Quite regularly I have ideas for poems, and they rarely have similar themes. This thread is where I'll post them all.

I do accept feedback, so let me know what you think, if there's topics I ought to tackle, styles I ought to try, if my poems would sound better if written differently, etc.

What Do They See?
What Do They See

If a woman looks up
What does she see?
Between the black walls
That climb up to the sky.
Those walls once met
But now have parted
And in between lies
A patch of grey sky.
Before, it was night
Yet now it has brightened
The path has been opened
And the clouds may yet clear.

If a man looks up
What does he see?
Two tall black walls
That seem to close in.
The sky is grey
When before it was blue
The sun shines weaker
Than it did before.
That bright morning
Has been taken away
And the clouds may grow darker
Will they brighten again?

But if I look up
What do I see?
Just the sky in between
Two tall black brick towers.
It may well rain
Or it may clear
I am in no
Position to say.
The towers themselves
Are old and decaying
Easier to let collapse
Than to repair.
And as for the future
I walk towards it;
Along, not upwards
Is where I must go.
