This quest runs on a majority rules system. At least 3 responses are required to move forward. I may incorporate additional commands from suggestions if enough people want to do it or I find one especially interesting.
You find that you've woken up in some kind of stasis chamber. You aren't quite able to remember anything much; nothing about how you came to be here, not even who you are. The only thing you know about yourself is that your name is Felis.
You weakly crawl out of the cylindrical vat you awoke in and sit up, surveying the area about you.
The room is relatively bare and dim, aside from a door leading out of the chamber and what looks like some kind of computer terminal.
[X] Type on the computer, the following command 'Help'.
[X] Examine the state of your body. How do you feel? Do you have any injuries? Is there anything abnormal about it?
[X] Examine your body, do some stretches, just try to figure out what you're capable of
[X] On a whim, try typing 'Felis' into the computer terminal after entering 'Help'
Your body feels relatively tired. You must've been in that stasis for a long while. You can see from the reflection on the terminal screen that you have one orange eye and one blue eye. Other than that, you're completely naked.
You decide it wouldn't hurt to try out this terminal. It seems you're already logged into a guest account. You can't really think of anything to type so you type in "Help" pulling up only a mere 2 commands.
You go out on a whim and try out the command to find out more about subjects and type in your own name. It returns some more stuff about you, but the information about some kind of "experiment" only causes more questions to arise within you. What's project "Prometheus"? What did they do to me? How long have I been in here? At the very least, you've found out your name to be Felis J. Miller, and that before you were stuffed into that tube, you were 19 years old.
Call it a hunch, but you feel like your eyes haven't always been the way that they are...
>Will you type in the other command?
>Will you explore out of this room?
[X] Input "Project Prometheus" In the hopes of at least getting a scrap of information.
[X] Explore the room thoroughly, hopefully finding something to defend yourself with.
Thanks for the info! I'll keep it in mind for the future.
I'm kinda new to the whole forums thing, but I've always been allured to the idea of a forum quest, so I guess this'll be my introduction to forums.
[X] Input "Project Prometheus" In the hopes of at least getting a scrap of information.
[X] Explore the room thoroughly, hopefully finding something to defend yourself with.
You try to see if putting in "project prometheus" will bring up any sort of result, and to your surprise, it brings up a very vague synopsis of what the experiment entails. So apparently they augmented part of your body to... influence the environment around you, whatever that means.
You take a closer look around the room you're in to see if you can find anything that can be fashioned into a weapon, but whoever put him here kept the place clean. The floor is spotless aside from some dust and dirt, but you don't think that can be very efficiently weaponized. there's a grate at the bottom of the vat for draining that purple liquid you were in, but you can't see anything beneath it nor any way to unfasten it, and the cords and cables that were attached to you in your stasis are held pretty solid to the top of the vat. You don't think you can really defend yourself with any of this.
[X] Type into the computer 'subject #0023' and 'stasis' for more information.
Let's see if we can't get any more information out of the computer using the other two commands.
[X] Type into the console 'Subject Species' to see if that might finesse some intriguing information out of the terminal.
[X] Exit the room cautiously and try one of the doors.
You decide to try a few more commands at the terminal. You start with a random thought to see if it would come up with a response and type "subject species". The console responds stating that you belong to the species "Homo Catus". Next you type in the "subject" command but this time using your number rather than your name, but this only prompts the same information as before. Finally you decide to see what the "stasis" command can tell you. 999,999,999.99 days seems a bit much... perhaps this facility has been running for so long that the clock malfunctioned as power reserves ran low... but that's just a guess.
You take a good look around the room and what you've discovered on this terminal and decide it's time you ventured out into whatever this place may be.
The closest door appears to be unlocked and opens easily, revealing what appears to be some kind of closet. Within the closet there are what seems to be someone's clothes, and a pair of boots, as well as a drawer on the floor, and finally, leaning against the wall is a broom.
