First choice is the power, second the person, third is the world you're in.
You were a simple person. One who had a long day, not the best of days. So you had gone to bed, happy to sleep it all off. Lately though your dreams were plagued with disturbing visions and tonight was no exception. For tonight you dreamed of...
[X] Death everywhere. The sick laying in gutters. The Undead prowling the streets looking for flesh to consume. Apes patrolling with guns to end those that held them captive. Disgusting little Worms crawling over the dead to eat, those same Worms inside others heads. Every disease imaginable was rampant. Some fought against one another, to prove which was better, others working alongside one another to consume the world. And you stood at the center of it all, watching as another world died off. A new record for killing it. On to the next one. - Plague Inc. revealed by The Magician
[] Hunger filled you. You sent another Puppet out to grab a meat-sack, the insignificant beings not knowing you were more important. Always running and screaming as you tried to feed, as they hung. Sometimes hanging beside the cows, wreckage or as one of your Puppets silently watched them bleed dry, when you would come down and feed upon them. So you could take shape, so you would live and eventually step foot on their planet and feed forever. An Entity, a God to the Cattle. - Dead By Daylight as revealed by Makuta
[] Chaos. Blood. Screams. Storms. War between Brothers. All was familiar and all was simple to you as you took up another battle-cry to kill the blind worshippers of the False God. Chainsaws revved, guns barked, artillery roared, airships screamed overhead, the ground shook with the boots of millions of warriors. Many would die. This would please them, you knew it. More blood was needed. More Storms. More Screams. You brought the chainsaw down on a former brother's neck. For Chaos. - Warhammer as revealed by Finagle007
The dream continued along those lines for a while before you woke up, again your body feeling different when you woke up. Always it felt like that it seemed, more… natural. Every night since you had those weird dreams you'd always felt more powerful. But you had more important things to pay attention to such as preparing for your daily routine. Out of bed and with a shower you headed to the front door, ready for...
[X] School. Elementary to be exact, with your friends. Your friends always tried to rhyme your name like, "Emily showed up finally." It was always funny to see what they could come up with, then after school you'd go with them to the park. Maybe Mr. Yamata would have his dog again and you could play with him.
[] Your police duties. It was a burden you were happy to shoulder, so everyone could live a happy life. Checking your side to make sure your handgun was secured you nodded, wondering as to where you'd patrol today. Hopefully not uptown again, those snobs were rascist as hell and your name of 'Tyrone' didn't help too much.
[] Scouting out houses. Not everybody deserved what they had and it was your job to 'liberate' some of the finer items from them. From the rich you'd 'liberate' some money and items. You would regularly give it out to some of the people that lived on the streets. But you kept the best stuff for yourself. Earning yourself the name of 'Robin'.
Click went the door behind you and you turned to make sure it was locked. Except it wasn't there. Blinking in surprise you took a step back, aware of the fact you were nowhere familiar. Closing your eyes for a minute and opening them back up didn't reveal the door. "Wha…" Were you still dreaming? Taking a better look around you wondered as to what you were dreaming about.
[X] A forest apparently, with a white moon shining bright overhead. A few crickets chirped. And you could see something that would have been unnerving before all the dreams you've had lately. Namely a lone man walking through the woods with a purpose. Dressed in what seemed to be a long red overcoat and red floppy hat, yellow glasses hiding the upper half of his face he cast a small glance your way. - Hellsing as revealed by Finagle007
[] This was a street. With the nearest car a good distance away you could slowly walk to the nearly empty sidewalk where nobody seemed to have taken notice of you. Curious as to what was going on you looked around for a few minutes, before seeing three stripes flash into existence above you. Green, Pink and Blue, horizontal and thick they touched down what looked like four blocks from you. - Powerpuff Girls (Original) as revealed by Cornix Argentus
[] Outside of a building that had the letters PRT inside of a shield logo standing proudly on the side. It was a fair sized steel and glass building, with a small trickle of people walking in and out the front. Nobody seemed to notice you walking in from existence. - Worm as revealed by Kingspace
I'll be combining elements of Original Hellsing and Ultimate.
Emily blinked as she looked at the weird man dressed in red, who had paused in his walking. She had no idea where she was nor what was going on and so she hugged her Powerpuff Girls lunchbox to her chest, watching the stranger as he turned towards her. An unearthly chill gripped her spine when he looked towards her and she swallowed, throat suddenly feeling dry. The toothy grin he flashed, fangs like that bad dog that belonged to Mr. Russel, not human. When he took a step forward, his read coat fluttering behind him, with an evil chuckle she took several back.
The first step she took he started laughing harder, a hand going into his coat to grab at something. Nope, nope this was a bad man, somebody she shouldn't be around. Turning tail she started to run, his cackling starting to echo all around her, becoming even louder when she tripped once and nearly fell face first to the ground, barely catching herself with one hand. Her heart thudded in her chest, as the cackling filled her ears.
The forest all around her wasn't familiar in the slightest, each tree that she ran past seeming the exact same as the one behind her. Each root she fell over only served to hurt her ankles more, each breeze serving to chill her more. None of this made sense, she was supposed to be going to school not running from some creepy guy. But she knew it was bad to be near someone like that, so she kept running.
On and on she went, lungs burning as she kept going faster than ever before. Legs screamed in their pain of being used so much as she kept going and going. Until she tripped one more time, finally falling and slamming her cheek into the ground, all the air knocked out of her. Eyes burning from unshed tears she hacked and coughed trying to get the air back into her lungs, everything seeming off now. The sky above was red out of the corner of her eye, the cackle which had grown distant didn't disappear and her body felt off once again. It felt like her skin was crawling, something just lurking under it and above it.
Pushing herself up as she started to get her breath back she paused for a moment to adjust her backpack, the books inside having been digging at her back for a long while now. Pushing upright she took a step forward and fell against a tree, the leg feeling so… wrong. Braced against it she took a few more breaths and moved on to find where she was, what was so wrong with everything. Stumbling forward for a few minutes, she looked all around for some semblance of a town in this nightmarish forest when a twig snapped. "Hey are you okay little girl?" Asked a concerned and light feminine voice behind her.
Pausing Emily turned to look at who it was, a blonde haired woman wearing a blue uniform, a little red and black shield over her heart. A blue shirt and skirt, with a gun holstered at her side. She looked like a policewoman. Somebody to trust, the woman's gentle smile helping that idea. Sniffling Emily shook her head. "N-no. There's a big scary man in red following me."
The lady looked around before walking towards her and kneeling down a few feet away. "Why don't you come with me so we can get you somewhere safe?" The lady held out a hand and Emily took it with a nod and small smile. The lady could protect her from the red man. When she took the lady's hand, the lady stood back up and started to lead her to somewhere better. Except once again her legs felt wrong and she fell, the nice lady managing to catch her before she fell.
Everything felt wrong now, the arms ignoring her even as the lady picked her up and held her against her chest. Emily tried to look up and say sorry to the nice lady, but she couldn't move her mouth, only catching sight of the blood-red eyes she had. Then her eyes were wrong too and she couldn't see. Then she stopped feeling and fell asleep.

This section here is to choose what Disease Types you have to start off with, but you will get all eventually. 10 Points to begin with. Name your setup as Plan (whatever) and get others to vote for your plan if you want it to be what you start out with.
Notes, you can select which diseases can affect you. Any foreign disease you are infected with, you can later replicate. If it is a disease type you didn't have prior, you can then use it. There are more disease types available than those just listed here.
Bacteria - Bacteria is known for its resiliency in any environment, be it inside a person or outside in the freezing air of Russia. Fully evolved Bacteria can survive any most any environment, despite whatever might be trying to kill it. 1 Point
Virus - Known for mutating it can go above your limits and beyond and become something world-threatening. But you can't control how it mutates, merely deal with the effects. At the height of it's ability the 'immune' are no longer immune to this mutating freak of nature. 1 Point
Fungus - Hard to infect with, but you can send spores to any part of the world to infect it. With enough skill and practice you can send a spore at a specific person from anywhere you want. 3 Points
Parasite - Never mutates, allowing perfect control of so you could use it for the most mundane of purposes. Such as making that one annoying person constantly have a headache forever, without fear of it mutating Meningitis. 2 Points
Prion - Extremely complex pathogen located inside the brain making it hard to locate and deal with. Fully evolved it's nigh impossible to remove even for the 'immune' beings. 2 Points
Nano-Virus - A microscopic machine that you can control and infect people with, a built-in control board meaning you're aware of where any Nano-Virus is. More evolved means you have a more accurate reading of where it and the person infected is. 3 Points
Bioweapon - A pathogen made specifically for killing. You need to be careful otherwise it will quickly outpace your plans. 4 Points
Neurax Worm - Mind-altering in every way it can re-write a person's personality, eat their brain if you wish or make them an adoring slave who believes you're a god. 5 Points
Necroa Virus - Zombies. From acid-spitting, to super-strength, faster speed, harder bones and even secondary brains in the lung you can make it all. They'll obey your words, even if they're not yours. Or even select a few things to upgrade yourself with, when you learn how to handle it. 4 Points
Simian Flu - Developed to cure Alzheimers it is instead able to make apes smarter than the average human if fully developed. Completely loyal to you, you could make an army if wanted. If you're careful you can make people smarter with one symptom, but you could also cause their brain to explode. 3 Points
Emily awoke in a bed that wasn't hers, covered with a silky white blanket and comfy pillow behind her head. Up above was a wooden roof and sitting up with a look around she saw the walls were wooden too unlike her own bedroom's white walls. Where was she? Another bad dream again?
Sitting upright and removing the mystery blanket she saw her clothes were still on from when she left for school. A yellow skirt and shirt both with flowers decorating it in spiral patterns, albeit her shoes were gone now. Moving to the edge of the bed she found her shoes neatly placed beside it, someone not wanting to have had her dirty the bed too much. A fancy and expensive dresser sat across from her, a small mirror sitting on top of it. Beside the dresser was the only other piece of furniture in the room, that being what looked like a bookshelf. Her eyes locked onto the plate sitting on the dresser.
A plate with a sandwich, bag of chips and a glass of juice beside it. Whoever brought her here gave her something to eat… maybe the police woman took her home? More looking around the room saw two doors, one on the opposite side of the room and one to her left, two windows on the right. Pausing first by the dresser to grab the sandwich, idly noting it to be PBJ, she walked over to the window and looked out. A massive front yard, with rows of shrubs going every which way, walkways between some of the rows leading to the front door on her left. Or she guessed it was the front door of the building she was in. It was a massive building as far as she could tell.
Biting into the sandwich she noticed something tingling. Tingling in the hand holding her sandwich to be exact. Not something weird, instead it felt rather familiar, just the fact it seemed to come out of the blue drew her attention to it. Inspecting the hand she found nothing different other than a small cut with some grime on it, so what just changed for it right now? Nothing came to mind for the epidermal layer of the skin, besides the cut, nor the layer beneath it.
Skeletal structure had no oddities in it, arteries were clear, tendons all through the knuckles down to the wrist. Nervous system was firing fine so what was it? Eh, something not important right now she guessed, taking another bite out of the sandwich. Or maybe it was.
Which was more important, figuring out what that was or figuring out whether she was in the nice police lady's house, she thought to herself with a sip from the glass.
[] Explore the giant house, which may be a mansion.
[] Focus on that tingling sensation, it could be something from a tick in that forest.
Well, it seems that my science guy has decided to quit helping me with this quest because he cannot accept the idea of Emily knowing medical terminology and it is bugging him so much he cannot focus on the quest. So if anybody would like to volunteer to be the person I bounce my ideas off of, or be a co-QM, do please PM me. I often times let my ideas get ahead of me and don't make much sense after a while.
Emily frowned as she swished around the juice in her mouth, flexing the hand. That type of thinking would get her killed, for example how many had thought to themselves that something was nothing, then paid the price for it? All of them did and she wasn't about to be as stupid as them. With a final sip she put the glass back down and decided to explore later and sat down upon the bed looking over her hand. Okay think hard about it, if nothing seemed off, then look harder at the one thing on it. A deep breath and she held up the offending hand up to her eye.
Well for one there was a break in the epidermal layer allowing for a decent amount of bacteria to infest her bloodstream. It wasn't even a mild bacterial strain, rather something pathetically simple. In fact the strains located in her lower intestine was more likely to be dangerous than the couple strains currently being subjugated in the cut. Said strains were a welcome addition though, her immune system quickly absorbing all needed information from them before eliminating them.
Maybe something wrong with the white blood cells, could have quite easily have had something impacted the amount. A moment to check over it all and the number that came back seemed like the normal amount. Her own viruses and bacteria were in check… wait what? She frowned and lowered her hand, that thought seeming… not wrong. But it wasn't right either. Since when did she have her own bacteria? Since when did she even know any of that?
It all sounded so familiar, something she knew like the back of her hand but… when did she learn any of that? Blinking she looked down at her hand, a bit of fear grabbing hold of her at the fact she knew all this stuff and no idea from where or when. It wasn't even words that came to mind and she didn't know, but the fact she knew what it all meant. Ligaments, bacteria was currently being subjugated in her bloodstream, how many white blood cells was currently flowing through her blood. It was as familiar to her as breathing. But since when?
Getting up once more to finish the drink she tried her best to figure out what it was that was so familiar now, because it wasn't. Yet it all was. So how was she supposed to figure out what the new, familiar, stuff was… maybe start with focusing on the parts she knew she didn't learn. Bacterial infections, parasites like ticks that she knew would carry diseases, her own body's information. Familiar and not at the same time. Just that thought alone was going to give her a headache.
First the bacteria. Three times the amount bacterial cells in her body than human cells. They lack a nucleus however they did contain a cell wall in most specimens. Some were beneficial to a human's body systems, evidenced by the various ones in her body currently, others not so much and quite dangerous to a human. However all living beings contained bacteria, such as the tick she feared of having earlier, a large assortment of deadly pathogens located in their mandibles or on them.
Ticks, parasites that lived off of hosts, often hurting, but not killing, them. All shapes and sizes from bugs, to worms that dug into a human's skin to even ones that would replace the tongue. Either stealing nutrients from the host or feeding from the bloodstream they could cause dangerous immune reactions along with whatever diseases it could carry. Although it was far from dangerous compared to the Necroa Virus.
...She never learned of that during school. She was pretty sure she'd remember about learning about a plague that could produce zombies. A virus that would specifically target the brain of a human and result, more oft than not, total brain death before shortly engaging in restoration and creation of complex neural structures, effectively leaving them in a state between death and life. They would still decay though if not evolved to withstand the natural environment of infected areas.
Neural structure enhancement and regeneration wasn't unique only to the Necroa Virus, for another type of 'Flu' came to mind that would do that. The Simian Flu, could result in enhancement for the neural pathways existing in a person's brain… sighing she leaned forward and rubbed her temples. It didn't make sense for her to know this, or any sense for why she wouldn't know this. But Simian Flu could help her think better by making the neural pathways more efficient if she only applied it…. What?
Frowning she slowly sat up. Where had that thought even come from? And the thought had been so sure of the fact she could do that too. A quiet knock on the door brought her out of her thoughts. "Uh come in!" She called out, happy for something to get her attention away from it.
The door creaked open and the police lady's head popped in with a small closed-lip smile. "Hey there." She stepped into the room and gently shut the door behind herself, still wearing the same uniform from before. "Are you doing okay now? Gave me a scare earlier when you passed out."
Emily nodded to the police lady, a small smile of her own coming to her face. She was safe here, mom always said the police were good people. "Sorry for making you carry me, Miss."
The lady sat down beside her. "Call me Seras, and it's alright. I don't mind carrying somebody if they collapsed, you were running really fast earlier." Seras said.
"Thank you, Miss Seras." Emily said with a quick hug of the lady, which she returned after a moment. Then Emily let go and asked, "Where am I Miss Seras? This doesn't look like a police station."
Seras laughed a little and scratched the side of her face, looking out to the window. "Well uh, this is where I live."
She cocked her head, looking closer at the uniform. "Mom always said that the police would take me back to their station if I'm lost."
Seras smiled and tapped the red shield on her uniform. "Well you can say that I'm a special police-woman, who hunts down special bad guys." She stood up and kneeled down in front of her so that she was lower than her. "My boss actually would like to talk to you, if you'd like. There were some very bad people around where I met you so we'd like to know what you saw of them." Emily nodded and Seras stood back up, holding her hand out again. "Come along then."
Taking Sera's hand she followed after her, out of the room and into the long fancy hallway with more doors and fancy paintings all along the walls. Past the two uniformed men outside her door. Green like army-men uniforms and holding those big looking guns like army-men. Why were the army-men at Sera's house? There were so many questions that she could ask Seras right now, or she could focus on the fact she knew that she could 'apply' the Simian Flu to herself. Looking away from the army-men and back at Seras, the lady smiled down at her once more.
[] Ask Seras a few questions. (Feel free to suggest a question for something.)
[] Figure out what you mean by apply it. (To apply it, you must suggest a few ways for it to work. If it sounds like it would work to me, Emily will successfully apply it.)
Okay so it seems I was stupid and forgot to add a reserved post or two and adding Emily's background information to the bottom of the first post seemed to be cluttered to me. So anybody new to this quest that had jumped down to here, please pardon my stupidity.
