In regards to Law and Chaos in SMT 1 and 2, I find it interesting that some of the assumptions that you have if you go in there from the games that came later are flat out wrong there .

Yeah, I'm much more used to Law being the status quo guys, either directly in enforcing/maintaining normal society or just in the sense of keeping YHVH/God/etc on top. The events on SMTI make sense given the contemporary political climate but I forgot for a bit that the earlier games in the series were actually willing to commit to the social commentary.
