Dread it, run from it, but death comes for us all someday. After a car crash where I ended up dead, somehow, I've been dropped into the body of the Head Communications Officer of the Decepticons, Soundwave.

With a mind filled with both events from the show and memories from the war, what's a human turned cassette master to do?

Definitely not blindly follow Megatron straight into the shadowzone that's for sure. I think the autobots deserve a bit of an informational advantage, they don't call me the 'Spymaster' for nothing after all.

Eventual AU with a Soundwave SI that really doesn't want to end up stuck in the Shadowzone.

This is a crosspost from my account on Spacebattles.
Prologue: Reincarnations and Explanations
AN: As stated in the description, this is a crosspost from the same story on my other account on Spacebattles.

"The Energon. It is worthless to me now." Starscream monologued.

I watched from the head console beside him on the Nemesis' bridge as a blown up and beaten down Cliffjumper was brought in before 'Lord' Starscream, as he insisted the vehicons call him.

'As if that high-heeled narcissist needed THAT much more of an ego boost.' I once heard Laserbeak say through our bond.

"Scream, it's been a while" cough "Where's your master?" the red mech quipped while coughing up what little Energon he had left.

"Never mind him! I am my own master." Starscream said as he readied his claws to skewer Cliffjumper like I had seen so many times before.

'Now to change things up a little' I thought.

My large servo grabbed Starscreams before he could thrust it into Cliffjumpers chest. The silver mech letting out a squawk of surprise as I wrenched his hand down.

"What do you want, can't you see I'm about to snuff an Autobot for the first time in stellar cycles!" he screeched as Cliffjumper stared at me with wide optics, having just taken notice of just who the Dreadwing sized con next to Starscream actually was. A ghost from the War for Cybertron.

I said nothing, staring at him before piecing together some recordings.

"Useful-as-prisoner. The Autobot base-location be confirmed." Came my modulated response. Cycling through troop recordings and the words of Megatron and him. We stared at each other, Starscream becoming more unsettled the longer he looked at my red tinted visor.

"Hmmm, y-yes Soundwave, I do believe he can be useful to us." Starscream eventually conceded before looking at the guards, "Take him to the brig, and have only his major wounds repaired, we don't want an Autobot running around our ship, do we?"

The guards hauled the red muscle car off to be tended to as I walked to the communications console to do my job and monitor the internet for the explosion that no doubt at least some humans saw.

My job? 'The eyes and ears of the Decepticons' as Starscream had so eloquently put it in the past/future.

'One event changed, 3 seasons and a movie to go.'

'Careful boss, don't get a Starscream sized ego along with your foreknowledge.' A slightly Australian voice came through my mental bond.

I glanced down at my chest where the owner of the voice sat in alt mode in my symbiot hold.

'Shut up Rumble.' I replied.

Yep, that's right. I'm the 'con without a face' even though I actually do have one under the visor. I'm fragging SOUNDWAVE.

...Lemme backtrack a bit and explain how this happened.

About 3 years ago, give or take a few months, I was driving home from work when I was T-boned by an out of control 18-wheeler. It killed me, obviously. However, while waiting in a black void for what felt like hours, a dull light enveloped my body. A mirror image formed in front of me, showing as my body morphed and became slender and metallic. My arms becoming long and thin, as my knees became double-jointed. A visor then attached to my face as my plating became a pale dark blue with purple bio-lights.

"Why do I look like Soundwave from Transformers Prime?" I wondered aloud. Then the light obscured my vision until I saw-

[Recharge Cycle Complete]

Opening my eyes (optics?), I found myself in an industrial looking bedroom. I was laying on a metal slab that was surprisingly comfortable. The walls were dark gray, and a light purple ambient light was at the top center of the ceiling. Looking around I saw a table with a lot of tools, components and-

...Holy crap is that Ravage and Rumble lying on it?!

Getting up and lightly stumbling over to the table, (damn Soundwave and his double-jointed knees!) I saw myself in a mirror and... Yep, that's Soundwave looking back at me, surprisingly I'm not wearing the trademark visor this version uses, he must not recharge with it on his face. Like cybertronian glasses, I guess. Two light purple optics and a plain gray faceplate look back at me. I wondered where the visor was when it closed over my face in two halves from the sides of my head (Helm?).

Looking back over at the table, it was covered in cybertronian sized power and hand tools that Soundwave must have been using to fix up Rumble and Ravage before I took over his body. Makes sense that Soundwave was fixing them up himself. I can't blame him if Knockout is the only medic that the Decepticons have around. I sat down on a chair and started absentmindedly repairing a bit of Rumbles damaged leg, slowly acclimating to being a massive living war machine, until I heard a I heard a metallic yawn followed light slightly upper-class feminine British voice in my head.

'Did you have a good recharge sir? OH, are you finally getting around to fixing my siblings!? I never thought I'd miss Rumbles constant chattering.'

Remembering that Soundwave has symbiots I responded to who I assumed to be Laserbeak.

"I have missed it as well Laserbeak." I replied.

Huh, I sound like Soundwave from the Revenge of the Fallen game I used to play. I thought his voice was just slightly modulated and gravely in this universe. A Squawk came from my chest as Laserbeak disconnected and settled on the table before looking at me.

'Sir! I haven't heard you speak since you swore your oath! You must be getting senile in your old age.' Smugness radiated from her side of the bond, before she let out another squawk and jumped back a bit after I took a halfhearted swipe at her. I'm not that old. Looking back at Rumble I kept working on him for the next 2 minutes and figuring out how to be a giant transforming alien robot until I got a comm from a vehicon.

"C-Commander Soundwave, you are needed on the bridge, the uh- the comms console is malfunctioning."

I sent an affirmative ping before standing up, Laserbeak flying up and attaching to my chest as my visor clicked over my faceplate, when it struck me just how nonchalant I was taking being reincarnated into something not human. Must be because humans and cybertronians are so similar, so with a mental "eh whateva" I returned to muteness and used the on-board map to walk to the bridge, while mentally conversing with Laserbeak. After questioning how I was going to have the other two symbiots attached to me, Laserbeak 'reminded' me about my old frame.

Turns out, in this body I can only have one symbiot, but I have my (Soundwaves?) and Laserbeaks older bodies in one of the "offscreen" medical bays that you never see in the show. Looking though the camera on the ceiling I saw that it looked like a cybertronian version of my (his?) body from the 2015 RID show, but in the Prime art style. Like a fusion between his Fall of Cybertron and RID 2015 versions, but damaged quite a bit, interesting. About halfway to the bridge I finally figured out how to call up my menu, instead of directly accessing whatever function I want.

...Jeez that's a lot of stuff.

Looking into the diagnostic software, it turns out that cybertronians can "see" pretty much everything inside themselves. Might as well see what the diagnostics have to say about me. Since I've basically fallen into this body with probably no prep time.

Alright seems like everything is in top shape aside from my lack of weapons, makes sense since I never really leave the... Wait. What! Is that seriously why Soundwave has the coolest voice in transformers, his voice box is damaged? Well, I'm not changing that, my voice is cooler the way it is. I thought I was just made that way though. Did I never look too closely at these things? Maybe I should contact Knockout to see if he knows how to do vocal repair work in case it gets worse- Wait... When did I start referring to myself as Soundwave?

...I think that my human and cybertronian minds have finally settled. Nice. I am Soundwave, have been and always will be. The human I once was, is dead, only his memories remain. Now let's see what my drives have on them... Sweet Primus this is a lot of stuff!

Reading through a bunch of the files on my drives I found one on how to change frames, how to care for symbiots, a formula for a cybertronian version of coffee, pretty much the entire Iacon database, huh. It looks like ol' Soundy had a ridiculously large amount of downloaded data on both this primary and secondary data drives, looks like Ratchet wasn't kidding when he said I wasn't a normal cybertronian. Filing away some of the more important data (that cybertronian coffee formula looks good) I looked through my menu again until I stopped at the tentacles. Glancing around and seeing no one else I activated them.

[Manipulator Tentacles Engaged]

With two clicks and a metallic slinking noise the tentacles deployed out. It felt... Weird but right to have them, like finding out you have another arm when you've lived your life with only one. Weird analogy but it works, probably. Deactivating them and watching them slink back into my body looked and felt a little strange but I'll just have to get used to it.

Finally arriving at the bridge, I walked up and looked at the two vehicons that were at the communications console. The console was powered off and there was a spilled cube of Energon on the keyboard. Which was sparking.

MY console, I should clarify.

I whirled around to look at them and they looked so terrified that one crashed and fell over. The one that didn't, grabbed his friend and hauled aft out of the bridge.

Laserbeak started laughing through our bond at that, while I shook my head, turned around and started cleaning off the keyboard. Glancing at my chronometer and seeing that it hasn't even been two hours since I was thrown into this universe, many thoughts were running through my mind. One of which being how I was going to get that bigger body online and around my protoform before the show starts. Because after the show begins and Megatron arrives I'll be hard pressed to get any work done at all, with Autobots running across the ship in the course of the three years the show takes place in.

'Why are vehicons so incompetent.' I thought exasperatingly as I finally got all the energon off the keyboard and attaching my tentacles to troubleshoot any problems it might have.

'I wonder the same thing every cycle sir.' Laserbeak commented.

This was going to be a long two and a half years. I hope I can get Rumble and Ravage online soon; I had missed Rumbles sarcastic quips and Ravages cat-like tendencies for a lot longer than I would ever admit.

Prologue 2: Alls Fair in Frames and Protoforms
'So, your mind has merged with that of a human whose memories show our entire lives plus lives of other versions of ourselves?' Laserbeak said, as I checked over the added exit points for my tentacles.

"That a very abridged version of it but yes, that sounds correct." I replied.

Laserbeak and I were working on the finishing touches on my larger frame, and I had told her a slightly modified story about Soundwaves mind and my mind merging into one being instead of me pretty much replacing him outright. I didn't want to worry her about me not fully being 'her' Soundwave. It's been about 6 months since I was inserted into Soundwaves body, and each day on the Nemesis was mostly the same. I get up, work on Rumble or Ravage for 30 minutes to an hour, then to the bridge for monitor duty for half the day. After that I head to the med bay to work on my new frame while Laserbeak works on hers till it's time for us to recharge.

Since I had creative control over my new body, I had elected to give my new frame Soundblasters color scheme since he didn't apparently exist in this universe at all, toys be damned, so lucky me, keeping the purple bio lights though, mostly because I have no idea how to change them. My larger frame is around the same size as Dreadwing, which means I can pack a lot more stuff in to make myself more combat capable.

Given my soon to be new size though, I don't think a predator drone or a large van or a flashy Mercades with gullwing doors is going to cut it. So, first thing I'm going to have to do is find a new alt mode and given the mass it's going to have to be a grounder. Maybe a small semi like something from that SnowRunner game I used to play. I had just finished refurbishing the shoulder gun when Knockout and Breakdown walk in.

Knockout is... How do I put this. You know that one really foreword guy/girl at a bar that has an unhealthy obsession with getting in your pants, Knockout is that, but throw in the narcissism and extreme vanity and you've got Knockout. I don't understand why he wants my aft. At. All. I have, however, started a friendship with them since they're the only qualified medics on the Nemesis. Which means we are on somewhat Friendly terms, plus they've been a bit nicer to me as well.

"Afternoon, tall dark and limber, what brings you into my med bay, a checkup perhaps?" He says in a sultry tone that I tried very hard not to hear. Even as a human I thought Knockout was attractive.

"Soundwave-requires-A stronger body."

"Ah I was wondering what you were doing with your old frame, are you going to change your minicon back as well?" I nodded. "Good to know. Breakdown, be a gentlemech and help Soundwave with his project while I do inventory."

"Yeah sure" Breakdown responds before coming over, picking up a buffer, and starting to buff the paint on the chest plate, while I worked on the servos.

With Breakdowns and later Knockouts help, after 6 months of constant after duty work. My new frame was finally finished.

"Such luster. Hard to believe it's the same body that you went through the whole war for cybertron with isn't it, Soundwave." Knockout said after we stepped back.

"I gotta ask, what's with the color scheme though, the pale blue not working out for ya?" Breakdown commented, putting away the tools.

"The-paintjob-is so-the humans do not know of our existence." I responded, before shooing them out of the room so I could put Laserbeak in her new body.

'I'm glad you want us to go back to our old bodies' sir, and I really like the new color scheme as well.' Laserbeak said after she and I had finished attaching her refurbished armor.

"I am glad you like it Laserbeak, I will miss flying with you though" I said, before starting to detach my armor.
Turns out protoforms are really malleable, otherwise I never would have fit in this small of a frame. Once I was out of it, I gained enough height to be perfectly sized to fit in the new frame.

30 minutes later I finished putting the shoulder pauldrons on. The new frame felt like sliding into bed after an exhausting day, and waking up energized the next morning.

'So how does the old frame feel sir?'

"It feels amazing. What about yours?"

'It's great sir! I have my Dual blasters back' I feel a spike of excitement and satisfaction from her. I then open up my Menu and run a diagnostic to see if my weapons are integrated properly.

My twin hand blasters are custom built by me, which is why they took 3 and a half out of the 6 months to make. They're essentially a miniature version of Shockwaves Astro-mag cannon. I unfortunately couldn't have even one fusion cannon like Megatron due to the large amount of power it uses. Id burn myself out if I were to integrate them. Its why you don't see them too often.

Megatron not only had his flight frame custom built by the best Decepticon engineers and scientists, but his tank form already had a lower powered version, which is why he is able to use it so effectively. Taking a few steps on my much heavier peds, it struck me just how cramped I really was in my small flyer frame.

'So... now what sir?'

"Now? We get your siblings back online. Laserbeak; Return."

The sheer amount of happiness radiating from the little femme at the prospect of regaining her siblings, is something I'll remember till the day I die... again.

Prologue 3: 2 new robokids and... 2 Alt modes?
You know how Soundwave has almost nothing known about him? Well, I found out something pretty cool about the body I now inhabit. Turns out I was created with an elliptical T-cog, which meant I had triple changing capabilities. Unfortunately, I never acted on them because Megatron said that I would be better off with a single mode when I was placed in the smaller frame, so guess who's a triple changer now?

Triple changers are a natural albeit rare occurrence from the Well of Allsparks. A bit more of Amalgamous Prime in them than other cybertronians, giving them what was called an elliptical T-cog, A segmented cog that spins in multiple directions instead of one. Which in turn gives them the ability to have multiple alt modes. Some cybertronians like Sixshot, are polychangers, but being more than a quadchanger is so rare that it is virtually impossible to happen, hence why Sixshot was such an interesting case.

Triple changers are mostly large framed, around my size or bigger, which means more space for weapons and armor. It is also why there are so few triple changers left, with Halftrack being the only one in recent memory, and he's been offline for over a century. Triple changers were such a hot target when spotted on the battlefield that they always had everyone gunning for them, either to take out a dangerous target, or to gloat about taking down a revered warrior.

But yep, that's right, I found another way to be superior. Shortly after finding out that bit of information, I bridged to a military base and scanned a new form, then to an antique truck show at night to scan another. I'm now a proud 'owner' of a black with red trim RQ-4b Global hawk and heavy duty 1978 International Loadstar with surveillance equipment attached to it.

I have to say, I think I made a good choice in both of my new modes. The Global Hawk keeps me in the air, while the loadstar is an unassuming vehicle that you would pass right by on the road and not glance twice at. Unless you were a truck guy, you wouldn't notice the surveillance equipment subtly attached to the truck.

Right now, Laserbeak and I are making the final round of maintenance on Ravage and Rumble, so that when I activate them, they won't be in lackluster condition.

"Laserbeak hand me that hydrospanner."

'Yes sir!' she happily chirped and flew over with it in her talons. Laserbeak has been radiating happiness ever since we got both her siblings above 85% repaired, and I've been doing the same since 95%. And now they're both complete, all that's left is to get them online, which is going to be a bit boring for me. Symbiots go through different phases of awareness as they come online, kind of like rapidly aging to adulthood. Thankfully the process doesn't take that long. About 10-20 minutes at most. At least I have Laserbeak with me to talk to till the others come fully online.

"Alright that's everything, let's get them online." I unravel my tentacles before connecting them to their chests to feed them information and energon. Giving them an awareness of what all has happened after they went offline. And there we sat, occasionally having small talk until what I heard what I can only describe as a smaller more refined version of Cylas coming online before Rumble and Ravages optics whirred to life.

"Ah jeez boss, you've really gotten us into it now." the slightly Australian voice of Rumble said as the purple mech in question stood up.

'Thank you for returning me to life creator, I cannot wait to engage in more sabotage, but I agree with the earthquake happy oaf. You have indeed gotten us into quite the predicament.' The voice of ravage sounded off with a Russian accent.

Why is the cat Russian- you know what I don't even want to know.

'BROTHERS!' Laserbeak screeched before enveloping them both in a bird hug.

"It is good to have you both back, I assume you received the data packets that I sent to you?" I said, detaching my tentacles and standing up.

"Yeah, boss I got it, and I think that I speak for all three of us when I say were loyal to you not the Decepticons. I can't believe ol' Megs has fallen so far. Its fragging tragic- OW! Dang it bird brain what was that for!"

'No swearing in my hug now hush, we will all have time to catch up.'

"
Laserbeak once again proves which symbiot is superior." I chuckle, sending amusement through our bond. Now would be a good time to mention that when I laugh it sounds like record static and reverb. Which is one thing I will never get used to.

'So, creator, if all of what this data packet is true, things will need to change, how will we go about that?'

"I honestly don't know Ravage; my main two objectives so far were to get my older frame active and get you two online. I believe the best course of action would be to stop Cliffjumpers death, after that... perhaps give the autobots an informational advantage with Unicron and the relic hunt, until we are in a position to join them. Now I know neither of you like dealing with medics very much, but I want to make sure that neither of you suffered any long-term damage from being offline for so long. Now, let's go see Knockout. Laserbeak, Rumble, Ravage; Return."

"Aw c'mon boss not that mech!"

'Anything but that buffer happy narcissist please!'

Operation: Observation
AN: Fun fact, Agent Fowler is voiced by Ernie Hudson, ya know, the ghostbuster?

Also, just to give you a good idea of what I made myself look like, Take Soundwave from the 2015 rid cartoon, make him the same size as Dreadwing, give him soundblasters color scheme but keep the purple bio lights and add folded up wings to my back larger than Dreadwings, but in Starscreams wing configuration, and the Cybertron show's chestplate.

Thank primus for cybertronian alloy (Cybernite maybe? Did they ever actually name the metal cybertronians are made of?) being able to mass shift, I don't know how I'd deal with wings the same size as Starscreams whole body.

After making sure that no humans are aware of a large blue explosion in Kansas, checking on my secret energon stores, and observing the social media profiles of 3 specific teens, I walked back over to Starscream.

"Soundwave, what is it?" he asks.

"Like Jasper, Nevada's a party? Were alone no matter where we travel on this rock Cliff." I responded.

"Ah the one called Arcee, why capture one Autobot, when we still have the advantage of surprise." He said before grinning evilly.

I nodded, pretending to agree with him. Then I walked up to the top deck where no one would notice. On the way there I informed my simbiots.

'Rumble, Ravage, your motorcycle alt modes are finally going to be put to use. You are both going down to Jasper, Nevada, observe the humans known as Jackson Darby, Miko Nakadai, and Rafael Esquivel. I already know where the Autobot base is, but nothing showed where they live.'

'On it boss.' 'Yes Creator.'

Reaching the top deck, I said the words that I will never get tired of saying.

"Rumble, Ravage; Eject. Operation: Observation."

With a metallic click my symbiot hold opened like a cassette player and they came out, transforming from cassettes to root mode then to two motorcycles. (How Arcee manages to get all 15 feet of her down into a damned motorcycle I will never know, it's got to be uncomfortable in there.)

"Be careful you two, the Autobots are in the area as well." I reminded them.

"Yeah, yeah boss I remember." Rumble said.

'I will ensure that he remembers not to engage them creator.' Ravage said. I opened a ground bridge and they drove through, activating their holoforms as they went.

'Now what sir?' Laserbeak asked.

'Now we wait for them to report back and for Megatron to send his message from deep space.' I replied.

Rumble had come to a decision, he hated sand.

He had been monitoring Raf, while Ravage monitored Miko and Jack, and he was currently hiding underneath a pile of sand covered junk in an overpass watching the boy drive around his RC car. He found where Raf lived a while ago and was now just waiting for the Autobots. Boss told him to observe them until the autobots expose themselves to them, then to send a comm to confirm that everything went to 'canon', as he called it. Rumble didn't question boss' orders, not since Frenzy...

All of a sudden, he saw Arcee of all bots speeding down the side of the bank, ramping off it then landing near the boy with the Darby kid on her alt mode. Looks like boss was right once again. Then two vehicons showed up, and got into a fight with Arcee. They were holding their own quite well, one even managed to get a good shot on the femme.

Bumblebee dropped out of the sky at that point, fighting the cons and accidentally crushing Raf's rc car. Swhame, that thing was the most entertaining thing Rumble had been watching till the fight started. Things pretty much went how boss said they would, Bee got hit, the humans showed that they are able to distract the vehicons, the boys escaped, Arcee and Bee got to their peds, ready to fight again, Bulkhead showed up and the vehicons retreated. Not bad for the first Autobot vs Decepticon fight in 3 and a half years.

With his mission complete and the Autobots driving away back to their base, Rumble climbed out of the junk pile, transformed and called boss for a Bridge.

Ravage decided that the Nakadai girl was a terrifying, if oddly athletic, adrenaline Junkie.

The girl was nearly impossible to keep up with even after he changed back to panther mode to sneak around better. She unintentionally led him on a wild chase as she ducked in alleys and up roofs yesterday while Rumble was relaxing in a junk pile watching the slagging autobots fight.

'Lazy deployer.' He had thought.

Thankfully she was sitting still right now, sketching Arcee. Bumblebee showed up and the Esquivel boy enters, leaving the Darby boy alone, who looks at Arcee who has turned slightly. The Darby boy then walked off, presumably still in shock from yesterdays events

'What did Creator say would happen after- OH PRIMUS WHERE DID SHE GO!'

Ravage rapidly looked around for the Nakadai girl, and caught a glimpse of her running after Arcee,

'How does she move so fast?'

Stealthily transforming to panther mode, Ravage took to the rooftops, and found her watching the Darby boy and Arcee talk. In what he decided was 'typical Miko fashion' she announces her presence to them, Arcee cursing after it happens.

'I feel your pain autobot, the Nakadai girl is definitely a handful, good luck keeping her in your sights.'

After they left, he jumped down from the roof, transforming into his motorcycle mode as he lands, and called for a bridge.

After 3 long years of dealing with Starscream and his high heels, I finally detected the message from Megatron.

So, after my minicons returned and with the message pinging on my visor, I walk onto the bridge where Starscream is. He was already not happy with the fact that Arcee escaped, but now he's going to go from angry to his usual muted rage in a matter of nanokliks.

"Those transmissions are emanating from deep space. I would hate to waste the energon, unless you are absolutely certain?" Starscream said, his wings showing irritation.

"Lord Megatron-returning-Is the best-course-of-action." I responded, cycling through some new recordings I had gotten of Knockout and Breakdown.

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy "talking" like that?

"Then lock on transmission coordinates and activate the space bridge." he growled.

I unfurled one of my tentacles and attached it to the console. Through my link to the warship, I could feel the calculations necessary to activate the bridge, all happening at once. I saw that the bridge responded and activated with a successful transmission. After about a minute, I hear the voice of Frank Welker come though the comms, with a distinct Kaonish-Iaconic accent.

Said accent is a bit thicker and different than what he sounds like in the show surprisingly. If you're wondering, it sounds like a combination of a low and high-class big city accent, with a hoarseness that only comes from being a former miner. It makes sense since Megatron went from miner to gladiator to civil rights activist to warlord in a relatively short amount of time.

"DECEPTICONS! I have returned."

'What a way to make an entrance my "lord", can't wait to see you inject yourself with Dark Energon.'

Starscream and I walked out to the top deck to greet our lord, while a couple of vehicons went down the service elevator with a suspiciously purple rock.

"Lord Megatron, it greatly relives me that you have returned to us. You must be exhausted after such a long journey, so Soundwave and I have brought out some high grade for us to celebrate your return."

'Jeez Starscream you'll dislodge a landing gear with all that groveling.' I thought.

"It is good to be back Starscream. Soundwave, you have returned to your old frame?" Megatron asked.

I nodded, not really wanting to 'speak' because sweet Primus seeing him in real life is so much more intimidating.

"Soundwave has also repaired Rumble and Ravage my lord, I felt that him returning to his old frame was the only logical conclusion once I was informed." Starscream said, coming to my defense for no doubt his own gain.

Megatron stared at me, and I swear he was able to look directly past my visor and into my optics for a few seconds before nodding and walking away, Starscream and I falling into one step behind and beside him. Walking through the Nemesis, we gave him a tour of the updates the ship has gone through, I was mostly just following, while Netflix was playing in my processor.

When the tour finally finished, Megatron asked(ordered) a tour of the largest of our energon mines. I already know what's coming, so I elected to stay on board the Nemesis, so I could keep my new frame away from autobot optics. So, I opened a Ground bridge for the mine, and they walked through.

After about 30 minutes Megatron commed for a bridge.

Once he walked out, he went straight to his Dark Energon deposit and just stared at it like it owed him Shanix. Starscream was right, Megatron really did come back with space madness. A bit later, Starscream sent a comm to Megatron about the autobots infiltrating the mine. Cue Megatron telling him to blow up our biggest damned mine on the planet.

...And now there's a massive blue explosion in Nebraska that I have to silence the media about because Megatrons flair for the dramatic is bigger than Starscreams ego.

A few minutes after all that, I watched from the cameras as Megatron shoved Unicron's blood into his spark chamber. I need to keep as far away from that stuff as physically possible, corruption via Robo-Satan is not on my to-do list.

Walking back to the bridge, I came across Starscream watching Megatron leave on the big screen, accidentally scaring him since I'm still extremely sneaky.

"Soundwave!... I fear that when our master reached for the stars, he came back with a touch of 'space madness'. Lord Megatron has not been of 'sound' judgement since his return. Increase global surveillance."

"Quit groveling! And await my command." I retorted.

"I'm not deaf! But if Optimus Prime lives, I believe that it is in Lord Megatron's best interest that we ensure his enemies destruction."

With a nod I "increase global surveillance", whatever he meant by that I do not know, but I'm probably already doing it.

After an hour of waiting around, listening in to military chatter, I finally intercepted agent Fowler's transmission. With that on my visor, I walked up to Starscream, who was standing at the main console.

"Sir? Agent Fowler, we have a situation. I'm in route from the Autobot base, ill brief you in person."

"Autobot base, eh? Humans, always the weak link. Fetch me this Fowler, so that he may brief us instead." Starscream ordered.

I nodded, before mentally speaking to Laserbeak.

'Try not to hurt him, Starscreams going to put him through the ringer when he gets here.'

With an affirmative ping. Laserbeak detached to catch Agent Fowler.

It's almost time to leave the Nemesis, but not without giving the autobots their first advantage, Cliffjumper, plus a few insignificant (to the Decepticons, at least) Energon mine locations. Another question popped into my head, and I began wondering why I wasn't on the ship in 'canon' when the Autobots were there.

Nemesis Brig

The room was too dark to see, and he was too weak to do anything. So, Cliffjumper hung there, suspended from his arms by chains. His internal chronometer told him it had been a few hours since Starscream had stopped 'interrogating' him. Suddenly, the door opened, and a large dark colored mech walked in, breaking up the solitude and monotony of the room.

"Who...?" Cliffjumper weakly asked.

The mech said nothing, instead opening a compartment on Cliffjumpers arm and dropping something into it.

"Heh, who knew you Cons were such sweethearts, giving me gifts and all." He said before lapsing back into unconsciousness.

The large mech took in his condition for a moment. Cliffjumper was still missing one of his horns, some of his injuries from the explosion were still slowly leaking, and one of his arms was definitely dislocated. There were new injuries from the interrogation there as well. His windshield was cracked and chipped with pieces missing. His paint was scratched, and a lot was gone, showing the gray metal beneath, one of his tires was scratched up and ruined as well, the steel belts frayed and sticking out at odd angles. The mech sent a silent intrusion into his comm before leaving the room, the door closing and leaving the room dark once again.

A Fowl Situation and a Warlords Theoretical Destruction
After about half an hour Laserbeak finally returned with a very pissed off looking Agent Fowler in her talons.

Huh, Fowler looks healthy in this universe, makes sense since he's a former army ranger turned government agent. I'm starting to notice quite a few differences between this world and the one I saw on tv, I wonder if Bumblebee still turns into an Urbana 500 or if he's a Camaro? Is Optimus a Peterbuilt? Both exist here. Do all the autobots turn into 'real' vehicles now? Knockout is an Aston Martin and Breakdown is a modified MRAP, Cliffjumper is a 70's dodge challenger, the vehicon grounders are corvette concepts, m1a2 Abrams, Apache helicopters, and Mitsubishi tanker trucks, and I'm a RQ-4 global hawk and an International Loadstar. I guess this world is a fusion of 'real life' vehicles and the 'fake' ones of this universe.

Then there's my simbiots, Ravage and Rumble look like their G1 counterparts but 'primified', but Ravage has twin blasters where his bayverse version does, and Rumbles piledrivers look like his FoC ones. Laserbeak in her old frame is ripped straight out of FoC and 'primeified', but with the small twin blasters like her G1 version.

As I watch Fowler be taken away by a vehicon escort, I'm drawn out of my thoughts by a comm from the overseer of mine XZ-18.

"C-o--ander Soun-wa-e, we ar- ha-ing communi--tion diff-culties, pl-ase adv-se."

"I will deal with-this-myself." I responded.

That must be why I wasn't present for the Autobots and humans storming the Nemesis in the show. I was off dealing with vehicon incompetence. So, with Laserbeak back in my symbiot hold, I opened a ground bridge to the mine, leaving Ravage and Rumble on the ship, after it closes all my links to the ship go silent.

"Commander Soundwave, thank Primus you're here!" The overseer said, falling into step beside me. Overseer vehicons are like command b1 battle droids from Star Wars, smarter than the average vehicon, so they mostly are kept back for more logistical duties. "One of the drill operators hit a vein on accident and it blew up the driller, some shrapnel got lodged in the communications dish. We tried to fix it as best we could but, you know how little technical knowledge we have."

We finally reached the communications array, and it looked awful. The TC4 communications array was essentially a box that came up to my waist, that flipped out and transformed into a computer, radio dish, camera system, and provided communications throughout the mine to get through mineral interference. A work of genius from Shockwave and maintained by yours truly. On the far side of the room, a burned-out husk of a driller sat smoking. The worker sitting on a rock by it being tended to by one of Knockouts apprentice vehicons. Looking back at the array, I unfurled my tentacles, pulled out some tools, and got to work.

'I wonder how far along the autobots are right now' I thought, applying sealant to a leaking fuel line.

'Probably halfway through the Nemesis is my guess.' Laserbeak responded, using her tentacles to repair some of the camera drones.

'Probably...'

Raf didn't think this situation could possibly get worse. They were on the bad guy's spaceship in the middle of a battle, lasers and bodies were going every way imaginable, at least the bots were keeping them safe while they fought. After Bulkhead shot one of the cons an explosion made him and probably Jack and Miko partially deaf, more cons from behind them started shooting at them, so Jack started pulling him and Miko to the wall. They regained their hearing as there were 3 cons left, when all of a sudden they heard a... Australian voice?

"Get ready to crumble, before Rumble!"

Raf saw a really small con, about 2 feet taller than Jack, jumping towards Bulkhead while his arms turned into blunt 4 pronged hammer looking things. With a Massive clang the small con -Rumble he thought he called himself- punched Bulkhead in the center of his chest, sending him flying into the wall, leaving a large dent in it.

"What the! How did Rumble get here!" Raf heard Bee say after he took down two of the cons.

"Heard the sounds of a good fight, thought I'd join, Bug!" Rumble said as he jumped on top of Arcees head before transforming into a motorcycle and drove off, laughing the whole way.

"W-What was that?" Raf asked.

"Bulkhead! Are you ok!?" Miko yelled, running over to the green bot.

*groan* "I'm okay Miko. Never thought I'd see that guy again." Bulkhead said as he got up.

"Who was that guy?" Jack asked.

"That was Rumble, one of Soundwaves deployers. He has a pair of piledrivers in his arms he used to cause chaos on the field during the war, along with Soundwaves other deployers, Laserbeak and Ravage." Arcee explained while rubbing the top of her head.

"I thought Rumble and Ravage were destroyed though?" Bee said, as they started moving again.

"Yeah, I thought they were scrap metal by now." Bulkhead said, slowing down to pick up Raf and the others.

"I guess Soundwave wanted to make our lives even harder just for fun." Arcee commented.

Raf knew one thing, that little con broke all laws of physics when it punched Bulkhead and he went flying.

Cliff wasn't sure how much time had passed since that large mech came in and put something in his arm, his chronometer was damaged from the latest 'interrogation' Starscream put him through. Some short amount of time ago, he managed to open his optics and saw Agent Fowler in chains. Starscream had been interrogating him about the base for a while, and Scream had already used the prod on him. He thought he heard blaster shots at one point but couldn't make it out if he actually did hear anything. What make Cliff look at the door was when someone started knocking. Starscream made an irritated noise and turned to the door, which opened revealing a trooper.

"Well?"

The trooper fell over dead revealing Bulkhead, who shot the trooper in the room before aiming at Starcream, Bumblebee rolling foreword with his blasters out. Starscream activated his blaster and pointed it at Fowler.

"Not so fast autobots." He said, activating his other blaster and pointing it at him, but Cliff saw a blaster barrel knock on his head.

"I wouldn't." Came the voice from his partner Arcee.

"Oh, but I might." Starscream said.

It was a tense standoff between the four of them. No one dared move an inch.

"Now, Agent Fowler and I will take our leave." He said. Agent Fowler, completely out of it, says some gibberish, distracting him, and all three of his comrades open fire. Starscream screeches, dodges some shots, transforms and flies out of the room in a panic.

"CLIFF!" Arcee yells, running over to him.

"Heh, Hey 'Cee, glad you could make it to our little party." Cliffjumper said.

"Bulkhead help me with this, Bumblebee you take Fowler." Arcee orders as she starts to break Cliffs chains.

A little bit later, riding on the back of Bulkhead, Cliff watches the Nemesis get smaller and smaller, and he can finally relax.

I watched from my post on the bridge as Starscream got thrown around by Megatron, who was berating him for disabling the ship and delaying his plans.

"Lord Megatron, I will make things right, I swear! I know how to get your plans back on course!" Starscream struggled to say. Megatron lifted his ped off of Starscream before picking him up by the neck and setting him down on his peds.

"Explain Starcream, quickly." He ordered.

"Under my supervision Soundwave has discovered a massive satellite array in Texas we can use. All together the satellite dishes will be powerful enough to reach cybertron! Your plans will be back on track with only minor changes."

I got to hand it to Starscream, he is very good at pruning Megatrons anger by making other plans on the fly.

"Very well." He said before turning to me. "Soundwave, you will go to this array in Texas, and use it to bring my army to earth."

I nod, knowing full well that Megatron is going to end up floating among exploded pieces of space bridge in the next 24 hours.

It's been 3 years since I was last in a human building, and it has just struck me how big I really am when not surrounded by other cybertronians. It almost makes me feel even more disconnected from my own humanity. While I'm jacked into the array network, I'm hacking through some of the toughest firewalls that earth has to offer. It's not much compared to my cyberwarfare protocols but it's fun practice.

After a few minutes, I detected another user on the network, most likely Raf, as I finally started repositioning the dishes. A couple seconds later, the dishes aren't on target, I do it again. This goes on for another 3 times before I get a comm from the Nemesis.

"Soundwave! What is happening!?" I heard Starscream say. Looking through the cameras, I found the teens in another room, Miko and Jack crowded around Raf on the computer.

Jeez ever hear of letting a mech work you two?

"Ravage; Eject - Operation: Distraction" 'Just chase them around a little.'

'Of course, Creator.'

Ravage transformed to his panther mode and sneaked away.

"What happens when the cons realize they're being punked?" Jack asked.

"It's only virtual combat. Like online gaming." Raf said.

"Yeah Jack, what are the cons gonna do, they're probably like, a thousand miles away." Miko said.

Just then, Jack felt a presence behind them, when he turned around, he came face to face with a metal panther the size of a grizzly bear with red glowing optics, standing in the doorway. Jack screamed, Miko turned around and screamed as well, while and Raf typed even faster. The panther growled and started moving forward, its paws thudding heavily on the floor. Miko, in her usual fashion, jumped onto the panthers back, and Jack did the same after a moment's hesitation.

"Take this you Robo-cat!" Miko exclaimed, pulling on the cat's ears, which did nothing but annoy it.

The cat then bucked around, and both of them were thrown off. After growling at them, it started stalking over to Raf. The boy began inching away from it as he kept typing. The cat got closer and closer, almost within arm's reach, but then Raf jumped up on the desk, pulling the usb stick out as he went, before jumping off and running over to Jack and Miko, just as the panther pounces and destroys the computer.

Miko pulled a fire axe off the wall and ran at it, right before a large black and purple glowing tentacle speared into the room, hitting Miko before she can swing it at the panther. The tentacle then picks up the axe, and both it and the panther look at the kids.

"You handed them an axe!" Jack yelled.

"Not good." Raf whimpered.

Then, surprising all three of them, the tentacle and the panther leave the room. Running after them into the main room, they see a very large black and dark red painted bot with both wheels and wings up on the roof, which looks back at them showing them a red tinted visor. Miko pulled her phone out and took a picture of it, with the con pulling them up on its visor before doing the same, then after a moment, he spoke.

"Soundwave superior; Human hacker, inferior." A deep, modulated, slightly echoey voice said, before he jumped, transformed into a fighter drone, and flew off.

"Whoa. Wait why is he leaving?" Miko asked, while Raf ran over to a sparking wire.

"He cut the hardline, the dishes are locked onto Cybertron, for good." He said, crouching down to examine the wire.

Jack didn't like the sound of that, he could only hope that the bots manage to stop Megatron. As they ran back outside to call Ratchet for a bridge, Jack wonders who that large black and red mech was, and why it called itself Soundwave when the bots showed them that Soundwave is smaller, thin, and pale blue.

When I walked onto the bridge, I arrived just in time to hear the ending of Starscreams speech about Megatron being dead and how everyone should worship him. I spotted Knockout and Breakdown in the back and walked over to them. I tilted my head slightly once I reached them, asking a silent question.

"Starscream has proclaimed himself 'Lord of the Decepticons'. I would have preferred you to be honest Soundwave, at least you get things done." Knockout said as we started walking out of the bridge, Rumble and Ravage joining us, Laserbeak still in my chest.

"Doc's right, I don't see us doing well at all now that Lord Megatron is in the scrapheap." Breakdown said.

"Megatron was strong and merciless, he couldn't be beaten, Starscream could never be our leader." Rumble said. 'What happens next boss?'

'Next, Starscream awakens the sleeper agent on this planet, Skyquake, after no one cheers at his next speech.'

Rumble and Ravage had to return to my symbiot hold so that they didn't burst out laughing in front of the other two.

Seeing Starscream get his shiny aft whacked into a wall is gonna be fun.

Operation: Relic Retrieval
Autobot outpost: Omega One (Shortly after darkness rising part 5)

"Hey, uh, Optimus?" Jack asked as he and the two other kids walked over.

"Yes Jack?" Optimus replied.

"You know how you showed us that who's who of the Decepticons on the Nemesis? I never saw the one at the array."

Optimus glanced over at Jack. "To which Decepticon do you refer, Jack?"

"Well, when Miko, Raf and I went over to the array in Texas, we saw a large con with a black paintjob with red accents. He had both wings and truck wheels, I think Miko has a picture of him." "Yep!" "But the weirdest part, was that his head looked like Soundwave's with a red tint to his visor. Well, that and he spoke to us."

Optimus' optics widened slightly. "He... spoke?"

"Yeah, big bot! He said, 'Soundwave superior: human hacker, inferior' or something like that!" Miko chirped.

"I think he was talking about me." Raf said quietly.

"Thank you for bringing this to my attention you three. I will inform the other autobots that Soundwave has undergone a frame change." Optimus said, before walking away, his mind wandering to questions about Soundwave's loyalty to Megatron changing since he brought back dark energon.

Soundwave never spoke due to his oath of silent loyalty to Megatron. In the entirety of the war he never spoke, only sending silent pings of affirmative or negative, or data packs of information. If Soundwave is speaking now and was the one that slipped Cliffjumper the information about the energon mines they had raided, then the autobots could potentially have an irreplicable ally in the Decepticons.

You know, I never really gave a breakdown of what I look like, so. I'm actually the same height as Dreadwing, 28 ft, which explains why I was so cramped in my smaller 25 ft frame, and why my new one felt so much better. My new frame is essentially my design from the Rid 2015 show, but with taller and slightly thinner proportions. I was more heavily armored, and I had a long set of wings on my back, which were similar in layout to Starscream's.

One of the major differences was the fact that I had six wheels instead of four, with the four on my legs positioned like Optimus'. A fairly common design choice, all things considered. My symbiot hold was similar to the one from Fall of Cybertron, with my grill directly under my chestplate. I honestly thought I looked pretty cool, to be honest.

I was parked outside the loading dock of a specific museum waiting for my simbiots to open the door with the energon harvester. I had given my symbiots the ability to combine to form machines larger than they could as just themselves, along with some of their older power tools from their days as worker minicons, plus actual vocal synthesizers which was surprisingly easy to do since I've practically rebuilt all three of them multiple times.

I had also given myself another upgrade, Plasma blades. Two swords that come out of my arms that ignite with plasma on the cutting edge almost like a lightsaber. I designed them after Optimus' swords, but just a bit longer, and combined them with the idea of a lightsaber to have a layer of ignited plasma around them, like a lightsaber and a regular sword combined into one.

The encounter with Skyquake and the failed infiltration of the Autobot base went mostly how it did in canon, with all my symbiots laughing when Skyquake whacked Starscream into the cliff wall. The only differences being that Skyquake was more easily taken down since Bumblebee and Cliffjumper were there, and that Elita One, Perceptor, Jazz and Jetfire arrived with Wheeljack in another ship, and they all stayed.

Through my secret, hacked, commlink to Cliffjumper, they were done transporting the D.N.G.S, and it went well since I wasn't on the Nemesis to intercept Rachets comm. And I was scrambling MECH's signals, so they only managed to attack twice. One of the bots did get seen in robot mode, which was a problem for every cybertronian on earth.

"Boss, we got the harvester, heading out now." Rumble commed, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Opening the door now sir." Laserbeak added, her soft British accent coming over the comms.

The door opened, and Ravage along with Laserbeak, combined in the form of a small forklift, drove out with the harvester in their forks, Rumble running after them with his handheld blaster set to stun, in case Laserbeak's hacking of the cameras into a loop didn't work. I opened my rear doors, which acted as an entrance to my subspace, and the harvester was deposited. My symbiots transformed and jumped in, and we peeled out of there.

"Where to now boss?" Rumble asked after I transformed to drone mode and started flying.

"Now we return to the Harbinger, but first a pit-stop." I responded.

After a short stop in a forest to grab an omega key, we reached the Harbinger, which was located in Arizona. After Starscream had left to find Megatron during the whole Skyquake thing, and during the whole scraplet infestation event, I had gone to the Harbinger, along with some tech to get the place up and running. Now it was an incognito base I could use.

Shielding against scans, enough energon in storage to keep me and my symbiots fueled for 4 months, solar collectors to power the ships computers, blaster turrets modified to attack decepticons, but not autobots plus myself and my symbiots, a dark energon detector, plus a prototype cloaking shield that the ship had that makes the ship and the area around it blend into the environment. In total, I had 4 relics so far. The energon harvester, the Immobilizer which was already on the ship, one omega key, and I had even found the spark extractor to kill Unicron with when that happened.

I placed the energon harvester in a siphoning device to take the energon collected in it and turned toa console, where I had been decrypting the Iacon database. The database was the first thing that I had copied from the Nemesis' databanks, so that I could gather all the relics for my and the Autobots use. The only problem was that I was just one mech, and as only one mech, even with symbiots, I couldn't be everywhere at once all over the globe to grab all the pieces to this puzzle that Alpha Trion created so many millennia ago.

"...It might be time to let the Autobots in on all this." I said after a few minutes of decrypting.

"Think the bots will help us?" Rumble asked.

"They have to, otherwise Unicron rises and both earth and Cybertron are destroyed." Laserbeak said, lightly pecking Rumble, removing some pieces of stone from his joints.

"So, what is next creator? Aside from the autobots of course?" Ravage asked.

"Now I suppose we head to the equator and destroy the Tox-En."

"Tox-En!" Laserbeak squawked. "Oh dear."

"I don't like it either, whoever was the idiot that decided to put that stuff in a relic container deserves a kick right in the interface circuits. But it should be easy to get the container blasted out of the rocks it was embedded in with my cannons, if not, Rumble has retained his piledrivers for a reason. Then, we dump its contents in a volcano near the area. We just need to ensure that the lid stays on."

"Sounds like a plan boss." Rumble said.

We left the Harbinger and started flying to Brazil, using my cybertronian horsepower and the ultra-thin air of the upper atmosphere to travel faster than any drone ever could. Since I was a cybertronian, I had 3 times the horsepower of a normal Global Hawk drone, which meant flying faster than most planes. In about 2 hours we were flying over Brazilian airspace. Reaching the coordinates, I dived to the ground, pulled up and transformed into a 3-point landing. Standing up and looking around, I remembered that the lava flow moved the container, so I transformed and drove off in the direction that the lava flow went, Laserbeak, Rumble, and Ravage ejecting and riding on my roof to give 3 more sets of optics.

"There it is sir!" Laserbeak chirped.

I turned toward where a white spherical object lay half buried in rock. Reaching it, I turned to root mode and gave the container an experimental tug, which did nothing, so I stepped back.

"Rumble, activate piledrivers. Operation: Relic Retrieval." I ordered. "Laserbeak, Ravage, patrol the perimeter."

"Yes sir." "Yes creator." They both transformed and took off, Ravage as an atv, and Laserbeak as a small (relatively speaking) UAV drone.

Rumble soon got to work, his piledrivers crushing through the tough lava rock like it was old concrete. The container was deeper than in the show, only 1/4 of the actual thing was above the ground. After about 3 minutes of Rumble pounding the ground, the rock finally gave way, and I picked up the container as Laserbeak and Ravage returned. I opened it and yep, it was tox-en. I quickly resealed it when I heard engine noises, Laserbeak flew up higher before diving back down.

"Autobots! There's 7 of them, Optimus is with them!" She yelled.

"All of you, return! We can't allow the autobots near this slag!"

They all transformed and returned to my symbiot hold. I transformed into my truck mode to hold the container and peeled out towards the volcano. The autobots managed to catch up with me, so my symbiots ejected and took up defensive positions on my truck mode. For the whole trip up the mountain my simbiots guarded me, firing shots in front of the autobots to stop them getting too close. Once we reached the top I immediately transformed and ran for the hole in the middle of the volcano.

"Soundwave!" A baritone voice sounded out as I pulled out the container.

I turned around to see Optimus, Elita, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, and Jazz.

"Soundwave, return the Iacon relic to us." Optimus commanded.

I stared at him for a moment, glancing at the container filled with tox-en in my servos. 'Is it worth it to side with them so early?' I asked through my bond.

'I believe it would be beneficial creator. But it is your choice.' Ravage answered.

I slowly set the relic down, then once I stood up, retracted my visor, which split down the center and folded in. The autobots all looked at me in shock.

"I don't think that you would want what's in this container Optimus, some idiot put tox-en in it." I said, breaking my oath 7 times over.

All of the autobots jaws dropped except Prime's, who regained his composure and slowly walked towards me.

"Is that really tox-en Soundwave?" He asked. I opened the container and showed them, everyone taking a step back in revulsion.

"Ah scrap, he's tellin' the truth." Jazz said.

I turned around and dumped the tox-en down the volcano. "Now no one on earth may suffer it's effects." I said. "Optimus, I want you to know that I no longer follow Megatron. His application of real dark energon directly into his spark chamber has colored my decision. I wish to join the autobots as a double agent, feeding you information about Decepticon movements and plans. Is this acceptable?"

Optimus thought for a moment. "...If you had not spoken to us, I never would have even considered it. Your silence has been your oath to follow Megatron for your entire function. But you have just spoken in front of all of us. So, I welcome you to the autobots, and hope that you stay safe as you give us much needed information in the future."

I nodded before handing him a data packet, "The data I am giving you is the Iacon database, 23% decrypted. I have a concealed base I have been working on it at that I will gladly give you a tour of if you doubt my truthfulness at my defection, it already houses some of the relics detailed in the data."

Optimus thought for a moment. "Soundwave, while I trust you, the others will most likely not. I will take you up on your offer at a later date, once you have proven to the rest of my autobots that you are trustworthy."

"That is acceptable Prime. You may keep the container; I have no use for it."

I walked away, transformed, and flew off.

'It will probably take a while for the autobots to trust us sir.' Laserbeak said as we ground bridged back onto the Nemesis.

'Yeah, even with us giving them info and stuff they ain't gonna trust us already boss.' Rumble agreed.

'I may have an idea on how to get them to trust us faster, or at least, to get Arcee to. We will need to wait a while though.' I said through the bond.

'Whatever comes, we will be ready creator. And we will never leave you.' Ravage declared, and I felt the determination radiating from his bond.

I just hope Megatron doesn't make too much of a fuss at me leaving the Nemesis for long periods of time. I already have a personally trained vehicon to do my job.

Speeding Ticket/Caught in an Arachnicon's web
It had been a few days since I told Optimus of my intentions to become a double agent and defect to the autobots.

Since the energon harvester was safely stowed away in the Harbinger, the search for it came up fruitless for both sides until I sent a message to the autobots that I already had it and was keeping it far away from Starscream. Naturally some of them were up in arms about me having it, but Optimus -Thank primus he actually trusts me- managed to quell their fears. I had gone out again to the Harbinger and decoded another three entries, and found the Resonance Blaster out in Utah, another Omega Key in one of the pyramids of Giza, and the Forge of Solus Prime in the Himalayas.

I was in my berth room, working on a couple concealed blasters for the humans to use in self-defense that transformed into small trinkets that wouldn't be conspicuous. I made them into heavy duty digital watches for them, that would automatically color code to their bot's colors. When activated they would transform out into small arm mounted blasters based on Rumbles handheld blaster, with a small non-intrusive neural link that would connect with the nerves in their arm, so that they could fire it. I suddenly received a comm while testing the transformation sequence on one.

"Uhm, Soundwave. I need your help; I've captured one of the autobots human friends and they're after me and Breakdowns busy keeping Starscream occupied!" Knockout commed me.

I sent a hesitant affirmative ping, and ground bridged out to an empty lot in truck mode.

"Over here!" Knockout whisper yelled.

I looked over and saw him in a particularly dark part of the lot. I drove over and transformed, Knockout doing the same, surprisingly missing a door already, and holding up the unconscious human, who was definitely not Jack, Miko, Raf, June or agent Fowler. At that point, Laserbeak ejected.

"Knockout you idiot, that isn't any of the autobots human friends!" She pecked him on the top of the head as she hovered.

"AH, my finish! Wait this isn't?"

"No, you've abducted a random human you rust brain."

It was at that point Arcee, Bumblebee, Jazz and Bulkhead showed up. I gently took Vince from Knockout and opened a bridge to the Nemesis, and he ran through it. Turning back to the autobots, I slowly walked towards them and retracted my visor. Their eyes widened slightly, but they retracted their weapons.

"Soundwave, we kinda need that human back." Bulkhead said.

"You sure you want him back Bulk? I've seen this guy's search history, and Primus below it ain't pretty." Rumble said, ejecting onto my shoulder.

Arcee took Vince and Bumblebee transformed and opened his passenger door. After putting him in they turned to leave, and Rumble and Laserbeak returned to my symbiot hold.

"Arcee." I said.

She stopped and looked back at me.

"What do you want Soundwave?" The femme asked.

I was silent for a moment. "When Cliffjumper was captured, Starscream had every intention of killing him. Had I not been there, he would have."

I transformed and flew off as Arcee looked at me, her optics wide. 'I hope she trusts me more. She's easily the least trusting Autobot next to Wheeljack.'

'With how mysterious you can be I doubt it.' someone whispered.

'Alright who said that!'

All my symbiots snickered as we flew away, while Arcee stared at my ion trail, deep in thought.

Arriving back at the Nemesis I walked onto the bridge as Starscream started ranting.

"Knockout, was I not clear!? You have defied my orders yet again!" Starscream screeched.

"My mistake commander Starscream. But I've learned my lesson and paid the price." Knockout said, brushing his servo over where his door used to be.

"It is LORD! And you have paid when I say you have paid." He pointed out a single claw. "Do not worry. Your punishment shall be merely... cosmetic."

"No not the finish! ANYTHING BUT THE FINISH. NOOOOOOOO!"

The sound of Starscream's claw scraping on Knockout's metal is something that I wish I could unhear. It was a lot more violent here than in the show. Starscream is a sadistic glitch that's for sure.

After the whole Speed Metal incident, I had scoured the internet for a new door for Knockout, and easily scammed some poor rich fool out of enough spare parts to ensure Knockout has enough parts to last for a long time. Knockout was radiating happiness when I gave him the parts, along with a refurbished buffer I rebuilt for him.

Another trip to the Harbinger for some more decrypting, and a decepticon ship signal being detected on the scanners later, and I was in the forests of North Carolina, having stripped Airachnid's ship of its jammer and destroyed its main engine control. Somehow, I stumbled upon Jack running through the forest. I tried to back away slowly, but I stepped on a branch. Jack turned around and saw me, and tried to scream, but I rushed forward with a tentacle out and grabbed him.

"Let me go!" He yelled.

Not having anywhere else to put him, and that all three of my symbiots were out and patrolling the area for Airachnid, I placed him in my symbiot hold, and walked off to find Arcee. Fearing that Jack would hurt himself with how much he was panicking; I did something that I usually used on my symbiots. Fun fact, cybertronians can do something similar to purring using their engines, so I did just that to try and calm him down. After a few minutes of walking and purring, Jack had calmed down, and I could feel him relaxing slightly. It felt a bit weird to have a whole human in my chest, being a former human for sure. But I've been a cybertronian for 3 and a half years now and have had my symbiots in my chest for almost as long, so it wasn't as weird as it would have been back then.

"Why are you doing this?" Jack said, his voice slightly muffled. "Optimus said you wanted to join the autobots, but he also said you were one of the most loyal to Megatron, so why?"

After a few more moments of walking, I opened my symbiot hold and placed him on my shoulder, opened my visor, then spoke. "Have the autobots told you about dark energon?"

"A little bit, like how it's the blood of your Satan." He said.

"Unicron is more than our Satan. He is the absolute opposite of Primus, our god. His blood, dark energon, if ingested, will drive any technobiological life insane. It is my belief that Megatron has done so already."

"But Megatrons gone right?" At my silence, his face paled slightly. "He survived that massive explosion!?" I nodded. "Oh scrap."

"I must have a talk with Arcee for being a bad influence on a sparkling." I mumbled. 'Slagging sparkling protocols.'

"I'm 16- Wha-...Where those blaster shots?"

"Hold on to me."

Jack tucked himself into my neck cables as I ran towards the sound of blaster fire, activating my visor. As we ran, I pulled one of the watches out of my subspace.

"Take this and put it on." I ordered.

He grabbed it confusedly and put it on, it activated and went into blaster mode.

"Whoa!"

"Designed specifically for humans, for self-defense."

We arrived at a clearing, and I set Jack down just in time, as Arcee came flying into the clearing and slammed into me.

"Oh Arcee, is that another partner for me to add to your list?" Airachnid asked sadistically as she webbed both of us.

She walked over to us and saw me, her optics widened then she smirked. Before she could say anything, Jack fired a shot from his blaster, knocking Airachnid back as Laserbeak landed on my shoulder.

"Airachnid, your sadistic interrogation tactics are no longer welcome among the decepticons. Consider yourself marked for death." She said.

Ravage rocketed out into the clearing, Rumble riding on him firing wildly at Airachnid, while Jack and Laserbeak started tearing the webbing away.

"This doesn't make us even Soundwave." Arcee said as we got free.

"Would reducing that abhorrent excuse of a femme to slag, do it?" I said, onlining my cannons.

"Yeah that'd make us even." she smirked. "I'm going to have a talk with you later about giving weapons to Jack by the way."

We started firing at Airachnid, who had just webbed Ravage and Rumble.

"Soundwave! I'll feast on your spark for this!" She yelled.

Airachnid webbed me and I fell over, she then focused on Arcee, both of them fighting further and further away. Jack then came over and used his pocketknife to start cutting the webbing off.

"I know you're trying to be an autobot, so help her. Please!" He said as he slashed at the webbing.

As soon as I got free, I ran after them. I saw Airachnid on top of Arcee, ready to pierce her spark with one of her spider legs, and I delivered a massive uppercut to her. Unleashing one of my plasma blades, I cut off about a foot on 2 of her legs, before roundhouse kicking her so hard she flew through multiple trees and dug a trench before finally stopping. With Airachnid down for the count, I retracted my visor and offered a hand to Arcee.

"You hit pretty hard for a mech that I've never seen fight." She said as she accepted my help up.

"And you hit harder than pit for a two-wheeler." I responded.

Jack and my symbiots came over at that point.

"Arcee are you ok?" He asked.

We suddenly heard drilling behind us and turned around to see Airachnid tunneling away. Arcee and I ran over and tried to get a shot at her, but she had already tunneled away.

"So much for closure." Arcee said.

"Now Airachnid is stuck here on Earth. I'm not so sure that's a good thing." Jack said as he walked up.

"Airachnid being on any planet isn't good." Laserbeak said.

"Soundwave." I looked at Arcee. "Thank you for saving Cliff. He told me about what you did." She grabbed her arm and rubbed it a bit. "I will admit that I was skeptical to you wanting to join us." She looked up at me. "But after you saved me and Cliff, I know you're telling the truth now."

"Arcee, I thank you for accepting my change in allegiance. Even though it took you facing your demons to do so." I said, holding out my servo, with a small circular device on it, along with the watches for the other humans. "Here. This device will broadcast an emergency beacon that only I can pick up through my symbiot bond. Only use it if you are cut off and need my assistance. The watches are for the humans, they transform into arm blasters for self-defense usage."

She hesitantly took the beacon and the watches, and along with Jack, started walking away. But not before turning back around and nodding at me. I nodded back. My symbiots returned, and we started walking back to Airachnids ship to strip it of anything useful to the Harbinger. After about 15 minutes we finally made it back and started salvaging.

"Did we do the right thing boss?" Rumble asked as I pulled out an intact power linkage.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Bringing Megatron back. I mean, he's still gonna be insane from the dark energon in him, so why did you have Laserbeak follow Starscream to make sure that he brought him back?"

"While I am the one who knows all the information about the next few years, I forget that none of you share my memories. Megatron is the only one capable of giving the coordinates to the path to Unicron's anti-spark. We unfortunately need him to get to the core. Once we are down there, Megatron ceases to be of use, and I bury my plasma blade in his corrupted spark."

"That sounds a bit brutal boss."

"It is unfortunately necessary, to ensure that Unicron is unable to resurrect Megatron as a puppet."

By the time I had finished stripping Airachnids ship, I had a massive number of parts that could be converted for use on the Harbinger, but my energon was starting to dwindle.

I think it's time I excavated a certain data cylinder.

Relic Grab/ A Warlords Return/ Mistransportation and New Faces
Fun fact: The show episodes don't take place very close together, which means I had time to gather more relics.

The excavation of the data cylinder went swimmingly. All we really had to do was have Rumble pound down to it, and I dragged it out of the ground. All of its knowledge now resides on the Harbingers data banks, the tests are around 24% done, and the cylinder itself is being deep scanned on the off chance that it can hold anything other than data. A bit of preparation for the future, should plan A of throwing an activated spark extractor at Unicron not work.

I had also made a trip to Antarctica to collect the Apex armor. That itself took around an hour and a half of ice digging/melting, since the armor was so deep in the shelf that we had practically made a cave by the time we made it out with the relic. After a bit of testing, it turns out the armor works for my symbiots as well. What was funny was watching Laserbeak and Ravage stumble around as they tried to orient themselves with bipedalism. Seeing the glint in both of their optics at being able to give me a real hug was a sparkfelt moment though.

The search for the other two omega keys is relatively easy, given one was literally in one of the Giza pyramids, the other one is a task for another day, and the fourth isn't even on the planet yet. What was tricky however, was modifying a shield dampener to the right frequency to cancel out the flux of the polarity gauntlet. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the coordinates, I ran into a young couple camping right on top of the place where it was buried.

"HOLY SHIT!" The man yelled.

"Oh my God! I knew aliens were real! They're gonna take us to the mothership!" The woman screamed.

Looking around, I spotted their van, which had an area 51 sticker on its side. Lovely, alien enthusiasts.

'These humans are most likely alien conspiracy theorists. They will most likely keep this event a secret for the rest of their lives.' I said through the symbiot bond as I ejected all of them.

'I am not surprised that some humans believe in life on other planets.' Ravage said.

"Calm yourselves humans. We are aliens, but our business is not with you, rather what is underneath your feet." Laserbeak said.

"What is under us, visitors?" The man asked.

"That is not your concern, but it does not harm your kind." Ravage said.

Rumble activated his pile drivers and started breaking up the ground, and my tentacles folded out to drill into the ground. As we dug, I turned on the modified shield dampener to make sure no one detected the magnetic flux. After a few minutes, I noticed the woman coming closer to Laserbeak.

"What are you?" She asked after a moment.

"We are living machines from another planet, also known as cybertronians. What you saw when we landed was transforming, something that any of our kind can do." Laserbeak explained.

"You mean there are more of you... cybertronians on earth?"

"Indeed, hundreds of us. You cannot tell which is which, however. We are functionally identical to human-made machines."

'Seems like Laserbeak found a gossip friend eh boss?' Rumble said through our bond.

'May primus have mercy on us if they start talking about mechs.' I responded.

Having reached the relic, I dragged it out of the ground. The polarity gauntlet is technically a prototype mining tool, a powerful electromagnet created as a tool for hazardous meteorite mining. It would have done that by magnetizing the metals in the rock to pull the meteor to the user so that it can be mined in a safer place, and no harm comes to the mech or femme using it. It was later found that the gauntlet worked very well as a weapon, so when the war started it was sealed away in the Hall of Records to keep it out of decepticon hands.

"So how do you speak cybertronian?" The woman asked, drawing me out of my thoughts and to over where my symbiots had gathered around the fire the humans had made.

"Cybertronian is indecipherable to human vocal cords, if you were to try to speak it, people would look at you like you were insane. Here. Sir have you found the polarity gauntlet yet? That is cybertronian." Laserbeak said.

"Wow, it'd take me years to figure out how to speak that." The man said from his grill as he made his wife and him dinner.

"Cybertronians have universal translators, however. It helped when we traded with other civilizations." Ravage said from beside him, sitting like a housecat with his tail around his legs.

"I don't think we've introduced ourselves have we. I'm Carly Witwicky and that's my husband Spike." Carly said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both. I am Laserbeak, the cybercat is Ravage, the one with the pile drivers is Rumble, and sir is Soundwave, our symbiot host." Laserbeak said.

'I have the gauntlet, say goodbye to your friends.' I said.

After the humans swore on their lives that they would never tell the government about us, we left, but not before Laserbeak gave a small cybertronian necklace to Carly, we packed up, transformed and left.

I was watching Starscream on the bridge berating the work crews for not working fast enough on the cameras when Knockout walked in.

"Doctor in the house." Knockout said as he walked in.

"Ah, Knockout. And how is the patient doing today?" Starscream asked.

"Same old."

"An inglorious fate, that he should remain in this vegetative state."

"On the contrary. Megatron's body may be scrap metal, but his mind is still percolating."

"Keep that to yourself." Starscream said as he turned around. "That blasted Soundwave sees and hears everything."

"The eyes and ears of the decepticons."

'Eyes and ears indeed Knockout.' I thought.

"Well, as long as their master remains in limbo, so does their cause. The decepticons deserve a strong, alert leader." Starscream said.

"One who would require a loyal second in command." Knockout commented.

"A candidate would need to earn that post, by making a strong case to said eyes and ears."

"A case for showing mercy, 'Lord Starscream'?"

"You scratch my back, I scratch yours." Starscream grinned evilly.

'Sweet primus can that mech really ham it up.' Rumble said.

I switched to the med bay camera centered on Megatron and saw Arcee finishing the set up for the cortical psychic patch. I watched her crawl into the crawlspace where Bumblebee no doubt was.

"Ah, Soundwave, there you are. Knockout has his prognosis for our lord." Starscream said as he approached me.

I nodded to him and began walking to the med bay. We met up with Knockout at the entrance.

"Knockout, if you would be so kind as to provide your expert medical opinion to Soundwave. For the historical record of course." Starscream said as we walked in.

"Simply put, unaided, Megatron could remain in this deathless slumber forever." Knockout said.

"Our master would not have wanted to be seen this way, to stand idly by while he remains captive in his own body, is not just." Starscream said.

I walked forward slightly and pointed at the screen, where Megatron's mind was hard at work.

"Brainwave activity, not evidence of consciousness, but merely of an endless dream from which Megatron may never awake." Knockout said.

"Soundwave, we must face reality. Megatron is lost to us." Starscream said.

"The only honorable option would be to show him mercy."

"A simple throw of the switch."

"Quick, painless, compassionate."

They turned away to look at Megatron and I spied the patch and followed it over to where I saw Arcee looking at me. I saw the symbiot bond device attached to her headfin and decided to make my presence known.

'Don't worry Arcee, I saw the patch, I'll buy you some time.' I said to the device, which went to her comm.

Arcee widened her optics slightly, but nodded and dipped back down, probably to comm Ratchet.

"Soundwave," I turned back to the others. "Do I take your silence to mean you concur with Knockout's medical expertise?" Starscream asked.

I said nothing and stared at Megatron's body.

"Speak now or forever hold your peace." He said, grabbing ahold of one of the life support lines.

I took a step towards Starscream, the red tint of my visor brightening slightly.

"Uh... Starcream?" Knockout said.

Starscream looked over at Knockout who was pointing at the back of the medical berth.

'Almost out of time Arcee, get whoever is in Megatron's head out immediately!' I said through the bond.

A few moments later, Megatron's brainwave activity spiked.

"What in... Intruders!" Starscream said as a ground bridge light appeared from the crawlspace.

"Allow me!" I heard Arcee say as a Blaster bolt flew into Megatron's central support line.

We walked back over to Megatron's body, and Starscream sighed.

"It was the inevitable outcome." He said, looking up at me. I slowly turned my head down at him, and he growled. "Of course, it would be wrong to allow Megatron to perish by an autobot's hand. Knockout?"

Knockout shrugged and reattached the line. Nodding at him, I walked out of the med bay and back to the bridge.

I and my symbiots were watching on the flight deck camera on the bridge to record Starscreams plan unfolding.

'This is the dumbest plan Starscream has ever had.' Ravage said after the troops finished building the heat ray.

'I know. Just let him have his moment.' I replied to him.

"Let the reign of lord Starscream begin." He said as the ray started melting ice.

After a few minutes, I detected a ground bridge opening near the med bay, then another few minutes later, another one opened.

'Looks like Megatron has nearly returned.' I thought.

At that moment the autobots started attacking. I watched them brawl for a few moments, then changed to the med bay cameras just in time to witness Bumblebee/Megatron slam the dark energon shard into Megatron's chest.

"Decepticons. Your rightful lord and master has returned." His voice came over everyone's comm.

Megatron then walked away to find Starscream for ripping the shard out of his chest. I bridged myself down to where Bee and Ratchet were, startling them.

"Soundwave!" Ratchet said, activating his short blades.

"We do not have much time autobots, Megatron will no doubt return to attempt to deactivate you himself. I am bridging you to a place I know you will be safe. You may transport yourself back to your base from there." I said, retracting my visor and ejecting my two of my symbiots. "My symbiots, Ravage and Rumble will show you how."

"...You really are trying to join the bots, aren't you?" Raf asked.

"Indeed, little one. The decepticons no longer uphold the ideals that I cherish." I turned to Ratchet and gave him a data chip. "Here is another data chip detailing more energon mines and deposits that you can potentially use. This trip will not be entirely fruitless after all."

I opened a ground bridge next to them, and Bumblebee walked through first, then came back and nodded.

"It's some crashed decepticon ship." He said.

"Yeah, it is, c'mon Yellow, let's go!" Rumble said as he ran though the bridge, the others following behind.

"Thank you... Soundwave." Raf said as they left.

The ground bridge closed, and my visor slid closed over my face. A few moments later Megatron appeared around the corner with a heavily damaged Starscream being dragged behind him.

"Soundwave, there you are. Fetch Knockout, I have need of his medical services." He said.

I nodded and sent a ping to Knockout, who arrived along with Breakdown.

"Yes, my liege?" He asked.

"Have Starscream repaired and online as soon as possible. I wish to speak with him."

"Of course, my liege."

Knockout and Breakdown then got to work, attaching support lines to Starscreams chassis.

"Here you are autobots, one ground bridge remote set to delete its last coordinates after its use. Now you may go home." Ravage said.

"Thank you." Raf said.

"Do not mention it little one. I am only doing my duty as your ally."

"Why did you tell us to wait out here though?"

"Decepticon defenses that are still online unfortunately."

Ratchet looked back at the minicon with a contemplative expression as they walked through the bridge to the base. How could a decepticon ship still be online after all this time. He didn't have time to think about it too much because as soon as they got back, he got a comm.

"Ratchet, we require a ground bridge." Optimus commed.

"Triangulating coordinates. Optimus, you are not going to believe what happened."

Mistransportation and New Faces

Megatron and I were in the med bay, waiting for Starscream to wake up. It has been 2 days since the whole incident happened, and Megatron is acting like his dark energon addicted self. Staring off into space and muttering to himself. It has creeped me out thoroughly. Just then, Starscream came online.

"Resting comfortably Starscream? Despite the extent of your injuries, my medical staff assures me you will make a rapid recovery." He said.

"Hopefully every bit as rapid as your wrath is swift." Starscream said, coughing.

"And how swiftly things change. To think but a short time ago, it was you who was standing here, while I was lying there, right after your failed attempt to terminate me. But know this, dear Starscream, our positions shall never again be reversed." He said as we began to walk away.

After a few minutes, I saw Starscream leaving through the flight deck camera, and walked to the ground bridge relay to receive him when he inevitably needs an emergency bridge. After convincing the soldier to go and rest, I waited until I got a comm.

"This is commander Starscream, requesting emergency ground bridge to my coordinates." Starscream commed.

I immediately opened a bridge so I could silently berate him for leaving while injured. He finally came through, missing an arm, and landed on his front.

"My arm!?" He said while looking around. He noticed me after a moment and his wings lowered. At my stare he got up and walked away with a sad and fearful expression on his face. I suddenly noticed that there were three particular humans in the room with me.

"...Uh, hi?" Raf said.

"Scrap." I groaned.

I vented a sigh and moved to pick them all up, opening my symbiot hatch as I walked. Jack, already having done this before let himself and Raf be picked up, Miko having to be grabbed since she tried running away and placed them all in my symbiot hold. All my symbiots were in my quarters resting after a patrol.

"Let us out no-face!" Miko yelled, muffled by my chest.

"I would recommend that you be silent, otherwise the other decepticons will notice you." I said, starting to purr to calm them down as I walked to my quarters.

"Miko calm down, Soundwave isn't going to hurt us." Jack said. I could feel him settling into a groove in my hold, Raf doing the same a little hesitantly.

"How do you know Jack?" Miko asked.

"Because I've been in here before, remember?"

"Oh..."

They lapsed into silence after that as I continued walking to my quarters. After reaching them, I locked the door and let them out.

"Ah boss there you are... Wait why do you have the bot's humans?" Rumble asked.

"Bringing in more strays sir?" Laserbeak teased.

"How did you three arrive on the Nemesis?" Ravage asked.

"We followed Miko through the bridge and saw Starscream doing something with dark energon. The bots tried to bridge us back, but something messed up with the bridges. Last we saw of Starscream he jumped in behind us on accident." Jack explained.

"Technically, you jumped through the ground bridge that I opened, but that is not important. What is important is that we will need to find a place to hide before you are discovered." I said, "The decepticons are not fond of humans on the ship. If you are found, you will be captured and interrogated for the location of your base."

"Is there anywhere we can hide?" Jack asked. I pondered it for a while, before coming to the decision to bring the autobots into the fold.

"Nowhere on the Nemesis would really be safe, I'll have to take you three to our hidden base. You may contact the autobots from there." I said.

I gathered the humans back into my symbiot hold and opened a bridge to the Harbinger, my symbiots following behind me.

The ship turned hidden base is much better looking on the inside since I took up residence there. The laboratory now holds all the relics I have gathered so far, and as much science equipment as I could "borrow" from the Nemesis. The five protoforms in the cloning lab still await laser cores to be inserted into them, I do not want clones of myself no matter how funny it would be. Testing of the Synth-En has neared 56%, and I reckon it will be complete around the time that "Stronger, Faster" would have taken place. Unfortunately, I am not a scientist, otherwise it would have taken a lot less time to complete the formula. The exterior defenses are more robust in case of any unexpected visitors.

"Wow this place is cool!" Miko said, immediately running of with Rumble trailing behind.

"Did you restore this place by yourself?" Jack asked as he walked over to a minicon staircase that went up to a workdesk.

Raf said nothing, immediately walking over to the computer system and staring in awe.

"It may have taken us a while, but it was worth it in the end." Laserbeak said as she started preening Jack's hair.

"The hardest part was ensuring that the base would be hidden from scanning." Ravage said as he lay behind Raf, being used as a cushion for the boy as he typed on his laptop.

"Put me down laser brain!" Miko said as Rumble carried her back to the main room over his shoulder.

"Nope, you ain't getting loose, not after you almost knocked over the data cylinder." Rumble said.

After a few minutes of explaining all the modifications that I and my symbiots had made to the ship, I received a comm from my bond.

"Soundwave, you there?" Arcee asked.

"I read you. I assume you are about to ask about your human friends?" I responded.

"Yeah- Wait how did you know that was what I was going to ask?"

I sighed, "I am sending you coordinates, simply input them into the ground bridge and come through, everyone is welcome to join."

I turned to the humans. "Arcee just commed me, she and the other autobots are on their way. I believe we should head outside."

Walking out of the Harbinger, we are greeted by a ground bridge opening, and every autobot aside from Perceptor coming out of it, surprisingly no one had their weapons out, not even Wheeljack or Bulkhead

Retracting my visor, I greeted them.

"Greetings autobots, here are your compatriots, unharmed thanks to I and my symbiots efforts."

"Hi Bulk!" Miko waved from Rumbles shoulders, immediately losing all the tension as the autobots realized that the kids were riding my minicons, Jack on Laserbeak and Raf on Ravage.

"Soundwave, I am glad to see that the children are not harmed." Optimus said as he walked to me.

"Your gratitude is appreciated Orion." I responded, Primes optics widening slightly.

"How about a tour Soundy?" Miko chirped.

"...I suppose a tour would be a good idea. Follow me."

I started walking, Optimus falling into step on my left, Arcee on my right.

"Over the past 4 weeks, my symbiots and I have been reinforcing this crashed ship, the Harbinger, into a veritable fortress. Shielding against scans, laboratory equipment that we 'borrowed' from the Nemesis, and two very interesting things that I believe that you will like."

We walked into the lab, which had all the relics I had gathered in siting in cases.

"Are those Iacon relics!?" Ratchet asked in shock.

"Indeed. Plus, the energon harvester that I informed you of, but that is not what is interesting. What is, is what is on the consoles." I clicked a button, showing project Iacon and the synth-en formula. "A peace offering. The entire Iacon database, and a formula for synthetic energon."

Ratchets jaw almost came unhinged with how wide it was, the other autobots were in similar states of shock.

"You mean you've been sitting on all this just as a peace offering?" Bulkhead commented.

"I will admit I had considered collecting all of the relics and delivering a few cubes of synthetic to seal the deal." I said.

"...Are these clone protoforms?" Jetfire interrupted as he stood in front of them.

"Yes... they are. Why do you ask?"

"Do they take laser cores?"

"With minor modifications as I have found. Why?" I asked, walking over to him.

Jetfire reached into his subspace as a solemn expression came across his face. "You know how I was the leader of the Aerialbots? Silverbolt, Air Raid, Breakaway, and Skydive were all killed, but I kept their laser cores to remember them. Do you think that you and Ratchet can bring them back?"

"Jetfire, you know that attempting to bring back the dead only laser cores is pure folly if these protoforms don't have all the correct organs. Do they?" Ratchet asked me.

"After scanning them, they are fully capable of bringing back anybot, grounder or flier. Even combiners." Jetfire's optics widened at that.

"You mean Superion could come back too?" He asked.

"But that leaves only one protoform left." Arcee said. "Who would be the last one? I don't think any of us have any other laser cores."

Optimus looked at Ratchet at that point. "No one but you, old friend."

Ratchet looked at Optimus, his optics wide as he brought his hand up with a laser core in it and looked at it.

About 10 minutes later and an explanation to the kids about cybertronian reincarnation, the laser cores were installed in the protoforms, and everyone had gathered around.

"Would you like to do the honor doctors?" I asked Ratched and the newly arrived Perceptor.

They pulled the lever, and with a massive amount of electricity sparking around the protoforms, they eventually took the forms of G1 inspired prime versions of the aerialbots and Bluestreak and they all fell into a kneeling position before they came online.

"S-Sire?" Bluestreak said to Ratchet, who stumbled over and gathered Bluestreak in his arms, whispering cybertronian prayers of what he was seeing he hoped to be real.

The Aerialbots group hugged, Jetfire at the center of it. All of them crying golden colored tears.

"This calls for a celebration!" Bulkhead yelled.

"You got that right!" Wheeljack said.

"I have high grade in the storage room, and a music collection in the captain's quarters." I said as everyone started moving to the newcomers and talking to them.

Eventually everyone got reintroduced to the reforged, and the high grade flowed. Wheeljack and Bulkhead started sharing wrecker stories, I spotted Cliffjumper and Arcee dancing with each other and Optimus and Elita shared a dance on one of the slower songs. Bluestreak was listening to Jazz tell one of his famous sabotage stories along with Warpath. The kids were having fun, running around playing with my symbiots, being chaotic as usual. Perceptor was doing a bit of light testing of the synth-en with a cube of high grade in his hand, nodding along while Ratchet rambled about the wreckers.

Around sunset Optimus disappeared, and I left to find him. I soon found him outside sitting around a campfire he had made as he watched the sun go down, a thoughtful expression on his faceplate.

"Getting away from the party Prime?" I asked as I walked up to him, most of the others not far behind.

"I have never been one for parties." Optimus said.

"You mean your first allspark day celebration with Elita didn't happen? You can't lie to me Orion; I saw you after 7 cubes of high grade at macadams. I have never seen a mech dance like that." I quipped.

"You mean Optimus was a party animal?!" Miko chirped as everyone started sitting down to watch the sunset.

Optimus looked at me with an exasperated expression, before laughing, and it sounded like rolling thunder. With everyone settled and the sun turning red as it lowered, I decided to embarrass the Prime a bit.

"Oh definitely. I wish I still had the recording of some of the moves Orion pulled off to impress Elita. You see..."

The night was filled with the sound of laughter as the celebration went on into the night.

"Soundwave. Thank you for allowing some of our comrades to return." Optimus said to me as everyone left through the ground bridge.

"You're welcome Prime. My base is always open to you and your allies, never forget that." I responded. I handed him a data stick. "Here, perhaps with both of us working on it, the Iacon database can be fully decoded sooner rather than later."

"Till all are one, Soundwave."

"Till all are one, Orion."

After everyone left, I and my symbiots bridged back to my quarters in the Nemesis right as Megatron commed me.

"Soundwave, come to the flight deck, we have new allies." he ordered.

Arriving on the flight deck I am greeted by a transport ship, and a set of 5 particular decepticon grounders.

"Ah Soundwave, see if you can get our intel out of the ship will ya?" Motormaster asked.

Slag, I was not prepared for the stunticons... Is that Offroad replacing Breakdow

Operation: MECH part 1
It's been about a week since the stunticons arrived, and they're even more chaotic than how they were in Soundwave's limited experience with them.

Loud, brash, destructive, and rude as all Pit. So, I have been spending more time at the Harbinger, decoding project Iacon. Collecting the Star Saber is the last thing on the list, since I need Optimus to get it, so I've been focusing on the other relics, the phase shifter and the force field generator.

Thanks to having even more time than in the show, I'm able to discern the full technical names of the Iacon relics plus a lot of their descriptions through the decoding of the database. Some of them are basically the same, like the Star Saber or the Apex Armor. Others have different names than in the show, like the WMSD-13 Spark extractor grenade, yeah turns out that thing was a grenade. Or the Resonance Blaster's full name being the R3-SC3 Variable Wavelength Resonance Blaster MK-2. Jeez that's a mouthful. Also, turns out that the Polarity Gauntlet's real name is the FD-9 Polarizer Mag-Lev Astro-magnet.

The last two relics are by far the most interesting to me, not counting the Resonance Blaster currently attached to my left arm, I am SOUNDwave, gotta have sonic weaponry. The X-Z18 Phaser Energy Shield uses a small non-intrusive energon line to power its mechanical parts, and uses phase technology to power the shield, also using whatever shots hit the shield to provide reserve power to it. It was created to aid ancient cybertronian defense forces, but never got past the prototype stage due to its costly construction, easily 680,000 Shanix per unit, so it never left the prototype stage.

The X-V5 Phase-shift Manipulator uses a semi-intrusive energon line to power the whole thing, considering its older than the phaser shield, I'm not surprised. It uses the phase tech to vibrate at a specific frequency that covers the user in a glowing blue outline, which allows the wearer to 'phase' through solid objects through mental command. It was created by ancient cybertronians for search and rescue teams, so that they could phase through wreckage to save trapped survivors. It also never left the prototype stage due to its cost, 220,000 Shanix per unit, money that the Rescue Bot Acadamy didn't have that could be better spent on ships and other rescue equipment. It wasn't until the war that the design became useful for navigating destroyed buildings, but the designs were completely lost over the millennia, and it was a prototype as well, so it was locked away.

'Boss, we got it!' Rumble said through the bond, pulling me out of my thoughts.

'Good work Rumble, you two better get out of that human mine just in case it's unstable.' I responded.

Ravage and Rumble came out combined in a small minecart train, the phaser shield in the cargo hold. I picked up the shield, storing in my subspace as my symbiots transformed.

"Thats 13 down, 2 to go, right boss?" Rumble asked.

"Indeed, Rumble." I replied. "Now we get this back to the Harbinger and return to the Nemesis."

"I'm detecting incoming humans sir!" Laserbeak suddenly shouted.

My symbiots returned to their hold, and I heard a car engine coming towards us. I barely had the time to transform and fly away as a car came drifting around the curve, followed by two police cars.

"That was way too close." Rumble said once we reached cruising altitude.

"Indeed. I may have an idea on how to not be discovered in that situation however." I said.

"What are you thinking about boss?"

"An old project used by a special force in the Decepticons, to get them behind enemy lines." I replied cryptically.

Standing at my console on the bridge, I show Starscream the footage of Breakdown being captured by MECH. Starscream turns and walks over to Megatron.

"Lord Megatron, I fear Breakdown has gone missing." Starscream said.

"The autobots?" Megatron asked.

"According to surveillance provided by the astonishingly accurate Soundwave," He motioned back to me. "Breakdown was abducted by humans."

"Your point?"

"My strongest recommendation, we assemble a rescue team to hunt the vermin responsible for this outrage!"

After a moment, Megatron spoke. "Breakdown... Is on his own."

"Uh... Master?"

"If Breakdown allowed himself to be captured by those smaller than him, weaker than him, he deserves whatever fate awaits him."

Starscream said something else, but I wasn't paying attention, I had already walked out of the room to get to the Harbinger and contact the autobots. No way in Pit am I leaving Breakdown to be destroyed.

Arriving at the Harbinger I immediately commed the autobots. After a couple of seconds, Ratchets face showed up on the monitor.

"Soundwave? What is it?" Ratchet asked.

"I must speak with Optimus. Breakdown has been captured by the human group known as MECH." I responded.

Ratchet called for him, and Prime alone with the other autobots walked into the command center.

"Soundwave, you said that Breakdown had been captured by MECH?" He asked.

"Indeed, and Megatron has made his choice," My visor clicked on. " 'Breakdown... is on his own'."

Optimus closed his optics for a moment, before venting deeply. "It is clear that Megatron would not bother with an errand of mercy. Autobots, to the Harbinger. We will rescue Breakdown."

Surprisingly the other bots weren't as shocked as they were in the other show, maybe I've done more than I thought. Optimus, Elita, Ratchet, Cliffjumper, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bluestreak came through the bridge, and after a few minutes of preparation I decided to tell them a bit about MECH.

"Being that this MECH is attempting to get cybertronian biology, I have taken some time to observe them. MECH has been rapidly searching for corpses to dissect, and have found multiple vehicons, ground and air versions. I believe that they wanted to capture both Breakdown and Bulkhead and do the same to them."

A look of shock, horror, and disgust ran through the autobots faces. Yeah, MECH is a lot worse than what they showed in the show. Seeing the energon leaking out of a dismembered vehicon was enough to make me and my symbiots very uncomfortable, to the point that we had to stop watching entirely. I shook my head a little to get the image out of my head.

"MECH are butchers, there's no telling what they're doing to Breakdown right now." Elita said.

"Indeed, which it why I advise that no one goes alone." I said, pulling out the ground bridge remote and syncing to it, opening a portal to Russia. "And remember my cover. I am simply here to rescue Breakdown and have 'temporarily' aligned with you for his sake."

"Understood." Optimus said, activating his battlemask. "Autobots, roll out!"

As we drove through the bridge, I hoped that Laserbeak had kept her optics on Breakdown, and the device I made would work properly.

Breakdown watched as the human's drill got closer and closer to his optic. He was certain that the humans would irreparably damage his optical socket. Knockout would never be able to fix it. His thoughts were interrupted when all of a sudden, the power flickered and died, all of the machinery choking to a stop.

"Status report!" Silus shouted.

"Something happened to the generators sir!" One of the scientists responded.

"Figure it out, I want to know what make-" Breakdown suddenly heard loud banging at the far end of the tunnel. Followed by and explosion and sounds of blaster fire. He managed to crane his neck to look down the tunnel and spotted 3 pairs of optics and a red tinted visor looking back at him.

"It is good to see you unharmed Breakdown." Optimus said as they walked over to him.

"S-Soundwave? What are you doing with the autobots?" Breakdown asked.

"Breakdown... is on his own- This is unacceptable!" Came his recorded response.

The Optimus and Soundwave started getting him up and Ratchet started checking him over, but he was lost in thought. Megatron gave up on him? Why would he do that, he is an accomplished soldier. His mind kept going over the recording of Megatron as they started running out of the tunnel. And why was Soundwave of all mechs coming to his rescue. He was broken out of his thoughts when the shooting started.

'Finding' the MECH base and getting Breakdown out was easy enough. After Optimus tried a few hits on the barricaded entrance I had effectively said "You're taking too long." and fired the Resonance Blaster at the door, blowing it off its hinges. Breakdown thankfully had both optics, which meant that Laserbeak had done her job of sabotaging the power grid MECH was using. I played the recording of Megatron abandoning him to place doubt in his mind, so that I could ensure that the two mechs I considered friends would try and get out of the decepticons before it all went to pit. We ran out of the tunnel and were suddenly assaulted by every soldier MECH had.

I opened fire on the cars, Breakdown doing the same, not caring about human casualties. The autobots were more careful, only disabling the vehicles and letting the soldiers run away. I looked to my left and saw Bulkhead, Arcee, Cliffjumper, Bluestreak and Bumblebee running towards us, firing as well. We kept firing and smashing the cars, and the number of bullets pelting our armor started to decrease. I noticed one helicopter in particular was hanging back and had a large energy cannon mounted on its belly. It started charging while it pointed at Bulkhead and Breakdown, who were back-to-back and covering each other.

The world slowed down to only 3/4th's the speed as my dual processors went into overdrive calculating the battlefield. I could make it to both of them and push them out of the way, but I needed to act fast. Using the boosters on my back, I sped towards them, ripping through a MECH car as I ran. I saw the cannon fire, it's electric beam following it. With a massive crash I tackled both of them out of its radius just as the projectile hit the ground, destroying everything in a 17 meter radius.

We looked back at the crater as MECH retreated, some of the cars sparking and catching fire as the electricity arced on them. I looked over at the autobots as they came over and helped us up.

"I am glad to see that all three of you are unharmed." Optimus said as he helped me up.

I took a look around at everyone, most of us were covered in dust, grime, bullet marks and a few holes. I looked at Prime and nodded. Suddenly, we heard flier engines. I discreetly hid behind the mass of autobots, deactivated my short range IFF, and activated a one-time use invisibility cloak I had cobbled together as Starscream and 14 vehicons landed in front of us, forming a V. Breakdown eyed me for a moment before pretending I wasn't there.

"Commander Starscream." Breakdown said.

"Consorting with the enemy Breakdown?" He asked.

"But the bots got me out of there."

"Many spark-felt thanks autobots. Now, return to base!"

"But I-"

"Do you intend on joining their ranks any time soon? ... No? Then get going already!"

Breakdown looked back at us, before transforming and driving off.

"Now autobots, I don't think we are- AUGH!" Starscream didn't get to finish as the autobots opened fire on him and the vehicons. He screamed, transformed, and flew off, along with only 6 of the vehicons. After a few moments of watching them escape, the autobots disengaged their weapons, and the cloak ran out.

"Is that cloaking tech?" Ratchet asked.

"Indeed. Unfortunately, it's a single use device, not meant for repeated use or it might explode." I replied.

It was at that point that Laserbeak flew down and landed on my shoulder.

"Hello sir, I'm glad to see you alright. Observation of MECH went smoothly, but they scattered so much I lost track of Silus." She reported.

"Slag." I received a ping from Breakdown. "I must go, Breakdown deserves an explanation." I said to the autobots, before handing Prime another list of energon mine locations.

"Thank you. Be safe Soundwave." Optimus said.

"I will." I said, then transformed and flew off to Breakdown.

I saw breakdown standing by the side of the road and landed near him.

"Alright Soundwave, what the frag was that, and don't give me any of that slag about being mute. I may not be the smartest mech but I'm more perceptive than anybot thinks." Breakdown said as he transformed.

I was silent for a moment, thinking about what to do. After a minute I made my decision and retracted my visor and began to speak, Breakdown's optics widened as he took a step back at what I did.

"Breakdown, you and Knockout are the closest thing to friends I have. I do not wish to see you hurt, so I have had at least one of my symbiots ensuring your safety. Laserbeak saw you get hauled off by MECH, and I have seen what they did to a few vehicons. 'Breakdown... is on his own' is all Megatron had to say about you because he's been corrupted by dark energon. Starscream wants to use you for his own gain to overthrow Megatron. I am the only one who did this because it was the right thing to do."

Breakdown was silent, his optics dimming in thought.

"...You only did that 'cause you consider me and Knockout friends?" He finally said, looking straight into my optics.

"...Indeed." I replied.

Breakdown turned around and started walking away. "Thats all I needed to hear. Thanks for getting me outta there with all my parts." He transformed and drove away.

I watched him drive off as Laserbeak perched on my shoulder, and I gave her a scratch on her head.

"Was doing that the right thing sir?" She asked.

"I hope so Laserbeak. I hope so."

Operation: MECH part 2
A group of four men stalked through the woods, three masked, one not. All with advanced weaponry, with only one goal in mind. Take cybertronian biology and repurpose it for their own means. MECH.

"Suppression fire only, we take this one alive." Silus ordered.

They made their way through the woods, their advanced equipment giving them an edge. A whoosh sounded from behind them, causing all of them to snap their weapons to the sound. Silus then snapped to the left and fired off a shot, illuminating a flash of something large and black. One of the grunts fired off a shot as well, just barely missing the cybertronian they were hunting. Another one fired, missing and destroying a downed tree.

With their target fleeing, they gave chase, tracking the cybertronian to a small ravine. They stopped at the edge, and Silus clicked a few buttons on his goggles. On his Hud, it showed him that the target had entered into what looked to be its lair.

"Tight formation." He said, then they jumped down.

They traveled through the ravine, bypassing large unnaturally sized spider webs. The target on Silus' Hud disappeared, and he stopped. Suddenly, the three men behind him were ensnared in a trap. Silus felt small pebbles hit his face, and he spun around and fired up at the cybertronian. The femme merely picked him up by the weapon, crushing it, and threw him to a wall, quickly firing a web shot at him. The Arachnicon approached Silus, then spoke.

"Don't tell me MECH never considered that open channel distress signal from an injured Decepticon might be a trap?" Airachnid asked.

"I'll bear that in mind next time." Silus responded.

Airachnid chuckled. "Next time? Decepticon radio chatter is all the buzz about what you attempted on poor Breakdown, and the five troopers on patrol that went missing. As an ex-con myself, I should really eviscerate you for that. But two old acquaintances and their nasty little human destroyed my ship and skinned my knee. I mean to pay them back in kind, all of them. You see, I make it in and out of places most Decepticons can't, but I'm still learning to navigate this planet."

"What's in it for MECH?" Silus asked.

"I'll let you live. And since you came to collect a - Transformer, was it? - I'll throw it whatever's left of Arcee after I've broken her. Plus, whenever I rid myself of Soundwave you can have him too, He's never been a normal mech after all."

After a moment, Silus spoke. "Seems we have a deal, Spiderbot."

"Call me Airachnid." She said, grinning as she cut him loose.

Now free, Silus could see that Airachnid was damaged. She was missing a leg, and there was a stub where it used to be, like it was growing back. Her paint was scratched and had completely worn off in a few places. He knew that was the reason that she wanted to align with MECH, she was injured and needed spare parts, so came to the natives for help. Silus made a quick note to himself to keep a close eye on his temporary ally, should she try to cross him.

Since the events of Predatory, I had wracked my processor to plan out the butterflies that would happen now that Airachnid knows about me siding with the autobots. I knew she was a sadistic glitch, and I couldn't allow her to make contact with the Decepticons. So, I came up with the only logical conclusion. Airachnid must perish.

It had been a few days since Breakdown was rescued, and discourse had been brewing among the resident medics. Thanks to me, Knockout was made aware of Megatron's decision to abandon Breakdown on MECH's operating table, and my leaving of the Decepticons when the need arose. It took both Breakdown and I both to restrain him while he ranted and cursed at our leader, otherwise he would have tried to hack him apart with his saws, which would end badly for Knockout alone.

"THAT DARK ENERGON ADDICTED SLAGHEAP!" Knockout had had screamed at one point. Thank Primus I can edit the footage from the cameras at will.

Eventually he managed to calm himself down enough to begin fussing over the scratch marks from where we held him, so we let him go so he could grab a buffer. After a few minutes of listening to Knockout mutter to himself, Breakdown spoke.

"Not sure about you Soundwave, but I'm ready to quit the cons. I've been loyal to the Decepticon cause for Primus knows how long at this point, and Megatron just throws me away like that? Slag it all!" He said, smashing his fists on a medical berth.

"I swear if the opportunity arises, I'm going rogue and never coming back. See how they like it if no one's around to patch them up besides the medical drones." Knockout muttered as he finished up buffing himself back to his usual shine.

"Soundwave, why did you hide from Starscream anyway?" Breakdown asked.

"How would it look if the third in command of the Decepticons was standing amongst autobots?" I answered with my own question.

"Right."

"I still can't believe you can actually speak, that's the sort of thing you tell your primary physician." Knockout said.

"You aren't my primary physician Knockout." I replied.

"Who the frag is then?"

"Hook. But at this point in time likely Ratchet."

Knockout grumbled and crossed his arms. After a few minutes of us straightening things in the medical bay out after his outburst, he spoke again.

"So... Where have you been disappearing to, anyway. I know that you leave the Nemesis a lot more than you used to. Are you spending time with the autobots or something?" Knockout asked.

"...Surveillance and building a base of my own." I responded after a few seconds.

"...So, you're planning on leaving the Decepticons too? Great, we can all go together then."

"Are you implying I'm going to share my base with you?"

"Um... Yes..."

I gave off a deep vent. "Fine, you may retreat to my base at the next opportunity." Knockout gave me a smug grin at that.

After we finished cleaning up the med bay, I decided to go back to the Harbinger to check on the synth-en production levels. After I had arrived at my base, I suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of fear and pain through my symbiot bond, but all of them were in my chest.

'AUHG! ...What was that sir!?' Laserbeak asked through my bond.

'I haven't felt pain like that since we lost Buzzsaw...' Ravage said.

'Arcee... It has to be her; Remember how I gave her that symbiot comm relay? Something must be wrong if she's reaching out to us.' I thought.

In my mind I already knew what was wrong. Arcee had tried to comm the autobots, which meant that Jack's mom had finally been kidnapped by MECH. I couldn't believe that Crisscross happens this close after Operation: Breakdown, I thought I'd have more time. So, I quickly ran inside and grabbed the Resonance Blaster and attached it to my arm. With my symbiots all in check in their hold, I transformed and drove through the ground bridge to Jasper, Nevada.

I spent 5 minutes driving through the -still odd to me- empty streets, following the trail of the symbiot relay.

I finally spotted them driving towards the industrial district and followed them but hung back to keep myself off of MECH's radar. They soon drove into a cement plant, and I transformed to root mode and ejected Laserbeak, who stealthily flew to the warehouse Arcee drove into. She deployed her surveillance camera, and the feed began just as Arcee transformed to face Airachnid. I saw that Jack had his concealed blaster still on his arm. He had his hand in the position to activate it but wasn't using it yet so he wouldn't give his edge away.

"Airachnid!" Arcee said.

She shot her webs at Arcee, binding her arms.

"What's she doing here!?" Jack shouted as Airachnid and the MECH soldiers closed in.

"Help them, please. They're human like you! You can't let Airachnid-" Arcee pleaded but Silus interrupted her.

"A few human lives are a small price to pay for a miracle of science like yourself." He said, then nodded to the soldier on his left, who fired a stunner round at Arcee, sending her to the ground.

"You and I will have a private session later. Promise." Airachnid said.

She approached Jack and spoke again.

"I'm still learning about humankind, but one thing is clear to me my dear Jack. You humans care deeply about family. Therefore, the sweetest revenge I could possibly devise, would be to make you watch as I tear your family apart."

"If you hurt my mother-"

"You remember how much I enjoy sport, don't you Jack? So, I'll give you the opportunity to save your mother. I've stashed her close by. If you can rescue her before the stroke of twelve, I will let both of you go unharmed. Deal?"

"And if I can't?"

"What do you think?"

Jack tried pleading with Silus, but eventually ran outside to find his mother.

"And what about this 'Soundwave' you talked about?" Silus asked after he left.

"I will kill him myself, but his symbiots will die first, just to give him that much more trauma. No one makes a fool out of me by harassing me in combat with minicons." Airachnid growled, before leaving.

Laserbeak ended the feed and flew back to me. Once she was in my hold again, I crept my way into the factory, one of my blasters out. I heard Jack yell for his mom, and following the noise, I saw June webbed up on a catwalk, and Jack climbing up a ladder to reach her.

I snuck my way over to the silo and leveled my blaster at Airachnid.

"I beat your deadline!" Jack shouted.

"Afraid not, my dear Jack. The task wasn't for you to find your mother by midnight, you had to rescue her." Airachnid said as my internal clock hit twelve. "And times up. Now," She webbed his arm to the floor of the catwalk. "Take a seat, sit back, and enjoy the horror show."

I couldn't shoot at Airachnid yet, she was too close to the humans, and I really didn't want to deal with two angry femmes instead of just one.

"You know Jack, she's your mom. Why should I have all the fun? So, you get to choose. Agonizing" She held up her claws, "or excruciating." Her mouthplate opened and some of her acid dripped down onto the catwalk, slicing straight through one of the guardrails, which Jack took advantage of to try and free his arm and blaster.

"Jack, your mother wants to know. Don't leave her dangling." She said.

"You monster! Stop this!" June shouted.

After a few seconds Airachnid spoke again, and I could hear faint gunshots from the other side of the plant. Arcee was free, which meant the spider was about to be squashed.

"Well, Jack, if you won't decide, I guess it's lady's choice." Airachnid said as she went down to June.

Suddenly, we all heard a motorcycle engine, Airachnid moved away from June, and I fired. Airachnid was launched off the silo, straight into the flying kick of Arcee. Jack managed to get his arm out of the webbing and activate his watch blaster, which clicked out around his arm. And set about rescuing his mother and firing off shots at Airachnid as I moved to another position. I saw the rivals staring at each other on a conveyer belt, the whole shot looking just as cinematic as the show I watched was.

"MECH lost Breakdown what were the odds they could hold on to you?" Airachnid sneered.

Airachnid jumped at Arcee, who jumped, but was brought back down by her three extra legs. Arcee was knocked back down the conveyer, and ran back to Airachnid, delivering a three his combo on her, knocking her off the belt. Their fight eventually landed on the ground, then up to the silos where the humans were while they continued trading blows. Airachnid got even angrier at her and fired off wildly, hitting the catwalk that Jack and June were on, breaking its supports and almost sending Jack to the ground.

Arcee and Airachnid continued to fight, always anticipating each other's moves. They had been fighting for so long with each other that they knew exactly how to fight each other. Eventually, Arcee did another flying kick, sending Airachnid down into a cement trough. Arcee and Jack glanced at each other, a plan forming in their minds. Arcee pushed the cement pipe over Airachnid, and Jack pulled a lever on the control box. Airachnid ended up covered in a lot more cement than what was in the show, and she popped out and froze within it. June called for Jack, and Arcee headed towards her.

"Hang on June." Arcee said as she started to climb.

Suddenly, Airachnid's webs ensnared Arcee, who went plummeting back to the ground, stuck to it. Airachnid laughed as she aimed her blasters at Arcee, but then spotlights were shined on her. Airachnid looked up to see three helicopters, who opened fire on her with their machine guns. I took my chance, leveled my blaster, dialed up the power to maximum, and fired center mass at Airachnid. The shot streaked through the air in its bright purple color, hitting the spider in the side, sending her flying through the cement truck beside her, and the scaffolding beside it.

I walked over to Arcee and helped her get out of the webbing, then we walked over to where Airachnid lay. When we got to her, my optics widened in shock, I guess when dialed to maximum astromag cannons do a lot of damage. Airachnid was almost annihilated. Her entire left side was destroyed, my shot had over-penned her, tearing away a large amount of her midsection, plus her left arm, which lay a couple dozen feet away. All of her spider legs were gone, and I spotted one embedded in a pickup fifty feet away.

"I ne-e-ever expected it to end-end-end like this-s-s-s." Airachnid choked out, her vocalizer staticky and skipping. "Oh well... You, know wha-t-t-t I said, 'When-n-n-n you exting-g-guish my spark-k, make it hurt-t-t-t-t-t."

"You don't deserve a slow death for all you've done." Arcee said.

She raised her blaster, dialed it up to max and fired point blank at Airachnid, straight at her chest. The shot almost over-penned like mine, but detonated her chest, blowing her plating outwards, sending a few pieces of her bouncing off our frames. Her optics glow faded, and she slumped over, small energon fires burning on her plating. A fitting end for her, killed by the very femme she tortured with her mere memories for millennia.

Arcee was silent for a while, just staring at her corpse, and I gently set my hand on her shoulder, pulled her into a one-armed hug, and led her away.

"Are you going to be ok Arcee?" I asked her.

"I think so. It feels like a massive weight's been lifted off of me." She said after a moment. "At least maybe now I can get some peace of mind knowing she can't hurt anyone anymore."

"Indeed. I have seen footage of Airachnid's... methods. She was a monster. But enough of all this sadness, I believe you have a mother to meet."

Arcee looked at me, then widened her optics slightly, "Oh. Yeah. Right."

We walked for a minute or so, and we got to the humans just as a soldier walked up to agent Fowler.

"Agent Fowler." I heard the soldier say.

"Let me guess, without a trace." He replied.

"We were unable to secure the body of the Decepticon either."

"Thats not good." Fowler said, walking away to call his boss to report.

June looked over at us. "And she would be your..."

"Motorcycle, guardian, Autobot, friend." Jack said as Arcee kneeled next to him.

"Call me Arcee." She greeted.

"Thank you for protecting my son, Arcee." June replied. She then looked at me. "Who are you?"

I retracted my visor and kneeled. "I am Soundwave, former Decepticon, now double agent for the Autobots." I ejected my symbiots.

"I'm Rumble." He shook her hand.

"Ravage." He nodded to her.

"Laserbeak." She hopped forward and June scratched under her chin.

"These are my symbiots, my children, I suppose you could call them." I said.

"Thank you for rescuing us from them." June responded.

"It was your son that braved the unknown to rescue you from MECH's clutches. I am thankful that he remembers to wear the watch I made for them all."

"Wait that was you?"

"Indeed, in fact." I reached into my subspace and pulled out the final watch and gave it to her. "I have been saving this one for if any others came into the circle. You humans need protection, after all."

She attached it to her wrist. "Maybe this can stop me from being kidnapped again."

"Hey, mom?" June looked at Jack. "I think it's time for that ride you once made me promise." He said with a grin.

The next day, I had received a message to come to the autobot base. When I walked through the ground bridge, the last thing I expected was for everyone to be in ceremonial positions. Including agent Fowler, June and the kids.

"Soundwave, step forward and eject your minicons." Optimus said.

I did as he said, and my symbiots landed beside me as I walked over to Optimus.

"Kneel." Prime said, and I and my symbiots kneeled. "For many millennia, we have endured countless battles. We have lost comrades close to us, and entire worlds have been swallowed by our war. We have lost our very home to the fight that consumed it. But here we stand, at the dawning of a new era, for the third in command of the decepticons has seen the error of his and Megatron's ways and has joined us to fight against him. By the power and authority vested in me by the Matrix of Leadership, a piece of our very god's spark," Optimus activated one of his swords and tapped my shoulders and then my symbiots. "I officially pronounce you a member of the autobots. Till all are one."

As my symbiots and I stood up, all the autobots and humans cheered for me. I guess it's official now, I'm an Autobot. After that, we celebrated my symbiots and I's inclusion to their faction. That included something that the old Soundwave hadn't done since the war began, lobbing.

"Comin' at ya 'Wave!" Wheeljack said as he threw the ball at me.

I caught it, sliding back a few feet, and threw it at Bulkhead, who threw it at Cliffjumper, and it continued like that. After the game ended, I spotted Ravage getting a belly rub by Miko and saw Rumble snap a photo of it to annoy him with when he gets on his nerves, and Laserbeak next to Raf, who was trying to decode the symbiot bond language. I spotted Optimus and Elita at the edge of the party and walked over to them.

"I did not have the chance to say it Orion but thank you for this." I said.

"The honor is all mine Soundwave." He replied formally.

Elita scoffed and flicked his audial fin. "What he means to say is he's overjoyed to have you with us. It's not every cycle that a friend as old as you comes back."

"Are you calling me old, Ariel?" I asked crossing my arms and raising an eye ridge.

After a moment we laughed.

"This is nice." I said after a few minutes of watching the others.

Elita put her hand on my shoulder. "It's better now that we have you with us."

"I only wish Megatronus was here as well." Optimus murmured, and I patted his shoulder.

"You and I both know Orion, Megatronus is gone, only Megatron remains." I said.

Optimus looked saddened for a moment, clearly mourning his old friend.

"Till all are one, Optimus." I said.
