So, I had a thread for my web-serial The New Humans (which is skillfully edited by Avian Overlord ) over in User Fiction, but since I got my own website and stopped posting the chapters directly to the forum, I thought it might be appropriate to start a general thread here, for any SV users who might be following the story.
The New Humans is a period piece set in Australia during the year 1965, in a world where superpowers have existed more or less forever, but became the subject of a great hysteria after a powerful new superhero called the Flying Man disarmed the world's entire stock of nuclear weapons during the Cuban Crises. The story focuses on the trials and joys of a group of young superhuman children in an experimental school/care home for their kind in the depths of rural Western Australia... with the occasional tangent. The tone is less action-adventure and more character drama, and as a general warning, child abuse of various shades does come up.
The first arc/book The Cold Peace is complete and currently being edited as a whole, while Titanomachy is in its early stages. You can find the first chapter here, and the latest here. Any comments or criticism welcome.
