The New Subforum Changes Are Very Good And I Like Them

I've updated my journal.

Pronouns
He/Him
Title. They're specialized in such a way that allows for folks to show up for what they want when they want to. Hopefully, the increase in number of clicks/loading to get to a thread in different subforums will give folks time to leave their baggage at the door if they come from a contentious or heavy thread.

I have no idea what's happening -because I don't bother checking first page unless I feel like checking CA (which understandbly, is not that often). I usually just check alert or news feed.

EDIT: was going to say there's no announcement, but turn out I just missed before seeing this and the other thread.

I, for one, welcome a board partly dedicated to the humanities.

Maybe one day I'll finally be able to reveal my deep and abiding love for Jane Austen and overwrought gothic novels to the board

While I have no issue with the overall change, I'm a bit confused as to what belongs where.

Philosophy of science, for example, should it go in Science & Technology or Military & Humanities?

What about work in the social sciences? Should a study in economics be posted in News and Politics, because economics tends to attract political attention; or Science and Technology, given that it's an academic study in the sciences?

Perhaps more commonly take, say, a thread about Marxism. It is, pretty intrinsically, political but it's also a discussion of one of the most prominent philosophers of the past few hundred years. E.g., the Left Reading group thread is currently in N&P, but it seems arguable that a thread specifically about reading philosophical works is perhaps better suited to the humanities subforum?

Military and Humanities seems to be almost entirely military and alt-history stuff at present as well.
