I open my eyes and look around. One window, Three blank walls. Where am I? What was I doing? I remember, I think. I was exploring the Evictus Galaxy and I found some ruins. I was checking everything out, when I suddenly felt tired. I don't know how I felt tired, but I did. That's rare, I don't remember the last time I went to sleep, what was it, 3,000 years ago?
I look around the blank room, the only decoration was the bed I was laying on. I was trapped, I guess. I look out the window. No one there. But the architecture matches only one race. Humans.
Huh, I wonder who these humans are?
I reach, and teleport to the other side of the window. What's that sound?
Scanning for life-forms... Life-form found. Why does it look like a cup? Stasis Field! I put up a stasis field as it turns into some sort of four legged spider. What is this thing?
Seems to have psionic blood, that would be useful for a lot of races.
I start to explore, let's see. Wow, this computer is very weakly encripted. English huh, very common among humans.
'Log 3: It has been five days. The subject has yet to wake up, and despite not eating the subject has shown no signs of starvation or dehydration. We've confirmed the subject is definitely not Typhon. I believe it will wake up soon, can you imagine it? An actual live Alien that is actually intelligent! Alex Yu has no idea how valuable this discovery is! Not to mention this alien was able to survive the void of space without any kind of suit! And to think, Doctor Olins wanted to dissect the subject.'
Typhon... Is that this thing? Oh stasis field is weakening, strengthen it real quick.
What else is here.
'ALERT: TYPHON HAS BROKEN CONTAINMENT! TYPHON HAS BROKEN CONTAINMENT!'
Oh.
So this thing is hostile, what else does this have.
What computer only has MESSAGES?!?! Wheres the games! The Internet!
Boring. What else is here. Why didn't I see that earlier? There's a freaking skeleton in the corner. There's a name tag, 'Doctor Morrigen. ' Wasn't that the name of the guy that sent the log? Poor fellow, what happened to you. Skull seems to be fractured by something being inserted into it, seems to be some sort of...
Oh the typhon killed him.
Well, I can kill the thing without repercussions now. Incinerate!
Time to continue exploring!

STATION
What else is around here.
Let's see. What's this purple thing? Needles in the eye, looks painful. Back you go. Let's see if I can find any new tech!

These computers are useless! They are just logs! Well, one did unlock a door. But still! That's it.
Strange... Wouldn't there be internet? A browser, I know humans always have one. So why isn't this connected to it.

Unless... Oh, this is a simulation. Why did it take me this long to figure it out! My transportation is never that smooth! How did they put me in it anyways. Why put me in it! Ok I can understand why, but still.

The only reason they would use a simulation is if they weren't sure of my intentions, which means I need to hide my abilities. Slightly.
I've already shown INCINERATE, and TELEPORTATION. Since this is a simulation, I might as well have some fun. I deploy the gliders in my boots and start to glide around. Now this is fun! It's like ice-skating!

I swing around several rooms, this station is amazing for a simulation, which means at one time it may actually have existed. Door locked? Welp, hack!

I glide into the next room, just to hear some gun fire. I look around the corner to see a human shooting down a humanoid typhon. Man his eye is red, way to many eye needle things I'm guessing. He looks at me, surprised huh.

"Sup!" I glide in circles around him. "You've had a few too many needles in your eye huh. Oh well. Name's... What was my name again?" He's looking at me like I'm crazy.

"Ah, sorry. It's just been a long LONG time since I've spoken to another intelligent being. Anyways, Greeting!"

He doesn't say anything. Just observes. "Mute are you? Oh well. Well, I'd talk more, but I've got a station to explore. If you need help you'll find me over there. As an Explorer I need to explore ya know."

I leave him as I glide around, A turret! Hows this work... Interesting, despite being a simulation most of these things are extremely accurate. What can I do with this!

After a few minutes of tinkering around I know exactly how the turret works, I can build my own, and make it follow my own programs.
Oh the human is back. He motions at me.
"You want me to follow you?"
He nods yes.
"Well, Alright."
I glide after him as he moves around. For a human his movements are surprisingly... inhuman. Oh well, I'll just add it to the list of strange things about humans!Oh, Typhons! INCINERATE! That's five molten bodies there.
He's glancing between the bodies and me. I look at him. "What? Didn't ant barbeque?"
He takes one more glance at me then continues to move.

Ok, definitly not human, although he has some human responses, he acts like everything is a puzzle. He gathers materials like a mad man, and he has a clear goal in mind. Which humans almost never have. I say almost because of supersoldiers.

I follow him down the way. Eventually hitting an office. Morgan Yu's office. I'm just going to call him Morgan, since he seems to be of Asian descent.
This is a pretty big room, you can tell this place isn't military by looking out the windows. Research station for the win!

My name shall be Explorer! Atleast till I remember my former name. How many names have I gone by now in my lifetime? Eh, can't remember.

"Welcome back Morgan." Robotic voice, an AI? I like AIs!
"Who is this?"

Morgan shrugs. I look at the floating coffee maker.
"Greetings robot AI! How are you today?"

I swear I can see confusion in that light.

"What are you?"

"Ah, I am Explorer, I forgot my real name, so I'm going to use that for now. Hi!"

"I mean, what race."

"I am a.... a.... Wow my memory is terrible. I know it was Super something, but I'm not sure what was after Super. Anyways, woke up in a room, decided to get out. Found Morgan, now I'm here."

I really chose a wrong time to start this up, don't get me wrong, not going to drop it. But It's going to take a while for me to update as I need to do research again as I forgot most of PREY and such. But I will continue.

Talking to January
"My name is January. My objective is to destroy Talos 1" - January

"Why?" - Explorer

"If any of the Typhon Material gets back to Earth it could prove to have disastrous consequences." - January

"I've seen these Typhons, but they don't seem to be much of a threat if you have to the tools to detect them." - Explorer

"We had the tools, it took only a few hours for the Typhons to take the station." - January

"But it hasn't taken over the station, the Typhons don't seem to have enough intelligence to take over the station." - Explorer

"They have killed the entire crew with ease! They don't need to take over the station as everyone is dead!" - January

"But that's wrong, I've detected several humans on the lower levels, granted their are a lot of Typhons, but I can still see the humans." - Explorer

"Wait, you see them?" - January

"I have a life sign detector built into my eyes, I'm actually like, 95% robotic." - Explorer

"95%?" - January

"Well, I was tasked with being an Peacekeeper by my race. I was given our most advanced technology at the time and I was set upon the universe. As a Peacekeeper I had to explore and find other sapient races and help them peacefully reach the stars. I also was charged with making sure that they weren't foolish. I mean, you have no idea how many races go to space without forming an armada to protect their homes. Space is a dangerous place, if you don't have the weapons to protect you home, someone will eventually try to take it from you." - Explorer

"Then you must see why we need to stop the Typhons." - January

"Stop yes, keep knowledge from reaching your race, no. If there is a galactic force targeting your world, you need to be ready for them." - Explorer

"What do you mean galactic force?" - January

"Well, I've seen a lot of things in my semi-immortal life time. These Typhons seem to be the a early invasion force. They may not be intelligent. But I can sense that they are connected to something. What that something is I do not know. But it is definitely intelligent and it's showing a large amount of what I can only see as hunger. It desires expansion, and in it's eyes, you are the food." - Explorer
