I was going to suggest a speedster build anyway, (cuz it's awesome)
Speedsters are great because when use effectively their powers can be incredibly powerful, but they can still be threatened.
Lots of speedsters go with a red outfit, so I think we should go blue, (maybe something like blue superman but without the S?)

[x] Tim does not look imposing, being 6'0", and lacking a well defined musculature. His hair is slightly glossy, and somehow does not get in his way, despite being able to touch his nose. He appears fairly... happy.

Tim endlessly drew circles with vaguely geometric shapes in them, spoke made up words while waving a stick around, and as many other forms of magic as a child. He didn't stop when he was an adult, but merely became more... methodical. He began recording everything he tried, and kept trying. Eventually, something worked, when he was 20. He still hasn't been able to keep at least a small smile off his face. He has spent the past year expanding on what he discovered.
And the hair? afterdiscovering Proving that his siblings were wrong, and the magic is indeed real, his hair has began to look perfect, and getting a slightly glossy sheen. It worries him, as does the fact that his hair apparently chose to grow far longer than the norm, resisting multiple attempts to cut it. Thankfully, it stopped at roughly nose length. ("Why! Won't! You! Burn!?")
