For the first time in a long time you had managed to sleep peacefully after a rather exhausting day, it was so peaceful and quiet, far away from all the problems that life constantly threw at you, that it was truly annoying the fact that your pleasant sleep was interrupted when the roar of a lightning bolt ended up waking you up, without any prior warning. Although it didn't really surprise you… lately, nothing seems to remain peaceful for long for you.
At first you tried to ignore it as you settled down to go back to sleep. But every time you tried to do so, another deafening bolt of lightning would rudely wake you up, so after several unsuccessful attempts, you decided to give up as it was clear that the lightning wasn't going to let you go back to sleep.
As you opened your eyes you expected to be blinded by the sunlight, but to your surprise, the first thing you could notice was that it was apparently nighttime, as it was so dark that you could barely see your own hands in front of you. Which was strange, you were pretty sure that the sun was still up when you went to sleep, in fact, you could swear that it had only been a few minutes since the clock struck noon.
What happened?
You remember getting on a bus to go to your older sister's house after a particularly hectic day, and since you were a little tired from staying up late the day before, you decided to take a little nap to regain some energy. But you didn't expect to wake up in a situation like this, so strangely confusing that you can't even understand how you ended up in it in the first place.
Were you sleeping for so long that it got dark? Shouldn't the driver have woken you up when he got to the last stop?
Your thoughts were interrupted by another loud bang, which was followed by an intense light that only lasted a moment, before darkness took over again. The outside was being hit by a storm, which seemed strange to you, as you remember seeing the weather forecast this morning, and at no point had there been any mention of the possibility of rain.
Strange… the weather forecast is often wrong but not by that much.
You lean against the window beside you and try to look at what's on the other side, but you sigh as you realice that all you can see are the occasional drops of water hitting the glass. What lies beyond is completely hidden deep within the darkness; there weren't even any artificial lights from houses or buildings, much less the light from the streetlights that would normally be illuminating the city. The only thing you can think of is that there might have been a blackout in the city, but it's still strange…
It's not like you care to have it anyway. You roughly remember where the last stop of the bus you got on was, so you could call someone to come pick you up. The last thing you want is to be stuck on a bus all night, and in a storm at that, though you suppose it's partly your own fault, as always, for thinking it would be a good idea to get some sleep.
[ ]Call your sister to come pick you up
[ ]Go around the bus to see if anyone else also fell asleep, like you
[ ]Get off the bus to find out what part of the city you are in, as you are not entirely sure.
