thank you for any of that, especially the politics, I only suggested that because I think that out of anybody I know, you could pull it off. With the amount of women throwing themselves at you, I'd say you already have one group under your banner."

"Huh, you just said something useful." Sasuke did have a bunch of women obsessed with him, a dumb gag but it should be useful.

"How was that useful and why exactly would it be such a surprise? I'll have you know I'm full of valuable insigh-""

"Excuse me," I say to the nearest waitress while ignoring Suigetsu's rambling. "I'm looking for a big chunk of metal that resembles a sword that was near the Naruto Bridge, do you have any idea where it is?"

"Uh no, but I'll ask around. I'll be right back!"

"A big chunk of metal? Really?"

"Oh shut up you know it's accurate. Besides, it's a better description for my spy network to work with than that long name."

"A spy network?"

"All the big-name shinobi have one, especially the S class. Orochimaru had one, Jiraiya, Sasori of the Red Sand, and…" I can't actually name anyone else with a spy network. "Lately myself."

"I'd hardly call gossiping girls a spy network of all things."

Before Suigetsu could say anything else, the waitress returned.

"I know where the sword is!"

"It may not be intricate but it can be effective at times, like now."

—————-

Following that we left the restaurant without having to pay at all, hell, Suigetsu even got to take all of the yogurts with him. Oh, how it's fun being able to abuse looking good.

While Suigetsu was finishing his 24th cup I was on the lookout for a clothing shop or a tailor. Mainly because I wanted a change in wardrobe, for three reasons. The open shirt wasn't useful anymore with no Curse Mark and I didn't want to leave my gut exposed, as while showing off skin meant you were pretty confident in your ability to defend yourself, like the Raikage, I just saw that as an unnecessary risk. And lastly, it wasn't a good idea to advertise yourself as one of the last two known Uchiha in the world. So I ditched the rope belt and shirt and got myself an outfit resembling what Sasuke wore during the Shinden novels, except for sticking with a white shirt.

And once I saw some water balloons at a stall I knew I couldn't resist. After all, who'd pass up recreating the Rasengan if they could?

By the time I found Suigetsu he was on the ground next to a pile of empty yogurt, a scene reminding me of how Naruto was after a trip to Ichiraku's. I gave him a nudge with my foot and he was up from his nap.

"Finally, now that you're done playing dress-up we can get Kubikiribocho. Now let's crash this Tenzen Daikoku's place and take it."

"Sure, let's get you that sword." With that, we were on our way.

———-

The time for leisurely walking had ended so we started spamming Shunshin to get to the mob boss's home. It was what you'd expect a feudal lord to live in, which made sense as he was the Water Daimyo's aid and was as such a big-name politician. Which was still a mon boss even if labeled differently in these parts. And it seems that while he did learn from Gato and stuck with hired thugs who were at least Chunin level, able to threaten a Jonin if I was being nice. But not much compared to an S rank like myself.

"Seeing as it'd be a joke to get through these guys, how about a little competition? Let's see who can get Kubikiribocho first." I offered. This would be a good way to test myself and get used to doing ninja things.

"I didn't think you had such a playful mind. Sure, it sounds like fun." Suigetsu accepts the challenge. "Now when do we start?"

"The moment he asked who'd get the sword first. I'd hurry if I were you, the original is pretty fast when he wants to be." A clone says with a smirk.

"What the hell do you mean- a clone!? Oh, you sneaky mother-" Suigetsu was about to say before he shook his head and chose to focus on getting the sword before I did.

————-

I take back what I said about these goons giving a Jonin trouble, Part 1 Naruto could make it through these guys with only some difficulty. Then again these guys are just Chunin, so far below my league it wasn't even funny.

So while it wasn't at all much of a test for my skill, it at least showed that I could use Sasuke's stealth competently. And it's with that stealth that is how I got here.

"Who's there!? How did you-" Tenzin began to panic. Can't have that.

"You utter a word and I shove this sword through your skull." I threaten with my sword hanging over his head. The man was still panicked but the sword gained his silence. "Good. Now I'm here for two things, give them to me and I'll allow you to live. Nod if you understand." And nod he does. "I want the Executioner's Blade in your possession and 10 million ryo."

"You can't be fucking-" A sudden thrust that nearly touches his forehead stops his complaint.

"I'm only taking a small bit of your wealth and a sword that belongs to Kirigakure, I could take more and there's not a damn thing you could do to stop me. Other shinobi aren't as nice as I am and would take everything you've got and kill you, in either order. Hell, I'm even doing you a favor as I doubt the Hidden Mist would be happy with you, and we all know what happens when people from there aren't happy. Just give me what I want and I'll leave you be." I coldly threaten, my point cowing the man.

"Alright, I'll lead you to my vault. It's where I keep the damn sword and my money." Tenzen said, resignation and anger in his voice.

"Good, now get going. And if you try to lead me to a trap or something like that, I'll do nasty things to your mind with my genjutsu." I say with a glare. Now I doubt that he'd try to do anything, especially with the threat of having his mind fucked with. But I wouldn't mind, I am curious to try out some ideas I have for genjutsu. The internet does give a lot of material for that.

——

It takes some walking, damn this place is long and I'm pretty sure he took the long way on purpose, until we finally made it to the vault. When we get there we find what seems to be an above average thug dead, possibly mid Chunin level, and a broken door.

Looks like Suigetsu got here before I did. Seems that he didn't bother with the dragon and went straight towards its hoard.

Anyway, I just walked in and found a smug Suigetsu with Kubikiribocho. And a couple of dead bodies,

"Ah Sasuke, took you long enough. I see that you wasted your headstart on that bozo while I went straight for the prize." He said while lifting his newly gained sword into the air. "Sadly you missed me with my Executioner's Blade in action, these guys were just too weak for it to be anything but a slaughter and I needed one after being cooped up for so long. And they were free blood for it too, although it's in better shape than I expected."

"I don't care who you slaughter as long as they're our enemies and our enemies only. And make sure that you dispose of the bodies, Kubikiribocho leaves a unique mark and I'd rather not deal with Kiri ANBU coming after our asses, mainly because they'd be a pain on them."

"Hehe," Laughter, not something I'd expect to hear, and even more so it wasn't from Suigetsu. It was from the weakest man in the room, Tenzen.

"It's just funny how much trouble you're going through for that sword, especially after what I've done to it. I was saving this laugh for after I sold it to Kiri but I guess that isn't happening now."

"And what exactly did you do anyway?" I ask. Suigetsu removed his focus from the sword and paid attention to the conversation.

"You see, Zabuza fucked me over during his coup in Kirigakure a while ago. I lost a good number of men, and even my cousin Masafumi. I wanted some revenge, but it turns out that some Konoha nin put him in the dirt before I could. So I did the next best thing and desecrated his grave and took his sword. I heard of its ability to drain blood to repair itself, so I got curious, was it limited to human blood, or could animals be used? A few pigs proved that right and I wanted to go even further, and asked, `Was it limited to just blood?'"

I don't think I'm gonna like where this is heading.

"Turns out that yeah it sort of was, but if you mixed the blood with any liquid the sword would take it in. And boy did I have a field day with that. Any substance you could feel a hint of disgust at, I had it blended, mixed with blood, and fed into that sword for 6 whole months. After I ran out of ideas for what to put in there I decided to tape the damn sword to Zabuza's decayed hands and sell them both back to Kiri, as one last fuck you to that prick Zabuza."

A silence filled the room. Whatever Suigetsu and I expected the man to say, this was not it.

"Wait- what?" I stammered. Had this been the internet I would've been fine, you see weird shit plenty of times, but rarely do you hear or actually encounter something like this in real life. Seriously what the fuck, this sounds like some shit out of Deviantart, Qustionable Questing, a Reddit copypasta, or 4chan. "We were going to let you go man, you had absolutely no reason to say any of that, especially to a Kiri ninja."

It was at that moment that Tenzen knew, he fucked up. "Wait, really? And did you...say...Kiri nin-...oh Kami."

Suigetsu was dumbfounded for a bit but those brain cells eventually registered what he just heard. "WHAT! THE! FUCK!?" Suigetsu bellowed, the most pissed off I've ever seen him, leaking enough Killing Intent that would cause anybody below Jonin to kill themselves. The only reason Tenzen couldn't was that I still had his arms in my grasp, but he was doing everything he could to break out of it. Wait a second I don't feel any movement at all from this guy anymore.

"You son of a bitch you fucking shat on my goddamn sword are you kidding me!?" Suigetsu yelled before yanking the man from my grasp and slamming his body through a wall. "I put my hands on that why the fuck wasn't there a sign, better yet why do it at all! This is gross even by my standards!" He continued as he roughed the body up rather harshly. "I'm gonna kill, no, butcher, no because you won't ever touch that sword again, I'm gonna clobber you to death!"

"You're a bit late for that Suigetsu." I say, the sole voice of calm. Honestly I just want this to end and get on with our day. I'm definitely not gonna let him forget this though.

To my words his head turned sharply towards me, his eyes mirroring his mouth in rage. "What the hell do you mean Sasuke?"

"Of course you didn't notice, you've been stuck with Orochimaru for so long that you've gotten used to letting out your Killing Intent at full force. This guy isn't Orochimaru, hell this guy is just a Genin, so it shouldn't be a surprise."

"That his heart gave out." Suigetsu finished for me as he dropped the body. "Dammit! I'm still pissed off and I need something to hit!"

He stood there thinking for a second before his eyes fell upon me. "Perhaps I should test my sword on a more worthy opponent, someone who previously disrespected it and needs to be reminded of its power, because clearly Zabuza didn't leave enough of a mark."

"I almost died to that thing more times than I'd like to count as a Genin, I'm sure as hell not dying to it when I'm so far beyond myself from long ago," So much more, "and Zabuza. Especially not after what Tenzen did to it, I don't fancy dying to infection of all things." I say with a brief chuckle as I notice the hand I had on my sword getting ready to unleash it. "I was trained in the basics of sportsmanship by Kakashi Hatake, of the Leaf's ANBU Black Ops, and fully trained under Orochimaru, wielder of the Kusanagi, which was one of many legendary blades. And more of a sword than half of the Seven Swords of the Mist. I mean an axe, needles, and of course the expl-"

"No, no, no! They are swords that just so happen to take the shape of other weapons. They still function as swords just with extra features, therefore they are indeed swords! In fact, I'll be more than happy to show you how effective one of them can be!" He says as he points the toilet sword at me. Suigetsu's still heated but now he's sporting a grin, ready to test his skill with the Executioner's Blade.

Things are starting to heat up, hell I'm even starting to get into this. Suigetsu is eager to use Kubikiribocho on someone and I myself am eager to test my ability. But that last thought quickly took me out of the mood and forced a more cool head to emerge.

"I'll be more than happy to prove who here is the superior swordsman, however, we will in another time. Earlier today there were whispers of a big block of metal, followed by the death of the Water Daimyo's advisor with his goons sporting wounds that only a block of metal could give. It doesn't take a Nara to figure that these two may be connected. And it's for your best interest that Kiri doesn't know that someone who isn't them has one of the Seven Swords, unless you want to compete with the resources of a Great Village, especially one that knows how best to kill a Hozuki?" I say so we don't get into a fight/spar right now. My body still isn't ready to get into an intensive fight yet and I want to avoid anything that'll get heat from Kiri right now. And as much as the ANBU in the anime were worfing fodder I doubt it will be that way in real life.

Speaking of said heat, I quickly do some hand signs and shoot mini Fireballs at all of the corpses. No evidence is the best evidence after all.

"Now let me get all the Ryo Tenzen had and we'll be on our way."

To that Suigetsu just gave the Butcher Sword in his hands another gaze, this time one of sorrow. He lets out a sigh before responding. "Well I did get my blade, so yeah, I'll go with you just like I promised. But we're splitting that cash, I'm gonna need to buy so much bleach." He said once he was finished.

"Then I recommend that you do so before the original takes most of it." My clone said.

Suigetsu just blinked before growling irritatedly. "The clone again, are you serious?!" And rushed into the vault.

-----

Normally this would be the part where I have a major internal crisis over the fact that I let men die, not good men but men nonetheless. And since I felt nothing for them that'll lead to an even bigger angst fest that would consume my every waking thought. Doubly so as both I and Sasuke were against killing from a moral standpoint, before he went crazy and I ended up here anyway.

But I can circumvent that whole issue via the fact that the Pure World, i.e. ninja heaven exists. And seeing as Madara and Obito got there, and I'm fairly certain that when Danzo died and when Orochimaru eventually dies in canon he'll go there too, then I could essentially get away with anything.

Now of course because I'm not a total fucking edgelord I won't be ripping off Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe or spouting out empty philosophy while being edgy. And even if I decided that Sasuke wasn't edgy enough and decided to rip off that comic I'm pretty sure Naruto would pull a Joseph Joestar out of his ass and beat me back into his best buddy. And this time I doubt Hagoromo will be as nice as he was.

Now enough about morality before I get sucked into preaching the oh-so-obvious life good killing bad. Besides this is just an excuse for me to kill my enemies without worrying about the sometimes reasonable or unreasonable cliches that would stop the good guys from doing so.

Turns out that Tenzen only had around 500 million Ryo, of which now my 300 million Ryo or 3 million in freedom bucks. So not too rich (from a clan heir's perspective) but enough to fund our travels. Though I still plan on cashing Oro's head in for the cash, which was 2,742,125,000 Ryo (the highest bounty ever given out barring Minato's), and goodwill.

As for now, we're heading towards the Southern Hideout where Karin was. Where instead of calling a boat to bring us, we just walked across the watery distance. I thought it would be weird but Water Walking felt almost as natural as walking on solid ground. Once again performing the act of miracles back home causally, oh chakra you are a blessing.

Originally Sasuke recruited Karin for her sensory and healing abilities. That was the same for me but put more emphasis on healing. Her being an Uzumaki means she has a powerful life force, giving her a long-lasting and powerful chakra. Plus she's infatuated with Sasuke so she'll be more than willing to let me bite her for as long as I need/want. So a healer who's both effective and readily available, probably my best bet for fixing my chakra. Hopefully, her Uzumaki chakra will help my body get better used to my spiritual chakra, and then I can start working my way to using Six Paths Chakra. Plus she's a decent person so working with her should be easy.

Now could I just wait for my chakra to stabilize, sure. But do I have the time, no. For all I know someone may come after me while I'm not ready, namely Itachi, Danzo, or Obito. So it's definitely for the best that I get back to gear ASAP. At least with Karin I could finally, hopefully, use all of Sasuke's arsenal properly and the Eternal Mangekyou. As for Sage Mode, I'll have to consult with the Elder Snakes as they're the only teachers of Senjutsu that I have access to because I'm sure as fuck not risking turning into stone because I was too impatient. Then I'll finally get all of the broken nonsense I've been waiting for with Six Paths Chakra.

During our walk, we were both occupied by our new possessions, Suigetsu pouring his 30th bottle of bleach on Zabuza's sword and me with my water balloons.

Now the Rasengan was a rather simple yet difficult jutsu. To perform it you'd need to learn three steps as Jiraiya once said, rotation, power, and containment. A water balloon was useful to keep track of your progress as you learned the steps, and if you already have good chakra control then you'd be more than able to do it all on your own. And the almost forgotten fact of knowing which direction your body spins, counter or clockwise. Sasuke having such control and a genius mind, now mine, allowed me to complete the first two steps rather easily. Of course the Chidori, a failed attempt to add a lightning element to the Rasengan, being my signature move helped me get it down as well. But containment was being a pain in the ass to do. Unlike Naruto and Konohamaru I can't exactly be wasting chakra on a Shadow Clone as a shortcut so I had to do it the long and hard way. But I'm coming closer and closer to figuring it out with each attempt.

"Though she claimed she was only following Orochimaru's orders, I still think she isn't someone we want around. Besides, she knows medical ninjutsu and helped him stay alive." Suigetsu says, breaking the silence and getting me out of my head. I still perform containment while he speaks.

"I'm aware of her actions while she worked under Orochimaru. But he's dead now so she'll have no reason to continue. Also, anybody under him who had skill in medical ninjutsu had to heal him, any who didn't or tried to sabotage him would be his next test subject for Senjutsu, not a fun fate. Besides, she comes with extraordinary healing abilities and unmatched sensory abilities. Those two alone are more than enough for me to want her on my team. Her eagerness to follow me is just the cherry on top." I say back, giving my reasons for wanting her around despite the stuff she did for Orochimaru.

"Eagerness is an understatement, I'm sure she'll be more than happy to let you be on top of her cherry." Suigetsu says with a couple of eyebrow raises.

"And let's not forget about her Adamantine Chains, the same chain she used to one shot you," I say, changing the subject and returning a grin, a grin of smug.

"I had her dead to rights and all she could do was stand there. And how the hell was I supposed to know that she could just spawn chains from her stomach! Besides, I knocked you down before Karin made her cheap shot." He starts off indignant before ending with a grin of his own.

"Adamantine Chains, along with sealing, were things the Uzumaki were known for. My man, she was baiting you and you fell for it hook, line, and sinker. And as for you and me, here's the difference. When I got knocked back, I got up. When you got knocked out, you stayed out." I finish with my grin turning smug with a dash of cockiness while his grin deflates into a scowl.

To that, he just lets out a "tsk" and we continue in silence. Though I'm sure I heard some grumbling of "gush as much as you want about them they still got wiped out". If this is how he reacts to all the stuff the Uzumaki can do then just he waits until he learns about the nonsense wank that the Uchiha get.

"Still, it's too quiet here and I don't like it." He says upon reaching the outside of the hideout.

"I wouldn't worry too much about it. Karin is the only person here who could pose a threat to us and she won't. And quick warning for you, she practiced with her chains." To which only prompted a second scowl from the Hozuki. And wasn't that certainly a surprise, turns out that she became much more of a kunoichi in this world than just the detector and heal pack she was in canon. Here she actually got good with her chains enough to use them in combat like she did during the War. Those chains are something I'm definitely gonna try to learn once I get mastery over all Chakra types. And while she's good with them, I can do plenty to help her improve.

"And anyone decently powerful or still loyal to Orochimaru is back at Oto. But it never hurts to be on your guard." I added to calm his suspicion, then again you weren't a good ninja if you weren't suspicious of things.

We stop at the entrance to a cave blocked off by old doors.

"Well, this looks like a good time for this." Suigetsu said, addressing his sword as our solution to the locked door. "Decimate!" Suigetsu gleefully shouted as he was about to slash the door, but before he did I hold up my hand.

"Really, you're gonna stop me from using it, again?" He asked, rather annoyed for being cock blocked from using one of the sticks he trained throughout his life to use.

"This seems like a good test subject for my jutsu," I say as I hold my hand out.

"Tch, like that Chidori of yours is gonna get you anything other than a hand-sized hole. Which ain't a problem for me, you, however…" He leaves the obvious unsaid as the startup sound starts to interrupt him.

A ball of chakra forms in my hand, rotation. The density and volume of the chakra increases, power. Now to combine both steps at once, containment. The Rasengan isn't perfect by any means but it'll definitely fuck someone, other than myself, up. When I slammed it into the door it recreated the first image Sasuke had of the jutsu, the aftermath of the water tower.

"Ho-ly shit! That's your new jutsu. Well, way to show me up huh. What are you gonna call it?"

"It's bad enough that I stole one of his signature moves, I doubt the Fourth Hokage would be too happy with me renaming it."

"The fucking Rasengan. How?" Suigetsu asked in surprise. It seems that while not as fear inducing as Madara or Hashirama, Minato and his skills still left a legacy to be respected or feared by those who knew of him.

"Much like that sword of yours, that very jutsu almost killed me. To be fair I almost killed Naruto with my Chidori so it evens out. But having a look at the thing that almost killed you keeps a clear picture of it in mind. Plus it was the only ninjutsu my loudmouth teammate used besides the Shadow Clone Jutsu." It was the same at our reunion, except that asshole Jiraiya taught him how to use the Shuriken and Exploding variants, which was an incredible pain to deal with, and Naruto wasn't even trying to be lethal.

"I'm going to ignore the fact that there was a chance I had to deal with that thing and just move on."

As we walk in I hear a whole lot of commotion going on. I think I spooked the prisoners. To be fair anyone would if they were trapped in the prison of a mad man and heard an explosion. And I couldn't help but feel weirded out. It was your typical old timely dungeon but seeing all these people here and knowing what fate awaited them gave me the wrong feeling. But I'll fix that soon enough.

"No way, that's Sasuke Uchiha!" A prisoner cried out, bringing the attention of the rest on me. "He's the guy behind that explosion!?" "Wait for a second, why isn't Orochimaru with him? Why is Sasuke with some stranger?" The rest began to gush about what my arrival meant for them. Sure, I'll free them but they'll have to wait a bit.

After a bit of walking, we reach the moment I've been waiting for. And it seems that another character has changed, as Karin looked different from the anime. And while I'd like to go into so much more detail I'll just move on as I have more important things to do. Let's just summarize it by saying that she looked a bit more like Kushina.

"Sasuke, that was you. Geez, I thought we were under attack for a second there. Well, if you're here on your own it could only mean one thing. He's dead." She states, knowing that it's not a question worth asking.

"Sasuke came here because he wants to talk to you. I'm tired, I haven't walked this far in a long time. Or run for that matter." Suigetsu says quickly to move the talk along before turning to glare at me. I simply shrugged at him, he complained about our pace during Wave so I figured that meant he was fine with spiriting the whole time. Besides, it makes for good exercise.

"You're unpleasant," Karin says, looking past him and turning towards me. "You want to talk, then talk Sasuke."

"You're not so pleasant yourself. Then again you've always been pretty stuck up," Suigetsu retorts, a bit irritated, before he grew a grin and turned to me. "You really oughta fix that Sasuke." I give him a poker face, basically my default expression. Karin tries to as well but due to Sasuke's experience with women, I can catch a blush on her cheeks. A wink from me and her face started matching her hair. It quickly went back to normal before Suigetsu could see, but I could tell that he did. The guy was an expert in getting to people.

"Well Suigetsu, if you're tired then I'm sure there's a bed for you to find. Karin, didn't Orochimaru have a room here, with a nice and comfy bed?" I say to get off from that topic. Not even a few seconds and they're already at each other's throats. Just remember that it won't be long before we're all buddy-buddy, at least I hope.

"Yes, he did. Simply go down the hall, take a right, go down some stairs. Even a bonehead like you should find it." She says while shooing him off with her fingers.

"You can take your nap Suigetsu but first we have things to do. Suigetsu, go free the prisoners, and let them know who set them free and why." I told Suigetsu before turning my head to Karin who was about to protest. "Orochimaru no longer walks among the living, meaning that you have no reason to continue his work. No reason to stay here, unless you feel that keeping all these prisoners here for the rest of your life sounds appealing. Otherwise, let them all go." To that she just nods.

"Suigetsu, give this to them," I say as I throw a scroll at him. It's one that he quickly recognizes.

"You can't be serious in giving them all of our money."

"200 million of my Ryo is more than enough for us to make do. Besides," I say as I pull out another scroll, "I never said we'll give it all out. 100 million ryo should be enough to divide between the prisoners and help them find a new life for themselves."

"Huh, aren't you awfully nice Sasuke. I would have freed them no doubt but I didn't even think about giving them some cash." He said before he left the room. But he stopped to ask. "And for the guys who give me trouble?"

"Do whatever you want with them. If they're dumb enough to mess with you then they're too brain damaged to go on living. No unnecessary torture though." I'm pretty much fine with him getting bloody even if I don't like seeing it as long as he keeps it reasonable and out of a village. To my response, he simply gave a grin, different from the playful ones he's given me so far in being wicked and vicious, and left.

"And us?" Karin asks once he's gone.

"We're going to have a talk. Preferably somewhere with a couch where we can sit."

"Ah, I know just the place. Follow me." Karin nodded before she started walking away, leaving behind the sound of echoing footsteps.

We find ourselves in a nice little room, as nice as you can call anything Orochimaru owned.

The first thing I do upon seeing that chair is just lounge myself on it. Suigetsu wasn't alone in feeling tired, of course, I can't just show it as freely as he can, still gotta hold the appearance of being Sasuke. For now anyway.

"Karin, I'd come here to ask one thing. I'd like for you to come along with me and join me." I'm gonna go with a similar approach as I did with Suigetsu, a simple ask.

"Really, you came all the way here just for me?" Karin says, a bit surprised. Interesting to note that she's still standing, I would've expected her to be all over me as soon as she could.

"I know that you possess a sharp intellect and a cautious nature, it's what allowed you to manage this prison for so long. Combined with your natural abilities and your potential, it only made sense for me to want you." I praise, getting her to glow up as I do and blush with my finishing remark.

She laughs a bit, enjoying my praise but as soon as she's done, Karin pulls out a key and locks the door.

But rather than her switching from cold and brash to sweet and soft as I expected, she stayed serious. Dead serious.

"When I first sensed your chakra I was ecstatic. It's been so long since we last met and I wanted to catch up with you. But when I felt your chakra more in-depth, it was when I noticed a change."

Oh, she noticed.

"Physically you were fine, so fine, your yang was the same as ever. But it was your spirit, your yin that set me off. It still felt like it should be yours yet it felt so strange, alien to give it a word. So tell me Sasuke, what happened to you?" She starts wistfully but turns questioning.

"What do you think happened Karin? Do you think that I am Orochimaru?" I simply ask. Hopefully that isn't her conclusion. I mean it's not too important that she finds out and I'm not gonna kill her over it, it would just be easier for that she thinks I'm Sasuke. Although had it been somebody, anyone who wasn't an ally, I certainly would've.

"No." Karin answers much to my relief. "Even with how strange your chakra is it isn't anywhere near the maliciousness of Orochimaru's chakra. In fact, I feel a total lack of his chakra from you. Which is strange as I always felt a tint of him on your neck." Her tone now just plain, but I can tell she still has questions and wants answers.

"Then there's your answer Karin," I said before revealing my neck and the absence of the Curse Mark. "He placed his Curse Mark on me 3 years ago for the sole purpose of taking over my body. When he was on his deathbed, it was then that I chose to end him before he tried to take my body. I overwhelmed him both in body and in the soul, in fact, I eradicated Orochimaru's soul, so thoroughly that not even the other Curse Marks or the Edo Tensei technique could bring him back."

"I see now. With the removal of the Curse Mark after having it for so long, it resulted in a backlash, causing your chakra to feel so different like something new came to fill in for something missing." Huh, she's smarter than I gave her credit for. But then again as a sensor and spending time with Orochimaru she'd know some stuff about chakra. Good to know that my excuse sounds believable enough to people who know their stuff.

"You hit the nail on that, but there's more, and I'm placing a massive amount of trust in you Karin by telling you this part especially," I say with the utmost seriousness, boring into her with my eyes. Her eyes widen in response before she nods resolutely, steel in her gaze. "As a result of the change in my chakra, it messed up my ability to properly use it. The basics work just fine but trying to use anything more may result in chakra-related injury and any serious ninjutsu could kill me." I take her hand. "This was why I came to you. Your healing ability was my best option for fixing myself. So, Karin, I ask of you, allow me to bite you." I considered saying 'I beg of you' but both me and the Sasuke part of me went a hard no, I'm not gonna beg unless I absolutely have to. But this should be sappy/romantic enough for Karin to agree.

And I was pretty much exaggerating on the whole fatal thing, at worst I ended up like Kakashi did when he tried to use the Mangekyou. However, it might be that way if I tried to turn on the Rinne-Sharingan or certainly if I tried using Six Paths. Again I don't really know but better safe than sorry.

"S-sasuke. You only needed to ask." She says, eyes filled to the brim with tears, flowing down her blushing face. Maybe... I overdid it a little. "Take as much of my chakra as you need!" But there's nothing quite as effective as overkill for dramatic effect!

"Thank you," I said as I took her hand into mine, before moving my lips and placing a gentle kiss on the back of it. I felt that this would be an equivalent exchange, she gets some of the affection she's always wanted while I get one step closer to Ophood. At that, I think she managed to turn completely red, either out of embarrassment or joy but likely both. I then took a bite of her hand. She tasted like...I don't have anything to compare it to, it's what you'd expect a human to taste, but there was a taste of strawberries with it. Not how I expected to describe tasting a woman but that's how it was. But then I started to truly feel it, the rush of her chakra, the strength of it, and the feeling of it interacting with mine. When it finally came into effect I felt… no not felt. It was indescribable. Simply put

I awakened.

Here we get Zabuza's sword for Suigetsu and meet Karin. This has no right being as long as it is lol.

Anyway I hope some or most of you liked it and leave your thoughts. And thanks for reading.

Chapter 4
What was once an image on a screen now shows itself to me as a spiritual vision, if that makes any sense. A giant buddha type figure holding its hands out towards me. Each hand holding a different symbol, of the sun and the crescent moon.

Regaining consciousness gave me a feeling in my bones, no, my very being similar to that of when I first came here. Except, rather than feeling like my soul and body were oil and water being forced to mix ever so slowly, I now feel like one pure and clean ocean. This was the best we had felt in either life really, not at peace or anything like that but whole inside.

My chakra was finally in sync.

Physically speaking I remained the same, still bearing a fit and well-maintained body. But spiritually it was a whole different matter. I was whole now and I could feel it. My soul wasn't something I could truly feel or be aware of, I had only an uneducated feel for it from my last life. But now that I could feel it all the more clearly, from it still being a new experience to me and this body only now having gotten used to my soul. This was made all the more pronounced with Hagoromo gifting me Six Paths Chakra, a power of feeling far beyond anything me or Sasuke could have experienced.

To be honest this makes me a bit glad that I didn't get this much power from the start. It was one thing to be alive and suddenly turn up dead, then to be put into the body of an incredible famous/infamous anime character with supernatural abilities in a supernatural world. That sort of thing took some getting used to. Having enough power, potentially more even, to take on everybody of note within the last 100 years and win is something else entirely. Sure the safety blanket would've been nice but meta-knowledge sufficed in place of raw power for a time. But that time has now passed.

I can finally make full use of my abilities, even my newer ones bestowed upon me by the Sage of Six Paths. Three names that I intellectually knew of already had revealed themselves to me from instinct: Amaterasu, Kagutsuchi, and Amenotejikara. And lastly, Six Paths Chakra itself, the use of it would place me squarely at the pinnacle of power achievable outside of becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuuriki or to a lesser extent a Jinchuriki, mastering Sage Mode, and the use of the Eighth Gate, the Gate of Death.

However, I can't openly use the power of Six Paths yet. My previous barrier was due to my body not being ready for it, now the only barrier that remains is myself. To be clear, it would be perfectly safe to use the chakra now that it has become a part of me. The problem at all really is my doubts, about the Rinnegan itself and my then newfound chakra signature. The Rinne-Sharingan isn't something I can turn off, but I could easily hide with a Henge. Wait for a second, forget the Henge, who says that I can't just make a natural contact lens via Creation of All Things, assuming that's possible. Man it's such a shame that Naruto hardly ever used this more effectively, like the least he could do for Kakashi is just give him a copy of Sasuke's eye, but to be honest I think DMS Kakashi scared Kishimoto out of Kakashi ever getting a Sharingan back lol. But Kishimoto ain't here now, is he? But let's Keep It Simple Stupid and stick with the Henge for now.

So my main issue lies with Zetsu. I know that Black Zetsu could sense me and Naruto, with us being reincarnates of the Sage's sons, but not sure how it would extend to should a significant change occur. It's a real possibility that my increase in power with chakra unseen for millennia could cause him to panic and try to deal with me, by sending Obito and the Akatsuki after me, which at this point isn't much of a threat. (However I'm not walking into Rain without a Perfect Susanno and Kirin ready, I know damn well not to tempt characters with Prep Time™)

Or perhaps try to assassinate me in my sleep, he is undetectable to sensors of Karin's caliber and to the senses of Kages. And I'm not too sure on his strength as while he claimed that War Arc Kakashi would kill him, he was able to pierce an off guard Juubi Madara, so best not to test that against myself.

He even has spores that could incapacitate Kages too, which remains me to replicate that when I get access to Wood Release. And it shouldn't be too hard once I can get access to Danzo's arm by killing him, Yamato's DNA by out stealthing him, and the White Zetsu material via capture, and implementing them all into myself with the use of Creation of All Things and Medical Ninjutsu. Karin should be more than willing, Sakura would take some to a lot of convincing depending on how our relationship goes, and I'll certainly have to use Kotoamatsukami to get Tsunade to help implant her grandfather's OP genes into a known traitor.

Then there's the problem of Zetsu just hiding out until I die in battle, very unlikely at this point, or of natural causes should he feel that my presence is far too much to overcome. Which would be extremely annoying as that fucker has centuries of experience in hiding from people, operating under even Hagoromo's nose while the man was the most powerful in the series. Best not to scare the fucker off by acting too overtly yet then.

So I'll just use the same excuse I did for Karin but shift it a little. Orochimaru did have access to Hashirama cells™ and fucked with my soul a bit, so I could always play it dumb regarding my knowledge of Six Paths Chakra and let Zetsu fill in the dots using that info. After all, why would Hagoromo after a thousand years or so of inaction give his chakra to the son he passed over rather than the one he named his successor.

So forget all about me doubts, let's enjoy being OP! But let's not go waving my dick around too much tho. Any further thoughts I had been interrupted by the sounds of voices, of which would have me up already had I not been on my awakening induced nap then musings. It seems that I have to deal with an unexpected result of my awakening.

The first thing I see is Suigetsu with a kunai to Karin's throat. Yikes, I knew that they didn't like each other but to go this far. What made the scene even more shocking was how clear it was. Far more than it ever was, even with the basic 3 tomoe Sharingan. It seems that he assumed that she did something that left me unresponsive. Let's fix this before a major fuck up happens.

"Huh, so she was telling the truth." Suigetsu states upon seeing me up. His expression shifted from the most serious I've seen from him to a more calm one.

"Of course I was you asshole, what reason would I have to kill Sasuke, the only person that I can I depend on for support, anyway." Karin says, irritated at Suigetsu and the situation. I don't doubt that she could've used her chains to deflect the kunai, it seems that she let him have the illusion of control to keep him agreeable. Clever girl, the canon one would've been helpless.

"Suigetsu, get that kunai away from her neck and let her go," I demand, the strictest I've been with him since we've met. Sure Karin wasn't in any danger that she couldn't get out of but I wasn't too happy with this sight being the first thing I had to deal with after waking up. "This is no fault of hers, it's mine entirely." I say, back in my normal tone.

The Hozuki does as I say and removes the kunai from Karin's neck and his hold on her. Upon looking at me his calm shifted towards his usual self as he sported a grin. "Wow, when they said that having sex for the first time changes how you see the world, I never thought that it'd be so literal."

"Suigetsu what the hell do you mean?" To that he simply pointed at himself before turning into a puddle. I look down at it only to see my reflection, reflecting the image of the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan in my eyes. An interesting detail to notice is that while my eyes maintain the design of the Mangekyou Sasuke had in canon, the addition of Itachi's is absent. Itachi's design seems to be replaced by Hagoromo's, which makes sense, but rather than any intricate design it's just two visible ripples, akin to the pattern of the Rinnegan.

"Thanks to Karin I've been restored to my full power, and more." I add to that statement by reverting my Sharingan back to their iconic three tomoe version, before morphing it back into the shape of my Eternal Mangekyou.

To further demonstrate this I spit out a massive ball of fire, yet it remains suspended in the air. I send chakra towards both Mangekyous and coat the fireball in the black fire of Amaterasu. Lastly, I bring up my hand to face it.

'Almighty Push'

With a simple thought, a force of gravity extends from my palm and towards the black fireball, sending it towards the Southern Hideout. The force of the Almighty Push reduced the Hideout along with the surrounding area to rubble, the flames of Amaterasu ate away at any remains. I then willed the Amaterasu to extinguish itself immediately, can't leave behind evidence that'll last a week after all. I then spat a fireball into the air towards the clouds, not enough to trigger a storm but enough to make it look like one had just passed. So that if one anyone looks it'll look like a powerful thunder jutsu did this.

After that little display, for me anyway, I turned back to Karin and Suigetsu. Their faces radiated shock at the results, perhaps not at the damage itself but more at how easily I did it. Of course, Sasuke could achieve similar results via Kirin, which was expected as it was his most powerful jutsu and a S-Rank technique that spelled certain death for them without the highest quality of defense or regeneration. But this was something I did in such a quick, simple, and effortless move.

I'm aware that this was completely unnecessary, but I couldn't help myself. It wasn't to show off, I already knew that I would beat Suigetsu and Karin in a fight, but purely to see what I could do. "So much more."

"Well congrats Karin, you're useful for something!" Suigetsu says half mockingly as he claps, but I can see an appraising look in his eyes as well.

"I've always been useful, more than you and your overgrown stick at least. I'm a healer and a sensor, which is more than I can say about swordsman number 2." That look in his eyes is quickly replaced by one I've grown used to, annoyed at insults towards a sword of his.

"I wouldn't call him a swordsman for long Karin, as soon as he gets the other 6 'swords' he'll be an axeman, a sower, and a seal master." I add in.

"Suigetsu, a seal master? How?" Karin says baffled, an intricate and complicated as fuck art as that and Suigetsu shouldn't be put in the same sentence unless a disaster was what you wanted.

"I kid you not, it's literally-" I say while trying to hold a chuckle in.

"Shibuki, aka a sword that has a scroll full of explosive tags incorporated into it, lined up behind the blade, combining swordsmanship and explosions!" Suigetsu interrupts before I can get my jibe in. "It's also called a 'Blastsword'" He tacks on.

"Oh, I see." Karin nods, taking his words at face value.

"Thank you. So it seems that Sasuke was right after all, you do process an intellect. At least one bigger than his if you can understand such a simple-" Suigetsu says, relieved to see his sticks taken seriously since the start of our journey.

"I see that it's literally an exploding tag on a stick. That's one of the legendary blades of the Seven Swordsmen that you never shut up about?" And here's where that relief dies a quick death. " Are you sure it wasn't stolen from an Uzumaki child, because something so simple with a name like Splash is only what one would come up with. Then again it wouldn't surprise me if the best Kirigakure could do with sealing is imitate a child."

I could sense that Suigetsu was gonna pull up a classic when it came to losing a debate, bringing up a tragedy. And while it might be fun to see a little joke turn into a rabid argument akin to the ones on the internet or modern-day politics, I'm pretty sure rubbing in Kiri's role in the destruction of Uzu won't help in forming a bond at all.

"All right, that's enough. While I'm sure we're all having fun bullying Suigetsu, one of the few family-friendly things involving him, I, and therefore you all, have more important things to do. And you know what that means."

"Aw man, more walking? I didn't know that place was gonna be that far. Wave was so close to the last one after all." Suigetsu complains, oh so eager to begin another however long walk. To be honest I don't blame him, the only time that I slept since starting our journey was after biting Karin. And I'm sure after getting some rest for the first time in a while I wouldn't want to start traveling again either. But alas, I have places to go and promises to keep.

"Because this is on an island, the Northern Hideout will be on a rocky area which means it'll be quite far from water. In fact, I think there wouldn't even be any water for miles. So I guess for the safety of our teammate he must stay behind. I'll miss your company Suigetsu." Karin says, faking a concerned tone.

"Karin, storage scroll please," I say while holding my hand out. She just sighed before pulling one out and handing it to me. I simply opened it and threw it into the water. "Suigetsu, I hope you like saltwater, because that's the only water we'll have for a while."

"Tch, yeah, saltwater is fine but it's gonna be such a pain in the ass to deal with considering all the salt."

"Well then, you can rest easy for one thing Suigetsu." To complete my statement I bring forth my Susanoo. I send chakra towards my Mangekyou and the Susanoo envelopes me in its ribcage, the first stage known as Ribcage Susanoo.

The ribcage grows to a large skeletal system, with two arms and a skull, Skeletal Susanoo.

The Skeletal Susanoo expands to include a pair of legs while skin starts to grow over the bones giving it a more humanoid appearance. And it grants me two weapons in my Susanoo's hands, a sword and a crossbow. Humanoid Susanoo.

The Susanoo now manifests armor over itself, the Armored Susanoo and to those without the Eternal Mangekyou the last stage before blindness.

But as I do have an EMS my Susanoo evolves one last time, manifesting even more armor and a pair of wings.

The thing I notice the most, besides the sudden shift in height and the minute feelings of agony, is the color difference. Instead of purple, my Susanoo shares a coloring similar to the start-up screen of a Playstation 5. Very strange but I don't have a better description for the type of silver or grey I see.

"We won't be walking."

In the Perfect Susanoo, I was as tall as a skyscraper, but probably on the around the baseline in height or something I don't got a ruler on me. Which meant that they couldn't hear what I just said and vice versa. I couldn't help but click my tongue at the thought.

Hmm, even if I crouched or knelt in this thing I might end up killing them, which would be a total dick move on my end. So I just reverted my Perfect Susanoo all the way back to Ribcage Susanno.

"Where and how the fuck did you get that!?" Suigetsu yells at me.

"My eyes." I simply replied.

"That explains nothing!!" He execrably shouts, clearly not liking my answer. Karin was too busy gushing in glee over the amount of chakra I'm letting out to really care about my answer.

"It's because I am an Uchiha Elite, fuck you that's why." And that only seems to get him ready to scream back at me. "But for an actual answer, I've awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan, the pinnacle of power for the Uchiha. Unlocking these eyes grants us two new abilities for each eye and access to the Susanno, a chakra projection that serves as the ultimate offense and defense."

"Ok. The eye abilities I can get. I've heard of Itachi's Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu and they fit in with the Sharingan's whole eye powers thing. But what the hell does a giant chakra warrior have to do with eyes?"

"I don't really know, perhaps the same reason a bunch of the Seven Swords don't fit into sword category yet are still considered swords. Now I'm sure we have a lot to say, or rant in Suigetsu's case but as I said earlier we have places to go."

And once again I manifested my Perfect Susanno, this time dragging Suigetsu and Karin with me.

---

Was it dumb to use the Perfect Susanoo, one of the most powerful techniques of the Uchiha Clan as an Uber? Sure! But that didn't stop canon Sasuke from doing the same with his Rinnegan now did it?

Speaking of the Rinnegan, I considered using the Animal Path to summon that big ass bird Pain used but didn't for one main reason, Pain himself. The guy may be able to notice if the summon was missing or summoned. Now I'm not even sure if it worked like that, since neither Obito, Madara, or Sasuke used the Animal Path during their time together so I wouldn't know. Now I'm not scared but I'd rather be there when Pain finds out that there's another Rinnegan user rather than miss it, that reaction should be fun. It's also the same reason that I don't summon that chameleon to hide my Susanoo, so I settled for flying above the clouds while Henged as one.

Anyway back to my flight. I rode in the forehead as was the default for most Susanoo users. Karin was with me, or rather just in my back, for two reasons, to refill my chakra should I need it and for company.

Of course, you could be anywhere inside of the Susanoo. Suigetsu was in the neck area. I think he wasn't too comfortable with being this high up in the air. Sure he was effectively fall-proof but I doubt many shinobi had any experience with such heights.

"So Suigetsu, I have a question. Technically speaking, as of right now I have the largest sword on the continent, possibly the planet. So, doesn't that make my sword better than all of the Seven Swords?"

"What, no! Just because it's so stupidly large doesn't mean it's better than the Seven Swords. Each of them carries special functions that put them above most swords. Sure your sword is large but you won't ever use it in a proper swordfight, at that point it's just a club. So you have the largest club in the world, congrats Sasuke. But still not as cool as the Seven Swords."

"Well besides the size difference, the fact that the Susanno's sword is made of purely Sasuke's chakra gives it a material far greater than any blacksmith could hope to have. Not to mention that being made up of chakra allows it to channel ninjutsu far more effectively without fearing any degradation, and serve far more for special functions." Karin says, adding her two cents.

"As for the club comment, Kisame usually keeps Samehada wrapped up, and that looks very much like a club so I wouldn't be surprised if he just beat a motherfucker to death with it. And I do recall that you said 'They are swords that just so happen to take the shape of other weapons. They still function as swords just with extra features, therefore they are indeed swords'. Therefore that should apply to my sword, regardless of size or shape."

"Alright, alright. I'll admit that going by what you two have said and my own words that this sword is more powerful than the Seven Swords. But I still maintain that this is impractical as hell and takes nowhere near enough skill to use. You can't exactly be subtle, use this indoors, or use it around teammates, can you?"

"Oh yeah, I definitely agree." I said.

"So, how much longer till we get to Jugo?" He asks.

"I'd say 20 or so minutes."

"In that case, I'll be taking a nap, wake me when we're there." Suigetsu said before he moved/swam toward the stomach area.

For a moment it was silent as it was just me and Karin in the forehead. But I couldn't help but hear that one song from Aladdin about the flying carpet and showing off the world, a shame that I didn't remember the lyrics. But I do remember a Friend Like Me so I'll be sure to annoy Naruto with that later.

"So Sasuke, now that we're finally alone I'm curious about what we'll be doing." Karin inquires.

"Well, it's rather straightforward. I plan on recruiting Jugo next but not fully. If correct, I may have a way to get him fully under control, which would leave him unavailable to us for a while. Also, I'm not going to just leave a hideout full of knock-off Jugos unattended. In the best-case scenario, they all kill each other, in the worst-case scenario, they go on a rampage, or somebody up to no good takes them."

"So you plan on rehabilitating him then. I'm not too sure if it'll be successful but it's worth a try. But what will you do should it fail and Jugo proves to be too dangerous to keep around?"

"Should it fail, I'll probably just leave him at Ryuchi Cave still. It's the home of his clan, from what I've heard the Sannin say anyway, so he should be fine there. To be honest, I don't need him and really, I don't feel like babysitting him and keeping him under control, but I won't be putting him down if I don't need to."

"If I were you I wouldn't bother at all, much simpler. But that's kind of you. Like the prisoners, you're helping Jugo out despite not needing to. I appreciate that, seeing as you did that for me during the Chunin Exams all those years ago."

"It's not much really, I'm just trying to be a decent human being. I've done plenty of bad you know, being under Orochimaru doesn't leave you clean as you're aware. Besides, I couldn't let that bear make an ugly mess out of a cute girl like you, I'd be missing out on the beautiful lady I have in front of me." A bit cheesy but sounds pretty nice imo.

"Oh shush you, hehe," Karin says with a blush. But her expression soon gets sullen. "It still feels so strange when I look back then, that I was as helpless as a civilian in front of that bear. To have been so weak. Yet as I am now I'd be able to kill every opponent in that Chunin Exam with ease barring Gaara, he'd take a bit more effort."

"Gaara was quite the menace, bad enough that my Sensei taught me his A-rank assassination jutsu, now my signature jutsu, to help me survive. He also subtly and not so subtly tried to get me to forfeit the match. And boy was that fight quite the struggle." I reminisced, speaking with both the events of the anime and Sasuke's own memories playing in my head. I shake my head a bit to dismiss them and continue the conversation. "And I feel you on the strangeness. Honestly, I think this applies to most people. As you grow and develop, what once seemed so difficult and insurmountable is doable and for some effortless. That said, I'd rather not go through any of it again. Orochimaru, leaving Team 7 behind, losing my home and family, the Massacre." Dying too, but won't mention that of course.

"Ah, there's things I'd prefer not to go through again too, honestly just my life in Kusa overall. I didn't live in poverty or starve or anything like that, but they used my mother up until she died as a shriveled corpse. She did so much to keep me alive, and for that, I'm forever grateful. Even knowing that the destruction Orochimaru brought to Kusa was great, the deaths of so many shinobi and civilians, even after I learned of the monster that he was, I still feel a sense of gratitude for that act. I'm sorry if-"

"You have nothing to feel sorry for. You had nothing to do with such an event. And besides, shinobi kill countless numbers of people, so even if you did the deed on your own I'd still want you by my side. Karin, it's perfectly fine to feel happy that the place and people that took your mother away are gone. Besides, I'm in a similar boat with you regarding missing family."

"Thank you for understanding, I was afraid that you'd think less of me and shun me for it."

"Think nothing of it. We're friends, it's a given that I'll accept you."

"Speaking of special, I have a request if it won't be too much trouble. I want to take my mother's body or remains from Kusa and bring it back home to Uzushiogakure." Karin asks, the meekest I've heard from her.

"Karin, your request would be no trouble at all. I promise that we'll get your mother home." Knowing what I do of her backstory, I saw no reason to refuse.

"I know that I may have been over the top in the past in my feelings for you but it's hard not to when you're you. The looks would've pulled me in no doubt, but who you are is what attracted me then and continues to do even now. But I won't lie when I say that your looks and chakra are very enticing."

"Karin, I'm deeply flattered that you feel this way. It's not often that people care about me for me, beyond my name, my looks, or my eyes. The only people that did the same for me were my old team. But, I'm afraid I have to state this now so there are no hard feelings. The most time we've spent together was with me under a distant and professional persona, the version of me you've loved these last few years isn't and won't be here anymore. And I would hate to force you into a relationship with someone you don't know." I truly am flattered, but I want her to get used to me first so she won't be expecting a relationship with the old Sasuke and I hardly had any experience with her either. Relationships, for me at least, are serious things after all and I wouldn't want to rush into one. "That said, I'm not saying that I don't love you or anything like that, let's just get to know each other first as friends and see where it goes from there."

"I'm so glad!" She cheers out, squeezing me tightly as she does. With her face now in sight I can actually see how emotional she's getting with the strong blush she's sporting and the light tears falling out of her eyes. But most of all that is the smile I can see on her face and her eyes. "I'll be more than happy to get to know you! I'm just glad that this isn't a complete rejection! But I have a feeling that you have more to say, don't you?"

"I'll be getting to know other people as well, so don't get too attached now as there may be a possibility of me being with someone else." Though it may or may not be anytime soon. I'm in no rush and to be honest I don't care too much about repopulating a dead clan that I don't truly belong to at the moment. Maybe later on but certainly not in the Elemental Nations, Konoha got them all killed in the first place (sure it was Danzo/Obito who plotted it but I'm not starting a family on the ground stained by their ancestors' blood), and everywhere else, Konoha included, would only try to exploit them.

As for settling down, I'm not sure. First I would have to find someone willing to leave this world for me which would be a rather short list considering how nationalistic most kunoichi are. Now I'm not unwilling to come back here for visits but like I said earlier the Shinobi World is no place to live in. So my best bet for that is either Karin or Sakura, so far I'm getting along well with Karin so I'll have to wait and see with Sakura. It really depends on how things go later on but that shouldn't be an issue until much later.

"Hm. It's not ideal but I expected a lot worse from that no so I'll certainly accept it. I call dibs on getting the first date though when or should we get that far."

"I'd agree but a bunch of my fangirls back in Konoha already called dibs, the only two who aren't worthless being Ino Yamanaka and my teammate Sakura Haruno. Best them in a 'fight of love', I think that's what they called it, and I'll give you the date." There, that should buy me some time since I don't expect to meet Konoha for a little while.

"A heiress to a clan of mind readers and the apprentice to Tsunade Senju herself as competition, huh? And wait a second, 'fight of love'? An awfully horny way to decide such a thing don't you think?"

I let out a chuckle at her response. I'm pretty sure it was some Academy nonsense but that was funnier so I'll let it stick.

"I think it's a moot point to say it now but nothing is normal when it comes to you, is it?" Karin questions, not really expecting an answer.

"Normal is a very broad term and to be honest by the time that I'm done with my quest you'll be finding my love life to be very normal compared to my main life."

"I think I already did when you had more drastic changes in chakra than new outfits and have a giant eyeball-powered chakra construct as our ride. Now let's stop talking, I just want to enjoy this moment for as long as I can. And rest on you for a while. You're so warm, ya kno." And with that last word Karin dozes off.

Dammit, I can't be the only one awake here, I want some cuddly sleep too! I quickly formed a Shadow Clone and had him pilot the Susanno. I gently wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her in. I too dozed off after a while of listening to the rhythm of her breath.

-------

"How nice of you to land for me." I say to the smoke that was my Shadow Clone once I notice that we landed near the Northern Hideout. My Shadow Clone flicked me on the head, both to wake me up and as revenge for not getting to cuddle with Karin. Well too bad, I never said that they couldn't join in, just that they had to drive. Shadow clones sometimes smh.

After we wake up, we start walking, stopping only when we find an injured man leaning against a rock, near where a warden should be watching.

"You-you must be him, Sasuke Uchiha right? It started with the rumors of Orochimaru, that he'd been killed. Then this…" Any words that the man might've said ceased, as did his life.

"Yeesh, dead just like that." Suigetsu notes.

"Strange how he lived long enough just to talk to us." I point out, which draws Karin and Suigetsu eyes from the corpse over to me. To that they just blink, before Suigetsu just shrugs it off and Karin just moves on.

"Damn, most, if not all of the wardens have been killed. It seems that without the fear of Orochimaru to keep them in line the prisoners took it as an opportunity to get their revenge on them. This is why I stuck around the Southern Hideout. Sure the prisoners were annoying and the experiments nightmare-inducing, as per the course when it came to Orochimaru, but all of that was relatively easy. This is just where the unlucky end up." Karin states with a grimace.

"Then that gives us all the more reason to get Jugo and head back to Sound. If these fakes could cause trouble unattended I'd hate to think what a village full of them would do." I responded.

Some dude just jumped from a rock pillar while trying and failing to pull off a Sonic spin, flailing his arms instead. After he crashes to the ground, a man bearing similarities to Jugo when transformed looks from the ground to us.

"I know you, I'm sure I do." He says when his eyes lock on me.

"Oh look at that I know you as well, knock off Jugo." I say with a mocking look.

"KNOCK OFF JUGO!?" The knock-off's expression quickly shifts from a vague recognition to anger.

"Yeah, you know, with that orange hair and fuck ugly appearance when transformed. Except the only thing about you that's different from him is that you're way uglier."

"I'M WAY BETTER THAN THAT PUSSY! IMMA FUCKING KILL YOU!" Are the last words he shouts before falling to the ground, with a hole in his head. But damn that just was a simple throw, it wasn't even enhanced with chakra in any way. I gotta make sure I watch myself in the future.

"And unlike you, Jugo could handle a basic kunai." I say as I shake my head.

"Hey Sasuke, I think the rest of them noticed us." Karin notes as she points towards a bunch of Jugo copies standing near the gate of the hideout, all of them gazing towards us.

"Of course they did, that asshole screeched louder than you did when Sasuke-" Splash. Suigetsu tries to say before Karin smacks him on the head. I wonder how it must feel, to shift your head into a different state of matter and shift back like it was nothing. I imagine it'd be pretty disorienting for people unused to it.

"That liquid thing of yours is both convenient and annoying. I can beat on you as much as I want, but you won't feel it." Karin remarks, drying her hand off with the air.

"Yeah, feeling pain isn't something I have to deal with much. Although I can't say the same for you if the way you walked before we got here says anything." The hell do you mean Suigetsu?

"Sadly nothing like that happened, yet." Karin says as she leans on me. Oh, I see. "And to be honest my legs were just asleep." She sheepishly adds. Ah, the pins and needles, it seems that even super people have to deal with such pains.

"You'd think that finally getting some attention would calm her down some, not make it worse." Suigetsu follows up on his previous comment.

"I think it'd be more accurate to say that by giving her a chance, I've made her more determined if anything." I confess

"You've got that right." She says, giggling into me again.

"Well that's nice and while I'm glad you finally got some Sauce-ke, Kubikiribocho hasn't gotten any ketchup and I've been itching to fix that. So Sasuke, how about we make this a competition and see who can kill the most." Suigetsu says with a grin as he holds Kubikiribocho up at the ready.

"Fine by me," I agreed before turning to Karin. "Keep an eye on any monstrous chakra, I don't want any of them to gain some sense and flee. And keep count if you can, they might be all gone by the time you can blink."

"Alright, and early congratulations Sasuke for winning!" Karin jokingly cheers for me as I go.

"What's this, the referee is showing her bias already?" Suigetsu says with little heat in his voice before turning to me. "And so sure of your victory already huh. You might wanna tone that arrogance down a bit."

"Well of course I would, Sasuke has far more potent chakra than either you or those beasts over there, a few uses of ninjutsu should take care of them quick enough."

"Hm, fair enough. In that case, I'll change the rules, no area of effect or large uses of ninjutsu, kenjutsu or simple ninjutsu only."

"You're a bit late for that. I'm just a clone so the original wouldn't have gotten any of that." The clone I left said, pointing to a display of lightning cutting down Jugo imposters.

"You should recognize when you're talking to a clone by now, a basic one nonetheless." Karin taunted, adding more fuel to the fire. Suigetsu's only response was to slash at the clone before releasing that it was useless to attack an illusionary one. Deciding he wasted enough time, Suigetsu rushed to the fray.

XXXX

A couple of seconds ago.

XXXX

Man, it's fun ditching Suigetsu with clones. Either I'm that good or the guy really needs to pay attention more to the little things. Like me disappearing in the middle of a conversation.

"Alright you bunch of budget cut Jugos, I hope you had your fun but it stops here. Because it's time for a clearance sale, and no one's buying." I taunt, calling forth the cockiness that the Uchiha were known for. But is somewhat undermined by my crappy line.

"WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE CALLING ME A BUDGET CUT JUGO YOU LITTLE SHIT!!" Which got my desired result anyway judging by how pissed they got.

"I think I'm Sasuke Uchiha, the guy who killed Orochimaru and soon the rest of you no name cannon fodder."

"Oh really, THEN TELL THAT BASTARD WE SAID HELLO ON YOUR WAY TO HELL!!"

"I'm afraid that won't be possible for what will be obvious soon enough."

Before they could even take a fighting stance I was already moving towards the nearest target. Ox, hare, monkey. And a thousand birds begin to chirp. And that makes this the third offensive jutsu I've used in this body. Along with those birds, the Sharingan makes itself visible, a necessity for navigating with them.

As soon as my hand hit the ground my body rushed towards the nearest target. I didn't need to thrust my hand into his chest, a glancing blow of the Lightning Cutter was enough to kill him instantly. I hardly stop with just that man, before he even falls to the ground five more already join him in their fall.

I'm basically recreating what Kakashi did to the Stone ninja in Ninja Storm 4, mowing everyone down with a Chidori Rush.

It wasn't any different for the next couple of kills either. They were all so slow. And even if they weren't so slow these guys fought like generic mindless monsters do with their signature hack and slash. So it was effortless for me to dodge their attacks. While they had enough mental capacity to try and attempt to gang up on me, it was only an attempt.

Did I really need to do this, not all. But wouldn't want to start using their powers once they got the chance. And this is still new to me so I just want to throw as much jutsu around as I can right now. And right now it's hella fun. But still, let's not go too crazy tho.

By the time Suigetsu arrived I'd already killed a third of them. Had I gone all out or used a few AOE ninjutsu it'd already be over.

The Hozuki makes his entrance known with a yell of glee and by cutting a man in half. Vertically.

"Damnit Sasuke you outta cut it out with that clone crap!" Suigetsu shouts, a mix between slight annoyance and glee.

"It ain't my fault it works so well on you Suigetsu."

"Whatever, but since you cheated-"

"Suigetsu we are shinobi, we don't do fair. Or did you not pass the Chunin Exam, because cheating was literally a necessity towards passing." I interrupt with a fake lecturing tone.

"Of course I know that, it's just I'm a tad surprised that the great Sasuke Uchiha has to cheat to win. But of course, how could I blame him when he's up against me, the man who'll wield all Seven Swords and usher in a new golden age of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. In that case, I'll allow you to keep your illegal kills. And just so you know, unlike you wusses in Konoha, we don't waste our time on testing in Kiri's Chunin Exam."

"Yeah, I think you Kiri folk killed all of your literates with that old graduation of yours so you can't exactly have a test. It'd be pretty embarrassing to disqualify an entire village." At this point, I decided to experiment. I attach a chakra string to my sword and once I make it long enough I start to spin it around. I was borrowing a move from White Ichigo here and there's no one to call me out hehe.

"Well, at least I passed a Chunin Exam." Suigetsu said back to me. His only response to my new move was a chuckle and he too joined in the spins. Except rather than using a string he just extended his arms via hydrification nonsense.

"I'll have you know that Orochimaru made me a jonin, so I outrank you, a missing ninja and revoked of the rank of chunin in Kiri."

"You killed the Otokage, so that makes you a double missing-nin, so that makes your rank less than mine. And I'm no missing-nin, I'm just missing in action due to being kidnapped, so still a chunin."

"Except in Sound, it's ruled by 'Law of the Strong, Orochimaru Edition', and since I killed Orochimaru that makes me the law, which means that as soon as I head back there I am the Otokage."

"I'm sure by now they already have an Otokage."

"The only people there strong enough to take that title would be Dosu and Guren. I'm already stronger than Dosu even with his sound gimmick and I'm more than able to beat Guren in a fight, especially with how much I've grown in power." And Shin, assuming he exists, would probably pop up later ala canon or have left to go simp for Itachi.

"And would you look at that, we're done." Suigetsu says as he pulls the Executioner's Blade out of a man's insides. And as he does the sword is drinking in all the blood it can, painting over the color of white stained in by the bleach. "And despite how lackluster these guys were, they sure were good blood for my sword." Hmm, I doubt that. Had they been authentic that sword should've been turned into stone.

"Of course we are, these guys were B rank at best while I'm S rank and you're, I think from mid A to midish S rank, able to fight a good majority of jonins and some gimmicky S ranks."

"You are not telling me that I'm on par with jonin and guys with gimmicks."

"If it makes you feel better you're stronger than Zabuza, even if you aren't as cool or intimidating. I mean the guy looked scary shirtless and in cow prints while you're wearing a purple tank top."

"I'll have you know that I'm more than capable of doing his whole 'naming body parts' schtick, it's just that I prefer to bring in my own charm. And as soon as we're done with getting Jugo I'll show you how wrong you are to underestimate me."

"I'll be looking forward to it."

"Well, that was fast." Karin says once we're done. "Well, with you Sasuke it was never going to be an issue. And I even got in some practice with my chains on the few that had the sense to flee, it's been a while since I got to use them in combat."

"That's great to hear Karin, keep progressing and we'll be able to abuse those chains in so many ways." I praise, which of course got a minor blush out of the Uzumaki. "Now let's go inside and get this over with."

Karin leads us inside as she knew Jugo's exact location via sensing and knew her way around.

While the last hideout gave me the creeps, it was nothing compared to here despite them being built the same. There being tons of blood along with body parts in places tends to do that. It's one thing to see gore through a screen but it's a whole nother to step in and smell that gore. I would've puked by now if it weren't for Sasuke already being used to these sights, you don't spend time around Orochimaru without seeing some fucked up shit.

Karin's unfazed for the same reason I think, and of course, a shinobi from the Bloody Mist wouldn't look twice at such a scene. He's probably thinking of how he's seen better.

"We're here" And with Karin's little announcement our walk ends, right in front of Jugo's door.

"Alright," I say in a whisper, "I'm going to get him out of that room without setting him off, but I'm gonna need you two not to contradict me or it's fucked." I get nods as my answer.

I simply make an Earth Clone and have it Henge into Kimimaro. After that, I get a slip of paper and scribble some nonsense that'd look like fuinjutsu to the uneducated, which Jugo, along with 80% of other shinobi, definitely was.

"Jugo, if you are hearing this recorded message, then it means I am dead." My clone says in what I remember to be the voice of Kimimaro.

"Kimimaro!? A message from you!?" A voice yells out from within the vault.

"And if this message is playing it could only mean one thing, my successor has arrived. Sasuke Uchiha has come to help you in my place. I know it must be hard to hear this Jugo, but you must move on. Confining yourself in this place won't help you. Please, as my final request to you, I ask that you allow Sasuke Uchiha to help you."

The door bursts open, but rather than it being done by a berserker in a mad rage, it was done in a mad sadness.

"Kimimaro!" Jugo says as he tries to crush 'Kimimaro' in a hug. To which he only chuckles.

"Jugo, this is only a projection, I am not truly here. But I do hope that this has given you a degree of peace. Farewell, my friend." After those final words, the clone disappeared, and along with it the image of Kimimaro. The only thing that clone left behind was Jugo's tears. It was a bit awkward to watch but it was a bit rude not to let a man grieve, so we all stood in silence.

"This was the oh so feared Jugo, this is disappointing I won't lie."

Never mind that Suigetsu was fine with a bit rude. I'm just happy that Jugo was so lost in that slip of paper that he didn't hear that.

After crying for around five minutes did Jugo finally get up. He nodded at me but didn't say a word. I simply smiled at him in return.

Now we walked back down. But considering how long the walk was I'd rather not.

BOOM

And with my second use of the Rasengan, there was a hole in the wall. We now had a new exit to jump out of.

"Uh, Sasuke, what was that for?" Jugo asks, my action confusing the poor guy.

"You ever get that feeling that you just want to jump to the bottom of the stairs rather than walk them?" I ask in a neutral voice, which got a look of confusion from Jugo, a nod out of Suigetsu, and surprisingly Karin too. "Well, I'm acting on it." I say before jumping out of such a jumpable hole.

I stick the landing, as to be expected with Uchiha grace. Suigetsu landed in a splash, Jugo just pulled a fuckng Iron Man and just glided down with his chakra (rocket, jets?), while Karin just walked a bit along the walls before jumping into my arms.

"Alright, now that I have you four here there are some things we need to discuss. As many of you are aware, my main goal is to handle my very complicated relationship with Itachi Uchiha, an S rank shinobi and a member of the terrorist organization Akatsuki." This just got everyone to nod, already expecting that, I'm fairly certain that anybody who knew of Sasuke would already know.

"However before I deal with that there are more pressing issues. One you may already know, Suigetsu and Karin, is that I intend to head to Otogakure to ensure that they won't become an issue. As you've already seen the results of a hideout without Orochimaru to keep it in line, you can guess what would happen on the scale of a minor hidden village. But we'll discuss this matter more later, we must focus on another. Or rather, just the two of us. Jugo, what do you plan on doing?"

"Kimimaro's last request to me was to allow you to help me. So I will, it's the least I can do for my friend." Jugo says all stoic like, though the emotion and red in his eyes directed solely towards me adds something I might be concerned about. He's been confined here alone for so long and now the guy his best friend died for shows up. That fake message of mine might not have helped looking at him now.

"I know of Ryuchi Cave, the origin of your family's power. It is there that I hope that the Snakes will help you control yourself." And where I hope to dump you for a bit before I find myself stuck with a clingy berserker because I am in no way qualified, or interested, enough to handle that on top of his other issues.

"That name, Ryuchi Cave, I feel something when I hear of it, think of it. A name innate to me, just as much as my berserker state," Jugo says, his face was akin to someone remembering something crucial yet somehow forgotten. "Yes, though I know nothing of it I can feel the familiarity." His face now haven lightened up at this.

"Well then, before I can do such a thing we should head to a different location. When discussing the matters of their affairs, summon creatures can be very secretive." I run off to a random area and Jugo follows after me. After a bit I make sudden stop, where the other two are still in viewing distance yet out of hearing range.

This part makes me a little nervous. It was Sasuke Uchiha who signed the contract with Orochimaru as the current summoner. Now Sasuke killed him and while I have the body and memories, I don't have his soul. But regardless I feel that I need to deal with this as soon as I can. Worst case, they remove me as their summoner, and best case they keep me as their summoner and teach me Sage Mode and teach Jugo control.

I grab a kunai and try to lightly stab myself in the arm, which only succeeded in lightly attaching me. Not wanting to continue and risk accidentally injuring myself and looking stupid I finally bit the bullet, that being my thumb, and got the blood necessary. Boar, dog, bird, monkey, and ram. With that last hand sign done, I slam my hand into the ground.

'Summoning Jutsu!'

At the current silence I began to feel a bit worried. Perhaps they chose to simply not respond to me at all, which would suck but-

'POOF'

It seems that a snake wasn't coming to us, we were coming to them.

Here Sasuke finally gets access to his full power, as shown with the rather minor or dumb use of the Rinnegan and Perfect Susanoo, Team Undecided/Taka has some interaction, we start a romance, and we find Jugo. I have no idea why this is so long to be honest.

As for Jugo, I hope my decision with him won't be too upsetting. The guy's an interesting character but I feel that leaving him in Ryuchi Cave will be for the best. I don't have much in the way of interacting with him right now as I do with Suigetsu and Karin and I don't him want to feel forced or anything like that. But that doesn't mean he won't be seen again, just not until later and probably with a change in character.

And as for Karin, I hope the dialogue with them was real enough/not too cringy regarding romantic stuff. Though it'd be more accurate to say that they're starting off as friends and may or may not become anything more later on. So as of now not much for defined romance, so to speak.

Anyway I hope some or most of you liked it and please leave your thoughts. Tell me what you liked, what you didn't, or any sort of suggestion/criticism really. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a good day.

Chapter 5
"Hello there, Pla-Summoner." A voice calls out to me. Said voice belonged to a large albino snake, known as the White Snake Sage or Hakuja Sennin, the leader of the snake summons. Sasuke hasn't met her personally, only hearing of her from Orochimaru and his personal summon Aoba, speaking of I should speak with him soon I kinda miss the little guy.

I bow my head, while Jugo drops to his hands and knees.

"Hello to you, Hakuja Sennin. I am thankful that you would-" I say before I get interrupted.

"Yes, I can tell you are. However, there is a far more pressing issue." She said before turning their focus towards Jugo, which causes him to lift his head up. Only to be brutally forced down to the ground along with the rest of his body as the Snake Sage unleashed a massive amount of Killing Intent. It wasn't even directed towards me but I could still feel the raw presence unleashed here, probably laced with what I could guess being Senjutsu.

"What are you doing here, child of the Tenbin?" They spat the name out as if it were a curse. "Your kind was to never set foot here!"

It was rather hard for Jugo to actually say anything considering the state he was in. Not only was he faced with such raw Killing Intent, but he was also facing an issue with his Sage Transformation. He was stuck switching between his normal state and berserker state, with the ink that covered his skin seeming to burn at him.

"It was my decision to bring Jugo here. I was under the understanding that his clan once hailed from here, so I brought him here in hopes of Ryuchi Cave being able to cure him. But judging by your reaction, I can tell that I'm lacking some context."

"To say that your understanding is lacking would be an understatement."

"However I do not place any blame or anger on you, Summoner. You are new to us and as such do not know of our history."

"In that case, would you mind explaining why you had such a reaction to Jugo? What did this Tenbin Clan do to warrant such a response? And could you stop whatever is happening to Jugo, I didn't bring him here to die."

"Hmm, Jugo is what they call you, last child of the Tenbin." Hakuna Sennin comments, and as she does whatever was happening to Jugo stops. "As for that, it was a result of him being here despite those of his bloodline being banished, never to return. But allow me to start from the beginning."

"Long ago, the Tenbin Clan were once allies and summoners of the snakes of Ryuchi Cave. Much like a summoner would do for their summons, they would protect and provide for us in exchange for our aid in battle. But our relationship was unique compared to others like it at the time as we co-existed with each other in the same home. When a shinobi came of age they were injected with natural energy by me to find those worthy of learning senjutsu and becoming Snake Sages. The name Tenbin even came from this, a reference to keeping the balance of natural energy."

"But something went wrong." It always does when it comes to these things.

"When it comes to you humans things often do. A faction of the clan had grown greedy and ungrateful, wishing to rule over Ryuchi Cave. To help them in doing so they created a powerful and ingenious fuuinjutsu, on par with the wonders of the Uzumaki in their glory days, through the extensive study of natural energy and senjutsu chakra, the Heaven and Earth Seal." Hakuja said, anger laced in her words yet contained. "The insolence! In exchange for aiding us, as was expected in our summoning contract, we allow them to live in our home and share our knowledge with them for generations! If it weren't for our generosity they would be nothing. And so it was with our wrath that they became nothing." But soon that anger bursts out, starting off loud before easing into a calm but still present fury.

"For their betrayal, for taking so many lives and tearing our family apart, we used our knowledge of natural energy and the generations of their blood carved into our summoning contract to collectively unleash a jujutsu upon the entire Tenbin bloodline, the corruption of the Heaven and Earth Seal. After that, we severed all ties and forever banished them from the lands near the Ryuchi Cave."

"That curse, it's why I have that murderous rage. All because of greed…" Jugo said, eyes wide at having a question he probably asked for all of his life finally answered.

"Yes, that curse has been ingrained with your clan ever since then. The corruption that has induced an impulse to kill. So that the Tenbin would have to suffer betrayal from their own as we had from them. But not now for you. I temporarily disabled that seal of yours, if not you would've died by now. That reaction was a measure to prevent the Tenbin from returning."

"So, I'm free. Even if it's just for a moment I'm free. Just like that…" Jugo says blankly before tears of joy burst out of his eyes and down on the ground praising Hakuja. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I promise that from this day forth that I as well as any defendants that I have will never repeat the same mistakes of my ancestors!"

"You're right you won't. Because after the catastrophe of last time, we will not be as trusting or as merciful, to ensure that such a thing will never happen again." She said sharply at Jugo. Then she turned her head towards me. "Summoner, consider this to be the Snakes' first favor to you. And since you're new, I won't ask for anything in return. But next time I will expect proper payment for your next request," To that, I just nod, it was fair enough. "But for now, Jugo will need time here, to learn as his ancestors did and of how to control himself. When you next see him, he will be far beyond the meek child afraid of and lacking control of his power, but a sure man knowledgeable and in an understanding of what he can do."

"And his status?" I ask.

"Never again will the Tenbin rest among us in Ryuchi Cave. Once he has been properly taught, I expect him to leave and never return. And should he repeat the mistake of his ancestors… I am unsure of what his fate will be, but death will be a certainty." She said before she turned back to Jugo and laced her words with Killing Intent as his seal began to burn again. "Do you find these terms agreeable, Jugo Tenbin?"

Hmm, thoroughly derailed my plan to just bail him here but still glad that he's getting proper help, even if they hate his guts. But surely they can't be worse than Orochimaru, they actually want to help him and want him to leave forever, the exact opposite of his previous situation even. As for after, the only places I can see for him are probably a nomad or a monk, which would probably suit him well. A big no for the Leaf and a maybe for Sound depending on how that turns out.

"Yes!" Jugo said, the happiness at the chance to finally get himself under control making any of Hakuja's harsh treatment wash off.

"Good. Tagorihime!" With that a snake- humanoid makes herself known, a young and attractive woman at that, with pale skin, black hair done in a fancy hairstyle along with a fancy white Japanese robe. She simply smiled and bowed to Hakuja and then to me, while ignoring Jugo.

"Yes, Hakuja-sama?" Tagorihime asked, apparently ready to serve. I'm guessing that she's a type of servant, but if so why take the shape of a human? Is this some type of monster girl type thing, maybe these Tenbin people got it on with the snakes however long ago this was, or just an illusion as those are rather common here? It doesn't really matter but it's the only mention of animal people that I remember here, besides Kisame, the Inuzuka and those with animal traits, and that Tiger Mizuki and fish girl from filler (is it canon here?), and since this place is so unexplored I'm a bit curious.

"Gather our ancient teachings, the ones from when the Tenbin still walked among us." Hakuja ordered.

"Pardon me but do you mean what I think you mean? To let one of them into our home after the blood they had spilled?" She asked, confused and a bit angry.

"Yes, but temporarily and only because it's a favor to our new Summoner, the one who killed and replaced Orochimaru. Jugo of the Tenbin is to be taught how to control himself as his ancestors were. This means that the faster that Jugo is taught, the sooner that Ryuuchi Cave will go without the blight of his presence."

"Ah, very well. Then I will endeavor to get him out of our cave as soon as possible. How would you prefer I go about this, Hakuja-sama?"

"Hmm. Use the latest successful teachings for the fastest results, but I do want him to thoroughly learn the pain of the past, to know what the greed and treachery of the Tenbin had cost us and themselves, and what will never again be."

"I see. If pain is what is needed to learn, then there will be plenty of pain to provide," She says eagerly to Hakuja, before turning to Jugo and sneering down at him as if he was scum she was forced to be associated with, and with her noblewoman look and Jugo's status she wouldn't be wrong. "Your family has left plenty for us to go over, Tenbin."

After addressing Jugo she then turned to me. "Despite not liking your favor and hardly knowing you, I still already find you more likable than Orochimaru. You haven't commented on my form at all, or remarked about seeing how well my insides are compared to that of a normal human."

"I find it hard not to be when he sets such examples for me to avoid. Your form, however, is very much not. Despite just meeting you, I hope we can meet again soon." I say with a smirk, channeling my winning smile (which won me from massive discounts/free things to getting banned from establishments and death threats from male owners on my journey)

"And I find it interesting how we haven't already. Normally for a human to meet with Hakuja Sennin-sama they must pass three trials, which are held by my two sisters and myself. Though I suppose that an exception can be made in this case as the Tenbin would be dead otherwise, as much as I'd find it preferable. That said, it was nice to meet our new Summoner. Good day." Tagorihime said, though she retained the same polite smile, I could see a faint pink on her cheeks. She bid me goodbye before bowing to Hakuja and grabbing the back of Jugo's shirt before sinking underground and dragging him with her. Ooh, that won't be fun for Jugo I can imagine.

I'll have to visit, or summon, her another time to learn more about her. Again, animal people weren't in Shippuden or the original fillers or canon last I checked. Would Naruto run into frog girls next? Would Sakura pop up with slug/slime girls? And there's no way that Kakashi doesn't already have bitches. Are there Ninja Turtles too, because I'm pretty sure Gai had a turtle summon before. Or maybe I'm just overthinking all of this.

"Well, are you surprised?" Hakuja Sennin says after a few moments, probably noticing that I was on a train of thought. Then her own form shifts from a snake to a humanoid appearance, however, she maintains her old age. "She, along with her two sisters, Ichikishimahime and Tagitsuhime, can do the same. It helps them along with myself when conducting our trials or interacting with you humans." She elaborated before she shifted her form back to that of a snake. "Now what are you waiting for Planeswalker? We should hurry along, you can see Tagorihime and the others another time."

Huh, so it was an illusion. But how tho, and why would they give up having thumbs? As a shinobi and guy from the 21st century, I can't imagine going through life without my thumbs or hands. And where did this come from anyway?

"Now that Jugo is gone we can speak of the true reason I suspect you came here in the first place. The Sage of the Six Paths has contacted me through a vision and explained your situation and what happened to our previous summoner. He also asked that I allow you to learn our Sage Mode. Normally you would go through three trials to determine your worth, but his word is enough to bypass all of that." Hakuja informed.

Ah, that explains why she knows about that. I would've preferred not telling her but I can understand why. Since this involved soul shenanigans with me and Sasuke and the technical death of their summoner, I imagine Hakuja wouldn't be speaking with or helping me unless she knew what was going on.

"I thank you for your understanding, Hakuja Sennin." I say with a bow, the one Fugaku taught Sasuke to do to show respect to one who had higher status than you but still showing yourself with respect as well.

"It is nothing. Besides, it would be in the interests of all, not just the Snakes, that Kaguya Otsutsuki remains sealed, for she would bring ruin to alI who bears chakra. Now before I begin the process, I recommend that you let go and unleash the chakra that the Sage has given you, it will help with the process of surviving my bite and awakening what he called Six Paths Sage Mode." She said to me, before absentmindedly mumbling. "To think that one could even go further beyond, fascinating."

To that I don't bother with words, simply nodding my head. I let go and stopped suppressing my full chakra. Once I do so, she bites me in the neck, in a non-lethal area thankfully. She bit me in the same spot Orochimaru did during the Chunin Exams 3 years ago. And damn does it feel strange, having what I can feel as pure natural energy flowing through me when that used to be Orochimaru's natural chakra.

(Drug trip)

Once that finished flowing through I could feel my eyes opening, I didn't even notice that I closed them in the first place. Though a bit sore in the neck.

"Oh my, now that hasn't been a power I've felt since the Sage of the Six Paths reached out to me a few days ago, but that was purely spiritual. I have to say that without a doubt you are by far the most powerful sage, human or snake, that Ryuuchi Cave or anywhere else has produced, with the only exception being the Sage himself." She said as she peered at me with, what I could tell, a fascinated curiosity.

From what I remember of Naruto's feats upon gaining that form in addition to what Sasuke has on top of that I'd certainly agree. Hahaha! And a few days ago? That would be around the time that I got inserted into Sasuke in the first place. Geez, such big changes in so little time. (Though it feels far longer for some reason).

"And as for that bite on your neck," she says after seeing me rub at it, "I figured that I'd do you a favor and apply a proper mark on you, not one of the Tenbin's or Orochimaru's inferior recreations, but one from the Snake's of Ryuchi Cave. What I gave you is the Heaven and Earth Seal but refined by using our unparalleled knowledge of Senjutsu, making it far more effective than the human developed ones."

Ah! A bit loud, geez. But not her voice itself, more to say the surroundings around me. Now I know what Superman felt after his super senses kicked in, in terms of them being overwhelming. Except, I already had gotten used to such senses as via having Sasuke's experience with them and using them while walking around. But Senjutsu was a different matter entirely. While I did have memories of using the Curse Mark to access Orochimaru's Nature Chakra, there was a difference of worlds apart between that and using Six Paths Sage Mode, and it wasn't as easy as it was for Naruto to transition from 'normal' Sage Mode into Six Paths Sage Mode. I could sense the Natural Energy all over the Cave, all of the snakes here, Jugo, and Hakuja Sennin here being a beacon with how much of it that's around her. Essentially I had total awareness of my surroundings, and it was by that I noticed the lack of any creature smaller than an insect-like bacteria and how my senses were limited to the area surrounding Ryuchi Cave.

"I see you finally noticed. While you were out, I had a few seals set up around to prevent you from sensing the outside of the Cave and a few to block out the presence of the smallest of creatures. The Sage warned me that you may receive senses far beyond those normally attained by sages and may prove debilitating for you. As you get used to your senses, I will weaken the seals until you are able to perfectly function. Now, anything I may help you with Summoner?"

"Thank you for that. And would you mind explaining the differences between the mark you gave me and the others? The only one I have experience with is Orochimaru's and that may work differently from what you gave me." It never hurts to know everything about your abilities after all, and while I knew things from seeing them in action there may be new things to be learned.

"It serves the same purpose as the others, making you no longer need to stay still to use Senjutsu, absorbing and balancing Nature Energy on your behalf. The differences are that this one is far more efficient and faster in gathering Nature Energy than the others, and the biggest one is the transformation. The Snake Sage Mode that you have access to also has elements of the Tenbin's Sage Transformation, but you'll retain serpentine-like qualities rather than their brutish ones."

Holy shit! She just did for me what took Kabuto a whole bunch of effort to do and something Orochimaru never could, jeez that has to suck for them but honestly I'm too busy enjoying the perks of unlimited Sage Mode. Something I'm gonna rub in Jiraiya and Naruto's faces since I can't do it to Orochimaru.

She must have sensed my excitement as she smiled as well. "Rejoice Planeswalker, you are the first true human practitioner of the Snake Sage Mode in centuries! In addition to this new version of it as well! But do not be too excited, you still have a few lessons to learn before you can be considered a proficient user of the art. Imparted to you should be knowledge of our greatest technique, Sage Art: Inorganic Reanimation."

She's right, similar to how the abilities of the Mangekyou and Rinnegan came to me but not instinctually, more akin to being sent over from email and being able to open it.

"Tagitsuhime!" Again, another humanoid snake woman pops up. Pale skin, dressed in a white and fancy Japanese robe with black long hair.

"Yes, Hakuja-sama. How may I be of assistance?" Tagitsuhime asks as she stands in front of the White Snake Sage.

"I need you to demonstrate the greatest of our Sage Arts to our summoner."

"Huh, to think that I would encounter another human trying to learn our Sage Mode so soon after the last one, but not only that but has actually done so. If you don't mind me asking, what makes you different, Summoner-san?" She asked.

"Nepotism." I simply said.

"Excuse me?" She asked with her eyebrows raised, a bit taken back by my answer.

"Well, you're not wrong Summoner. The Sage of Six Paths' word was the only reason I allowed you to skip the trials after all." Hakuja admitted rather bluntly.

"So you achieved one of the greatest feats in Senjutsu because of a handout, hm? Very well, I'll show you how to use that power. But do not expect it to come as easily." Tagitsuhime said before performing a single ox hand sign. My Rinne-Sharingan eye locks on to it as well as the shift of nature chakra it caused, ingraining the jutsu in my memory.

A set of instincts came in, the one Sasuke had honed and boosted by Six Paths Chakra as well as the one provided by Sage Mode.

I quickly moved out of my former position as a spike that rose from the ground missed the area I was in, and judging from where it was I imagine that while non-lethal it still would've hurt like a bitch. I turn to give Tagitsuhime a look. Not a glare as that would imply that spike would've threatened me at all, but one I usually gave Suigetsu, 'really?'. In return she mere gave me a coy smile.

"It seems that your sensing ability is rather strong to sense my attack. As you can see, with Inorganic Animation, I breathed life into the Cave to use as a weapon to attack you. This works by filling the atmosphere with Natural Energy. Now that you've seen it used by a true master, have you gotten it down novice, or are you in need of-" She finds herself interrupted as she is quickly sucked into the ground. "-another demonstration…" She blinks for a few moments before realizing what just happened, glaring up at me with my hands in a repeat of her motions. "You! You can't just do that!"

"And why not. Surely a true master outta be able to sense the use of Natural Energy, especially by one as undeserving as I." I say with a shit-eating grin while looking down at her. That'll teach you to disrespect my nepotism skills. As for the sinking into the ground, I stole it from the once shown most OP Earthbending move in Avatar the Last Airbender, General Fong I think his name was. But rather than using the motions of my arms and legs like Earthbenders did, I copied the snake woman's motions by placing my hands on the ground and doing as she said with the basis of the Hiding Like a Mole jutsu to pull her down.

Though I do find Inorganic Animation interesting when compared to using regular ninjutsu. Ninjutsu allows people to impact their environment in a certain way while the use of Inorganic Animation could let you use your environment in its entirety for an impact, assuming your location allows for it anyway.

"Because attacking abruptly is my thing." To that Tagitsuhime just rises up from the ground without much effort, with not even a speck of dirt on her as she did. "Well, it seems that you do possess some skill, far more than any human and even most snakes on their first try I'll admit. But my sisters and I are not the ones who hold the trials for Senjutsu without reason, as we are the greatest practitioners of Senjutsu behind Hakuja Sennin-sama herself!" She exclaims with no small amount of pride.

"You seem awfully insistent on those trials meaning something. If me skipping them rustles your jimmies that much then I'll do yours. Besides, it's not like I'll lose my Sage Mode or anything like that," I quickly turn to Hakuja. "Right?"

"Oh no, no. The worst that happens is that she'd eat you out." Hakuja said with a smile that knew what she was saying.

"Oh my, I fail to see how that serves as a deterrent from one so beautiful."

"Hakuja-sama! No!" Tagitsuhime screams in embarrassment before turning back to me, her cheeks red despite being cold-blooded. "What she meant to say is that I'd eat your chakra, and nothing else. I don't find the taste of humans to be appealing at all, not since then…" Whatever she was about to say, probably some painful memory, was quickly dropped. "But enough of that, if you wish to prove that you somewhat deserve your power I'll begin with my stage of the trials. I'll need to bite your neck first."

"My my, so eager to give me a hickey already. Though I doubt that you can out do Hakuja Sennin, I welcome you to try." I say which drew another laugh from the White Snake Sage herself as well as a bit of sputtering from Tagitsuhime.

"I never said I was going to bite your neck, just give me your hand." And seeing that I was about to say something she quickly interrupted me. "And I don't mean your hand in m-marriage or anything like that!" Upon seeing me chuckling and Hakuja laughing, Tagitsuhime started grumbling "You are getting far too much enjoyment out of this."

"Well what can I say, it's quite fun watching you go from high and mighty to a blushing mess is quite-" I start to reply but quickly notice when she moved. What I saw in front of me looked as real as a living person could be, akin to a Bushin, but I saw a strange movement towards the ground she was standing on and could sense that she wasn't there. She was underground moving towards me. I already knew her intentions so I allowed her to continue with them.

"HA!" Tagitsuhime yells once she bursts out of the ground, hands raised in the air even.

"ahhh. what a surprise. Heh."

"That was supposed to be a surprise attack, how did you see through it so quickly!"

"To be honest I noticed that you did something then it was simply a matter of sensing where you were to figure out what you planned."

"Quite impressive Summoner. Not many would expect such a thing, especially newcomers to sensing." She praised, with slight reluctance.

"Thank you. Would that be enough to get your seal of approval then?" I asked.

"Not yet, get through my trial and I'll consider you mostly deserving. Despite not truly earning it you can certainly use Senjutsu effectively."

"It helps that I had practice with a bastardized version of it, even if it was far inferior. Anyway," I hold out my hand. "I believe it's time that we get this over with Tagitsuhime."

With that, she simply grabbed onto me and bit my shoulder. After that I could feel the beginning of a genjutsu being cast over me.

Once it fully takes hold of me I see a few individuals, a highly detailed Suigetsu, somewhat detailed Naruto, and vague but still readable Itachi, and already have a guess towards what kind of trial this was supposed to be.

I just shake my head at this.

"I understand why you did it but you are genuinely an idiot." I say before the illusion can say anything and throw a kunai at Itachi.

I turn to Naruto expecting some grand ol' speech, one right out of a shounen and befitting one of the legendary Talk no- "Hokage Dattebayo!" Or that, I could also get classic Naruto. Again I just throw a kunai at him and move on.

"To be perfectly honest I have no idea why I'm even here. Buuut if I'm important enough to be here clearly I must be quite important to you, eh Sasuke." Vision Suigetsu greeted, his voice and mannerism the most similar to how I remembered him, or perhaps it's how the original Sasuke saw him.

"You are the first person I met since waking up besides Hagoromo, not that I'd ever tell you that tho, so it makes sense that you're here. But honestly, there's not much value you can add here. By the way, your swords are dumb."

"You can't go one day without disrespecting them, can you?"

"Nah."

"I'll see you in the real world then, Sasuke. Or you'll see me there. Dammit, this is confusing." Suigetsu says before turning into water, landing with a splash of water before fading away. And with that, the last illusion is gone.

Not gonna lie this was a bit of a waste. I'm legitimately surprised that I didn't see my past self or some remnant of the actual Sasuke. Then again I was for the most accepting of this new situation, which was leagues better than dealing with the shit show of 2020 and so on, and Sasuke was in the Pure World and probably found peace with the rest of his family. Though I'm not sure what would he take worse, that I'm running around in his body or the truth of the Uchiha Massacre.

Hmm, it seems that despite the illusions leaving I'm still here. Well, then it's time to break out ol' reliable. 'Kai!'

"How!? How did you get through it so quickly!? This trial wasn't supposed to end until you faced the doubts and confusion in your heart. Either succeeding and getting out, or failing and me eating your chakra! Or since you're quite favored I'd just let you go. Still, there has not been once in all my years of doing this a third option happening."

"You see, I'm a simple fellow with a simple goal and the means to fulfill it, so no need for doubt or confusion in my heart, I know what I want and am more than willing to do whatever I deem necessary to get it. And lastly, and most importantly, you tried to cast a genjutsu on an Uchiha, it doesn't tend to end well for most people." I said, finishing off with the trademark Uchiha smirk.

"You. You are one of the most frustrating humans I have had to deal with, and I had to deal with Orochimaru and his incessant whining over never mastering our Sage Mode."

"I can't imagine his trials being better than mine."

"No, you are just the most irritating. That man was just nightmare fuel. So I suppose I was wrong in there never being a third option, just a case I very much wish to forget. But enough of that, you passed my trial so I now consider you to be mostly deserving of Senjutsu. Anyway, with that all said and done, I'll start teaching you the basics of proper Senjutsu use. After all, dropped into incredible power you may be, talent without training is nothing."

"Very well, I'm rather eager and ready to learn Tagitsuhime-sensei." I said with a smile.

"Sensei eh, what brought upon this? Some proper respect at last?" She inquired with her eyebrow raised.

"I'm always respectful with those who have something to teach. My favorites, in particular, being those with a stick and some leather, one of which you got plenty of alr- You know, for a cold-blooded creature you turn red an awful lot, could it be that I'm making you all hot and bothered."

To that, she was red for a bit before she sighed, closed her eyes and started chuckling. "Oh, then you'll love me as there will be sticks. All you can ask for and more." She ends with another chuckle before sinking into the ground. Then all of the walls became sharp, like spikes and spears and anything else that could be called sharp. And rapidly heading in my direction hoo boy.

------

Following that opening move, Tagitsuhime proceeded to demonstrate the rather varied and destructive uses of Inorganic Animation. Of which would've definitely skewered most A ranks/jonin and left an injury or two on a S rank.

To best describe how it went, I'd say it was like Undertale except I was the heart and the Cave was the box and projectiles. So it was easy enough to deal with once I got used to it, before quickly descending into a fan game and then Touhou tier of bullet hell. Her constant attempts to drag me underground every time I touched a spike that was still connected to the Cave was also annoying but I found it funny that she was still salty over my first use of Inorganic Animation.

The main reason I even got hit, glancing blows at most before, was because Hakuja was cheating, biased referees I swear, by dropping the seals as time went on, allowing me to sense much more of my surroundings. Which proved to be quite distracting/disorienting at first when trying to play a game of everything is lava, even more so when I was ordered to keep my eyes shut as to solely rely on my sensing upon halfway though. But what better way is there to get used to something than to get it and be thrown into the thick of it? The bright side of that however is that I learned how to use my fingers and feet to channel enough natural energy briefly for Inorganic Manipulation to aid me in my defense and slight attack, using the parts of the Cave that were trying to hit me as my shield, leaping point, and occasional sword.

My reason for me hardly attacking is so I didn't accidentally kill Tagitsuhime, despite wanting to get her back for the hassle of having to avoid anything solid in the cave. But I did give her a few hits, when she wasn't staying deep underground as if that wasn't cheap and against the spirit of the thing. Not going to lie I'd much rather deal with Kabuto, at least he isn't as experienced with Inorganic Animation as she was and I was free to kill him, since I have Truth-Seeking Orbs to deal with the Edo Tenseis if I was ever in such a scenario.

Oh yeah, those. I also used those a lot. The Truth-Seeking Orbs were my one friend during that whole ordeal, being the only physical thing I can trust not to betray me to Tagitsuhime. Not to say that I couldn't just take control from her, I certainly had enough power to do so, but I didn't have the skill so she either took back control or the many pieces of the cave I was trying to use blew up from me putting in too much chakra. But by the end, my skill had improved quite nicely. I wasn't better than her, who had been doing this for who knows how long, but thanks to being enough of a genius to pick it up and then having to use a lot I certainly got good with Inorganic Animation.

"You know, there hasn't been this much damage in the cave since we've fought a war here. Daughter of mine I expected better from you, all this destruction and he only has a few scratches on him." Hakuja scolds, more upset at her now apparent daughter for the lack of damage to me than the cave since she easily fixed it back up once we were done. And I guess it'd make sense that Tagitsuhime along with her sisters were the daughters to the White Snake Sage, it explains the 'hime' in their names and them all being good with Senjutsu.

"I could've sworn I saw some blood. And I know I hit you hard enough for at least bruises." Tagitsuhime grumbled as she glared at me after taking in my appearance. She was right about the bruises, but the nice thing about Six Paths Sage Mode was the healing factor that, while not as good as Naruto's or Madara's due to not having a fucking Biju to beef it up, was certainly more than good enough to make minor injuries a thing of the past, as long as I had chakra at least.

I'm touched that you're so concerned about my well-being, but there's no need to worry too much about me. Even though I am a bit sore. It'll heal soon, probably sooner than I can explain, but hey! I don't mind being taken care of." I assured with a wink, looking away sheepishly when I noticed she was staring daggers into my face. Well, it was kinda cute…

Tagitsuhime huffed, crossing her arms and turning her head away before looking back at me, "Summoner you are quite a pain, but I will admit that you have done rather well to keep up with me," She praises before her face turns angry with her next couple of words. "But do not think that I didn't notice that you were holding back. Of course, I know that your full power would've destroyed Ryuchi Cave in its entirety had you used it, but the least you could've done was not hold back so much, otherwise, I could hardly claim to have beaten you if the only effort you've shown was towards avoidance and the use of those damn orbs of yours for defense." She growled out, glaring at the Truth-Seeking Orbs hovering behind me. It was quite a surprise for her when she noticed and then tried to use Inorganic Animation on my Truth-Seeking Orbs, only for them to completely no sell her attempts. Despite Senjutsu and physical force being their only weaknesses, Tagitsuhime had neither of which were sufficient enough in strength to overcome them, especially when my Senjutsu chakra was beyond her own. To say that this pissed her off might be putting it a tad bit lightly, but it sure was satisfying to watch the bustedness of the Orbs in action. Before Hakuja lifted more seals which let me sense the Natural Energy of the bacteria which gave me a slip or three.

"Do not think that I am letting this go." She hissed out, pointing a finger in my face as she glared at me, "Just because I have given up on winning against you now doesn't mean that I cannot try to later. For now, I wish you a good day, Summoner. It seems that I have much to improve on if I am to do better the next time we face, I haven't had such a challenge in a while. Now then, I shall look forward to facing you again." Tagitsuhime said before bowing toward her mother and walking away. I simply wave as she goes.

"And since when do you walk? I thought you'd either slither away or go through the ground." I asked.

"I have these legs for a reason do I not? As you can clearly see, I am using them." Tagitsuhime replied as she looked back at me.

"I hardly saw you use them with how often you'd like to hide in the ground. Perhaps the next time we meet, you can give me a thorough demonstration of how those legs work, hm?" I tease with a grin.

She rolled her eyes at me, and it seemed that I was losing my effect, "Perhaps I may consider it if you can use your mouth as well as you run it. Though I wouldn't count on it, Summoner." Tagitsuhime snorted but smirked slightly as she walked off. It took me a moment to realize that she actually was smiling as opposed to blushing madly as she had before.

"Well, well, I didn't expect you to bite back after all your previous reactions." I chuckled as I waved her off.

With my goodbyes said I turned toward Hakuja Sennin whose attention was towards the direction of her daughter. Before she then shifted it towards me.

"You have quite the effect on her, Planeswalker. Not many snakes have spoken so openly with Tagitsuhime or her sisters due to their status as my children, either out of fear or respect for it. Of course, it is to be expected from them, but it has been a while since they've interacted with humans in such a manner. So I thank you for your levity." She said with her serpentine mouth in a smile. Before she went back to normal as she then got serious. "And now your time here comes to a close. You have learned to a sufficient degree on how to utilize the art of Senjutsu. As you are now you should be more than capable of fulfilling your goals. Now go, ensure that Kaguya Otsutsuki can never threaten us! And go, knowing that as our summoner, we will take care of you as you will take care of us." Sounds fair enough, although I do wonder if that will still apply once I leave this world, probably for the best to keep in touch at least.

Before I am ready to go, I lower myself back into the standard Snake Sage Mode. It was one thing to walk around as an Indra or Asura reincarnate with Six Paths Chakra, there was always a possibility or something close to it happening on its own despite it being unlikely, and it could be rationalized that neither knew the full truth. But it was another thing to have one of them walking around with the powers of both. And I really didn't want Zetsu to go into hiding or pull some panicked emergency plan of some sort.

I simply nod with a little bow and with that,

'POOF'

I am sent back to the Elemental Nations all the more different.

I find myself in the same place I was before I was reversed summoned, though the sky had started to darken, and find Karin and Suigetsu right in front of me.

"Sasuke! You've been gone for three hours, geez. Anyway, what took you so long, and what happened to Jugo?" Suigetsu asked, who seemed to have been in the middle of some minor training with his sword while I was gone. Yikes, I was gone a lot longer than expected, for which I'm just glad nothing happened. Next time I definitely need to leave a Shadow Clone or a few elemental ones behind.

"Better yet, why is it that your chakra can never stay the same? The first time I met you, you were a normal genin, the next time you had a piece of Orochimaru on you, next you felt so alien, then that alien feeling turns otherworldly, now it's that yet all too natural! Which is funny because most shinobi don't go through such drastic changes in their chakra in such a short time!" She gets a little manic so I put my hands on her shoulders to keep her steady. "Ah, but I'm sure you already have an explanation so please forgive me for freaking out a little, I'm just concerned."

"I'm alright Karin, in fact, this is the best I've ever been. What you're feeling right now is my newfound Senjutsu chakra that I've attained via Snake Sage Mode." I leave out the mention of Six Paths to limit any risk of Zetsu or Obito somehow overhearing it. Speaking of which, I use to check my surroundings for signs of life. Of which I find not many as an area like the wastelands wouldn't support as much life as a forest can, it's through this that I don't sense any human or human-sized plant life. Good to have.

"Senjutsu, that's what that was. It feels so different from what I know of it from Orochimaru's use of it. But of course, when it comes to you, things always feel better." Karin said, grabbing onto me to prove her point.

"And as for Jugo, the Snakes have temporarily taken him in. It turns out that his clan was a part of Ryuchi Cave long ago like I said, but were kicked out due to bad blood, so right now they're teaching Jugo of his clan's history and how to properly control his abilities as a favor to me. The White Snake Sage herself told me that the next time we saw him that he'd be in full control of himself." I continue with my explanation.

"Ah, so we won't have to deal with a rampaging monster now or in the future, that's good. As much as I can appreciate a good rampage, it's typically when I won't end up on the receiving end. But I do have a bigger concern, why do you have the Curse Mark again, and what's up with your skin and eyes?" Suigetsu narrowed his eyes when he mentioned the Curse Mark. Which is a fair concern, with how powerful I am now it would be a disaster to deal with Orochimaru in control of it. And my new features didn't help with that worry either.

"Ah, that. Before you worry or go crazy, Orochimaru is still very much non-existent or very dead. What I have here is a perfect replica of Jugo's mark, which was applied to me by the White Snake Sage so I could use Sage Mode without worrying about turning to stone or a snake. My skin and eyes are also from Sage Mode." Of course, that only applies to my base eye with it gaining a yellow snake-like slit, the Rinnegan still hidden with a Henge. As for my skin, it resembled what Kabuto looked like, without the partially scaly skin and but still having horns at the side of my head. I even had the option to grow out a snake tail but chose to leave that alone until later as it's strange. Strange because I'm used to such a feeling due to having previously grown those wing hands, which I also have back, as well as the option to do all that Jugo did. Still feels weird that I only now noticed how much my body has changed once I left Ryuchi Cave, though my focus was drawn mainly towards Senjutsu for most of my time there.

"Good, good. Well now that we're done with Jugo for now and you've got a new look, again, what now?" Suigetsu asked.

"Simple, as I've said before, our next destination will be to the Land of Sound. As for our goal, to clean up any loose ends left from Orochimaru's time alive and keep anyone there from doing something stupid, like unleashing a murder plague or starting a civil war. Basically, we'll put any foolish ambitions, be they his or anyone else's, to rest." And with that said we made off to the next stage on-

"Great, now go summon your giant chakra warrior." Suigetsu interrupted, halting our steps. "If we hurry, the nearest town or village would only be an hour or so away and may have some decent food for us before nightfall, because these rations just ain't shit."

"We won't be using the Perfect Susanoo," I said, a bit sad honestly.

"What?!" Suigetsu yelled, clearly not too enthused by the idea of having to walk after experiencing the convenience of air travel. Trust me buddy I have it way worse, haha. Sigh "Whhhyyy?" He cried out in mock agony. To be fair I wouldn't want to walk in a wasteland either.

"Unfortunately the sky is cleared of clouds at the moment, so it'd gain far too much suspicion to use it. Eventually, we'd have to land and I'd much rather not advertise that I can become something on par with a Biju in size. So once more your ears will have to greet the beat of feet."

"Nooooooooo." Whether or not that was in response to my little rhyme or the news, probably both, I didn't care much.

So we made off to the nearest place of civilization, to restock and some rest before we made our way to the Village Hidden in the Sound. It was a far distance from here so we'd certainly be needing it. But that also gave some time for training as well, these two could certainly use some, and with that thought, a devilish grin grew on my face.

###########################################################################

I won't lie, out of all of the chapters written so far, this feels the most like filler. And a bit raw but honestly I just wanted to get this out from a while ago, so I may make a few changes here or there (probably the ending I'm not too thrilled with it). This was legit supposed to be around 4 to 5k words, but I got too much into characters interacting for my own good, yeesh.

Originally these parts were much shorter. But I also wanted to give Jugo some attention before leaving him in Ryuchi Cave for a little while. At first, I just had the Snakes take him in with open arms but realized that it was way too simple, if it was that easy canon would've mentioned it, so I borrowed an idea from Narutoversity that I liked for his family history.

As for why Sasuke getting Sage Mode was so long, it was something that was originally much short but I introduced the other snakes because Shippuden was bare on the details for the Snakes and I liked some of the ideas Boruto introduced so I took the Snake sisters and added them in. I also added more detail since summons are rather useful and personal allies, so things had to be cleared up before Sasuke could just work with them since he's not truly him. I also had Sasuke train with it outside of Ryuchi Cave, thanks to the new Seal allowing him to gather the chakra passively, but after I had the other snakes in I thought that it'd never hurt to learn Senjutsu in a safe place with people who know enough about it to help you should you need it.

Though they don't have much of a personality due to having so little screen time, I liked what I gave Tagitsuhime and she had some fun interactions with Sasuke.

Something good from this I could say is that I already have some of chapter 6 written out already, but again that'll take some time to write out.

So I thank you guys for reading! I hope some or most of you liked it and please leave your thoughts. Tell me what you liked, what you didn't, or any sort of suggestion/criticism really. And I hope you all have a good day.

Sasuke's abilitie/stats
This is a list detailing what abilities Sasuke has as of the current chapter. It'll be added to and update as the story goes along. (Note: this list isn't perfect and may be edited should I get a few details wrong, if I missed anything, or haven't explained it well enough. Feel free to correct/question me should you find anything wrong here.)

For the short of it, Sasuke has;

All the skills, jutsu, and experience of OG Sasuke Uchiha at the time of his battle against Orochimaru. (Chapter 1)

His canon Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinne-Sharingan abilities. (Chapter 1)

The ability to Planeswalk, can travel outside of the Naruto universe. (Chapter 1)

The Six Paths Chakra that Hagoromo would've given canon Sasuke and Naruto during the War. (Chapter 1)

A Sage Mode that is a combination of Kabuto's Sage Mode and Jugo's Sage Transformation. (Chapter 5)

Six Paths Sage Mode, the previously mentioned Sage Mode but greatly enhanced with Six Paths Chakra. Can use all abilities that come with it. (Chapter 5)

In more detail

Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan with a Rinne-Sharingan. EMS abilities are Amaterasu and Kagutsuchi. R-S ability is Amenotejikara. Can use all abilities that come with the Sharingan and Rinnegan. Can cast/break Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Blaze Release: Via use of Kagutsuchi to control and shape Amaterasu. This can be used for both offense and defense. Offensively: can be used over another ninjutsu or a weapon to increase its effectiveness, can form weapons made out of Amaterasu. Defensively; can form barriers that shield the caster and burn those who try to touch it (it's fire what do you expect?)

Sage Mode:

Modified Snake Sage Mode: Attained by surviving a bite from the White Snake Sage, which would normally grant one access to Snake Sage Mode. However, through knowledge of Senjutsu and Fuinjutsu, Hakuja Seninn granted Sasuke a combination of Snake Sage Mode and the Sage Transformation of the Tenbin Clan.

Snake Sage Mode: This grants Sasuke the use of Senjutsu and due to being a Snake Sage, he was able to learn Sage Art: Inorganic Reanimation (which lets him use natural energy to breathe life into inorganic substances and control them),

Sage Transformation: Able to gather Natural Chakra without needing to stay still, to use the body shifting abilities to form weapons or limbs (Hand wings and snake tail), can consume other humans to heal himself and replenish his chakra or do the reverse for the opposite effect to heal others.

Six Paths:

Six Paths Chakra: The chakra of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of the Six Paths that has been given to Sasuke. Drastically improves the power of those who are bestowed it.

Six Paths Sage Mode: Formed from combining the use of Six Paths Chakra and Sage Mode. Six Paths Chakra further enhances Sasuke's Sage Mode. Massive enhancement of all abilities, senses, and durability, grants use of Truth-Seeking Orbs, grants use of Creation of All Things (yet to be used), Six Paths Senjutsu, can use all five basic nature transformations and make perfect use of Yin–Yang Release (yet to be used), immunity to all ninjutsu except for those enhanced with Senjutsu, can fly.

Interlude 1
Village Hidden in the Sound

It was known that as Orochimaru's sickness progressed, the time would come for him to possess a new body. Usually, it'd be the body of the strongest of his followers, experiments, or prisoners, all of them being those he had firmly in his grasp. And as expected he'd possess the body and move on until that body too withered away.

So when it came time for Orochimaru to take the body of one who wasn't so willing, one who had quite the will of his own, it was expected that it'd result in a clash. Between the desire to gain the eyes that the snake had sought after for so long to fulfill his ambition against the Uchiha's desire for revenge for a betrayed and slaughtered family.

It was a clash whose outcome held a great deal of suspense for the village. After all, it was Orochimaru who was the reason it had formed in the first place and what held it together. It was also his power, or rather waning of it, following the events of the Konoha Crush that was causing the village to fall into a decline. The loss of a good portion of their military during the attack on Konoha and the loss of the Sannin's arms broke the image of invulnerability and power that had drawn, or forced, shinobi under Oto's banner and had caused some to doubt or even lose faith in the Sannin. Which led to more shinobi defecting as time passed by. Yet the core of Oto remained, those who had been of the Land of Rice before its destruction at the hands of Sasori of the Red Sand and his one hundred puppets, either out of loyalty, appreciation or simply a desire to keep their home strong and under some form of stability. Of course there was a bit of fanaticism as well, but that was almost always the case when came to Hidden Villages.

And there were the issues regarding the increasing eradication of their bases within or near the Lands of Fire and Wind. Despite not declaring war, Konoha and Suna were intent on hurting Oto however they could. Not to say that other villages haven't also acted out against any Sound bases they found in their lands, Kumo and Iwa did so whenever an experiment was successful enough to be used for themselves. Kiri usually left them alone as long as they weren't poaching those with Kekkei Genkai from them or didn't cause any trouble for the local area, being much too busy to deal with them during and following their Civil War.

As mentioned, the Village Hidden in the Sound was on the decline through various conflicts, within and without. Whether it would continue to fall into it or rise from it was heavily dependent on Orochimaru and his ability following this battle.

And what much of Otogakure had expected, some with dread and some with hope, was that Orochimaru would wield the eyes that would bring his ambition to fruition. To raise him back into his former glory and potentially beyond.

Of course, there was the possibility that the Uchiha may avoid losing his body and may even end up killing the snake, though it wouldn't last for long. Sasuke Uchiha wasn't the only one with the Curse Seal on him. Still, one should always expect the unexpected after all.

But no one could have possibly expected for every Curse Mark to suddenly and spontaneously combust into flames. Black flames.

Which of course had the village on high alert for an attack from Itachi Uchiha along with Kisame Hoshigaki and potentially the entire Akatsuki as well. Yet after a while, the only harm found to be done at all was the pain caused by the Amaterasu burning away the Curse Mark from the skin of its users and the portion of Orochimaru's chakra within them. And that had led to the idea that Itachi Uchiha must've somehow found a way to kill Orochimaru, permanently, once and for all.

At least potentially. Which was why, in an isolated room with a scroll marked with a sealing script of some sort along with a piece of scaly flesh stood Dosu Kinuta, Guren, and a bound and unconscious adult Genin. It was all here at this moment, to confirm if the Sannin had truly died.

———-

"Are you certain that you have made the correct preparations? I'd do it myself but I've never been good enough with Fuinjutsu and Jutsushiki for it to matter much." Guren said.

"Well, while I possess no true gift with the art, I do hold a passing competency. After all, I've made certain that every detail matched exactly how Orochimaru had set this ritual up the last time I had seen him perform it." Dosu replied.

'Hard not to remember when it was done in front of you to your comrades, myself being spared only because of my disappearance in the finals of the Chunin Exam would've brought suspicion upon Sound before the invasion. Also a reminder of what happens when you've lost your use. Not that either mattered much now.' He thought, reflecting on distant yet relevant memories.

"And tell me how exactly would all this work. All I know is that this jutsu allows you to resurrect the dead with the cost being the body of a living person and a piece of who you're resurrecting." She asked, not entirely aware of the Edo Tensei jutsu.

"You're right on a basic level but there's more to it. This jutsu brings the soul and the spiritual chakra of the deceased back into the living and needs an alive person to supply a body and the physical chakra, as the dead need a new supply of it. And a piece of the person you intend to resurrect. But other than those two and the knowledge of how to perform the jutsu itself, the Edo Tensei is fairly simple once you know how to use it." Dosu explained, recalling what he remembered from reading off of Orochimaru's notes on the Edo Tensei. "Of course, there are limitations to this. As I mentioned, the resurrected will only have the physical chakra of the sacrificed. This is why when Orochimaru summoned the First and Second Hokages they weren't at their full potential, as individuals with high enough chakra are rare and either difficult or costly to sacrifice. But since we don't need Orochimaru at full power, this Genin will do fine for us. That and these restriction seals."

"Assuming that he isn't still alive of course." Guren said, pointed out.

"Yes, but as much of a cockroach Orochimaru has shown himself to be over the years, not even he could cling on to life against the all-consuming flames of Amaterasu, especially since they've apparently proven effective enough to reach his chakra even in greatly distant areas. Still, it wouldn't hurt to make sure of it? And if it worked, we'd have him under our complete control, to do with as we pleased."

"I suppose it wouldn't. Regardless, this situation still doesn't bode well for the village with either result when both mean the same thing. Orochimaru would have fallen from grace and some are getting bold or losing confidence."

"No, it doesn't. But the village under Orochimaru wasn't built to handle such an eventuality. Yet, under different management…"

"You still plan to stick around? To keep running this place?" Guren asked with a raised brow.

"Of course. This place was my home, and though it was a distant memory I still remember how it was before, before Orochimaru came to power, and even before Sasori ruined it all. It was a vaguely decent life. Call me simple or naive if you'd like, foolish even, but I truly want to rebuild the Land of Rice, as I once naively thought Orochimaru had intended." Dosu said, a bit of determination laced in his words.

"I'm not one to judge on what one wishes to do with themself, but it's respectable that you found something precious to work towards. I can relate, though I don't envy you in handling all of that." Guren said with a chuckle towards his unofficial role in the village.

"I could tell, considering that I had to do most of the running of the village since all forms of governance beyond being a figurehead or ordering minions around were beyond you, the official second in command."

"The second in command is still allowed to delegate, are they not, unofficial second in command? Besides, I was brought up to be a shinobi, a damn good one at that. So in terms of strength, I'm more than qualified to be Otokage, in terms of almost everything else, not so much. Especially not the fucking politics, Orochimaru left a shitshow fir us to clean up with that…" Guren freely acknowledged. "But enough of this, we're just stalling."

"Yes, you're right. I just can't help but feel some trepidation at resurrecting the dead. And out of anybody the least deserving of it." Dosu admitted.

With that said, Dosu began the jutsu with the clasp of his hands. The seal markings on the ground glowed around the unconscious Genin, and as it did what appeared to be pieces of white paper began to rise from the circle of ink and latch onto the man's skin. Even while knocked out the genin screamed out in pain until he was entirely covered by the white flakes.

It was in this brief moment that held both Dosu and Guren in anticipation, the moment of truth.

A few moments later, the white flakes began to fall off, leaving the Genin still alive though quite significantly drained and aged by at least a decade.

Regardless of the lack of Orochimaru before them, Guren didn't hesitate in moving towards the comatose Genin and placing the control seal upon him. It's only when the seal attached to the kunai did nothing did she realize what this meant.

"Dosu!-"

"I know, I know! But you have to see what I'm looking at, because I can hardly believe what I'm seeing, especially what I'm hearing."

Guren, despite knowing she was more powerful than him, knew that his senses were on par with her own, though likely surpassed her in hearing. So it was with great effort that she honed her sight and hearing until she was able to find what Dosu was witnessing.

It was… ash of some kind, no, dust, from the blackest of black, most certainly from Amaterasu. It briefly flowed in the wind before it faded away into nothingness, literally disappearing before their eyes.

(Screams of the Remnant Souls)
(Infinity War dust sound effect)

Yet what was even more bizarre was what she was hearing. It was faint to the ears yet if able to pick it up was rather vocal to the soul as if it were a chorus trying one last time to be heard before being snuffed out forever. Yet it was one voice that stood out the most among them, of the voices being lifted away to some place, this one wasn't.

".....I was to receive everything!....." The final remnant of Orochimaru cried out in soul-crushing agony and sorrow before it faded away into nothing.

Guren felt a small degree of conflict within her, from a part of her old self, at seeing the man she once devoted herself to fade away. Yet a greater part of her felt a numb sense of relief. She was finally free from her service, and now she could fully devote herself to Yukimaru and properly make amends to the boy and his mother.

All Dosu felt was satisfaction. Though he may not have done the deed himself and gained revenge for himself and his former teammates, he was content with being able to witness the Sannin's final moments and savor the despair he felt from him.

'For the man who sought to have it all, only for that desire to result in him fading away into nothing, forever. How deliciously ironic. And far more fitting than any death I could've given him.' Dosu thought.

It was in stunned silence as they processed what had just occurred.

"Lady Guren!" Until a Sound ANBU yelled as he burst through the door.

"Seeing as I said that under no circumstances was anybody to enter this room besides an emergency, this better be damn important." Guren demanded, now snapped out of her processing.

"We've received reports that a pair of Akatsuki have been attacking our hideouts and are rapidly advancing towards Oto!" The ANBU urgently reported.

"Akatsuki!? Now? Of all the times!" Dosu briefly raged, any previous good mood put down at the news, before collecting himself. "Oh forget it. Do we at least know who these Akatsuki are and what they want?"

"Yes, they're Kakuzu of the Earth Grudge Fear and the Apostle Hidan. Kakuzu said that he wanted Orochimaru's body, or failing that, he wanted Sasuke Uchiha."

"Neither of which we have or know the location of. And just about how much time do we have until they arrive?" Dosu asked.

"Our analysts predicted based on where the initial report came from and when, and the possible speed we predict those two could move based on Lord Orochimaru's notes on them, to be… from a few days to a few hours."

"Get. out." Dosu ordered scathingly, not at all happy with what he heard. Despite Dosu taking an advisory role, the ANBU still obeyed as they knew that he spoke with Guren's authority. Also didn't want to deal with his displeasure in other ways as well.

"Lady Guren, Dosu sir! I have news!" Another ANBU said as he rushed into the room.

"I swear to Kami and every other deity on this continent, besides Jashin since its responsible for some of this, if Konoha and Suna decided that now was a good time to invade!-"

"No sir! Sasuke Uchiha alongside Suigetsu Hozuki and Karin Uzumaki are here in the village!"

"Oh." Dosu blinked, very much relieved that he wasn't dealing with two clusterfucks. "Well then, you'll have to forgive me. Recent events have been rather stressful." Dosu apologized, a bit sheepish for his outburst. "At least that solves one of our issues, now we'll just need to speak with him and we may just be able to solve the rest-"

"But I'm assuming that there's more judging that you look as unsettled as the other guy, isn't there?" Guren said, interrupting Dosu's optimistic hopes.

The ANBU nodded before adding on, "He walked in while holding Orochimaru's severed head while saying, and I quote, 'What's up bitches, Sasuke Uchiha here, and I killed Orochimaru. If any of you have a problem with it then come on down and I'll kick all of your asses.', end quote. And a few dozen shinobi didn't take too well to that."

To that Dosu just began to rub his temples while muttering 'kai' under his breath.

"I really do not envy you Dosu." Guren said, pitying her co-worker. She then turned to the ANBU and asked. "And you're sure that this is Sasuke Uchiha you're talking about here, because honestly this sounds totally unlike him, and more like something that Suigetsu would get up to."

"No, you're right. It's more up Suigetsu's alley than mine."

Dosu glared at Guren with his singular visible eye then turned it back to the ANBU before closing it and letting out a breath.

"Oh, good. He isn't killing anyone then. Which means that he's likely not here as an enemy, just showing off like the arrogant bastard that he is." Dosu said as matter of factly, though it was clear for all to hear the scathing underneath.

"You aren't wrong, though I do feel the need to point out that I was born well after wedlock."

"So," Sasuke Uchiha started with a clap after dispelling his Henge, with the smoke produced from the Henge revealing Karin Uzumaki and Suigetsu Hozuki once it faded away. "Since I killed the Otokage, does that make me the new Otokage or am I just a double missing nin now? This kind of situation wasn't listed in the Oto shinobi handbook so I'm not too sure on what the procedure is."

Dosu narrowed his uncovered eye at Sasuke while Guren just raised a brow, though her eyes were filled with suspicion. After a few moments of silence it was Dosu that answered him. "Officially, an attempt would either get you executed, experimented on, or, unofficially, if you were impressive enough, promoted. Though most of the latter two don't last long. But as per usual, you prove to be an exemption." Dosu answered plainly.

"And a successful attempt?" Sasuke asked with a bit of mirth.

"A complicated situation, as we both know Orochimaru well enough to know that he'd never account for such a possibility." Dosu said, a bit confused but willing to go along with the Uchiha's questioning.

"Then it seems like it'll be up to us to account for it now, won't it?" Sasuke said.

Akatsuki Meeting

"You're late." A silhouette of a man with rippled eyes pointed out with a stern tone.

"We were just finishing capturing the Four-Tails Jinchuriki when you contacted us. And then we had to tie him up to make sure he couldn't escape. It took us longer than expected but here we are." Another silhouette, of a taller man with white eyes, explained as he just appeared along with a shorter silhouette.

"Now that we're all here I can begin." Pain continued, now starting the long distance transmitted meeting. "I have some urgent information that I need to relay to you. Orochimaru has been killed."

"Hah! It's been 10 years since he left the Akatsuki. At least we've been spared the task of killing him ourselves. And who cares if he's dead? I'm sure that we all wanted him gone anyway, seeing as you didn't even penalize Itachi as you've done with Kakuzu for doing similar before. Honestly I wanted him gone as much as I wanted to see the Zombie duo eliminated."

"We're right here you fucking asshole!" A silhouette with pink eye and a covered one cursed out in offense.

"Do not come to me should you find yourself short of a limb." Another with green eyes said, also taking offense.

"Hidan and Kakuzu are our comrades, don't say such things." Pain chastised.

"It didn't stop Kakuzu from killing most of his, but I'm so sorry for what I said." Kisame mockingly apologized, before he asked, "That said, who nearly did them in?"

"It was the Hidden Leaf." White Zetsu said, in a light voice.
"Kakashi, the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, and Asuma Sarutobi's team." Black Zetsu followed up, in a much more heavy tone in stark contrast.

"Well now, it seems that your greedy nature was almost the end of you, wasn't it Kakuzu?" Kisame mocked.

"It'd be more accurate to say that it was your failure to capture the Nine-Tails all those years ago. Had you not failed we wouldn't have lost Sasori due in part to his interference against Deidara and nearly ourselves as well." Kakuzu rebuked.

"Well, do forgive us if Itachi and I weren't eager to face Jiraiya of the Sannin with Might Guy as his backup."

"You do not need to repeat what we have already reported years ago, Kisame." Itachi said to his partner. "But seeing as Kakuzu may need a reminder…"

"Yeah yeah," Hidan butt in before Kakuzu could reply, "An old geezer and some guy in spandex was too much for you two back then, but that little shit Jinchuriki grew up to be an absolute pain in that ass that we have to deal with now. Kakashi and those leaf shits were a huge pain but manageable, but that kid, ugh."

"Oh yes, they're extremely strong that team. Especially that Naruto Uzumaki. No wonder Deidara got pummeled by them." Tobi added in.

"Tobi! Keep running your mouth and you'll push me to my limit, hm!" Deidara threatened, not pleased with Tobi's comment.

"Hehe, your limit? Just calm down, Deidara. You just mean that you'll get explosive, right? As we all know, you have such a short fuse. I'd even go as far to say it's rather limited!" Tobi now 'nervously' said, seeking to appease Deidara's anger.

Only for that to fail. "How dare you Tobi! Hmm!" In fact, only worsening it.

"That's enough Deidara, you're only proving that Tobi of all people has a point." Pain scolded sternly.

"Haha, you got in trouble with our 'leader'!"

"But Tobi, you do talk too much. Show some respect and shut your mouth." Pain said, turning to scold Tobi as well.

"Oh, alright. Sorry!"

"And we're supposed to capture the remaining Jinchuriki with them?" Kisame drawled out.

Pain only sighed, not happy with Kisame as well. But not arguing against his words either.

"Well, to think that a single Jinchuriki is giving us so much trouble after how easily the others were dealt with."

"The Nine-Tails is the most powerful of the Biju after all, not to mention that the Jinchuriki was under the tutelage of Jiraiya for a few years, so it stands to reason that this Naruto would be so strong."

"Speaking of strength, killing Orochimaru would take someone with very special skills, so who did it?" Kisame asked

"Through our spies in the Hidden Sound, we have received word of his death. Though the rumors vary in detail, they are two commonly shared details. The killer being an Uchiha and inextinguishable black fire being the means of execution." Pain stated, ending off by staring intently at Itachi. His staring was soon joined by the rest of the group, their features all obscured yet their eyes perfectly clear and directed.

"For as much as I'd like to claim the pleasure, I had no hand in his death. So it seems that Sasuke has finally awakened the same eyes as myself." Itachi said.

"I thought as much. There were also rumors spread by escaped prisoners who were freed by Sasuke and his companions." Pain said.

"That's too bad. I wanted to be the one who took Orochimaru down, hm." Deidara commented.

"Sasuke's good, but I'd expect nothing less from Itachi's kid brother. Doing the same thing he did even if he was a little older but better as he actually got him, no offense Itachi." Kisame praised.

"None taken," Itachi said.

"He's in the process of putting together a team of his own. At the moment we are only aware of two members." Pain added on.

"What do you mean?" Kisame asked.

"You should remember who this is. One of the Hozuki brothers from the Hidden Mist." Pain said.

"Suigetsu? That's a name I haven't heard in a while." Kisame said with a hint of surprise.

"And Karin Uzumaki. Not much is known about her besides what the Uzumaki are known for, a strong life force, skill in Fuinjutsu, and the use of Adamantine Chains." Pain informed. "Sasuke will likely find more to join him, these two are the only ones that we know of since the hideout with the freed prisoners was his last known location."

"So you need to be on your guard, Itachi and Kisame. Odds are that he's targeting the two of you." He warned them before looking at the group as a whole. "That applies to the rest of you as well, as he may come after any of you for information on Itachi, and may potentially prove to be a threat to the Akatsuki as a whole, should he discover our plan, with his Mangekyou Sharingan and his current ability."

"Tch, his ability is hardly anything to talk about. Orochimaru was sick after all and couldn't even use his arms properly. I'll be sure to get this kid. I wanted to kill the snake after all." Deidara said.

"You'd best temper yourself, Deidara, lest you find yourself meeting Sasori's fate at the hands of a Sannin's apprentice. Like you already nearly did at the hands of Jiraiya's. It'd be a shame if it were Orochimaru's that fulfilled it." Itachi cautioned.

"You know, if you're trying to be a big brother now, your timing is pretty awful. At least I left my sibling with a display of my art to remember me by before ditching my home rather than some trashy genjutsu, hmm." Deidara mocked.

"Hn." Was Itachi's only reply as he barely looked at him.

"Don't you fucking 'hn' me damn it!" Deidara yelled, ticked off at being dismissed so easily, before letting out a sigh. "Regardless, It's a shame that Naruto's a Jinchuriki, he would've been a great apprentice. Plus he pissed Sasori off a lot with turning his puppets into true art with those exploding clones of his, hm." Deidara said, praising and lamenting the boy's skill. Kisame looked at Itachi with an eyebrow raised and unseen to all but his partner, a mouth holding in a chuckle as Deidara said this. "As for that Sakura bitch, I'll get her for what did to my man Sasori." Deidara swore intently while clenching his fists.

"Kisame, how about this Suigetsu? What kind of guy is he like, hm?" He asked after collecting himself, putting his focus back towards Sasuke and his team.

"It's been 10 years since I last saw him, he was a cute kid back then. Though I have heard that he's been called the reincarnation of Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Hidden Mist."

"Well they sure seem like an interesting lot don't they, hm?"

"Look, don't get involved, it's only going to stir up trouble alright!" Tobi overdramatically warned Deidara, before leaning rather close into his personal space. "I mean look at what happened to Kakuzu and Hidan when they tried it!" Tobi loudly whispered into Deidara's ear before being shoved off.

"I can hear you Tobi! Don't come to me for missing limbs either." Kakuzu said, having heard Tobi clearly and not appreciating what was said.

"You aren't going to like what'll happen if you try shit with me Tobi!" Hidan warned, just as appreciative as Kakuzu.

"Enough. Itachi, Kisame, hurry up and get the Four-Tails. We'll seal him at the same time as the Three-Tails." Pain ordered, which also served to signal the end to the meeting.

"Understood." Itachi said. Following that he left, his hologram fading away. Kisame soon joined after him. The two then went off into the rain to deliver the unconscious bodies of Han and Roshi, the containers of the Five-Tails and Four-Tails, for the extraction of the Tailed Beasts within them.

The only sounds that accompanied them were the raindrops. That, and Kisame's chuckles.

The Hoshigaki found the topic of Nine-Tails Jinchuriki funny as it was Itachi who first showed the Uzumaki that Exploding Shadow Clones existed in the first place. Drowned out by the raindrops but still hearable were Itachi's own brief chuckles, which only pushed Kisame into full blown laughter.

-----

"You're here. Alright, we'll begin the sealing with the Three-Tails." Pain said once Kisame and Itachi arrived with their assigned Biju. "Everyone, assemble. Now let's begin."

----

"Man, sealing a Biju is such a pain. And there's even more after this round too. Just thinking about it makes me tired." Tobi complained, feeling winded after helping to seal away two Tailed Beasts in succession.

"Now then, where to, hm?" Deidara pondered out loud.

"What do you mean, Deidara? I really hope it isn't what I think it is." Tobi fretted.

"Well now, I'm surprised that you can think at all. But yes, it is what you think it is."

"Frankly I don't think we should go after either one, we've already achieved our objective. We shouldn't even be messing with Sasuke Uchiha, who isn't even a Biju and thus not our concern, or the Kyuubi Jinchuriki with only the two of us."

"Are you kidding me? I owe them all some payback. The Nine-Tails needs to be properly shown the light of an explosion, Kakashi for taking my right arm, and Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno especially must be punished, hm. Sasuke for killing Orochimaru when I wanted to deliver the final blow and Sakura Haruno for the death of Sasori and the disrespect she's shown to his ultimate art."

"Weren't you just praising Naruto Uzumaki for blowing up his puppets!? So why exactly is her breaking them so bad? Heck, I'm surprised you're even acknowledging this Sakura lady when she didn't even fight you."

"Because while true art is an explosion, crafts such as Sasori's puppets and Konan's paper still deserve the respect that passionate art is due." Deidara explained, nodded over to Konan who raised an eyebrow but nodded back. "Which is why her smashing his ultimate puppet to bits like some tasteless brute and giving the remains to that poser with makeup is so infuriating to me, hm! As for me knowing her name, it's so that I can turn any grave with that name on it into true art, as payback to what she did to Sasori's last pieces of art."

"Ugh, great, once this guy decides, he just won't listen to reason." Tobi grumbled.

"Did you just say something?" Deidara asked, with a threat veiled beneath.

"Uh, no!"

"Hmph, good, then we're leaving." With that, Deidara's and then Tobi's holograms disappeared, signaling their disconnection from the communication.

"That Deidara has gotten so worked up. And all that fuss over going after your little brother or our target the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki. Are you ok with that, Itachi?" Kisame asked, jovial as usual on the outside but a little concerned as well on the inside.

Itachi's only answer was silence and his usual blank stare. Only a few knew that there was more behind that answer than mere cold indifference. Only a few six knew what it could be. And only a fewer two genuinely cared for it.

----

"All this talk about the Uchiha brat and Orochimaru has given me an idea." Kakuzu said after he and Hidan disconnected.

"You can't be serious. We just went bounty hunting and look at where that almost got us! Besides, by the time we even find the body, assuming that the Uchiha kid didn't take it himself or just burn the damn thing, it's gonna be well known that it wasn't your kill." Hidan complained.

"I'm not going to pass up one of the highest bounties ever known since the Fourth Hokage when it's practically ripe for the taking. Besides, Otogakure should provide a few decent replacement hearts with the amount of freaks it holds."

"Fiiinnneeee. But you're looking for the damn thing on your own! As for me, when we get there I'll get back to sacrificing, to thank Jashin-sama for not getting buried." Hidan compromised, a bit grumpy but soothed over the thought of getting to kill more people.

"Is that what you're calling me now? I'd appreciate taking your share in payment much more than those useless sacrifices."

"Go eat a dick, thinking you could even compare to Jashin-sama! And you got me into that mess in the first place you asshole!"

"Your ritual was what got you defeated by that Nara brat and a Shadow Clone, even with the eye I wasted on you."

"Bah, the Jashingan was a gift from him that would've been wasted on that one asshole from ancient history or by the other asshole from the same history I'm talking to who wanted to sell both."

"I still can't believe that you're sticking with that ridiculous name." Kakuzu said, a little dumbfounded at Hidan's naming sense.

"It fits considering how the other eyes are named! Especially with how it fits me as a follower of Jashin! Besides, how else could you explain it working just fine after I just shoved it into my eye, you heathen? Or how about the fact that it's imprinted into me, and you know that those leaf fuckers stabbed my eye out." Hidan said smugly once he thought he had one over Kakuzu.

"I'd give you more rational theories provided that I actually cared enough to, but I don't. Now stop your jabbering and let's get going." Kakuzu bluntly said as he was done with this conversation and made a move towards the Land of Rice, another bounty on his mind guiding him along.

And as they made their way, a crow with a note in its beak landed itself upon Kakuzu's shoulder.

Hoo boy it's been a while, but I'm back! And sorry that this isn't chapter 6 but I really wanted to put out this interlude, for two reasons. 1. This had more words put into it/was closer to being finished than chapter 6 and I wanted to get something out to you all rather than leave you on a months long hiatus as I did early on. 2. I wanted to test out Oto and Akatsuki, of course they aren't perfect by any means so I'm more than happy to hear any criticism you may have on them, Oto especially since I'm new to writing on such a large scale/politically at all. Still, since the story is in an AU Naruto world, I wanted to flesh things out a bit. I'll be fleshing Dosu and Guren out a bit more next chapter too. Also not much of a reason but I also wanted to set up a few things for chapter 6, a bit obvious I think but idk, and see what you think. And do forgive me if this seems a bit rough, I rushed a bit in getting this out, so I'll be sure to fix up any mistakes or issues found as time goes by.

(Btw, couldn't find any fan art of an older Dosu so for now just assume that he stuck with his look in Part 1 but grew a few inches.)

Considering changing Tobi's origin/identity a bit, maybe or maybe not idk. That's all I'll say on that.

And I'm sure that some of you really wanted to see Konoha/Naruto's point of view, trust me I really want to too and really considered including it here but this is long enough as is for not being a main chapter, so it may or may not be in the next interlude I'll write. Or maybe I'll just leave them a mystery until Sasuke reunites with them. I honestly don't know, there's a bit of pressure there and I don't want to disappoint. Either way I'll try my best when it comes up. Though it will be coming soon, either Interlude or main chapter.

Idk when chapter 6 will come out but I've got some time since I'm done testing (for now lol), so it's back to my regularly scheduled sporadic (though hopefully more in the future) updates lol.

Anyway, thanks to you guys for waiting and I thank you for reading. Please leave me any thoughts or criticism you may have and I'd be happy to hear/discuss with you about it.

I also made a cut bit into an omake since it was a bit too ridiculous to use, but I liked it enough to leave it in (beneath)

Omake/alt scene

"Hey Itachi." Kisame started while letting out a few chuckles that he had been holding in during the meeting.

"Yes, Kisame?" Itachi asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Weren't you the one who showed the brat that Exploding Shadow Clones existed in the first place, all those years ago?" Kisame asked with a grin.

"What of it?" Itachi asked back. His face and tone remained the same stoic expression but Kisame could tell that there was a slight smile in those words.

"I can't tell what would be funnier, Deidara finding out that you technically use his 'art' or the fact that you're the reason that Uzumaki kid is so explosive."

"Itachi, is this true?" Pain asked. Kisame's eyes widened as did Itachi, though slightly, at the sound of their leader's voice.

"You two are still connected, so we can still hear you, by the way." Konan helpfully explained.

"I did. Again, what of it?" Itachi said, hoping to draw attention away from the fact that he forgot to properly shut off the hologram on his end. Or rather that the feature was restricted since Pain was sick of people leaving in the middle of his speeches on pain and peace. 'Damn it Pain, I could be gorging on Pocky right now. Damn rules against eating during Akatsuki meetings.' Eating food also made his speeches harder to hear, which was the point, so that got banned too.

"What!" Kakuzu exclaimed, now even less pleased with the Uchiha's handling of the Nine-Tails.

"You asshole!" Hidan yelled, vulgarly sharing in Kakuzu's displeasure.

"WHAT!?" Deidara exploded, literally Tobi would later claim despite being unaffected by their closeness to the bomber. Out of everyone present Deidara was the most furious, and that would be an understatement.

"Hn." Which was Itachi's response along with a stoic wave in Konan and Pain's direction before quickly flipping Tobi off and disconnecting. Though ditching his Akatsuki ring on a crow and heading towards the nearest Pocky shop.

Konan waved stoically back as Tobi started balling their eyes out at Itachi's rudeness, both Deidara and Hidan started ranting about Itachi, and Kakuzu started arguing at Pain that Itachi should get his pay docked and penalized for this since he technically got Sasori killed (however distant and indirect it was). White Zetsu was thoroughly enjoying the mess that the situation had become while Black Zetsu looked thoroughly done with everything.

Pain glowered at Kisame as Itachi wasn't there to receive it and there was no point in glaring at a crow. That, and Kisame was in part to blame for this.

"You both will know pain." Pain promised through grinded teeth.

"Not as painful as having to manage these misfits, I'm sure. Good-bye!~" Kisame said as laughter swiftly overcame him. He waved Konan off and 'disconnected' the same way his partner had. Konan with a small smile waved the Hoshigaki back, and while Pain's face remained the same, miles away an anorexic man in a tower looked betrayed as his childhood friend waved off the current sources of his migraines.

"Oh boy, I do not envy you, 'Leader'-sama." Tobi, the other constant source of his migraines, said to Pain as everyone was too absorbed with themselves to notice their change in attitude.

Pain merely took it in stride as he continued to grind his teeth while Konan looked at him in concern.

At the same tower miles away, as five extra people who bore similar piercings, hair, and hair to Pain were synchronized in grinding their teeth, the anorexic man still had to heavily resist the urge to grind his own as he grinded half of his teeth off already and these ones he couldn't just replace with the Gate of Hell.

Sasuke’s abilities/stats
This is a list detailing what abilities Sasuke has as of the current chapter. It'll be added to and update as the story goes along. (Note: this list isn't perfect and may be edited should I get a few details wrong, if I missed anything, or haven't explained it well enough. Feel free to correct/question me should you find anything wrong here.)

For the short of it, Sasuke has;

Chapter 6 (Part 1)
"So," I start with a clap. "Since I killed the Otokage, does that make me the new one or am I just a double missing nin now? This kind of situation wasn't listed in the Oto shinobi handbook, so I'm not too sure on what the procedure is." I ask as I come face-to-face with Dosu and Guren.

Dosu narrowed his uncovered eye at me while Guren just raised a brow, though her eyes were filled with suspicion at me. After a few moments of silence, it was Dosu that answered me. "Officially, an attempt would either get you executed or experimented on. Or, unofficially, if you were impressive enough, promoted. Though most of the latter two don't last long. But as usual, you prove to be an exemption." Dosu answered plainly.

"And a successful attempt?" I asked with a bit of mirth.

"A complicated situation, as we both know Orochimaru well enough to know that he'd never account for such a possibility." Dosu said, a bit confused but willing to go along with my questioning.

"Then it seems like it'll be up to us to account for it now, won't it?" I said. "After all, there's no standard procedure to follow. Of course, the most obvious route would be to follow the Otokage's successor, except that two individuals could fill that role. Me being Orochimaru's apprentice and Guren being his second in command. Or it'd be more accurate to say you yourself Dosu, no offense Guren."

"None taken. Though I'm surprised that you're even here, hell, let alone considering filling in for the role. Pretty much everyone expected you to be going after Itachi the second that you could." Guren said, just as confused but going along.

"I know, right? I wouldn't have expected him to be patient enough to grab myself, Karin, and Jugo, then ditch him, before heading on over here, and then going after Itachi." Suigetsu added in, just as surprised as she was.

"Jugo? And seeing as he's not here, ditched even, he's either running wild elsewhere or he's-" Dosu guessed.

"He's not in his prison or dead," I interrupt to clarify. "Let's just say he's actually getting treatment for his anger issues with people far more qualified than Orochimaru could be."

"I find it doubtful that they'd succeed but regardless, I wish them luck."

"Honestly it's Jugo that needs it more than they do. The snakes of Ryuchi Cave are not the most gentle of caretakers."

"The snakes accepted you as their new summoner?" Dosu asked, surprised. "Well, that certainly helps in proving you to be a good replacement, in any case, picking up the mantle of the Snake Summoner that he left behind."

"To be a replacement would imply that I'm merely filling in for Orochimaru, which would be completely wrong. I am beyond him."

"You may have killed him Sasuke but the Sannin was crippled by his sickness. His full strength is yet to be something that you could overcome."

"I say this because I became the one thing he could never be. After all," I say dramatically before taking a pose similar to what Sasuke did when showing off his Curse Mark Form while dropping my Henge. Once dropped I let out a little of my Senjutsu chakra, revealing my Sage Mode for them to see. I left out the hand wings and tail so I didn't just ruin the only outfit I had with me. I could always revert to my base form but I wanted to get used to being a Sage and all that would apply to it. Besides, if there's no downside to keeping it on then why not. "The Snake Sennin would be far superior to the Snake Sannin."

"The Curse Mark!? No, this is similar but so much more! This could only be Senjutsu!?"

"Well, we were relative in power before, but with this on top of that then it's clear who the hat goes to," Guren admits, accepting it though not entirely happy with it.

"Aren't you going to put up more of a fight over it? Because honestly, I'd rather not wear it."

"What? No damn it, I don't want it either. The only reason I'm still here is that I don't know where else I could go without worrying about Konoha going after me." Guren groaned with some disappointment. Her reasoning was a bit strange to me since as soon as she could she took Yukimaru, the boy she took up raising, with her and went into hiding, but I guess without encountering Naruto she wouldn't have him to vouch for her and avoid being hunted down by the Leaf.

"If you don't want to be Otokage, then why are you here? And what for?" Dosu asked.

"As mentioned earlier, there are some issues regarding the line of succession. Some would argue for Guren due to her being in charge when he's away. Some would argue for me since I killed Orochimaru and proved myself his superior, thus stronger, and fit to rule. However, since Orochimaru never made a statement on this it could be easy for those who'd prefer neither to assert another nor themselves as Otokage. Obviously, this is going to be a problem if a resolution isn't found quickly. And I don't trust the nutjobs in this place not to do something stupid in a civil war."

Hell, I'm pretty sure that without Dosu and Guren taking the reins as the village's strongest shinobi in addition to Guren's status, that Oto would've already been in the starting stages of falling apart. Though enough did remain that Orochimaru could rebuild after the Fourth Shinobi War, I very much doubt that such a possibility would be relevant here.

"You're not wrong. Without the excuse of Orochimaru focusing their efforts towards medically life-saving ones, some of our scientists could certainly unleash something problematic. But I doubt that's all you're here for."

"You're right, I am here for my selfish reasons. There are some experiments that could be of some use to me. That, and I want all of Orochimaru's personal notes, especially any of the ones that relate to his ninjutsu, techniques, fuinjutsu/jutsushiki, Hashirama's cells, and the Sharingan. Also any references to an individual by the name of Danzo Shimura, even the most minor and vague. And of course, I want whatever spy network that Oto has to locate any leads on Itachi." I said, listing off what I wanted.

"Really? Whatever happened to that spy network of yours? Not effective enough for this?" Suigetsu asked with a smug grin, bringing up our talk from that restaurant back in Wave.

"Sadly it can't be used for this. Their loyalty was guaranteed by my stunning good looks, but Itachi is not only handsome, but he's also edgy, and feminine in certain angles." I explained with a mocked sadness about the weakness of my spy network.

"Doesn't that fit you already?" Suigetsu asked with a raised eyebrow.

"There's a difference between effeminate and pretty boy. Besides, he's an older emo bad boy too. So there'd be a conflict of division and I wouldn't be surprised if the network devolved into a mess of counterespionage."

"What the hell kind of spy network are you running?" Dosu asked incredulously. "The second that Orochimaru died, ours went haywire and while a good majority remained loyal, even then some started charging higher prices for their services."

"All you need to know is that it's one easily bought and self-maintained," I answered cryptically.

"Gossiping fangirls." Suigetsu spoiled bluntly and with glee as well.

"Oh, allow me to rephrase Dosu's question," Guren said before turning to Karin. "Karin, what the hell kind of spy network are you running?"

"...I'll admit that my affection was a bit much but I was not bad enough to be his top fangirl." Karin sheepishly defended. "Though I am his top girl, however, hehe."

"Oh Sasuke, fill me with your seed! Fill me with you!" A shrill voice called out from Suigetsu's mouth.

"We never did anything like that!?" Karin roared in anger and embarrassment, before deflating at what she just said.

"As fascinating as it is to hear of Sasuke's sex life," Dosu interrupted, his flat tone betraying his fascination.

"I'm pretty sure that retaining your virginity counts as a lack of one," Guren added with a mock, getting a glare from Karin and a laugh from Suigetsu.

"Weren't you going on about how you were saving your body for Orochimaru?" I shot back with a raised brow. the comeback was seemingly unexpected as Dosu blinked and Guren froze. Suigetsu laughing even harder seemed to break her free from that.

"Not like that and not anymore!" Guren quickly yelled out with a blush and a glare.

"We do need to get back to business." Dosu finished, though I could detect a bit of amusement from him. Not totally a stiff then.

To defeat the Huns!

But yeah he's right.

"Yes, we should. So, where do we go from here?" I asked.

"Well, your wants are reasonably doable. We'll grant you free access to all of Orochimaru's belongings for you to look for what you want. The same access will be granted to the experiments that we have and know of as well. And though I can't promise the effectiveness of our spy network in regards to finding Itachi Uchiha, we'll certainly keep a more focused eye out for him." Dosu said, giving in to my requests. But it seemed that he was about to give a request of his own. "And speaking of an Akatsuki member, we have a problem."

"Unless you happened to kidnap a Biju, I don't see why they'd have any problems with Oto. Unless Pain is feeling petty enough to order it, which is unlike him though it may be up Deidara's alley."

"It's neither of those two and thankfully it's not Deidara. Though I must ask about who this Pain figure is."

"He's the leader of the Akatsuki and wielder of the legendary Rinnegan. The man is powerful enough to have 10 S-Ranks follow him, some of them forcefully, and to destroy Oto with a single jutsu, so word of advice, if you ever spot one of them," I take a moment to use a Henge and spawn five extra clones to help illustrate my message. I then continue using the Deva Path's voice. "Get as far away from them as possible. Though if you happen to have auditory genjutsu, use it, he's very much susceptible to it. Though that's just a theory."

Though his bandage wrappings covered most of his face, I could tell that he blanched at the mention of Pain's power. "...Noted. Even more so, I must say that it thankfully isn't Pain either. No, it's Kakuzu and Hidan. More specifically, Kakuzu, who wants Orochimaru's head, either from us or from you."

Huh, that's a surprise. Especially since I figured that these two would be after Yugito or Asuma around this time. Strange, was this before or after they killed Asuma? If after, how did they escape? I'd figure that a stronger Naruto would mean even worse chances for Kakuzu unless he had some sense to flee after losing most of his hearts. I wouldn't know until I saw them so not much use in wondering.

Still, this could certainly be useful…

"Well, since I'll be fighting for this village rather than just helping you deal with some internal issues, I'm going to have to add something that I was going to bring up later."

"I'm already giving you what you want, what more could you want out of this?"

"I want a say in how things are run. That isn't to say that I'll be running the place, I just want it to be run differently than how Orochimaru had it run."

"You and I are both in agreement on not wanting to rule as he did. I intend on Sound to prosper as opposed to it merely being a tool for Orochimaru to use, help with that and I'll take your words into account."

"And how would you go about it? Many leaders, good or bad, kind or cruel, claim the same. Many wars have been started and lives lost to fulfill such a claim. Simply stating that you'll rule properly doesn't tell me how or why I should believe you." I wasn't Nagato who could be convinced by just the guts and drive of some idealist, I gotta know how those ideals plan to come to fruition after all.

"I gave a simple answer as I didn't think that you cared enough for one. It seems I'll have to give a personal one then." Dosu said.

"The Land of Rice was left ruined and impoverished after Sasori destroyed our military might. Such events were common for minor Hidden Villages in the wake of the Five Great Nations and their wars, yet that didn't take away from the misfortune. Life was hopeless and bleak for most until a light came, Orochimaru. We were deluded in desperation and then gratitude towards the man for giving us what we wanted, what we needed. Strength. To be strong enough that we would never be in that position again. And stronger than we may have been since then, it soon became clear to me that Orochimaru was never going to fulfill that hope. Not when he had no other intentions for our strength to be but tools, not when he had started to wane in strength."

"You wish to gain strength. The strength to defend from threats, to stand your ground against intruders and imperialists, to protect the people." I summed up. It wasn't much of a surprise to hear that strength was what he wanted. In this world, strength was absolutely needed, be it to carry out your ideals or to simply live unimpeded by others. As the strongest being on the planet through extraordinary luck, I could understand. "And how would you plan on gaining that strength?"

"We have gathered here some of the brightest and twisted minds across the Elemental Nations. We have the potential to branch out in ways that the stagnant Great Five could not, too obsessed with each other's past to bother. I will not leave those minds to Orochimaru's limited and vile experimentations which only conform to those ideals, but to have them expand Otogakure's potential as a village. That, Sasuke Uchiha, is how I'll properly rule the Land of Sound."

Well, that was quite the speech. And despite not seeing the man emote much from Sasuke's memory, I can tell that his words and emotions were genuine. He truly did want to help his country grow, and not just for the sake of himself. Good to know that I won't be setting up a problem to remove later on. God, why is it that only in alternative universes do we get decent politicians? And of course he isn't in my country, though I guess that Tsunade wasn't half bad. Kakashi best Hokage tho, sorry Naruto.

"Honestly, I would've thought you were from Konoha with how sappy that speech was, only thing missing is that you didn't go on about the 'Will of Sound' or 'Will of Rice.'" Suigetsu said.

"It irks me to admit it, but for the few things that Orochimaru was right in, it was in not engaging in such a foolish notion. So that Oto was not bound to a nation or ideal and would instead celebrate individuality as opposed to the foundation that erases the self."

"Stick with that and you're already better than most villages out there," I said. "Though it could be said that there was no need for one since Orochimaru himself was already such a thing."

"It unfortunately is so, but it will be something I will take great effort in expunging from the core of this village."

"...I'd still like to give a few suggestions, but I can tell that I have nothing to worry about when it comes to your leadership."

"Thank you for your words, Sasuke. After all, it is only because you killed Orochimaru that such a thing will be possible, provided that we prevail."

Speaking of the Snake, I pulled out a Storage Seal and pulled the Sannin's head from it. Surprisingly enough it didn't decompose at all. I then tossed it at Dosu, to which he looked a bit off guard but caught it anyway.

"There's no denying it, this is most certainly his head. Of course, there's the chance that a sufficiently skilled Medic nin could produce a convincing fake, but for all the skills that you possess, a Medic you are not." Dosu said after giving the head a look. Once he was satisfied he tossed it back to me. "Ah, and I take it that from the lack of a body that you had thoroughly disposed of it as well. Even the brain is thoroughly damaged from what I felt."

"Though he may be dead, it wouldn't hurt to make sure that nobody alive could cause any trouble with his remains." For all I knew, some asshole, more than likely Danzo, might try to clone or rebuild his brain to get access to his genius mind. Sure the soul is gone but his memory can still do some damage. "Speaking of trouble, funny enough, I was going to cause some trouble of my own with it here," I admit.

"Trouble of your own?" Dosu asked with a narrowed brow.

"Yeah, just walking in while swinging it around for everyone to see. Then beat up anybody who had an issue until I became Otokage." I elaborated.

"Yes, we know. A certain ANBU made sure to tell us this." Dosu said grumpily, still not happy about that heart attack I gave him.

"I'll admit, it'd be something I'd have suggested before Orochimaru dumped his hat on me," Guren said.

"It was definitely an appealing option, cutting through most of this bullshit with brute force and being done with it."

"Uchiha, you would have no idea how fucking appealing it is until you had to deal with some of this shit for as long as I had. The amount of human experimentation these assholes get off on…" She agreed, backed up by having to experience what I'd rather avoid.

"I hope to never find out. That said, I don't plan on giving up the head."

"You mean to tell me that you're willing to risk a confrontation with them over money? I mean it is a rather large sum, but still." Dosu asked.

"It was my kill, so I see no reason to give it up just because some asshole demanded it. But besides that, and more importantly, I plan on making an enemy of the Akatsuki anyway. Not just because Itachi is a part of them but I oppose their plan as well. Did Orochimaru not mention it?"

"Yes, he informed us about them, but only generally. They seek to capture all nine Tailed Beasts and use their power for the sake of 'peace'. Yes, I can see why you'd want to deal with that. And a superweapon like that would certainly pose a threat to Otogakure…" Dosu said, concern deep in his words. "And it wouldn't do us favors with the people if we just gave in to Kakuzu's demands. Oto was humiliated by Konoha but it could be excused, however bitterly they may feel since it was one of the strongest villages. Humiliation and submission to two S-Ranks would kill any faith in our leadership."

"So it's clear that we'll have to fight them, how long will it be until they arrive here?" Karin asked.

"From our latest report, which just came in today, a few hours to a few days. Which I'm sure you can imagine, is a rather terrible time frame as we'd only have a few hours, and I'm treating it as such until proven otherwise, to prepare on how we're going to deal with two S-Ranked shinobi." Dosu said with some stress, before stopping to pause as if something new just came up. "Though, I suppose in your case this may be quite the boon. You said you wanted to cut through the bullshit of Oto politics and prove your strength to the village, then I do believe that this would be quite suitable for you."

"And no, I don't plan on having you fight and end up getting killed for it," Dosu added on hastily. "I know well enough not to antagonize you since all those years ago, and with your current ability now such would essentially be suicide on my end. I just plan on letting Hidan and Kakuzu take out some of our more problematic shinobi grunts in the village, most notably Orochimaru's most fervent fanatics. Then your team along with Guren and I would face them. We should have good odds of taking them out with all of us working together."

"It's a sound plan." Everyone was unamused. "And I'm about to make your day with even better odds. I know their weaknesses."

"Really?" Dosu said, his mood brightened at that news. "Then by all means please do explain them."

"Me, essentially," I stated simply. Dosu was even less amused but remained silent since he could tell I had more to say.

"Kakuzu's power lies in his kinjutsu, the Jiongu, also known as the Earth Grudge Fear. He's essentially a rag doll made up of thick black threads. Said threads allow him to separate and reattach his limbs, and harden as a form of armor. His armor's weakness is Lightning Ninjutsu as it is Earth-based, so I have plenty of counters to it. His greatest weakness is also his greatest strength, the four masks on his back. They grant him the elemental affinity and chakra reserves of whoever's heart he steals, and as long as he has a single heart in him he is for all intents and purposes immortal. Since he was attacking Oto shinobi for them, it'd be safe to assume that he has a heart for each Nature Release by the time we confront him."

"In that case, you really are his counter. Rather than it being your usual arrogance." Dosu appraised. "And for Hidan?"

"He's one of their weakest members. That said, do not take him lightly. If he even gets a drop of your blood, do not let him draw a circle or you are fucked. He can perform a Voodoo ritual where any damage that is dealt to him affects the one whose blood he has used, be it inflicted by others or on himself. Still, as long as you keep that in mind, dealing with him should be doable,he is purely a taijutsu and melee combatant. And while Kakuzu's immortality is dependent on his hearts, Hidan's is dependent only on that god of his. But unlike Kakuzu he can't reattach himself, though Kakuzu can do that for him with his threads."

"So basically, don't let him touch you and just cut this guy to bits. Got it." Suigetsu aptly summed up.

"Yes, he should be someone you are more than capable of handling with your Hydrification Technique. Especially after the brief training I put you through."

"I can appreciate some harsh training as much as the next guy but you slashing me about a hundred times until I managed to block you was just torture! And not the fun kind!"

"Oh calm down, I put Karin through the wringer just as much as I did you."

"I'd hardly compare teaching her the Shadow Clone to what you've been doing to me, though those headaches did look killer."

"Those headaches were killer enough for me to want to kill myself. By the way, Sasuke, I'm looking forward to training you in some fuinjutsu. Trial and error can be a fun way to learn, I've found. You showed me."

"My body is ready." I winked, which overridden her annoyance with a blush.

A gravelly cough came from Dosu and we left our banter behind.

"Of course, there are some things I could have missed. This was all the information Orochimaru gave me and he hadn't encountered them in some time. So be sure not to be complacent with what you know and be sure to watch out for any surprises." I warned, in case the Zombie Duo had a surprise up their sleeves and to explain away how I know this. I mean, there were already differences in this world compared to canon, and while they wouldn't be a threat to me for the most part, I didn't want to risk losing Karin or Suigetsu just because I got cocky, and losing Dosu and Guren would be a pain since I'd have to spend more time here than I'd like if I wanted to get things under control. Oh wait, Edo Tensei, but I still wouldn't want to resort to that unless I had to.

"Even if this information is out of date, it is still much more than what we had to work with. Now we just need to discuss how we can use said information and discuss it fast. We still don't know when they'll be here."

XXXXX

*5 hours later*

Much to Dosu's dismay, he was right as it hadn't been long until Kakuzu and Hidan arrived. It was just barely enough time for him to set things up.

Standing on the outskirts of Otogakure stood Guren clad in the robes of the Otokage, in a style matching the one that Orochimaru had once worn to the Chunin Exam in Konoha years ago. Besides her were her aid Dosu along with a few Oto ANBU. And in some space towards the village were the mooks who were standing to guard the village in case of any altercation that could occur, though it was more so that what would occur would have witnesses and be spread by them.

"I'm glad to see that you've received my message and brought him to me, Otokage. Though there's no need to have so many shinobi here for such a simple affair." Kakuzu greeted as he walked into the area surrounded by Oto shinobi without a care beyond his objective.

"I can agree that there's no true need for them, but did you really need to attack our bases if all you wanted was to send a simple message?" Guren asked, annoyed with narrowed eyes.

"Well, I was in demand of a supply that only the freaks of your village could provide without drawing too much attention to myself."

"And I needed those freaks to show my thanks to Jashin-sama," Hidan added in as he waltzed right next to Kakuzu. Though for some reason he was wearing a patch over his left eye. Did something not regenerate?

"That supply being hearts with nature affinities. And that attention is fear of Konoha finding you after they nearly killed you." I said as I revealed myself, dispelling the hedge of an ANBU member while looking the former Taki nin straight in his eyes.

"How did you?-" Kakuzu said surprisedly before he collected himself and narrowed his eyes on me, still looking at me straight on my own. "Hmm, it seems that Orochimaru had told you about us. Yet that doesn't explain how a missing-nin like yourself knows the event of my battle so soon..."

"He's not wrong you know, making us run the hell out of Fire Country the second that we could. So what they know how to kill you now-" Hidan mocked before he found himself interrupted with a smack from his partner.

"Shut up, Hidan," Kakuzu said to his partner before turning to me. "How annoying, in other circumstances I'd be inclined to dispose of you for knowing so much. But, I'd be willing to make an exception, provided that you hand over Orochimaru's head. Or failing that, the location of the head."

"And if I fail to provide you with either, you fail to provide me with that exception." I surmised.

"Yes, I'm glad to see that you could understand. Now all you need to do is give either to me."

"I can't."

"You can't. Well, why not?" He asked plainly, though it was easy to note his displeasure.

"I burned it." I simply stated.

"...You what?"

"You know how that bastard is, I mean sure, his head means a nice check or something to mount on my wall. But for all I know that bastard could come back to life and molest me or whatever else he does."

"I mean he does have a point, I did plenty of that after all. It's a thing we do when you're hard to kill or immortal, it's fun seeing the looks on their faces wh-" Hidan agreed, before he found himself interrupted again, "KAKUZU YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE YOU DO THAT SHIT TO ME ONE MORE TIME!"

"I can tell that you have a smart mouth, so I'm going to disregard everything you just said and give you a second chance. Now, where is his head?" Kakuzu demanded.

"Takigakure, they said I did a better job of collecting bounties than their oldest fuck up who couldn't unroot a man-child."

"Ooooh Kakuzu, he got you bad. I mean you're always bragging about how 'I fought the First Hokage' like you're hot shit or something-" Kakuzu rather than smacking his partner just threw him at a nearby tree.

"You know, one would expect an old man such as yourself to know when to learn from their mistakes."

"And what exactly would those mistakes be? Clearly, they can't be any worse than the one that you're making right now by testing my patience."

"Your first and greatest mistake, Hashirama, enough said. Your second, Asuma, you may have killed him but Team Asuma along with Kakashi Hatake and Naruto Uzumaki came pretty damn close to avenging him. And now your third and final, me."

"Do you think of yourself as my equal just because you killed Orochimaru, boy? I faced the strongest shinobi of all time and lived, I have lived for longer than the villages have existed, I faced some of the best Konoha had to offer, even the Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails, and I lived. You along with the rest of this backwater village are nothing to them. You are nothing to me."

"Boast about surviving Hashirama as much as you want, but even then I'm not impressed. The man was soft enough to hand out 8 Biju to the other villages, letting some no-name from Takigakure live seems up his alley. Now had it been Madara Uchiha you survived a battle with, then I'd be more inclined to take you seriously. Of course, had it been Madara, at best, you'd be buried in some unmarked grave and remembered as a failure, if remembered at all."

"That. is. it." Kakuzu declared with each word laced with his Killing Intent. "I'm going to gouge your eyes out, dismember you and sell your limbless body to the highest bidder, Itachi's words be damned." Huh, Itachi's words eh? I'd be offended at the lack of faith he had in me if it weren't already for the clusterfuck of emotions I had for the guy. Regardless, it seemed that my ribbing worked as intended.

"Well then, feel free to do your best," I said as my Sharingan went blazing and my hand began gathering chakra. "You're going to need it."

############

Not much happened here I'll admit. Sasuke speaks with Dosu and gets some stuff in exchange for helping out, and then there's the start of a fight before that ended at a cliffhanger. Next part will pick up right after and the first (serious) fight scene will arrive.

Anyway, feel free to leave some feedback/critique and tell me how well I did or didn't do for this chapter.

Chapter 6 (Part 2)
"That. is. it." Kakuzu declared with each word laced with his Killing Intent.

"Well then, feel free to do your best,." I said as my Sharingan went blazing and my hand began gathering chakra. "You're going to need it."

-----------

"I doubt that." Kakuzu said before he jumped back as his fingers went into motion. My eyes quickly recognized that they were making the signs for the Fire Ball jutsu. Though the man was doing it slowly enough that if I wanted to I could just read his hand signs in their entirety and have time to do a jutsu of my own.

Already, my mind provided various ways to dodge, block, and avoid the attack with just as many ways to counterattack. Out of those options I chose to go for one that was rather simple in execution.

In the time it took for him to weave the head seals for his jutsu, I already had my hand on the ground gathering lightning.

By the time that he was back on the ground, I was close enough that the fireball he just shot off would've hit me point blank.

My mind was now screaming at me to abandon my charge and dodge.

Yet I simply continued on, despite all my instincts screaming at me to do anything else but that.

I went straight through the fireball, and despite the expected result that was ingrained from an understanding of fire, I was unfazed. Hell, even my clothes weren't as much as singed with any soot.

Ah, the benefits of the union of Senjutsu and Six Paths Chakra. One of the many being a complete immunity to all ninjutsu and genjutsu. Of course with Senjutsu being an art known but rarely practiced and Six Paths relegated to myth, there possibly existed only a few that could be counted on both hands to know of this.

Kakuzu was not one of them.

"H-how the hell did you- GAH!" Kakuzu cried in pain and wide-eyed shock but was drowned out by the sound of thousands of birds piercing through his chest, and through one of his hearts. It would've ejected the mass of threads attached to it had it not been erased by the Chidori. He let out a second scream as he was then sent into the air as the lightning extended into a beam, that Chidori now extended into the Chidori True Spear.

#I could also see that the look of surprise was etched on our audience's faces as well. From the corner of my eye, I could see after Karin's brief panic and then relief, she was disappointed. Heh, that horny minx wanted me shirtless.

"This here is a variation of the very jutsu that I used to kill Orochimaru. Well, it would've if he were a mili-second slower in registering a defense. But the damage was enough that he had to abandon his human shell and reveal himself as the grotesque snake that he truly was. But he was slain just as well." I said. Reaching into my pocket and raising the head of Orochimaru from the scroll that it was in.

This seemed to piss him off enough to force himself to ignore his pain. Shown as three of his masks carried by black threads came from his back and fired off a massive stream of elemental ninjutsu. Lightning, water, and wind. Fire excluded as that was the heart that I destroyed.

Seems that he expected me to drop my jutsu to dodge or activate whatever I had 'done' to protect myself from his initial attack.

I make no move to defend myself though I am quick to seal away the Sannin's head to avoid any damage to it. Once the attack has hit and dispersed, I once again emerge unscathed.

"That was better, but still not good enough."

Judging by his shock and noticeable fatigue, it seemed that he put a decent amount of chakra behind that attack. I'd estimate at about 25%, judging by the view of his chakra that the Sharingan granted me, which was quite the amount to divert when he already lost a main source from via his fire affinity heart.

Speaking of hearts, the man thought he was slick by sending his earth heart underground. It seemed that he learned his lesson from last time, too bad that he couldn't apply it here. A stomp on the ground, as well as some Senjutsu, caught it in its trail. Which had the effect of causing Kakuzu to stiffen, and had his skin not been threads it was likely to have grown pale.

"Your defense is a failure before me… All your jutsu is useless before me. Now you'll lose your life at my whim."

That said, I placed my hand on my arm to send just a bit of chakra through the stream of lightning chakra, a second later and it burst into an explosion of electricity.

Along with the dissipated sparks was the falling body of Kakuzu. I say body rather than a corpse, despite being very close to becoming one, was because he still had a heart remaining and surprisingly enough a head as well. A heart of earth it may be, it couldn't ever hope to overcome earth manipulation by way of Senjutsu.

As I said, his life was now at the mercy of my whim.

"Karin! You know what to do." I called out to her. Once he fell to the ground, Karin dispelled her ANBU Henge and rushed over to where the Akatsuki member had fallen.

Kakuzu was already in the middle of regrowing himself, though it was significantly being slowed down by the lingering bit of lightning that remained from my Chidori True Spear.

"...what are you doi-" Kakuzu rasped out but suddenly panicked once he seemed to recognize Karin. Even becoming terrified once he saw the golden chains she manifested. "NO! Don't you dare use those damned chains on me!"

She ignored him and used them anyway, wrapping enough around him to make a cocoon. As soon as she did, any regenerating that he was in the process of had ceased.

"Listen, I don't care about the damn head anymore, it's yours." Kakuzu said, quick to abandon the bounty he killed quite a few unfortunate saps on his way to get. "And there's no need to kill me, not when I can get you what you want. I can tell you everything that I know about Itachi and Kisame, and I can even lure them into a trap of your own making!" He then offered, also quick to throw his colleagues under the bus.

"Look at you, you were talking all that good shit just a second ago, and here you are now. Begging for your life. I wonder if this was any similar to how it went with Hashirama." I taunted with a genuine sneer. The guy was a decent character when this world was just an anime, but seeing him here in front of me only made me feel detest for the man.

"Though you can rest assured that I won't be killing you. You're more useful to me alive than you are dead."

"I'm glad that you could see reason." He said, the relief clear to see though it failed to hide the anger underneath.

"But I'm also a fan of karma. Let's see how much you like being sold off for cash Kakuzu, I'm sure either Taki or Konoha would pay a pretty penny for you." I continued with a malicious grin. That only grew when I saw the rage in his eyes overshadow the fear of an imminent death at the mention of his former home and the ironic way he'd return.

"If you sell me to Konoha you would make yourself an enemy to the Akatsuki. Going after Itachi and Kisame is one thing, but you'd be a fool to go against us all like this. The entire organization is weary of you already, doing this would cement you as an enemy." He threatened. Oh sure, he tried to made it sound like a warning, but had he not been in this position it certainly would've been.

Still, that just made me laugh, much to his bafflement. "Good, the more of you that come after me, the less time I'll have to spend tracking you down. Of course, I could always just head over to Ame, but it's such a dreary place with all that rain and not all of you would be there."

"You're making a mistake!"

"So have you. Don't worry too much about being alone, Hidan will be joining you soon enough."

"These damn chains are torture enough already, must I be stuck with Hidan as well?" He complained with resignation.

"Considering that you tried to steal my kill and was an asshole overall, yes," I said and without any further fanfare threw him into a storage scroll.

"Noooo! Not into the scroll, it burns! This isn't the last you've seen of me!" He said right before he was closed off to the world at large.

"Karin, seeing as you're still with me I take it that things are going well on the other end." I said, checking in with how things are going.

"Yes, but there was an unknown element…" Karin mentioned.

"That being?" I asked. There shouldn't be a reason why Suigetsu could handle Hidan, hell the plan even included having Guren and Dosu as backup should he need it.

"Apparently, Hidan has a dojutsu that allows him to control his blood."

"The fuck?"

--------

*A few minutes ago*

"Hey, wait a second. Oi! Guy with the white hair!" Suigetsu shouted at Hidan.

"Me, what the hell do you want?" Hidan asked, confused about what he could be called out for. Though he soon turned happy as he came to his own conclusion. "Interested in converting to-"

"Nah man, I'm more interested in that weapon of yours. The hilt in particular, where'd you get it?" Suigetsu asked, eyes locked on a hilt that looked rather familiar.

"Oh, this thing," Hidan said, looking at his scythe and giving it a twirl, before then tossing it in the air and whirling it around by a thread of ninja wire. "I found it somewhere in the Land of Water. It was sharp, strong, came with a wire, and was covered in blood. Exactly what I was looking for and more after my old scythe broke, it was such a perfect fit that it could only mean that Jashin-sama wanted me to have it! The pointy end along with its light weight and wire made getting sacrifices with my scythe even easier!"

"Yeah, sure. But that hilt you're talking about here is actually the Nuibari, one of the Seven Swords of the Mist. And I plan on getting all seven, so you're gonna have to hand it over."

"Hey fuck off, it was Jashin's will that I come across this thing. Besides, who the hell uses a needle as a sword? That sounds retarded."

"Fuck you, it's a sword that just so happens to take the shape of a needle while working like both. And that 'Lord Jashin-sama' of yours sounds retarded. I never even heard of the guy in the first place, you're probably just making that shit up. Besides, what the hell kind of name is literally 'evil god'?"

"OH HELL NO! You did not just fucking insult Jashin-sama like that in front of me! I liked the cut of your jib but now you fucked up. But don't worry, I'll be sure to educate you on Jashin-sama's power before I gut you, you filthy heathen." The cultist promised as he held out his scythe at the offender.

"Dude, I couldn't care less about your imaginary friend, just give me the damn Nuibari before I take it from you and send you into the cold embrace of wherever Sasuke sent Orochimaru." Suigetsu said rather annoyed but just as eager to resort to violence as he readied his own weapon, arms bulged out though not under much strain.

Hidan had enough and charged at Suigetsu, aiming to stab him with his scythe. Suigetsu chose a similar strategy as he opted to run with a swinging motion of the Executioner's Blade. When the two met neither bothered with blocking or dodging. To the surprise of only Hidan, his scythe only went through the water that Suigetsu became. Unfortunately for Hidan, that could not be the same as he was cut diagonally from the shoulder and out of his hip, causing the hand no longer connected to most of the body to go limp and drop the held weapon.

"Decimate!" Suigetsu shouted in glee as he hacked and slashed Hidan's body freely, leaving it a bloody mess of chopped-up body parts on the ground.

"Well, wasn't that anticlimactic? I expected more from a member of the Akatsuki." Suigetsu mocked right before picking up the dropped scythe and breaking the Nubari out of it.

"I never expected to pick up another of the Seven Swords so quickly. The Nuibari wouldn't have benn my first choice but I'm happy to have it anyway. Now I can slash with Kubikiribocho and skewer with Nuibari." He looked down to see that while the Akatsuki member was dismembered, his head remained in one piece. At that, he gave a shark-like grin. "Now I'm about to show you how to properly wield the Nuibari."

"I'm going to do more to you than just slashing and skewering for breaking my fucking scythe!"

Suddenly the severed parts of Hidan were reconnected, not by any action on Kakuzu's end, but by a gush of blood from Hidan's body pulling them back together. Which was certainly a shock for the Hozuki as it was never mentioned that he could do that. Luckily for him, however, despite the surprise, Suigetsu quickly got back on guard and got some distance by jumping back.

After putting himself back together, Hidan ripped off the covering over his eye, revealing an eye as red as blood along with a purple dash across the pupil. He then held out his hand over the still mending wound on his gut and from it, a stream of blood flowed out. It formed a brand new scythe along with armor made of hardened blood. While he seemed fine, this was not regeneration but more of him forcing his body together through the blood within. As shown when the cuts had neither been mended nor sealed, just held tight enough to keep the body together.

"As badass as this is, why the fuck did you need the damn sword if you could just make one out of your blood?!" Suigetsu demanded.

"I can't inflict suffering through my ritual if my blood is contaminating the blood of my sacrifice. But I'm more than willing to inflict it the normal way for you, may Jashin forgive me for failing to provide a sacrifice!" Hidan explained, really pissed off.

Upon noticing that Sasuke was finished with his own battle, and rather quickly at that, the Hozuki called out to him though he didn't move his eyes off of his opponent. "Hey, Sasuke, what the hell do those eyes do!?"

---------------------

The Ketsuryugan.

How and why the fuck does Hidan of all people have it? Then again it'd be fair to assume that Kakuzu would know of it since he lived during times when it was still around. Though how and when those two managed to pull an eye out of a Chinoike eludes me, either Kakuzu had encountered them before the Uchiha exiled them or Zetsu wanted them gone enough to give up their weakness.

Still, the eye alone boosted my assessment of him by several notches. Though it was a transplanted eye, and seeing as Hidan had to cover it up ala Kakashi and Ao, it certainly ate at his chakra. Even if a transplanted eye isn't as effective as it was on its owner, they were still dangerous. And this eye was featured for an opponent for adult Sasuke to face so I'd have a good reason to be wary.

"It can control blood or any liquid with high iron and can cast powerful genjutsu," I warned Suigetsu.

"What the fuck is with dojutsus and giving bullshit powers that have nothing to do with eyes!?"

"I don't know man, looking at someone and casting genjutsu seems to be pretty eye related if you ask me."

"This thing can cast genjutsu? Since when? That's some pussy shit right there." Of course, Hidan being the type who'd prefer to throw hands wouldn't use arguably the best feature of the eye, though I'm glad to have held back on the mind-reading tidbit. But shouldn't Kakuzu have mentioned that to him? But I can also see him only giving it to Hidan so he didn't have to stitch him u anymore.

--------------------

"Weird, it seems that we can agree on one thing. Still gonna have to kick your ass pal, misusing the Nuibari as some prop like that grinds my gears too much." Suigetsu said.

"Same to you, no one breaks my shit and insults Lord Jashin without punishment," Hidan said before he rushed at Suigetsu once more, only much faster than before.

"Seeing as your mom hasn't beaten the idea of imaginary friends out of you yet, it seems that I'll have to pick up the slack in her stead."

"She and the rest of Yugakure tried, right before me and my fellow Jashinists sacrificed them all! You'll be joining them!"

What would be a deeply unsettling sight was just met with excitement from the Second Coming of the Demon, who was quite eager to start living up to the name once more through the use of these swords.

Suigetsu lifted the Nuibari in a sword stance before shifting his form to that of throwing a spear, which the longsword flew much like.

Hidan, despite being able to dodge, instead chose to swing his scythe to swat away the needle, though that proved to be a mistake as it pierced through both his weapon and armor. As it went through his back, it was drawn back around with a motion of the wrist from Suigetsu before he gave a great pull, albeit with a bulked-out arm.

As Hidan went flying toward the Hozuki, he swiftly and seamlessly pulled out his needle before exchanging it for the greatsword. He then gave it a great swing which sought to cleave straight through the cultist once again. Rather than going all the way through, however, it seemed that it was lodged in the armor.

But rather than abort, he then used the momentum to then slam the cultist to the ground. The Executioner's Blade still hadn't cut through completely but it had managed to stuck itself deeper into the Hidan.

"You dumbass, that ain't gonna work on me again!" Hidan mocked.

"It doesn't need to cut through you to work, it just needs to cut enough to draw blood. Just take a look at yourself and it'll be obvious."

Hidan did just as Suigetsu suggested and saw that the sword buried in him was drawing out his blood, from the armor and his body.

"Get that thing out of me!"

"You're gonna have to make me pal."

"Fine!" Hidan said before he flashed a sign, suddenly his body separated to free itself from the Kubikiribocho.

He quickly does a handstand before pushing himself high enough to go over the large sword. His legs move upright though it's through the manipulation of the blood in them rather than a conscious effort on Hidan's part.

A stream of blood extended from both ends that were about to connect the two once again, right before a click followed by sound waves disrupted that and sent both halves crashing to the ground hard.

"Liquid, well I suppose I have just the tool for this then." Dosu said as he made himself known.

Despite that setback, the Jashinist still managed to put himself together again and reform his armor, though much bulkier this time.

"I'll admit that you got me, but that cheap shot with your wind ain't gonna save you from me!"

With a click his sound gauntlets activated once more, directing powerful sound waves towards the blood-armored Jashinist again.

Hidan seemed dismissive of them at first when he went to battle Suigetsu, who was alternating between both the Kubikiribocho along with Nuibari. Though he quickly changed his plans as cracks were forming in Hidan's armor and weapon along with disrupting Hidan's ability to control the blood that was keeping his body together. This ticked the cultist off as he abandoned trying to skewer the dual-wielding Hozuki and rushed to cut Dosu down.

To which the Sound nin only moved out of the way before a rush of crystals came where he stood. This took Hidan aback as he then tried to avoid them. But found that they were too fast for him, and with Dosu still disrupting his blood he couldn't move as effectively as he could to avoid them.

He tried to cut them down, and while it worked initially, it had only done so until it got trapped in a crystal before becoming encased in one. Which also had the effect of trapping his hand as well.

Desperate to escape, Hidan detached the hand from his body. But even the drops of blood that flowed between him and his limb started to crystallize before the effect reached the rest of him.

He seemed to realize where this was heading with what was to be his last breath.

"Jashin fucking dammit Kakuzu this is just like that bullshit with the Leaf all over again!"

Eventually, he was captured in a crystal prison, the only part that remained free was his head. Though that was due to it being freed from his body. As was the body itself soon enough, though it could hardly be called such when it was now encased in black flames.

By a Sasuke Uchiha who was in a tug-of-war between Hidan and his stolen eye.

-----------------

"You set my fucking body on fire!? Do you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to get a new one!? And let go of me you fucker!"

"Not happening, just like you succeeding in biting me, you rabid little cultist you."

"Don't talk down to me you emo bitch! And it isn't a fucking cult, it's a religion!"

"Funny that you mention that, you seem to be following the orders of Pain, a pagan deity, just as well as you claim to be following Jashin." I pointed out.

"THAT'S FUCKING DIFFERENT!" He roared even more vitriol than when he thought he was about to be trapped in crystal. Hell, he'd probably be frothing at the mouth if he still had lungs.

Never mind, some of that got on my hand, gross.

Having enough of playing around, I just used a focused Almighty Pull to, well, pull the eye out.

"Hey! Give that back! Me and Kakuzu stole that fair and square!"

"I thought that Jashin fella of yours gave it to you?" Suigetsu asked in a mocking tone.

To that Hidan glared at the Hozuki. "No you fucking idiot, Jashin-sama doesn't give handouts but opportunities. I sacrificed a heathen for him and got an eye out of it, it was a win-win for both of us. It was even a win for Kakuzu who made a buck selling the bastard to Kumo. Except for Zetsu, that asshole kept muttering shit about abominations at me like he ain't one himself." Hidan explained, sounding pleased except when it came to Zetsu.

It was a bit concerning that Kumo has the eye since they'd be more willing and able to use it to its potential, but it should take a good while until they can make proper use of either. Looks like Zetsu wasn't too happy that there was a divergence from his mommy's eyes.

"Well, seeing as the Chinoike Clan were bitches of the Uchiha, this Ketsuryugan eye is now my property. Just like you are."

"I belong to Jashin-sama and him alone!"

"You belonged to him alone. Now he, she, or they will be sharing you with Konoha after I sell you to them. Though I doubt you'll be able to think that way or at all once they get their hands on you. Asuma Sarutobi was rather close to Inoichi Yamanaka so I'd bet that he'd be quite interested in testing that faith of yours."

Hidan's eyes widened in alarm at the possibility as while his body would be safe from any torture methods, his mind was a different matter. "If you sell me all that's going to do is get the rest of the Akatsuki on you, you moron!"

"Kakuzu said the same thing right before I sealed his ass, where you'll join him soon enough. Perhaps while you two are together, you can enjoy the time you'll have left together before you get poked and prodded."

"Fuck you!" With that ever-eloquent statement said, I sealed the servant of Jashin away. Right before I closed the tag I could then hear both Akatsuki members screaming at each other.

"Well, good to know that our plan still worked even with that massive deviation." Dosu said, looking at the source of the deviation in my hand.

"What the hell is it with eyes and giving such bullshit out!? The Byakugan and its x-ray vision makes sense, the Sharingan was unfair but still reasonable, but that whole Mangekyou nonsense and now this Ketsuryugan thing are just bullshit!" Suigetsu complained, even more fed up with the nonsense that is the dojutsu.

"There's a reason why the 'Three Great Dojutsu' are the most famous and known of Kekkei Genkai throughout history. And why out of everything that could rival Hashirama, it was an Uchiha with the Mangekyou. We're just built different." I explained smugly. The best part was despite how much Suigetsu wanted to respite that, he saw for himself why I'd be right.

After taking a look around, it was interesting to note that besides the crater that Kakuzu fell into, a few crystals, and blood stains on the floor, there weren't many signs that a battle between S-Ranks had happened here.
Still, the battles themselves seemed to have the shinobi watching us gaze in astonishment at how swiftly we managed to handle what had been slaughtering their fellows a little while ago. Even the looks that held disdain for me held a grudging respect or blatant fear.

Yet despite the many eyes that were on me at the moment, there was only one that held any true importance. And it wasn't even that of a human or mutated one.

It was a crow perched on the top of a distant tree.

Despite the distance, I could see the intelligence in its eyes the moment my gaze fell upon it. And in the next few I was on the same branch it was perched on, my speed enough to mimic that of the Yellow Flash to those unaware of his true capablities.

The crow was clearly startled by my sudden appearance, but it made no move to fly away. Seems that it was smart enough to know that I was more than fast enough to catch it if I so desired.

But I made no move to capture it beyond holding its attention, I needed it to fly free after all.

"Be it a summon or clone, I know that you're watching, Itachi. As you have witnessed, I am more than ready to face you, so get your affairs in order soon. Our destiny and the future of the Uchiha Clan await. And know this, I am aware of Shisui's eye. So you'd better keep that eye to yourself, and hear me when I say that I will gut Naruto Uzumaki to find that damn crow and burn Konoha and every fucking tree, branch, leaf, and root to the ground if you don't have it with you," I threaten to the crow, letting out some of my Killing Intent laced with Senjutsu to add weight to my threat. Though I would very much prefer to never do such a thing Naruto, a guy I admired, I won't allow myself to become a slave to Itachi or Konoha just because my freedom went against the interests of either. Besides, Naruto could always just regenerate that damage and a Final Valley rematch along with a bowl of ramen should patch that up.

That crow only stared at me as I glared into its eyes through my Mangekyou, sending a pulse of chakra to highlight Hagoromo's contribution to my Eternal Mangekyou. Of course, I had a pseudo clone via Inorganic Animation to shield my eyes from the crow should it be the Crowtoamatsukami.

After a few more moments it started to flap its wings, though I could notice that it did so stiffly while also shaking as well in a hurry yet continued to look me in the eyes as it did until it flew away.

And un-clichely enough it wasn't into the sun which has long since set over the Village Hidden in the Sound. The sky in which the crow flew was of a faded remnant of the red sun, the dark blue of the night, and the lavender of dusk.

Behold, the fastest update in my history as an author! A day!

Though that could only happen thanks to the fact that I split this chapter into two parts.

Only two fights and a dramatic ending with a promise to the future happened but I hope it was interesting enough for you guys. Of course if it wasn't, I apologize as writing fight scenes are still new to me. So feel free to let me know where I messed up and let me know how I can fix it.

Of course there were plenty of ways for Sasuke to utterly destroy and bully Kakuzu. I mean, his main weapons are elemental ninjutsu which Sasuke is completely immune to and his defense is earth which is useless before Sasuke's lightning.

As for Hidan, I was originally going to have Sasuke solo him as well but decided to let him and Suigetsu fight since they're both white haired, violent, psychopaths so why not. As for giving him the Ketsuryugan, his main gimmick is his immortality and blood ritual. So when it came to giving him a buff, that was where my first thought was. Of course he couldn't use it to the same effect as Chino did for a bunch of reasons I hope I made clear, though I'll say them in case I hadn't.

  1. Transplanted eyes aren't as effective as natural eyes,
  2. Despite Hidan likely having a Water Nature type due to coming from the Land of Hot Water, he couldn't use the Blood Dragons as that was used where there was a lot of iron rich water and was likely a clan technique,
  3. The main reason Hidan has that eye and Kakuzu didn't sell it was so he didn't have to stitch up Hidan everytime he got dismembered.

And then Dosu and Guren interfered and finished off Hidan. A bit disrespectful to him and Suigetsu, and cheap as hell, but the main point of having those fights in the open was to demonstrate the strength and cooperation of Sasuke with Guren's leadership. Could I have done that better, probably, but Oto was meant to be a stop along the way after all. Though Sasuke will deal with the aftermath for a bit, set some things up, and then leave.

Also to give some frame of time, since this took place during what would've been OG!Sasuke's battle against Deidara, it'll be around the time of the Itachi Pursuit Mission. So Sasuke's 'fight'/brutal beatdown with Itachi and reunion with Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Konoha are getting closer. Plus Zetsu and Obito will be in one place, ripe for the taking.
