OOC Intro: Hello everyone , this quest is set up is a quasi-Inca culture setting , but most of it is basic stuff , so I hope it's not a problem. First of all , I want this to game start from childhood and then develop , the childhood period will be quite fast and then we can get on the important stuff like invading other people's lands , second the region we are on Ayari has suffered quite a lot of natural disasters in the past and so it is still healing from those wounds , finally , the game will have several stats both for the character and the nation itself , for the character I will apply traits and dice rolls that will be affected the stats of the character , the nation will work on a similar basis but on a larger scale.
Intro:
Year 2653 After the Rise of the Sun
It has been a long time since the kingdoms of Ayari went to war searching for glory and treasure , previous kings and generals satisfied their ambitions by taking what was not theirs . The commoner had little say on the matter and be drafted into the army for short but hard periods of time , you were lucky if your local Curaca wasn't selected to send males from their ayllu and even then , you would have to work harder as the king raised taxes in order to keep his war campaigns. Indeed those were troublesome times , nevertheless , great leaders arose and prosperity could be ensured if you had the right leader with the right skills , advancements were made and encouraged by the rulers as to give their kingdoms an edge over the others .The history of said period is recorded and sometimes transformed into stories to make the kings look greater than they really were.
Those times were over when not one but several natural disasters took the life of thousands over the course of a few years , first a large flood , then constant earthquakes , harsh winters and the blight , all of which together made the perfect combination for taking down civilizations over a thousand years old . Since then the region of Ayari has never been the same , the once proud kingdoms no longer exist and instead there small city-states , some tribes with people of white skin and an isolated empire to the east that doesn't bother with affairs of the now poor inhabitants of the region. What you don't know is that you know so little about the world and extreme changes may occur if the right conditions appear.
You are the prince of one those city states , your people look upon you with expectations , expectations and hope that you can change the current situation of your small state and bring change to the static lands of Ayari.
But who are you ?

Dynasty:
Let's start with your dynasty. This is rather important in the eyes of the high nobility of Ayari the only ones that have the privilege to learn about the past and gain knowledge beyond the typical oral stories that your handmaiden can tell you. However , as important as it can be for them the truth is that the dynasties no longer exist as such , with the members so spread out and the traditions so slim , some kings and families just claim to be part of a certain dynasty and make up the necessary documents to prove it , only some are truly part of a certain dynasty but that would require the right family and right.
[X] Commoner (Write In Name) , Many in the high aristocracy of the neighboring city-states calls shame on you and your family , they spread rumours and make statements against you calling you an ignorant of the Ayari tradition and illegitimate rulers of your kingdom, most of the high nobility in your city-state have gone for good , however , the vacuum of power have led to other people to rise through ranks of the kingdom's court , both in power and wealth.
[X] Sapari , The Sapari dynasty was founded by Imchu Tari , the king of the largest kingdom of all Ayari previous to the great catastrophe , to achieve his ambitions he relied on the might of the spears and bows of his soldiers , along with a very strict self-discipline and long hours of warfare study , many consider it the most prestigious dynasty of them all , especially the few warriors orders that still prevail in the Ayari region.
[X] Yumarak , The nation of the wisest was the realm of the Yumarak , founded by Yumar Hari , the descendants of Yumar Hari procured that most of the knowledge kept preserved even after the great catastrophe , previous to it the Yumarak were known to be great philosophers and seekers of knowledge , some of them even travelled very far away from the Ayari mountains , finding many strange and peculiar things , however , in this troubled times few can find power in knowledge and the Yumarak are a shadow of what they were in the past.
[X] Pisuc , the Pisuc dynasty was a rather small one but very prominent in the center of Ayari , the founder Jaika Maru was a brilliant architect and engineer , he founded the city of Limaruq , the largest city and one of the few that still exist after the catastrophe , the city was designed by Jaika and it was built high in the mountains , with many aqueducts , canals , walls and roads , it was so perfectly built that many foreigners that came to the land were so impressed that they often stayed having families and living like any other Ayari , for that the members of the Pisuc dynasty are known to be good in architecture and administration.
[X] Write your own dynasty
Father
Now , we should talk about your father , the one that made you prince of the kingdom , in the Ayari customs it is normal for a king to select his own heir rather than the first son becoming the heir , this will be important to you since a cruel father or a nice one will give you different opportunities to become heir of the kingdom.
[X] The Strict Prince
Your father was first a prince just like you , his father was a strict one and gave little liberty to him & his brothers , he put a heavy pressure on them all , he wanted them to be the best at fights , the best scholars , the best diplomats and the best leaders , your father & brothers had to won every little mention of them by their father with blood and sweet , ultimately either because your father liked him more or because he showed a lot of dedication he became heir to the kingdom . Your father thinking that he achieved the grandest honor of being selected by his father as heir , did not move one finger to expand the kingdom instead turning inwards , that's the reason why your father is so proud of himself and why he pretends to use his father methods on their sons.
[X] The Bastard and the mysterious master
Your father was the bastard of the realm , not legitimized and left to his own devices most of the time , her mother a simple concubine had little to say about his future and he went through many hardships during his life , almost always learning things the hard way , until he found a master to follow , his master was one of the elders of a secluded order that were from the far west , he taught him many things and took him under his wing , he took him in many travels through the known world and when he returned he did it with grandeur , as the day after his arrival he appeared before the gates of the city with a big army of mercenaries , with skin colors and languages that were so different from the typicals of Ayari , that many thought they were from another world . The king and the princes did little to prevent their fate as they were crawling in their rooms as fear took their reasoning away. The army with none to lead them did nothing and a week after his arrival your father took the throne and executed his previous "family" with only her mother remaining . Afterward , the mercenary army left the city with only a few staying with your father , his reign is a stable one and not many incidents have happened since then , one notable thing is that he never spoke again of his master to anyone.
[X] The Scholar of Revenge
Your father belonged the low nobility of your kingdom , poor and very limited , his parents worked really hard so he could study along with the others in the kingdom's palace , that's where your father learned that he excelled in fields that required heavy brainwork , he even impressed some nobles and the king with his knowledge , because of that he got the position of personal writer of the court often staying until late in order to get the most of the work done , his parents were rewarded thanks to his efforts and got a more comfortable live , this situation lasted until both of his parents were assassinated because of some minor dispute over the ownership of a small piece of land , your father furious at this planned his vengeance and investigated everything he could until he found out that the king was also involved and that his arbitrary decision led to the death of his parents , for over 10 years your father planned and sought allies to his complot could be fulfilled . A silent night under a full moon , the blood of the king and many nobles could be found everywhere through the palace . Lastly , your father then took the role of dictator of the kingdom , his rule is and was absolute , his resentment shaped this stage of his life and he uses his sharp mind to eliminate every political threat to him.
[X] From the Bottom to the Top
Your father was a none , but a kind one , he lived peacefully in his Ayllu and obeying the dispositions of his Curaca since he was young , both of his parents were simply farmers and got nothing more to ask for , as his Ayllu was quite rich in terms of lands and animals , some of the nobility saw them with envy as they could not accept that a simple community of commoners could be richer than they were , they plotted against the Ayllu calling on the king to take action , the action at first refused but the sheer pressure of the nobles was too much and he finally conceded , rumours about this reached your father's Ayllu and also many others , they were furious at the nobles and the king , they rebelled and refused to give up their lands , arming themselves with they had , other Ayllus were called into the rebellion and so they did as they owed many favours to your father's Ayllu , since they always helped them when they were in need , at first the nobles massacred the peasants , but when food stopped arriving the capital many started to worry , your father after the curaca of his ayllu was killed , became the leader of the rebellion and with many sacrifices , he was able to take on the capital and win , however , the Ayllus didn't know what to do next , so they decided to restore the previous order and let your father become king , either because of blood or his leadership , since then your father has procured that nothing like that happens ever again , limiting the power of the nobility and himself , taking care of his people like a benevolent ruler.
Mother
[X] The Beautiful Concubine
Your mother is a concubine , the first one to be exact as the men of Ayari can only take up to two concubines , she was raised as a commoner and when you father inspected his lands he found her , as she was as beautiful as the moon and brighter than the sun , your father instantly fell in love with her , the only problem was that he did not marry her , instead only taking her as a concubine , either because he was already married or simply didn't want to risk the loss of prestige from marrying a low-born. Either way , thanks to the influence of your mother you are one of the princes of the kingdom and you & mother have been well treated in the palace by your father often having the same rights as his wife and sons , the only problem is that there is tension between your mother and your father's wife.
[X] The Foreign Mademoiselle
Your mother comes from far away lands, from the west to be exact , where many things are unknown for the Ayari people other than there is a large empire even grander than the one to the East , one that has lasted for thousands of years or so the travelers say , it is unknown how your mother got to meet your father or how she arrived at this forgotten lands . In the court , she is known to be quite elusive of the locals and pass most of the time with foreigners and her husband & sons .
[X] The Yearning Lady
Your mother was the next door princess , married because of politics , not , because of love , something that is seen with quite a lot of frequency in Ayari , as your mother comes a neighboring kingdom , the relationships between your realm and their's have maintained quite high over the years , with peace reigning the border between the two . Your mother often only attends official meetings and goes on long visits to her homeland , many can say that her relationship with your father is not really good even if it benefits the kingdom.
[X] The Mistress of the Court
Your mother was from the high nobility of the kingdom , with a great standing and charm , many expected her to become queen and so it happened , her influence in the court is great and indeed he uses to it often make things happen her way , often crashing with his husband plans , many think that this is what her family wanted since the start and the court often finds itself divided on what to do .
[X] The Happy Northerner
From the north tribes she comes , white as snow , your mother married to your father after a successful campaign against her tribe's rival , something that her tribe asked for and offered her for , for the tribals this means an alliance and they have helped your father when in trouble against others , she is not literate like many and knows few things , but she is happy with her current standing and life , for now.
Family
[X] Your family is a small one with only your parents and a couple more as your family , they may not be exactly great but they will care for you as your are one of the few that can keep the family name and history going on.
[X] Your family is indeed large but mostly of common origin , they see upon you with great expectation as you are born as something they didn't , they will surely try to help you but what can you expect from peasants.
[X] A few possessions here and there , your family is made of low nobles and small leader figures , nevertheless , the noble tradition is strong on your family as they have their rituals and customs that are recognized by the high nobility of the neighboring kingdoms. Finally , they want to shape you as such.

All rolls have been made and traits have been added , a few people from the court as well .
Turn 1 Childhood
The day you were born your father and mother celebrated as your birth was preceded by a quite large and unusual sun in the skies , the event was interpreted by the local priest and the high nobility as a sign that the birth was blessed by the Inti himself , something rather rare on these days . For your father this meant the final victory as the bastard of the realm, since now he had an heir , someone that would continue his legacy after dead and would honour him since such was the tradition of the Ayari people , lastly he had to be recognized as the sole claimant to his kingdom , this last part meant that the previous kings and members of the high nobility that refused to acknowledge him as king because of his bastard origin had the obligation to refer to him as the king of Hayak and talk to him with respect.
While your father was celebrating with his friends and court , your mother was happy to give birth without trouble , you were in her care for over a week until a great feast organized by your father required that you and your mother were in public so that everyone could see that the kingdom now had an heir . Many were invited , but mostly family and local nobility , a couple of kings sent representatives and gifts , some foreign merchant gifted you a strange toy which had two heads , but you liked it anyways and finally a scholar representative from the part of the family that liked your father gifted you a golden amulet , they gifted it to you mostly because they heard your birth was blessed by the sun and thought this would be useful to both please your father and the gods.
For the Feast your father spent a lot of money (-50 from Treasure) , so much that even the commoners had an area dedicated for them where the were lots of food served by the palace merchants something pleased the local population . You would be very very grateful but you are only a newly born baby so......
Events:
The Bird in the Tower
When your friend told you to go with him , you didn't expect him to make you go to the highest tower of the entire palace , first because it was off limits for you , because it was dangerous and second because your friend wasn't really the kind of kid to go on a exploring spree rather preferring to be with his mom and tutors .
So this was pretty extraordinary for your shy friend . The "travel" to the war was the easy part the people of the palace were quite busy with their own things , so none asked questions and just continued their way. By the time you arrived at tower's stairs you noticed that it was midday an indicator for you that were going to be hungry in the next couple of hours even less taking into account that you were going to climb your fair share of stairs.
Even then your friend still pushed you up to reach the place he wanted you to go . When you were finally on the last floor of the tower your friend quickly pointed to the window where you found a small bird , with feathers of many colors , in your limited knowledge you had in your mind that the name of said bird started with "p" but nothing else reached your mind as your friend asked you if you could help him to take care of the bird as he didn't knew how to , neither did you , but you gave the following answer.
[X] Take care of the bird , your friend will help you .
[X] Take care of the bird but ask for help to an adult
[X] Leave the bird alone
The Foreign Maiden
As the son of the king you had many people taking care of you besides your mother and father whom also spent a fair amount of time with you when they could , but mostly it was your mother and her maiden , what you could notice from her was that she had the same accent as your mother and similar looks , but most importantly was that she treated you with more kindness that most of your father's servants .
She often told you stories about her homeland , most of them involved emperors and the gods , sometimes she spoke to you about her family , which was quite small but that had great bonds with each other , she told you about her two brothers and sister , something you noticed was that every time after she talked about her family you weren't able to find her even if you tried your best .
One time she spoke to you in Leinth her native language and the language of your mother , you knew a few words that your mother had taught you and tried to respond , but did quite bad and the maiden just laughed , so she took on the task on teaching you her language in small lessons just before you went to sleep . When your mother got aware of this , simply said to your maiden to stop teaching you , her reasons a mistery. Nevertheless , you had grown to like to her language that was both soft and delicate , did you ask her to continue teaching you or you obeyed your mother?
[X] You surely wanted to learn such beautiful and foreign language , after all you are in the years when you can learn anything.
[X] Obeying your mother was more important that learning a language that you may never use in the future
The Tutors for You
As you grew up so did your duties , as your father desired for you a good education , something that he lacked in his childhood years because of his lowly status in the court , for that end he contacted scholars both from Ayari and foreign lands , your mother agreed to the first part but disagreed to the last one , either way , the tutors were selected , most of them were from Ayari while your sword master and your scholar-teacher were foreigners .
Your mother gave strict restrictions to your scholar-teacher to limit what did you learn about foreign lands , so when you asked him if he knew what kingdom your mother was from your teacher would simply change the topic to other more that in his own words was "far more interesting than anything you had heard before" .
But you had your likings either way , with which tutors you enjoyed the most of your early education , with the ones from Ayari or the foreigners?
[X] Your tutors from Ayari knew a lot of things for sure but the foreigners had that exotic taste that you liked more
[X] You obvious enjoyed the most with your local tutors who did not have a strange accent and spoke to you regularly.
