"The Sun Shall Rise Again"
For millennia, the unbreakable stone moved throughout the world. Passing from owners as such things did, decades in the treasury of some king might give way to a few years in some art gallery or museum. During this time countless attempts are made to divine its secrets. Everyone from sorcerers to scientists trying to pry secrets from the stone, with no results, in the end it simply becomes a constant. Something that travels through history unmarked and unremarked except for when some new fool or technique is applied to the unbroken surface.

The room is dark, the size obscured by the cloying black. Dust covered the floor in a thick layer undisturbed for years, but the great stone object was untouched by the filth. The first sign of something changing was the distinctive noise of rock cracking and a sudden ghostly wail of wind as pressure equalized. Following the gunshot like noise, there was silence for a moment before a deep grinding resounded through the room. A tiny crack that had formed around the circumference of the stone sarcophagi showed itself to be a complete separation of a lid, and as it slowly began to slide to the side, golden light beginning to pour from the now exposed internals.
A single limb escaped from the slight gap, its inner radiance illuminating the room. If someone could see it, they might note the almost skeletal build, the result of eons of neglect, yet something that did not seem to hinder it in the slightest. With a harsh movement, the limb grabbed the stone lid and threw it to the side. With a great crash, the insides of the stone prison was exposed completely revealing the being it had imprisoned for millennia.

I have returned, in all my Semicolon abusing Glory. With a new quest for the masses, the school year is almost over and with it most calls on my time.As the name might have hinted, all the choices of characters in this thread are somehow related to the Sun. And as seems to be the norm in my quests, horribly overpowered. So let's see how far I can take this.
The Sun Never Sets
Throughout history there have always been mysteries; events, people, and objects that defy explanation. This is the story of one such item, a sarcophagus of massive size. A three meter long, one meter wide, and one meter block of grey stone, it more resembled a hand hewn stone than one of the ornate burial chests of the ancient civilizations that it was named after. The reason for its name was twofold. Its weight was such that it must have been hollow mostly hollow, but no instruments had managed to see inside the stone and no tools had managed to scratch the rough surface. Secondly, a carved inscription on the "top" of the stone that always seemed to be inscribed in the reader's home language. It always read the same, but to some it was a warning, to others a promise."The Sun Shall Rise Again"
