In this scenario four Pride Packs of the Grik Grand Swarm (as of Crusade) have been transported into Planetos. Two of them are deposited near the stepstones, two of them are deposited on the northern coast of slaver's bay.
Each Pride Pack is composed of forty ships "Indiamen", copies of late 16th century ships such as this one...
...but painted red and without cannons. Instead they have a number of catapults which fire incendiary bombs full of flammable liquid (for sake of argument lets say this is petroleum) the size of a medicine ball several hundred meters, mainly these are used to set alight enemy ships but they will also use these as siege weapons. Each of those ships carries 400 Grik warriors...
...clad in leather armor and armed with uniforms and armed with crossbows, curved swords, spears, axes, daggers, shields as well as their teeth and talons. Grik are fast, aggressive and highly predatory. Most of them are fairly young Uul, capable tool users able to understand basic speech though of marginal intelligence. They are very aggressive but are naturally subordinated to the Hij, older grik who have undergone a mental change and as such have developed full sapience. Hij are the skilled artisans, administrators, scribes and officers of the Grik. Each ship has twenty Hij, each of which has an Uul female. Grik females lay eggs and lots of them. In battle Hij have better metallic armor (mail and helmets). They are very good at replicating things.
