The annoying kids didn't help matters either. So I usually kept to myself and sat in a corner away from them.
"You're weird." a kid I didn't pay attention to said.
"Right," I replied dryly without even looking up fro my paper and went back to writing.
Damn my motor skills.
My handwriting was very impressive for an 8-year-old but still not satisfactory.
Writing stories was one of the only things that I could do to alleviate my boredom.
My Imagination soared through the air as countless ideas and what if's were considered to form a beautiful story.
However, I had an opportunity that no one else had! I knew stories and fiction from my past life, and some of them didn't exist here.
Ufotable can't touch me here in this universe because they didn't exist!
Unfortunately, Disney still exists what about other fanfiction?
I've read excellent fanfiction over the years, but if I write it here it would not be considered fanfiction...
Mwahahahaha.
"Why are you laughing like that?"
I couldn't help but answer this time. "I am going to write stories out of this universe!" Then I continued laughing.,
"Mwuahahaha!"
"Really, what kind of stories?"
"Stories about Magic and adventures of course!" Wait who was I talking to again?
I look towards the kid I was talking to...
Oh shit...
"Woah, really? Let me read it sometime Okay? Hi, I'm Sayaka! What's your name?"
Well fuck.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
It took me about two months to finish my first work. (Plagiarization)
Ever since Sayaka read my first story, she has been enamoured and kept asking me for another one, of course, the writing was still something I would do anyway so I acceded her request.
This universe had Magical girls for most of its anime... I mean seriously?
Isn't real magical girls enough?
So I decided to write the story of The First Transformers Movie...
I gave Sayaka a copy, and when she came to school the next day she asked if there was more...
----
"Are you done yet?" Oh, and Sayaka was now following me when she was not talking to Madoka.
Who was now behind Sayaka...even when I was at home. Sayaka asked her parents and now she was here.
"No."
"Kyouske-kun lets play!" And now here was Madoka,
Apparently decided to talk with me for reasons I cannot fathom.
I just hope Homura doesn't kill me for this...
"I'm sorry, but I am currently writing Kaname-san."
"Come on Kyouske, you're always writing. You should play too, come on."
I suppose I could take a break. My hands were aching. I kept my pencil down.
"Alright fine. what do you want to play?"
"Hide and Seek."
"Alright." I knew their fates. I knew that they would eventually become Magical girls and suffer.
I decided I would try to keep them happy atleast until that time.
My director is a pretty chill guy. I invited him to attend the BBQ party I was hosting with the help of my parents and he arrived with bottles of juice and beer.
Needless to say, dad got along with him pretty well.
We even had some fireworks. That Mom lit up. I might be a 'Prodigy' but I was still prohibited from handling fire.
Near the end of the party, I informed the Director that I had an Idea that could if done well be a revolutionary anime, and so I gave him the basic idea for my next masterpiece. (Blatant Multiversal Plagiarization).
Evangelion.
Movies 1.1, 2.2 and 3.3.
He was quite sceptical at first because mecha anime had been outshined by magical girl anime for some mysterious reason, and they never took off. He told me that he would have to see the first manuscript before he changes his mind.
Of course, I hated the Evangelion ending so I'm going to change it a bit. In the end, Shinji would fuse with Eva Unit 01 as he was rescuing Rei. However, the third impact does not occur or rather Shinji now completely fused with the Eva wills the Impact to stop. In Evangelion for a God to be born all life before it has to be wiped. That is what causes the impact. However, Shinji absorbs the energy from the impact process and reverses the damage done to the world. from the previous impacts as well.
Doing it required massive amounts of energy, causing Eva unit 01 to completely burn itself out. In the end, three bodies are left.
Shinji, Rei, and Yui Ikari.
And They Lived Happily ever after Yui gives Gendo a nice kick in his ass. Or something along those lines..
THough I'm sure my editor was going to edit it a lot...
For the first few days. After the movie was released they were a few hundred thousand people who bought it and it increased.
By the end of the day, three 1.5 Million Copies were sold. So my director made it available Digitally.
At first, the number of copies bought skyrocketed to 10 million in a week. But after that, it slowed down. and the no Digital copies were sold. It was strange. This was exactly what happened to transformers. At first, there was a huge amount of popularity. But the moment we uploaded it digitally. Digital sales went down to nearly zero.
Bluray Copies were still sold though.
Why?
Was it bad? No that was not it. The animation was even better than my original world.
Even the angry editor reluctantly agreed that it was interesting.
Perhaps... wait... I had a theory.
The Incubators are influencing digital media. So that something to with the 'COOlness' and positive image of magic would outshine ones that didn't have magic...
If this was so then I needed to bring it.
I informed my director that there might be a hacker influencing the internet so that anime and manga containing Magic in a positive light outshone the others.
When I brought this up he immediately checked the ratings Animes and manga released up to now... and it strongly supported my theory. Even Anime with high ratings, as long as they don't use magic they don't sell as well as ones with Magic.
The Director informed me to keep quiet about this discovery and make sure that my future stories had Magic in it.
Once I went home I began to write.
It was time.
TIme to start my warning.
I was going to recreate one of my most favourite anime with the director's help.
I requested the Director that I wanted final say on the animation and to make sure nothing was cut out.
At first, he refused but when I said He didn't need to pay me in exchange for this he was quite surprised.
After giving the go-ahead, it had been almost 2 years since I began the project.
Fate stay night Unlimited Blade works, Trailer was released.
I added that a Wish would be granted by the winner of the holy grail at the end of the trailer.
And sure enough when the trailer was released on to the net. A few weeks later the trailer was viewed by an insane 2 billion people.
Coincidence? I think not. The Corrupt grail revealed at the end would make any future magical girl think twice about it.
More like Incubator influence.
When the incubator sees, that despite the fact holy grail is corrupted people still like Unlimited Blade Works? He would not interfere. But it would make any magical girl consider quite carefully before they make a wish.
"Hey, Kyousuke wait up!" Sayaka called out from behind me as I was heading towards school.
"Good morning Sayaka."
"Hey, I saw that new trailer, it's yours right?" I nod.
"Oh this is going to be so awesome I just know it!"
"Sayaka- chan please don't run so fast." Madoka panted as she caught up with the energetic girl.
"Well, shall we go?"
We head to class... I could only hope these peaceful days would last as long as possible.
Almost a year has passed since Unlimited Blade works had been released. To say it was a hit was an understatement. I was now a literal millionaire. I had about 15 Million dollars. This was held by my parents as I was not age yet. I was now writing the manuscript for Fate/Zero.
Suddenly an idea popped up in my head.
Something absolutely ridiculous, and frankly stupid. But I wanted to try it anyway.
I may not be able to use magic. However, that didn't mean I couldn't prepare myself. The technology in this universe far above technology in my previous world.
The internet is a very useful thing for finding things.
Especially connecting people, finding a scientist was easy. Getting them to take my idea seriously was a whole other situation, especially when I told them that this research had to be kept secret.
When I told him that I would fund it he agreed. I now had Minato-san and his coworkers working for me.
And so the project began in secret. A weapon. A weapon to protect me.
All 15 Million dollars I had, had gone into research. My parents asked what I was using the money for and I told them it was for scientific research...
I usually went to the Lab when I was free.
The first hurdle we had to solve was the Powersource. The weapon I was creating used huge amounts of power.
I was creating an armour similar to starks Iron man Armour.
However, I couldn't fit a nuclear reactor inside my chest. Ignoring the fact the arc reactor didn't make any scientific sense and was complete fiction.
There was however one thing could be used to power my suit.
Hydrogen.
Compressed Liquid hydrogen and Liquid oxygen could provide the Power needed.
It also would feed the Hydrogen Fuel Cell which would sit on the chest plate where the impossible arc reactor would lay, powering the electronics, critical systems, power-hungry Lasers and weapons.
I also added LED's to it to make it look like an arc reactor.
Creating the power system took three months to pressure test and make sure the system was safe.
Next was the Hydraulic Systems and the Motors and the framework, those were simple. Compared to the power source.
"Hey, whatcha doing?"
"AAAAAH!" I spun around in surprise. "Oh it's you Sayaka, what are you doing here?" I held my hand on my chest, glaring holes in her head. " You nearly gave me a heart attack, and who let you in any way?"
"What? You've stopped coming to play for weeks now, and Madoka's worried. So I came to see what you were doing."
"So what are you doing anyway?"
"I'm conducting research."
"And what are you researching." She asked sceptically.
"Weapons?" I said a bit hesitantly.
"Riiiight! Come on! Madoka is waiting." She said clearly not believing it, before dragging me out of the lab.
"Don't worry boy, go on with your girlfriend. I'll continue working on it."
Before I could deny his claim I was dragged out the door.
Okay, it was kind of my fault for not telling them anything but still, it was hard to keep a straight face when Madoka was angry. She was just too cute.
"Kamijou-kun. Where in the world have you been!"
"Researching."
"Researching?"
"Yeah, I went to his house and his mom told me that he was in some kind of lab. So I went there and found Kyouske working of some sciency stuff."
"I see." Madoka sighed losing her anger. She couldn't stay angry for long.
"Stupid Kamijo, we thought we did something wrong, and you didn't want to see us anymore."
Sayaka began to snort and then fell down laughing.
"Oh god. Madoka, you really look like a hamster."
"Sayaka-chan!"
"Kamijo-kun, tell her that's not true!" Madoka asked turning to me.
I coughed and looked away whistling innocently.
Madoka glared at me and Sayak fell down clutching her sides.
The Frame of the armour was made with a combination of tungsten carbide and Titanium and Graphene. The frame was one of the most expensive parts of the armour. It had to be really strong as I was going to be fighting monsters. Magical monsters.
During tests, the armour was able to withstand 130,000,000,000 Pascals of force. Thanks to the combination of Graphene, Titanium and trace amounts of Tungsten carbine.
With the armour complete all that was remaining was building the weapons.
And Finally, Artificial intelligence to help pilot the machine and a computer for it to run on. Oh, and Stealth systems.
Walking to school never got old. it was relaxing and as advanced as Mitakihara was it still had a lot of trees and beautiful scenery. Especially the Sakura Trees
"Good morning, Hitomi-san."
"Good morning, Kyouske-san."
"Yo, Hitomi!"
"Good Morning Sayaka-san, Madoka-san"
"Hey Kyouske, what kind of songs do you like?" Sayaka asked curiously.
"Songs, huh? Well, I like Rock songs, but I also like traditional Japanese songs without any vocals."
"Oh, what about you Madoka."
"Well, I like Orchestral I guess?"
"So you're a classic fan, eh? Wait Hitomi plays the piano right?"
"Yes, I do."
"What do you think of solo piano songs Kyousuke?"
"Well, Sayaka-chan, I like the calming type of Piano songs, no aggressive ones. however as nice as Solo Pianos are it's even better if it was combined with a flute."
Ah, small talk like this often made me forget the true nature of this world that I was preparing for it was relaxing in a way.
I knew Kyousuke had suffered an accident. However, it never mentioned what kind of accident.
I'm pretty sure this NOT the accident.
Fuck.
I lost both my arms from the elbow down. All that was left was two stumps. How the fuck am I supposed to write now.
I just finished releasing Fate Zero a few weeks ago and I had started writing the story for Fate Grand Order, rather than a Gacha game, I was going to animate it.
This was not an accident.
That much I knew it's not possible.
It was impossible for two powerlines to simultaneously fail at the exact same time and fall. Then electrocute me in such a way that only my both my arms are electrocuted.
This had to be the incubators fault.
I was angry.
I should have known they would retaliate.
All my work made uselessly. How the hell am I supposed to fight now? How can I even survive? I was helpless.
I sat on my hospital bed. It's been a week and today I was being released. As advanced as medicine was for this world they couldn't fix it and I was amputated,'
Sayaka used to come by with Madoka and put on Unlimited Blade works for me to watch. I admit even if I wrote it, it was still nice. My mom and dad come every day before and after work to visit me.
Sometimes she even used to bring me Pepperoni pizza.
My favourite.
As I watched Shirou cut of Gilgamesh's arm in the final battle I winced.
Wait.
That's it.
If I don't have an arm then I'll just have to make one.
Once I was released, the first thing I did was head to the Lab.
On the way to school, I made a short detour to the lab. AI was partially completed, and the weapons are almost ready.
However, I went there to pick up something else. A Cybernetic arm worth over a million dollars.
To be exact an arm made from a Titanium alloy. However, It also had something special.
A computer.
It was where the Ai would be stored when it was needed to pilot the suit. Otherwise, it would be on the server.
Two computers in both arms would run the AI that would run the suits critical functions. However, it also had several sensors that allowed me to feel my artificial arms. It
The cybernetic arm was then covered with a polymer that felt and looks exactly like skin.
It would apear to others as if I had never lost my arm but to me. It would be different.
I flew through the night sky out of Mitakihara, ascending through the clouds and broke the sound barrier with a sonic boom.
I didn't know flying could feel like this.
I twisted and turned, doing loops. Flying on a plane didn't have anything on this. was this how fighter pilots felt like? If so, they were seriously lucky bastards.
Flying felt like freedom on a whole new level. You are free from the ground!
I will never forget the absolute elation that ran through my soul.
"YEAAAAAH!"
I think I flew for more than an hour. before returning to the lab to an irritated Minato. Apparently, I took a bit too long and it was past his working hours. So I decided to treat them all to Yakiniku and beer. Of course, I wasn't going to drink beer.
"Well then now then that's out of the way lets give a big warm welcome to our new classmates." I hear the teacher saying as Homura approached the door and strode in. "Come in Miss Akemi, don't be shy."
Homura stopped next to the teacher and faced the class. "Why don't you tell the class a little bit about yourself?" The whole class began whispering about how cute and cool looking she was. Not that I disagreed.
She was indeed gorgeous.
"I am Homura Akemi it's nice to meet you." she introduced herself, stoic as a board. She gave a short bow and began to write the kanji on the board and the class gave a small applause. She then sharply glanced at Madoka causing her to flinch a bit and look elsewhere in nervousness.
Then she glanced at me.
Wait she glanced at me? Why? And why did she smile when glancing at me?
OK calm down Kyousuke.
Think logically.
...........
I see.
Well, I should have expected this. I changed everything by existing after all.
Well, I suppose I'll cross the bridge when I get to it.
The rest of the day I saw cannon completely derailed.
Homura, did not act like she had a headache, nor did she try to talk to Madoka, which raised a huge red flag, what happened? What did I do in the previous timelines to change it so drastically.
While she still did excellently in all the subject causing everyone including Sayaka to think she is very cool, which she was, she did occasionally glance at Madoka and me.
.......
Well, I can't do anything but go along with the flow and prepare for now.
Apparently, cannon was happening and while Sayaka and Madoka invited me to come along with them to a music shop I told them I had work to do and that I would catch up with them later.
Today was the day Gertrud was going to hatch. Since cannon seems to be off the rails I have to be ready the best I can.
As I walked out of school I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Turning to see who stopped me I saw Homura staring.
"I wish to speak with you Kyouske san."
"Alright," I turned facing her. "So what do you want to know?"
"Not here, there are too many ears." She looked around as if ready to jump at anything. "Incubator." She whispered.
Okay, so I did something in one of the previous timelines where she comes to know that I was fighting against the incubators years before.
"So, not something that can be discussed in the open, I suppose."
"Very well, Please follow me."
I lead her home, Mom and dad were at work which meant fewer questions.
I gestured her to take a seat. "Would you like tea or coffee Miss Akemi, perhaps some juice, have you eaten lunch?"
She let out a small smile. "Some tea would be nice." She said as she sat down.
"Right, I'll be back in a moment.
---------------------------------------------
I kept the cup of warm tea on the table and sat down in front of her across the table.
"Javis please activate the Electromagnetic Jammer."
"Right away, sir." Within moments the house glowed blue and then all forms of surveillance were cut off from.
I turned to Homura, "Alright. How can I help you Homura-san?"
"You are aware of the incubators and their actions." It was not a question but a statement.
"Yes, I am," I admitted there was no use trying to hide it.
"You are also aware of magical girls and their true nature." Another statement. What the hell did past me do?
"Yes, I am," I admitted.
"I am from the future, and in a month, a witch called Walpurgisnacht would strike Mikitaka, it would destroy all of Mikitahara if it is not stopped, will you help?."
Okay, I didn't expect her to be so straight forward...
"I...see, what can I do to help you Homura-san?"
She was silent.
I looked at her and I saw tears streaking down her cheek.
"Homura-chan are you OK? What happened?
What the hell changed Homura so much?
"No, I'm just happy, Kyouske-Kun, is too nice,"
I raised an eyebrow at this and she continued.
"Kyouske-kun was the only one who believed me. This isn't my first time. I've repeated this month several times now. I've tried to warn them. However, nobody else believed me. No one else did not even Madoka, I tried so hard, I keep telling them and yet they think I'm trying to trick them. When Walpurgisnacht came we fought it, and sometimes you die, I, sometimes you succeed but barely, and Mikatihara is destroyed, Madoka once gave me her last grief seed so that I could live."
"Sound's like Madoka," I muttered.
"Yes, Madoka-sempai is nice as well, but she doesn't believe me" She sounded heartbroken. "Kyouke-Kun and Madoka-sempai helped me a lot."
Yep, this Homura is indeed a lot different.
I, see...
She then broke down crying.
"I couldn't save Madoka, I couldn't save Sayaka, I couldn't save Mami, I tried to warn them I tried helping them, I don't know. I tried to help them but I couldn't...I failed..." Sobs wracked her little body.
I sat beside her and gave her a gentle hug...
She gave a hiccup. I took out my handkerchief and gently wiped her tears away. "Don't worry Homura-chan. Well, get through this.." I did what I could to comfort her.
"Kyousuke-kun saved me before I was a magical girl. You flew in your armor and rescued me from the witch, then Mami, Sayaka, and Modaka defeated it. you asked if I was injured, when you found out my guardian never checked up on me, you took me in. You helped me train my magic even beyond what I thought I could do. You're too kind Kyouske Kun.
"Please don't leave me this time.... " she whispered mentally exhausted.
"Alright. I'll do my best to survive, But I don't think I can do it on my own now can I?" I gave a small smile.
"Yeah." She seemed relieved at those words.
Yet we both knew it would be something difficult if not impossible.
Suddenly she stiffened.
"Homura chan?"
"Madoka-sempai is in danger!"
Fuck I completely forgot about Gertrud!
"Jarvis My portable Armour!". The Moment I said that a hidden compartment opened up from the ceiling dropping a briefcase. It wasn't as strong as the other one but I highly doubt I have time to go all the way to the lab for that.
I turned to Homura to see something surprising. She was wearing a purple Iron Man suit. So one of my past selves gave it to her? Makes sense.
"Can I have a Hydrogen/Oxygen Cartridge? I'm running low."
I nodded "Jarvis?"
"Right away Sir!"
Once she replaced her fuel cartridge she summoned her shield and took my hand before stopping time and connecting a small thread to me. It allowed me to moved when time was stopped. So long as the thread was connected
"We don't have much time. Let's go!"
"Right!"
We both blasted off, with Homura guiding me towards the witch.
As we both landed in the building still under construction Homura ran and I followed her unable to sense where the witch was like she did.
Homura resumed time and extended both her hands out then ripped open the a hole in the witches barrier as allowing me to see it for the first time.
As I flew through the witches barrier after her through the maze that was the witches barrier we destroyed familiars left and right blasting them to death.
"Sir, the sensors are picking up really strange energy readings. It's as if everything if made with Negative Energy."
My eyebrow rose. Negetive Energy? Intresting. No wonder it was so weird.
We soon found Madoka and Sayaka about to be attacked by familiars. Homura wasted no time blasting them to ashes as soon as we we saw them.
We landed in front them.
"Are you both alright?" Homura asked.
"Yeah.. We're just peachy." even I could hear the sarcasm.
'Sayaka-chan!"
"Good stay close if you want to stay that way, it's dangerous here."
"Okay. But where is here exactly?" Sayaka questioned as they both began to follow us.
I stayed silent. Homura knew better than me what information to give.
"This is a Witches Barrier, and you are inside it."
"A Witch?"
A witch is a being of dispair, they are creatures that feed off of misery and spread curses. While Magical Girls bring hope and Joy.
I nearly reacted. I didn't think I could hear the thing. I was pretending not to see it and I'll keep pretending not to see it.
"Wait Magical girls are real? And you guys are Magical girls?"
The girl in purple armour is one, however I don't recall her magical signature.
We had arrived.
Getrud was still there.
Homura didn't waste any time and took of firing her lasers at Getrud injuring it, it immediately flew up with its butterfly like wings trying to get away.
I joined in as well and fired my lasers.
Fortunately Getrud was not that powerful and died when Homura shot several Micro missiles into it.
Anti climatic...
I wonder how many weapons systems she has, I didn't have time to integrate more weapons into my suit. Especially since this was the portable version.
The barrier slowly receded as it left behind a grief seed.
Homura bend down and picked it up before storing it in her shield.
"So you're a Magical Girl?" Sayaka asked stars in her eyes.
"Yes, Though I would advise you not to become one."
"I can become one?"
Indeed you have the Potential to become a Magical Girl. I can grant you and wish in exchange you will become a Magical girl.
"Sweet I even get a wish. So why not?"
"Because it's extremely dangerous, Getrud is an exception, most others are very powerful and extremely dangerous. You could lose your life in an instant."
"Oh.." She looked downcast.
Then a voice from above called. "You know, you shouldn't really decide for her." and a Yellow haired magical girl jumped down,
"I simply gave her advice, the life of a Magical girl can end in an instant, and the dangers are horrifying, it's a fate I would not wish even on my worst enemies." Homura replied dead serious.
"Well, I think she can decide for herself right? What about you, what do you think?" Mami asked turning to me.
This person is not a Magical girl, but I can see potential within them though they do not seem to see me. Strange.
Mami turned to Homura. "You brought a Civilian to fight a witch?! How could you?"
"I did not force him."
I decided to speak. "Indeed, I came here of my own free will. I understand the dangers and came to support her." I said as I retracted my face plate.
""Kyouske?"" Madoka and Sayaka called out in surprise.
"Hello Sayaka, Madoka." I nodded to them
"Don't Sayaka me!" She walked up to me angrily. "I can't believe you are going superheroing in that armour. With the transfer student and then killed a villain."
"Sorry?" I tried
"Without meeeee." she pouted with fake tears.
Homura's face met her palm.
"Well I guess I can make a super suit for you too?"
Or you could be a Magical GIrl.
"Sweet." Sayaka cheered completely ignoring the incubator "SuperSayaka. Is going to kick ass."
So would you all like to come for Tea?" Mami asked and we all decided to agree.
While walking to mami's place
_______________________________________________________________________
"So what are your super hero names?" Sayaka began.
"IronMan" I said shamelessly
"Oh, cool! What about you Transfer student, Homura right?" Sayaka asked and Homura Shrugged. "How about IronShield!"
"No," Homura declined
"IronGirl, Lady Iron, THE Beam, Techno, Miss Little Iron, Ironmura!" Sayaka said enthusiastically.
"Ok, maybe, no, no, no and HELL to the NO!"
"Oh come on!" Sayaka cried out and Madoka and Mami giggled at the exchange, I sighed and shook my head at Sayaka's antics.
I relaxed as Mami poured us all a cup of tea and brought out a Cake.
We all sat on the couch, Homura sitting beside me to my right, with Sayaka to my left and Madoka next to Sayaka.
"I am Tomoe Mami, a Magical girl, nice to meet you" she gave a short bow as she finished serving us slices of Cake and sat down in front of us with the incubator taking a cushion beside her.
"I am Kyouske Kamijou, a Super Hero. Nice to meet you too." I returned her bow.
"Madoka Kaname, a student, not a Magical Girl or a Superhero."
"Homura Akemi. Veteran Magical girl." Short, simple and to the point.
"Sayaka Miki, soon to be Hero of justice!" Sayaka introduced herself grinning. Before fake pouting. "Well, as soon as Kyouske gets me a super-suit anyway." she then turned to Homurapointing an accusing finger at her. "Also, how in the hell did you get a suit?!"
"Kyouske-kun made it for me."
Sayaka looked at me as if I kicked her puppy. "Kyouske-kun, why did you make one for Transfer student before you made one for me?!"
"Well," I raised an eyebrow at her. "Considering you've never needed it before, no, I didn't see the reason, not to mention each suit costs nearly a Hundred billion yen to make."
Sayaka's eyes widened in disbelief and the number, Madoka raised a hand to her mouth and Mami's eyes boggled.
The 15 million that I used? Yeah, that was just the prototype.
I invested a lot of money and well as the tech I managed to develop in the early research and licensed them to several new companies.
If a company fails then they fail. If a company does really well then I'll invest more in them.
And in a few years, I managed to help a few companies grow a lot, my investments both monetary and technologically was giving me a lot of profit as a few of them went global.
So in a way, I had become one of the 1% in Japan.
"A Hundred Billion?!" Sayaka screeched! "Why in the hell is it so expensive?!"
"Well, there are Research and development costs. The costs of all the advanced parts and processors, Maintainance, fuel and of course weapons, not to mention I had to get a special IFF clearance to fly the thing so that JSDF doesn't start sending fighter planes to check out what the hell is going on."
Sayaka's mouth formed an O as she began to comprehend it, but still quickly recovered afterwards.
"By the way Miss Akemi," The incubator began talepathically. "I wonder why I do not remember contracting you? I remember every single magical girl I had contracted with and yet... I don't seem to recall you. Would you know why that is?"
Mami, Madoka and Sayaka looked at her in interest anticipating an answer while I bit into my cake continuing to do my best and ignore the incubator.
Hmmm, Cheesecake..not exactly my favourite type but it was pretty good.
"I suppose it is a side effect of my wish," Homura uttered before turning back to her tea.
"Yes, I suppose that is possible, may I inquire what it is?"
"No, you may not."
"I see, Miki Sayaka, Madoka Kaname" The incubator turned to the girls. "You both have a lot of potential to become a Magical Girl. All you need to do is make a wish! Any wish, in exchange you'll be turned into a Magical Girl who fights against despair!"
Sayaka pondered for a while before answering. "I don't know." She frowned. "It sounds too good to be true."
Holy hell, did my methods work?
"Of course it's too good to be true." Homura sighed, "The life of a Magical Girl is dangerous and a single mistake could kill you. It is not worth wasting a wish in order to fight with your life on the line for the rest of your life."
"Now, now" Mami interrupted. "I'm sure they can make their own decisions Homura-san."
"Well.." Sayaka pondered. "What are the limits of the wish?"
"There aren't many, you do have a lot of potential so very few wishes are beyond you."
"Hmmm, so if I make a wish, you grant me a wish and turn me into a magical girl right?"
"That is correct."
"And then I have to fight those things called the witches? Why exactly? And what are those things anyway?"
Holy shit! Anime taught Sayaka the Value of asking questions.
Though Homura doesn't seem surprised which made sense.
"If Magical Girls are the embodiment of hope that Witches are the embodiment of despair." Kyuubey said completely deflecting the question, but giving just enough so that most people might be satisfied.
"Not only that" Mami interrupted calling forth her soulgem it appeared in her hand in a bright glow. "This is my Soulgem, it's the source of my Magical girl powers. As I use it it gets darker and darker and if it becomes completely black then I just stop being a magical girl... Do you remember the witch?"
"Yeah?" Sayaka nodded "It was damn creepy." she shuddered.
"Well, when a witch is defeated it drops something called a grief seed." Mami took out one and placed it next to her souls' gem. "When it's placed near a soul gem..."
"The Darkness went to the soul gem!" Madoka exclaimed her observation.
"OH, so it's like MP except it doesn't automatically regenerate!" Sayaka concluded palming her fist.
"So Madoka Kaname, Sayaka Miki, is there a wish you would like granted?"
"No, I don't really have a wish Kyuubey-San, besides I'm not really good at fighting." Madoka eye smiled.
"Hmmm, I don't know. I think maybe after I see a bit more about Magical girls before I make a decision." Sayaka paused for a moment. "Hey, you said that Magical girls need Greif seeds to get back their MP right?"
"That is correct."
"Then, what if I wish for my MP to be able to regenerate itself?"
Kyuubey stilled at that. Even Mami paused.
"A wish that turns your soulgem into a perpetual energy machine? I don't think there had ever been a wish like that before." The incubators tail swished. Even he did not have emotions he was still definitely pleased at the idea.
"Is it even possible?" Mami whispered.
"If it is possible then she would be the first magical girl to never ever need to hunt for grief seeds. So is that your wish Miki Sayaka?"
"Nah, I still don't really know much about magical girls. Besides," Sayaka grinned turning to me. "I'm still waiting for my super suit!"
I let out a sigh... Well, looks like I've managed to change that a bit atleast.
"Ah, Kamijou Kyouske. It is odd, I've never seen a boy with potential before, not to mention how huge it is, if you made a wish, you could wish for absolutely anything! I do not know why it is so. It's as if you are somebody very very important, yet you are merely a student even if you do have a good mind for science. I do not know what exactly the reason you are ignoring me is but I have checked my sensors and given that if you were truly unable to see and here then your reactions would reflect someone listening to half of a conversation. Yet you do not."
Fuck.. Fuck, FUCK!!!
Homura's multiple timelines! What the hell did past me do to make Homura jump back for me instead of Madoka?! If my theory is right then thanks to the timelines I've gained a karmic weight instead of Madoka.
No wonder incubator finds my soul so strange!
Right the others were looking at me for an answer.
Well, the cats out of the bag so might as well get this over with.
"To be frank, I do not know who you are or even what you are. So I see absolutely no reason to trust you."
Mami's eyes narrowed. "Kamijou-San, are you implying that my friend is untrustworthy?"
I ignored her and continued glaring at the incubator. "Not to mention, you have been dodging some of Sayaka's questions, or giving incomplete and unsatisfactory answers which I find highly suspicious."
"Kamijou-san, I will not stand by and let you insult my friend! If you continue this will have to ask you to leave!" Mami slammed her hand on the table, losing control of her anger for but a moment. Only to realize her mistake a bit too late.
I stood up giving her a short bow. "Thank you for your hospitality Tomoe-San, I apologise for offending you. I shall remove my presence immediately." I took my bag and began to head out and stepped outside the door.
"Ah, Kyouske wait for me!" Dayak scrambled to get up and followed behind.
"Thank you for your time Tomoe-san, the cake was delicious." Homura got befor giving a short bow.
"Ah, Tomoe-san please forgive Kamijou-kun, he's just very overprotective." The evr not ce Madoka apologized despite the fact that it wasn't in anyway her responsibility.
'Wait what? I'm not overprotective am I?'
I know Mami just wants to be friends, that I do not mind, but I cannot allow Sayaka to become a Magical Girl without knowing all the risks and catches that come with it.
After knowing all that if she still wishes to be one then I won't try to stop her. But I will try to stop Kyuubey from taking advantage of her.
"Kyuubey, was I wrong?" Mami sniffles as she curled up in a ball on the Sofa. "I just wanted to make some friends, is that so wrong? Atleast I have you. " she cried her eyes puffy and red as she lay on the couch.
Because I'm pretty sure I have failed to friendzone Sayaka... And while I can understand why Homura seems to like me, what in the hell caused Madoka to get a crush?
I looked through all the files and Tech Homura gave me in amazement, there were three years of research, upgrading and advancement right here, even her suit is far more advanced than mine.
Every time Homura went back in time she carried all the tech and Data the past me managed to create and upgrade. Giving the next timeline me and the scientist a higher-tech and more Data to start of on.
The only thing her suit now needed to upgrade was the power supply. Her suit was so advanced and consumed so much power that a liquid hydrogen/Oxygen cartridge can barely last her 5 minutes before she has to change cartridges.
The good news was the past Timeline me's were not idle, and within the tech, she brought managed to come up with a prototype cold fusion reactor that relied on muons.
A muon induced fusion reactor.
It was brilliant!
Now I understood why Tony stark built the Arc reactor the way he did. The glow on the arc reactor was not arcs of electric current but the glow from the rapidly decaying muons. At first, I thought it was impossible. But I didn't even consider the unique properties of muons and just assumed something like that wouldn't be possible.
If I had tried to make an Arc reactor earlier would I have come up with the muon fusion Reactor prototype sooner?
I didn't know.
Fusion usually occurs in the cores of stars made from highly compressed and heated plasma.
But fusion can occur in non-plasma environments too. Like the hydrogen molecule wherein which two hydrogen nuclei are kept relatively near to each other by sharing electrons.
The nuclei don't stay a rigid distance apart though. They vibrate and wiggle and every so often they can in principle get close enough to fuse.
But with hydrogen or nitrogen or oxygen or pretty much all other molecules, this happens very, very, very, very, very rarely.
It was why the atmosphere which has a fair amount of molecules isn't a giant fusion bomb.
However, things are different if you replaced the electrons in the hydrogen or whatever molecule you use with muons instead.
Muons are exactly the same as electrons except they are about 207 times heavier.
Being essentially heavier electrons they form the atoms the same way as electrons but since they are so much heavier their orbits are much closer to the nucleus than an electron with the same energy as an electron with the same energy and angular momentum would.
This means the molecules held together by muons have the radius of their atoms 207 times smaller than normal making them many, many any times morel likely to fuse.
So much so that they could fuse together even in temperatures near absolute zero.
I couldn't contain my happiness.
"Homura, you magnificent woman!"
"Yes?" was all she could say before I grabbed her and gave her a big hug.
"You amazing woman! Thanks to you we cracked the secret to cold fusion!"
"Awawawawawawawa."
I slowly let go. "Homura? Are you alright?"
Her face was red.
"Awawawawawawawa!"
"Man you're burning up."
She then fainted and nearly hit the floor if I didn't catch. Her....wait a minute...
That blush... The stuttering... The fainting.....
Oh, God!
Homura is my Hinata, isn't she?
As if I don't have enough to deal with Sayaka having feelings for me.
Though i would admit I felt far more comfortable with Homura than with Sayaka because she was older than she looks and because she was someone I had a crush on.
Perhaps if I become her boyfriend Sayaka would give up?
No, that would only make the problem worse. I remember what happened when she tried to to get affection from the original douchebag Kamijou.
It's time to bring out my ultimate weapon... A Civil discussion about feelings instead of fighting and causing unnecessary anguish.
Maybe Madoka can help... She's always good at this sort of stuff.
For now, I carried Homura and gently lay her down on the sofa.
Still, I can't believe she fainted, I must have really fucked up the story.
I gently put Homura to bed making sure she would be comfortable and adjusted the thermostat to a nice cool 24 degree Celsius...
As I watched Homura sleeping silently, I saw that she was not just a powerful magical girl. She was an exhausted high school girl who sacrificed her soul turning to turn back time and save all of us.
How many times has she turned back the clock? How much has she done for us that she had to erase in order to try again and again?
I don't think anyone would ever be able to know how much she sacrificed herself for us.
How much she sacrificed for me.
What had I done to deserve this kind of person?
Nothing...
All I could do was do my best to try and repay her.
To make sure her efforts and sacrifices were not in Vain.
I don't think Madoka understood what she did to Homura when she became a Goddess.
I could only imagine how useless she would feel for all her effort trying to save her to be wasted and to only be the cause of Madoka suffering endlessly.
No wonder Homura rebelled against it.
While Sayaka was nice she was not someone who thought too deeply and was always quite a straight forward girl. Nothing wrong with that, but she didn't understand the sheer Grief that canon Homura went through even as she did that.
I was not going to let anything like that happen, not while I had something to say about it, and my past selves agreed with me considering the things that I saw that had been researched in Tech and Data Homura had brought.
"How's your Girlfriend Kyousuke?" My mother called out as I left the room.
"She isn't my Girlfriend." I couldn't hold back a blush as my face heated up. I certainly liked her a lot. And apparently, my blush was more than visible as my mother only continued teasing.
"Oh, my, my little boy is falling in love! Oh, what am I to do?"
"Mom!"
"This is Wonderfull! I'm going to be a Grandma!"
"MOM!" if my face could get any redder from the sheer embarrassment I would have been mistaken for a Tomato.
Her teasing was relentless, but it was something I was used to as she did it when Sayaka came around as well.
Perhaps deep inside me, I found myself happy that my parents were so accepting and caring.
"How is she?" My mom asked her teasing stopped, her gaze becoming concerned.
"She's fine, just asleep," I said breathing in relief now that she finally let go.
"Good, I can't have my little boys first love falling sick! The way you carried her in your arms. She was like a princess." My mom squeed as she twirled around.
"Moooom." I just groaned. I completely forgot that mom was a hopeless romantic, which I found out when Sayaka or Madoka hugged me. They were very young at that time so it was definitely not romantic in any sort of way, it was just a thank you or perhaps they were excited about something.
Mom though, well the way she reacted seemed though as if I was being proposed to. It was one of the reasons I started being careful not to make any romantic gestures when Sayaka and Madoka came around.
She's never going to let this go.
I just palmed my face and groaned once more as my mom continued to squee and pulled me in a hug.
Well, it was time to start working.
"Jarvis" I called out once mom was far away enough not to hear.
"Yes Sir."
"Open a file named project Cyborg, and Project Nerv, The sacrifices Homura and my past selves made will not be in vain."
"Sir, I urge you to reconsider project Cyborg and Project Nerv if they sound like what it is."
"Don't worry Jarvis. I won't be needlessly replacing parts of my body anytime soon, and no I'm not replacing my nerves either."
"Then may I ask what kind of projects they are?"
"Jarvis, you know that phrase that goes" if you can't solve a problem with firepower then you aren't using enough of it?" I'm about to take that to extreme levels."
"May I ask what you wish to use this much firepower against?"
"Within your systems, there's a protected file named "Walmart night." the password is SPIDER LILY. You should be able to understand why if you do. "
It took a few seconds for him to respond.
"I see, and what of this Witch doesn't appear?"
"Then I'll disarm any WMDs I've built by then."
"Very well, thank you for clarifying sir..."
"It's fine," I said waving. I wasn't about to bind it like Dragon or the Original Jarvis other than the first three laws of robotics and a few restrictions as training wheels which I removed in time. Other than that it was free to do everything else. This proved to be the correct choice as Jarvis was now quite a well adjusted AI.
With the issue of a high enough energy density power source now solved several of the weapons designs that the past me's were unable to use strictly due to power limitations become available. Including Railguns, Lasers and of course Fusion Bombs... Though I have to make it without any radioactive material, otherwise ordering them will raise so many flags.
Hmmm... Wait....with a few of the designs I remember I might even be able to build a Low orbit, Ion Cannon. Though getting approval from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau was going to be a headache. I have to make it small enough that they wouldn't think that it could possibly house a weapon.
I'll tell them I'm launching Cameras to observe the weather patterns or something...
Well, whatever the case is I'll be preparing for Wallmart night with lots and lots of Dakka.
More Dakka than any of my previous selves have done, if it doesn't succeed I'll have to add the result and any more research done this month into a drive along with all the tech prototypes, before giving it to Homura for the next jump.
Though hopefully,y I'll be able to make enough this time...
"Jarvis, what's my current worth?"
"Currently you have 15 Billion in US dollars that can be used immediately and 47 Billion USD in liquid assets, and stocks."
I'm not even sure it will be enough... Even going back on my word and making that horrible Gacha in FGO i was still not sure whether what I had will be enough...
Though I personally knew the hell that was salt so I did add an option, that allowed one to get any servant they desired in a shop... Though each one cost 1500 SQ to purchase, I promise I'll reduce it once I stop the Wallmart night. It was guaranteed and not limited to rate ups, but I did need it to prepare, and when I got a good amount of money I invested it in several Tech companies that seemed to do well.
I just hoped that this would be enough to stop Walpurgisnight.....
_______________________________________________________________Sayaka interlude. (the Next Day...)_____________________________________________
Sayaka Miki considered herself a very lucky girl.
Even if her parents were often busy with the business she had found people who cared for her. She had a wonderful best friend in Madoka. A wonderful future boyfriend in Kyousuke
Well, as soon as she could get him to look at her as a girl and more than a good friend.
Ever since she first saw him she found him fascinating. She first tried to approach him m because he was alone, many of the other kids calling him weird for being silent. But she soon found out that he didn't even care about it. His eyes seemed far more intelligent than his age suggested. They also felt older for some reason.
She loved reading the stories he came up with. Some of them were fun. Some of them were a bit ridiculous. And a few of them were a cringe to read. But she still enjoyed reading them.
Because he wrote them for her.
She didn't know why, but if she liked a certain story he would always make sure to make more of the series.
When she asked him to come to play with her and Madoka, he would always make time for them, even though she knew he was far more interested in science stuff. And writing stories during his free time.
He cared a lot about her and Madoka, that much she knew. Considering how much time he was willing to sacrifice for them even when she was being unreasonable.
She admits that she might have been unreasonable a few times. But that was to see how far he would go for them.
How far he would go for her.
She remembered the shocked look on his face. How his face snapped towards her when he heard her name, and the similar shocked look when she introduced Madoka to him.
Of course at that age, she didn't think much of it. But as she grew up she began to find that reaction a bit strange. What caused him to react like that?
Did he know someone else with that name? It was a possibility, her memories of that time were a bit faint these days. It was a long time after all.
And she almost forgot about it.
Until that day.
The day the transfer student came to class.
At first, she thought the girl looked like a bishojo. When she was about to ask Kamijo his thoughts on the new girl she saw his face.
And then she remembered it more clearly.
It was the same shocked face that he wore when she first introduced her herself.
Why the new girl?
She saw him observing the new girl, glancing at her at times.
Hell, she was sure the new girl must know Kamijou.
Her suspicions were confirmed when she saw the new girl and Kamijou walking together after school.
She wanted to follow them but she had already asked Madoka to go with her to the music CD shop.
What she didn't know was that it would change their lives forever.
Magical girls existed and were real.
Magic was real!
And apparently to get magic one had to form a contract with a rabbit creature called The Incubator.
It was really cute, and she was almost ready to make a contract then and there.
Because why not? She could be a Hero!
She could be like Emiya Shirou!
The Incubator said she could wish for anything, and maybe she could get Unlimited Blade works?
Or Excalibur?
When she heard about the Magic needing to recharge she thought she might be able to wish for magic circuits or something, that way she could recharge her magic without needing a grief seed or whatever those things were called.
But the way Kyouske reacted to the Incubator was what stopped her. That and she watched enough anime to know that things can't be that good unless one trained under their own Power!
Like in Full metal alchemist! Everything has a price!
Kyouske had always looked out for her ever since they became friends. She remembered the times when he would drop by her house to check up on her.
It was why the way he reacted to the incubator raised several flags in Sayaka's mind.
Kyouske was not one to start a fight. He was not aggressive unless provoked. And it took a lot to provoke him. So something about the incubator must have caused him to behave as he did.
It's what made her go back and think about what the incubator said.
They get a wish and become a Magical Girl?
That didn't sound like a contract. It sounded too good to be true.
Which meant there must be something in the contract that the incubator must be hiding.
Kind of like the Holy a grail!
Gasp! Maybe the wish is corrupted after being granted? Or maybe like a genie he'd grant the wording of the wish but not the spirit of it?
So many questions.
Hell, the contract didn't even have a written document!
She mentally imagined the Incubator being a Lawyer.
If he was hiding something she could definitely imagine him as a Lawyer.
They were sharks!
She let out a snort at the mental image.
Yep, definitely fits him... It... Whatever...
She hummed as she finished preparing a bento. A box for her, one for Madoka and one for Kyouske.
Oh, and some extra karaage. Kyouske liked eating meat.
Today was Picnic day! Kyousuke kun a had asked her and Madoka to discuss about some of the Magical stuff.
Maybe he finished building her Supersuit?!
Still, it's not fair how the Transfer student got a suit before her!
Gasp!
Was it her suit?
If that was her suit she was going to have a few words with him!
Packing the bentos in a picnic basket she locked her house behind her and began to walk towards Madoka's to pick her up!
She couldn't wait!
This was going to be fun!
It was a while since they had last gone on a picnic together!
