Faction Choice
The Titanum
Massive mechanical walkers, carrying cities upon their backs as they journey from one end of Omega to the other upon their four legs, each the larger than the lesser walkers of old.
Each step of these titans can create winds equal to Natures wrath, and every footfall shakes the earth like the titans of lore.
When a Titanum moves, all must make a path for the manifestation of godly wrath in the mortal plane or be crushed by the indomitable presence. Mountains are traversed with the same difficulty as one would have with small hills and the very depths of the oceans are unable to even reach the tops of the four massive legs that ferry a Titanum during its near endless march. All four of the Titanums legs have a gem embedded in it and while the ancient knowledge of their purpose may be lost, the shimmering light given off by the skyscraper sized Gems is truly a sight to behold.

Within the Titanum are the last remaining humans that still live upon the planet of Omega after all communication with the outside galaxy was lost and the ships Stationed in obit left, Trusting the Titanum and the first Pilot-kings with humanities survival. After they left the great silence began, without outside support it became impossible for humanity to keep settlements on the planet surface, at first due to the extremely hostile life forms that call the planet home, then because of the threat of the greenskin beasts and lastly because of the bands of crazed humans known as the marauders.
The deafening silence that spelled the end of a galactic empire began almost 5000 years ago and to this very day any attempts for communication have ended in nothing but deafening and heart wrenching silence.
The remaining 11 Titanum spend their days traveling across the planet carrying with them cities and whole civilizations who have built themselves around their ancestor's research and the Titanum that house them, in search of metals and precious resources that are feed the ever hungry forges and engines of the titanium.
The billions that live on their backs spend their days as ants upon an elephant.

Those that rule these 11 civilizations are the pilot kings, whos rule is enforced through their capability to connect with the cogitator of the Titanum through the Ancient mind impulse units, almost three times the size of any normal such example of the ancestor's devices. Through these technological crowns the pilot kings gain some ability to provide suggestions to the great spirits of the Titanum.
The Pilots Kings of Omega are the collectively most important lineages on the planet, as without them, humanity would no doubt fall. You are the Heir to one such King, or at the very least you had been the heir to one such king.

Now your Parent has died. The previous Pilot-king has left an empty throne and as the sole remainder of the bloodline you are now the sole ruler of one of the 11 metal Gods that walk Omega, one of the earth shakers, iron striders. All of the denizens of the Titanum that your sire had previously ruled before his or her untimely death are now your responsibility.

You Are

[] Jonathan Mongore The pilot King of the Ouranos, Admiral of the skyfleet.
(bonus to martial and Diplomacy)
The newly crowned ruler of the Titanum Ouranos after your father died in a Windrider crash. The Walker's people have developed a culture surrounding the Massive Aerodrome of your city, A remnant from the time of prosperity and the age when the Titanum had been built. Within the Aerodrome lie the remains of many Ancient Aircraft and some of the newer replica of such that have been built by your people after the start of the grand silence.
While the powerful gravity of Omega does not lend itself well to aerial vehicles and the updraft caused by the Titanum steps can cause some turbulent conditions, it is still possible to get a limited amount of flight time outside of the Titanum. More than enough to help ward off attacks against those foolish enough to stand against a Titanum. The skies of omega are oppressive things, will you be able to brave the crushing force, the unending storm and the eye of the hurricane to lead your fleet to victory.

Titanum:
Name: Ouranos

Maintaining the average structure of a Titanum, the Ouranos is a small touch slimmer and taller, just by a touch in comparison to the other behemoths of metal and power that wander the surface. The translucent dome that covers the city forms a shape that is a touch more pointed, and in the many colors of the eternal sunrise creates a rainbow of lights, reflecting and shining onto the streets of the mega-city.

Advantages:
AeroDrome:
A Massive structure set within the body of the Ouranos, capable of releasing and storing hundreds upon hundreds of flying machines, creating an effect similar to a nest of hornets if the Titanum is assaulted.

Arial culture:
The sky is yours. To your people, the ability to fly is a gift from the great Titanum Ouranos. As such it is generally considered normal to be able to fly at the very least a quad craft, every body has some form of talent to the art of flying. This culture of flight has led to your people have a great number of skilled pilots, and a great many of people able to do the job in a pinch.

Merchants rule the skies:
Your people's natural talent for flying makes them some of the most proliferate traders on the face of Omega, using super heavy freight vessels they are able to make the long journeys between titanum Making a great amount of coin. While the merchants may pocket a fair amount, they still make port at the Ouranos meaning all of that coin will flow through it at some point.

Disadvantages:

Pilots Arrogance:
To an inhabitant of ouranos, the gift of flight is theirs. As such who would ever wish to trudge along on foot or even..ugh.. With wheels. As such the ground forces tend to be a little… understaffed and under skilled.
This can be something of a problem if the enemy ever truly manages to board the Titanum.
Penalty to all military ground operations. Undertrained and undesirable.

Infestation:

Unfortunately, at the time of your coronation, some idiot had decided to smuggle some greenskin beasts onto the Titanum, which has proceeded to rapidly multiply and attack any human they come across. It could take decades to clear them from the various tunnel and passages of the Ouranos and if you leave them alone there is no telling what they could do to the sacred inner working, not to mention the raids upon your people. You have your work cut out for you, hunting down the beasts through the million upon million of kilometer long tunnels and hatches in an environment that benefit their brute strength and low intelligence.
Enemy present inside the Titanum, Hunt them down before they bring ruin to you.

[] Ferrous Gwint the Pilot-Queen of Ares, Grand general.
(Bonuses to martial and stewardship)
With the death of your father and most of your family, Suspected to be an attempted beheading strike by Bloody 8's turncoats, during your stay in the military academy you have now been crown the Pilot-Queen of the Ares, one of the largest and most militarily inclined of the surviving titanum. With legs more akin to mountains and a Citadel dome covered in armored plating, with only the barest amount of light is capable of getting through to the city, giving the city a feeling of dusk. The light of the city shines through the darkness.
With a strong military culture, the Ares continues its eternal march across the mega planet fighting the various Barbarians and hostile life forms that call the surface home. Will the enemy's of man finally fall after so long, will you lead your people to exterminate the inhuman beasts and monster that call omegas surface home?

Ares:
A larger than normal titanum, almost 20% larger, the Hyperion is absolutely Massive with durability to match. The entire population of the Hyperion has militia training to help protect the Hyperion from any form of boarding party. The legs of the Hyperion are much wider than a typical titanum, invoking the image of massive Tower shields.

Advantages:

Military culture:
From birth to death the population of the Hyperion constantly under go some form of military training, whether just basic militia or advanced special forces training the population is a skilled military force, making any attempt to board the Hyperion a losing endeavor. Your men have forgotten more about fighting within the inside of a Titanum and using their grapple gear, Then the soldiers of the of the other titanum even know.

Gum, Duct tape and spit:

During their military training, an engineer is taught to think on their toes and how to improvise. Quick fixes in the field are Part of their basic training and making improvised explosives out of nothing but an old boot, two cans, and a grapple gear clamp is nothing but a yawn to them.
Your engineers are some of the best damn combat engineers on the planet. Unfortunately, this seems to have made them a little... eccentric with the Combat engineers having almost threes times as many charges, complaints and disciplinary actions leveled against them as any other soldiers. But they are damn good at what they do.

Armor of the Ancients:
It is believed that all Titanum were giant cities sized laboratories at one point in time, filled with soldiers' scientists and their families. Every Titanum specialized at some form of research, And as such it is believed by the scholars that Ares was dedicated to the art of Ground warfare, it would certainly explain the advantage in infantry arms and armor that you have over the other Titanum.

Disadvantages

The Marauders Bloody 8's:
A group of marauders descended from the fallen Titanum Eris. They Ride around the planet on various scrap bound vehicles and obsessed with melee combat, while normally The steps of a titanum would be capable of blowing away their vehicles with ease they seem to defy this common sense, instead capable of getting within boarding range of the Ares. They seem to love launching attacks on the Ares, attacking obsessively if they catch any hint of the Ares.

Giants sleep:
The Ares is larger, faster and more capable than all other Titanum When it comes to a battle, prowess backed by the heavily martial nature of the people that call it home… however such power and prowess come at a cost, Every 5 years when a Titanum is forced to sleep by it self-repair subroutines the Ares is forced to sleep for 2 years, while all others sleep for one. On the upside, your soldiers get blooded quite quickly.

Who Killed My Father!:
How did your father and family die, inside a Titanum and surrounded by a population of trained soldiers? Whoever brought this tragedy about must be found before they can strike again.

[] Ronald Damascus, Pilot King of Rhea. Grand Engineer and High Scholar (Bonuses to learning and piety)
The newly crowned ruler of one of the oldest Titanum on the face of Omega after your mother passed away in her sleep almost a week ago. The Rhea is thought by your scholars to be almost a thousand years older than the other Titanum on that walk the face of omega.
This is something of a bit of pride for your people, and as such you commonly have scholars from many different Titanum moving to the Rhea in hope of unlocking some of the secrets that an early prototype could hold.
Now you direct this living monument to human progress and the people that live upon it. lets hope your up to the task.

Rhea:
Looks like a "standard" Titanum in all truth, with a couple extra scuffs here or there in truth. The Massive crystals imbedded in the legs, have lost a touch of their luster but the Rhea still inspires awe and terror in equal measure.

Advantages:
Scholars A 'plenty:
While the scholars have made little to no progress in understanding the titan machines, they still flock to the rhea to conduct study. And because of this influx and surplus it can be rather easy to find Scholars to help with any for of projects that might be necessary.

Mega construction:
When it comes to Big building, your people are the best on omega. Done quicker cheaper and better than anyone else. Bit of a shame that space is a bit limited and super heavy vehicles aren't very useful, from the back of a Titanum, with the exemption of your superheavy flying freighters. Either way, your people are some of the best at mega construction on the planet.

Disadvantages:

Mechanical problem: something is starting to go wrong with the Rheas systems, every time you plug into the Mind impulse unit these days it takes almost a full hour to work through the error reports. The complexity and mysteries of the inner workings of A Titanum are a mystery to you and you can only guess. Something about Gravity actuators and a loss of power?

Plagued Crop:
Something must have been brought back from the planets surface because you hydroponic farms, Vital to feeding the people living on the Rhea, has been contaminated and is no longer fit for consumption. If it was that issue that would be fine, all Titanum Store at least a years worth of food inside the Titanums gigantic hangers and warehouses, it would simply be a matter of replacing the crop and planting a new one. However, you are not so fortunate. The plague seems particularly stubborn, refusing to be exterminated and keeps showing back up in the next crops. t this point your officials are thinking a tearing down the farms and melting them down to ensure the viruses destruction before rebuilding them. However, this will cost money. A lot of money, and the longer it takes the worse your food stocks will grow.

Tech has basically either stagnated or degenerated over the last few thousand years for a few reasons that can be explained. While you do have most of the templates for some complicated things, it comes down to having the blueprints without actually understanding it.
Next is because of the sheer dangers that the enemies on the planet pose, causing damages and the unfortunate loss of some of these blueprints over the year. The Titanum is almost unbeatable, which is good because without the Titanum humans on the planet would have either died off or changed in some nasty ways.

Piety in this game acts as your religion as well giving some bonuses to learning at high levels because your religion revolves around the Titanum and some forms of Tech in general. Like tech priests.

I have a very bad habit of my muse pushing me to do stuff at poor timings. As my first class of College starts tommorow, I have no clue why I think this is a good Idea

Other two choices seem military focused (with a bit of merchants for the first). That straight up makes them non-choices for me.

Don't really like characters focused on military and the possibility of playing as and/or ruling over tech-priests is interesting.

Ronald and Ferrous are tied at 5 votes each, so I'll keep the vote open for another hour. If the Tie isn't broken I'll just roll a die

[X] Ronald Damascus, Pilot King of Rhea. Grand Engineer and High Scholar (Bonuses to learning and piety)

Character Creation: Traits
You are Ronald Damascus the son of lady Regina Damascus The Enlightened One and t pilot-Heir of the grand Titanum Rhea.
With the passing of your mother, you have been crowned the new pilot-king. The time between the news of your mothers death reaching you within your study and your coronation can be measured in hours because of one fact that is true in this world.
There must always be a pilot-king, and there will be time for you to personally mourn her death later.

The public coronation/funeral is thankfully not a hasty thing, having been planned out to the most minute details by the scholars and High engineers on the day of your birth when succession was guaranteed.
The head engineer takes his place next to the members of your mother's counsel, aged to a one. A council seat next to the Pilot-king is a position that is most typically held for life, whether their own or the life of the Pilot-king is a matter for debate.

The ceremony is held outside of Palace tower, a skyscraper that was built directly above the Bridge of the Rhea to cover the only entrance inside the dome, It also doubled as a home for the royal family and the primary administrative Hub for the rhea's government.
You are Ronald Damascus, A Grand scholar of The Rhea's Grand Archive and now a Pilot-king, Officially making you one of the most important individuals in the world. Honestly, A part of you wished that this day would never come.

Ronald Damascus has spent his life working in the archives, researching mystery's and providing support on other projects. As such he starts with the trait:

Grand Scholar: +3 learning +3 piety, stat rolls for learning may be rolled twice, choosing the better number.
(Having access to the largest archives in the land, the world of knowledge and science has entranced you since you were a child in your mothers lap, And as such you became one of the 13 grand scholars of the Rhea and as such one of the people that managed the day to day goings on of the rheas Scholars)

-Atlas (+4 martial +10% disease resist +8% fertility)
For a man who spends his time in the archives, you are massive. With a body that would put an Ares soldier got shame, you have never gotten sick a single day in your life. [Costs 2 trait points]

-Attractive [+2 diplomacy]
You are quite attractive, finding that you have quite the easy time talking with the fairer sex.

-Scared [-1 diplomacy +2 martial +1 intrigue
An assassination attempt by a marauder colluder has left you with a rather large scar running across your face. This has led to you practicing your fighting skills every day, to ensure this never gets so close again.

-Well read [+2 learning ]
When you say that you have read a large amount of the archive you are telling the truth. Of the whole archive, a structure that is positively massive even in the mega-project laden dome of the Rhea, you have read about a quarter or a little more.

-Architect [+1 learning +1 stewardship]
You have studied a bit of construction during your time in the archives. In any other titanum you would be considered a skilled architect, but here, in the Rhea. Home to some of the best builders on the planet, you are the equivalent of a student with a long journey ahead of them.

-Building Big and building better [+4 stewardship, +3 learning, +3 piety, may add a bonus to mega-projects through a personal action]
The builders of Rhea are the amazing when they make a structure big and tall, it would be a shame if you hadn't taken time out of your busy schedule in order to actually study it.
[Costs 2 trait points]

-Brave [+1 martial, +5 to personal morale checks]
You have never lacked in the face of danger. You stand up and face it bravely.

-Combat Engineer [+4 martial +3 learning +3 piety.]
The Titanum are the lives of the people of omega, and with a number of dangerous creatures that can end up wondering the hulls of a Titanum, it was determined long ago that engineers be crossed trained as combat troops to deal with them and any boarders. As of these days, combat engineers are the pride of any Titanum military force. Capable of repairing damage, fixing and building vehicles and weapons and using grapple suits to navigate the outer hull of the Titanum, it can be said that combat engineers are the best of the best.
[Costs 2 trait points]

-Silver tongue [+1 diplomacy +1 intrigue]
The right words seem to flow from your mouth like honey.

-Spreadsheet wizard [+2 stewardship]
Paperwork, the bane of many. Except, perhaps you.

-Hedonist [+2 diplomacy +2 intrigue -1 to all other stats]
The finer things in life are what you craved, even as you take up scholars robes you would manage to have someone in your bed almost every night, and the things that you managed with lab equipment might be better off unsaid.

-Duelist [+1 martial +1 diplomacy]
Dueling is as much a social activity as it is a partial one, and you have gotten quite familiar with both a blade and the men who tend to be behind them over the years.

-Administrator [+2 stewardship]
Everything goes to its specific place, you make certain of that indeed.

-Zealous [+4 piety, Autofail all diplomacy checks against A faction or individual that smears the Rhea]
The sacred Rhea is your life and the life of every human that rests upon its sacred back. Thus you have thrown yourself into the holy literature of the engineers and scholars in order to best preserve it forever more.

-Weapon tinkerer [ +2 learning +1 martial]
You like to tinker with your weapons, making many small and some not-so-small upgrades to them over the years.

- Spark of Madness [+8 learning, +4 piety, -4 Diplomacy -4 intrigue -2 stewardship]
Your mind works in strange ways, often getting distracted and moving onto the next project as you work in the temple to knowledge is known as the Rhea. You see the world directly than everyone else and it shows quite clearly.
[Costs 2 trait points]

-Trusting [+3 diplomacy -1 intrigue]
Your tongue might be… a bit too loose around those you believe allies. While this makes you some quick friends, secrets can be hard to keep when a large portion of your social circle knows of them.

-Paranoid [+5 intrigue -3 diplomacy]
Their coming for you, you know it. And you will be ready.

-Cruel [+1 martial +2 intrigue -1 diplomacy]
The pain of others delights you, you act free of mercy and learn how best to crush your enemies, both on and off the battlefield. Some might find this disconcerting though.

-Deceitful [-2 diplomacy +4 intrigue]
Lies flow as freely from your mouth as wine does a banquet table, and you have gotten quite good at the twisting of words. Of course, those that know you're a liar don't trust your twisted words in the slightest.

-Stutter[ -5 diplomacy +1 trait point]
Long periods of time in the archive, with little to no social contact, has left you painful awkward and nervous around others, Many have trouble taking you seriously when you can barely manage to not mangle the word "And".

-Weak [- 3 martial -10% disease resistance +1 trait point]
Your body is weak, painfully susceptible to injury, harm, and disease. The best you can manage is lifting a few heavy books to the top of the shelves in your study. Truly not fit for combat.

-Slothful [-1 to all stats +1 trait point]
You. Are. Lazy. Your preferred state of being is doing nothing and without serious prodding.

-Craven [-3 martial –15 to all personal moral checks +1 trait point]
A coward you have been called, scared of pain, scared of consequences, scared of death. And you run, run as fast as you can.

I do wish to warn you that traits that you pick up now can and will affect traits you get in the future because these traits help define your character in my head a little more (E.G a character with craven would require a hell of a lot more to gain a trait like brave than someone without it. Not to say getting traits will be easy but its an example.)
