  • [X] Plan A Few Details
-[X] Ask for the visit requirement to be changed so that both you pledge to visit Dorne regularly and that Qoren will visit the other parts of the realm regularly with you.
--[X] It makes sense to broaden the focus from Sunspear to all of Dorne, since visiting other Dornish lords would help your standing and the process of unification. Likewise, Qoren should ensure that he is a known figure in the rest of the Seven Kingsdoms before the wedding to ease their concerns and grumbling. He is good at wining people over and should leverage that for the benefit of our union.
-[X] Ask to review the border adjustments. You want to make sure that no mistakes, like awarding land to House Peake, have snuck in.
[X] Plan A Few Other Details
-[X] Speak to Qoren About the Deal (This will involve Hidden Dice Rolls)
--[X] Try to establish an informal friendly understanding with Qoren that, additional to the visits mentioned in the contract, he will at least try to visit you in King's Landing now and then even before you claim the Iron Throne, that you will try to visit him in Sunspear now and then afterwards, and that the two of you may sometimes travel together to places not in the capitals, even if it is not officially spelled out in the contract and even if it's not every year in either case. As for the contract itself:
--[X] None of the following are deal-breakers; you are prepared to accept the contract as-is. None of this is worth a meaningful breach with your father, or with Qoren. But they are things you would like to see in the contract.
---[X] Make sure that there will be a proper festival celebrating the betrothal, additional to and independent of Daemon's triumphal return from the Stepstones campaign. A betrothal celebration would be customary, would be deserved, and would have the advantage of making sure that both Daemon can have his triumph unentangled from any ambiguity over whose celebration it is.
---[X] Try to make sure no land is given or returned to House Peake, as Unwin Peake has personally insulted and antagonized you quite recently. You would prefer that House Peake not benefit from your betrothal arrangements.
---[X] Ask for clarification of the status of Bloodstone. Should Daemon not wish to claim Bloodstone, the island will be held by the Iron Throne directly in case he changes his mind later. Should the royal funds for building a castle on Bloodstone be misappropriated for purposes not related to fortifying Bloodstone, the Throne will be entitled to expect that they be repaid.
[X] Accept them as is (This Will Put Rhaenyra in a Binding Betrothal)
[X] Plan Speak Softly And Carry A Big Grudge
-[X] Speak to Qoren About the Deal (This will involve Hidden Dice Rolls)

[X] Plan Just This One Detail
-[X] Speak to Qoren About the Deal (This will involve Hidden Dice Rolls)
--[X] Try to make sure no land is awarded to House Peake, as Unwin Peake has personally insulted and antagonized you quite recently.
[X] Reject Them (This Will Have Ramifications)
[x] Speak to Qoren About the Deal (This will involve Hidden Dice Rolls)
-[X] The timing of Dorne's swearing of fealty
--[X] An immediate oath of fealty upon marriage would offer Dorne more protection against Daemon's Bloodstone Kingdom than an alliance. In a fight between an allied Dorne and Bloodstone, the Iron Throne would be forced into an impossible choice between kin, to help one over the other, or to help neither. In a fight between a Dorne sworn to the Iron Throne, and a Bloodstone which is not, the Iron Throne's position would already be decided. Even should Bloodstone itself later swear fealty, the Iron Throne would be obliged to side against the aggressor in the name of the King's or Queen's Peace. Swearing fealty immediately might even deter such a war entirely.
    -[X] Marriage Deadline
--[X] (Optional) Argument: 18 months places it at high risk of taking place during winter. This could block significant portions of the kingdoms from being able to visit. 24 months is likely more secure
[x] Speak to Qoren About the Deal (This will involve Hidden Dice Rolls)
-[X] Daemon will swear loyalty to the Iron Throne and Rhaenyra's claim if he choose to rule Bloodstone.
--[X] Daemon hasn't directly swear loyalty to the Iron Throne and its heir. This is especially important as his direct reaction to our ascension as heir was occupying the Heir rightful seat of Dragonstone and stealing our brother intended dragon egg. The clear demonstration of loyalty for Iron Throne newest lord is important as all the older lords have already swear loyalty to Rhaenyra as the righftul hair.
