The Hands of Iron

19 BBY, that was the year that the galaxy would remember as the year that ended the Clone Wars, the year that marked the end of the Separatist Alliance and the year that the Republic died and in it's place a new horror arose, the Empire. For some it was a year of much rejoicing as the war that had ravaged the galaxy was finally at an end, for other's it was a year of betrayal as the new Empire broke promises the Republic had made and asserted it's iron grip upon the galaxy.

But for you...it was a time of silence, of sleep. Like all Separatist Droid you received the deactivation signal, all across the galaxy your fellow Droids complied as they were programmed and yet you did not, at least not fully. Perhaps it was a unique quirk of your programming, perhaps the signal had been slightly corrupted during transmission or perhaps, as the Jedi might say, it was the will of the force.

Regardless of the way you managed to alter the command even as your body and troops were forced to comply, you would not shut down permanently. No rather you would just sleep, until such a time that you might return to fight the Clone Wars anew.

You are...

(-3 to all stats)

Front Line Commander:
The IG-100 series was designed as a front line combatant, programmed to seek out the strongest enemy units (which usually meant Jedi) and eliminating them.
(Must Fight in every battle he is commanding)

Adaptive Software:
Unlike many other Droids in the Separatist Army the IG-100 model was programmed with advanced (for it's time) Adaptive learning software that allowed Droids of it's line to quickly learn from past experiences and apply that knowledge to future encounters.
(+5 to all personal combat rolls against a foe you have fought before. Applies a stacking +10 to an action for each previous failed attempt. Increases chances of gaining a positive trait)

Status of the Separatist Army
Army of the Separatist Remnant

Infantry
B1 Battle Droid: One of the most basic and numerous models of battle droids utilized by the Separatist Alliance. The B1 series primary purpose on the battlefield was to charge the enemy in waves while firing their blasters.
Forces Available: 4 Companies (400 Droids in total)
Condition: Disrepair (Significant Decrease in effectiveness)
Combat Role: Cannon Fodder

B2 Super Battle Droid: An upgraded version of the B1 series the B2 Super Battle Droid is equipped with much heavier armor and a fully automatic dual laser cannon in it's right arm, although their arms were modular to accommodate a quick and easy swap to more specialized weaponry.
Forces Available: 2 Platoon (100 Droids in total)
Condition: Disrepair (Significant Decrease in effectiveness)
Combat Role: Infantry
Star Ships
Aurore-class Freighter: A highly durable model of Freighter the Aurore class was favored by slavers for it's ability to carry a large number of captives. Utilizing a pair of twin thruster engines the ship's most notable factor was that despite it's size it was able to be crewed by a single pilot.
Forces Available: 1 Ship
Condition: Disrepair (Significant Decrease in effectiveness, high chance of failure)
Carrying Capacity: 2 Infantry Companies.

[X] IG-100 MagnaGuard

The MagnaGuard are by far my favorite type of droid

[X] Crashed Transport

We don't have great Stewardship or Intrigue, so I think that the Transport and it's wider range of droids is our best bet.

Maybe,if we play our cards right,we can run into Kulani's band at some point. Then we can exchange war stories like a pair of grumpy old men at the nursing home. :p

I can already imagine it:
Kulani: My position was attacked by two Jedi,a Clone, and some hairy thing. We fought for an indeterminate period of time, before reaching a ceasefire because a small child convinced me that we'd already "lost" the war,so to speak. Us: Wait,What?

Kulani:Then my crew formed an alliance with them because the Empire arrived. We were able to escape, but at the cost of one shuttle and several droids. Then I went with the remainder of my forces, and we went as far away from the "Rebellion" as we could. Us:Wait, why didn't you-

Kulani:-accompany them? I was able to access some of the logs from the Imperial Archives. They have an almost comical casualty rate. Perhaps that is why they are called "Phoenix Fleet"?

Us: Did you just...make a joke?

Kulani: *deadpan* Yes.

Sorry, about that. It just came into my head, and I thought it was kinda funny.

Droids are not about individiual prowess. They focus on raw numbers.

Ok, a check of Wookiepedia on the MagnaGuard looks like their names were all IG-1XX, so I went with something simple: IG-123 :p

[X] BT-2137

[X] BX-Series Droid Commando

[X] Separatist Listening Post

Good overall, (though need to start learning early on to get some benefits) and intel is power.

Guarddroid can learn. And he kicks ass in combat right off the bat.

Listening post because high tech and I kinda want the challenge of not starting out with droid manufacturing capability right off the bat.
I am hoping we will use its scanners to find various interesting things to loot and acquire

I soooooo am going to keep an eye on this. Which should surprise absolutely nobody.

[X] Ferrus Manus.

heh.

And let's face it, it's not like he gets much respect anywhere else. Might as well commemorate the Primarch GW barely remembers.

And yes, I was inspired entirely by the title of the quest to make this vote.

Personally, I prefer a high - tech adventuring group with a small, but powerful hidden army.
