If I'm right about what was shown...
We're finally getting shown what Shiki looks like. Not sure why she thinks Eri looks better, but then again, I always have liked longer hair...

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll let the AI actually handle it. Having to control two seperate characters at once (the partner AI in the DS version was more along the lines of "your partner isn't totally useless while you focus on Neku") was one aspect of the game I hated.

Not sure about that. Doesn't look like what we've been shown of Shiki before. But hey, maybe retcon. In which case I might be a bit miffed because it didn't need changing.

From what was shown it's still something like the original where you press the D-Pad in certain combinations to make them attack and gain combo stars

EDIT: Apperantly that reaper girl and the mystery girl at the end appeared in the iOS port

Damn, now I am actually tempted to get a switch. I really hope this works out well, TWEWY was such a lot of fun for me.
 
I... am super surprised that this thread died like this when we've gotten trailers and gameplay footage recently! And a release date! It's being released on October 12th! :lol





The sprites look even better than they did in Solo Remix. Neku's hair lost the color stripes and it's now a gradient like it was on the DS. They're also going to bring in the pins from the Japanese-only Live Remix. So there's an entirely new brand being added in called Mithril Scale. It seems like the new scenario will take place after the events of the original game.

Now... for some information that some people might not want spoiled for them.

There is a "Reaper's Game: Hard Mode" that Neku and Beat appear to have been thrust into. It lasts a single day and if Neku loses, Shibuya is going to be destroyed. That is a fact we know for sure. My speculation is that this Game is being run by the Higher Plane and that Hype-chan is an emissary from them to oversee the Game in place of Hanekoma. Who, as we know, is on the run.

Not gonna lie, my one and only hope is that the new scenario finally explains what the heck Mr. Hanekoma was talking about in this scene:

I'd completely forgotten this was coming! Really looking forward to it. It's actually been so long since I played it the first time that it'll basically be totally fresh for me lol
