You are a god of dreams that will take the world's inhabitants and put them into a game-like dream. You will have a certain amount of power generated by dreamers every time they dream and you can use this to develop the game.
The game is a world filled with dungeons. The dreamers are to delve into the dungeons for entertainment, as you will not just take their power without giving something back. It also happens to be so that when a dreamer makes an achievement of some kind, you gain more power than normal.
You have 10 dreamers at the start, these dreamers can give other people they know the ability to enter this game when they sleep. The more entertaining the dungeon, the more likely they are to do this. 1 dreamer makes 1 power a day.
You have 10 power and it's time to design the beginnings of your first floor of your first dungeon.
Choose your first creature(First design is free, recommend under or at 2 points for first creature.)(Note: They respawn every day.):
[]Horned rabbits(Costs 1 point to create 3)(G rank): The weakest monster in existence, a simple rabbit with a horn on its head. It is faster than normal rabbits however they don't use this to escape but instead to fight opponents. A mistake in most cases. Danger rating: 1
Rewards: 2 experience points and 0-1 copper coins.
[]Starving lone wolf(Costs 2 points to create 1)(G rank): A lone wolf that has had some unsuccessful hunts, it seems to lack the basic instincts that wolves employ to hunt. If a dreamer could hunt this creature without injury, it would be a good indicator to their fighting potential. Danger rating: 3
Rewards: 10 experience points and 2-4 copper coins.
[]Stone tusk boar(Costs 3 points to create 1)(G rank): A boar with tusks that resemble stone. It is considered the apex of G rank monsters, as the boar's tusks can pierce through most G rank armor. Its charging ability is quite dangerous as well for new dreamers, so it's recommended to team up to defeat it. Danger rating: 5.
Rewards: 20 experience points and 6-8 copper coins.
[]Write in?(Should be made similar to those above.)
Now for the village that these dreamers shall reside. The basic houses and layout has already been made, but there's no NPCs.
What is the village's first NPC? Choose 1(They come with quests and dreamers can sell them things.):
[]An old farmer: This old man is a farmer who wants the dreamers to kill the local monsters that exist inside the dungeon. He can teach the players basic skinning skills as well as how to cook. Quests(Will generate other quests based on needs):
How to cook(G rank quest): The old farmer will teach you how to cook if you bring him some meat. Reward: Basic cooking skill and +10 Xp.
[]An old blacksmith: This old man is a blacksmith who wants the dreamers to bring him various monster bones and metals from the dungeon. He can teach the players how to identify materials and will create weapons or armor from the various monsters that they bring back. Quests(Will generate other quests based on needs):
How to identify items(G rank quest): The old blacksmith will teach you how to identify materials and their quality, but only if you bring back a material yourself. Reward: Basic identify skill and +10 Xp.
[]A young hunter: This young woman is a hunter who wants the dreamers to hunt various monsters that exist inside the dungeon. She can teach the dreamers basic skinning skills as well as basic tracking skills. Quests(Will generate other quests based on needs):
Hunt some prey(G rank quest): The hunter wishes for you to hunt a monster and in exchange will teach you how to track a monster. Reward: Basic tracking skill and +10 Xp.
[]Write in?(Should be made similar to those above.)
Ok then! So the quest is basically the dream god(us) following and watching the dreamers while growing our dream world/dungeon. We will be able to reward dreamers for free if they make an achievement, like for example, taking down a stone tusk boar by themselves.
These achievements are based on what the dreamer is expected to be capable of and then going beyond it. These rewards can be as simple as spawning in an item for defeating that monster or can be something more.
Final thing! Your first dungeon is gonna be a forest. Just remember that when your writing in your first monster(If you write in one).
Also for lower energy monsters like the rabbits, I'm thinking about setting their respawn rate at every two hours, instead of 24. I got the idea that the higher the energy the monster has, the longer their respawn timer.
Doing this as the rabbits are low Xp and the players would most likely kill them all within 1-2 hours.

[x] Plan Simple
-[x] Horned rabbits
-[x] An old farmer
[X] Plan: Tired Alchemist
-[X] A Tired Alchemist: A tired young alchemist wearing a oversized coat and cloak that envelopes them such that one might think no one's under it if it wasn't for seeing their gloved hands when they don't just grab with their hands covered by sleeves, hair and glasses seen under their hood. As a reward gives cures for status effects.
Ten people, that's the current crop. I've made the framework of this place, which cost me a lot of energy but the results and potential were well worth it. I have a small town, a village really, that has about 12 buildings and 2 big areas of importance. That would be the location of my first NPC, the old farmer, and an open area that's made for players to do whatever they want, whether practice skills or sell loot to others.
Another important place, that wasn't in town but right outside it to the west, was the dungeon. It would be the first source of entertainment for them and possibly me. It was a small forest about a half mile in size, completely separate from its surroundings. Inside was about 30 Horned rabbits, ready to fight and probably die.
Now some others might wonder why humans would want to put their lives in danger to fight monsters for fun. I'll ignore the obvious 'It's human nature John' and say that pain as a sensation is heavily suppressed for one. For two I've made sure through previous dreaming to let them know that they won't die if they fight and that this is entirely optional.
It also helps that before they come into the world they do a small tutorial of sorts. It's basically there to find out which weapon they are good at, 3 options for people who've never fought before, in other words weapons that you can just swing and do ok with, regardless of previous experience. A club, a dagger, and a sword. The sword has a high skill ceiling but it's not like the basics of swinging a sword are hard to learn.
There's a training dummy that will test the aptitude for the weapons and recommend a weapon to them. I've also added a small feature to give them a weapon if it's found they have real world experience. Out of the 10 people taking the tutorial only two people got a different weapon. Which would be a sledgehammer for this construction worker, the other being a bow and arrow for this policewoman who goes hunting a lot.
Oh! Looks like they've already made it past the tutorial while I was thinking to myself. One of them is already making their way away from the old farmer and going towards the dungeon, it's the woman with a bow. Laura POV:
How the hell is this real? I just went to sleep, than found myself in a white room with a training dummy, it even talked! It described something about fighting in a dungeon, which it immediately said afterwards that I wouldn't actually die fighting and that this was just entertainment while I dreamed.
I couldn't get the damn thing to tell me anything else, so I decided to go along with it, which resulted in me getting a bow and arrow.
'Status'
Name: Laura Becker Age: 24 Real life job: Police officer Level: 1(0/20 Xp) Stats:
Strength: Rank G(Lvl 1) Agility: Rank G(Lvl 1) Stamina: Rank G(Lvl 1) Intelligence: Rank G(Lvl 1) Social: Rank G(Lvl 1) Traits:
Hunting with dad(Lvl 1): When your dad took you out to hunt, he taught you everything he knew. Effect: User knows how to work a bow and arrow, knows how to make one better than the one given, and hunting rolls gain +10. Equipment:
Basic bow and arrow(G rank): A bow and arrow, a rare starting weapon. Effect: None.
The training dummy said each rank would have a certain amount of levels that needed to be upgraded, the only way to upgrade my stats the next level was to spend points from leveling up. G rank has 5 levels, so I bet I could get one of my stats to F- rank without too much effort.
Granted I don't know what's in this apparent dungeon, all that rickety old man said was to grab some meat and come back so he could teach me how to cook.
Then I see it as soon as I walked out of town, the surrounding grasslands were interrupted by a small forest. It looked perfectly normal, but that's the dungeon.
20 minutes later… Dream god POV:
Hmmm seems I went too easy on them. They are internally complaining not only about how easy it is, but also because there's basically no reward to this! The rabbits only drop a copper coin at most with 2 Xp, meaning they have to grind these low value rabbits that are becoming increasingly rare to find.
Hidden roll reveal!
Player satisfaction!(-20 due to bare framework and no difficult monsters.): 35-20= 15! Players are disappointed!
The most someone has killed is… 7? Oh it's the woman with the bow, her name is Laura I think. She has basically been shooting the rabbits, killing them in one shot. She seems a tad bit bored.
Just then she spotted a rabbit from about 150 feet away, hidden in the grass. How did she see that? She simply raises her bow-wait that bow is meant for 80 feet at best, it's really bad there's no way she can-
Hidden roll reveal!
Does she make the shot? Dc 50: 87!
Fwip I watch as the arrow seems to perfectly glide through the air, almost struggling near the end to make the distance, then it hits the rabbit perfectly killing it. The arrow went right in the middle of its body. Even she seems to be surprised that she made it.
Achievement made! Rating: G rank! Good feat!
3 power generated for reward!
Oh right! I did put the feature in here, what could I-wait a minute. Would that count as a reward? It would be rewarding to face a more powerful opponent right?
Make a reward for player Laura, 3 power:
[]Horned rabbit squire(Costs 3 power)(Top tier G rank opponent): The horned rabbit squire is on the tip of becoming a horned rabbit knight, so close to ranking up and has vowed to protect his fellow rabbits. He has come for Laura to avenge his fallen brothers! Effect: Horned rabbit will give the surrounding players a good challenge! All surrounding rabbits will band together in small groups, trying to make it to the squire to both protect him, and to fight against the players. Chance to negate dissatisfaction malus.
[]Lone wolf: Stalks players(Costs 3 power)(Near top tier G rank opponent): A lone wolf will start stalking Laura, if the wolf sees other players it will spilt off from Laura to attack them. This wolf sees Laura as a challenge, something to test its metal against. If the lone wolf goes 10 minutes of stalking Laura without being noticed or splitting off, the lone wolf will attack Laura. Effect: Lone wolf will give the surrounding players a good challenge! The lone wolf, if killed by Laura, will drop an item. Chance to negate dissatisfaction malus. Laura could get a good reward.
[]Write in?(I really recommend a monster, if it wasn't for the achievement roll working out, I'd have to call the first day a complete bust.) Welp! I made a lot of hidden rolls, let me tell ya, this first day was gonna suck if it wasn't for that achievement roll. I rolled for how many unique people(We got 2), I rolled to see how the hunting went for everyone(It's going bad for everyone besides Laura.), and than I rolled satisfaction with a malus that went pretty bad.
The original malus, was -10 for just being the framework. Than we had a bunch of hunting rolls gone bad and an easy monster, so I added another -10 due to that.
Lone wolf: Stalks players wins with 5 votes total.
I might as well give the stats of the lone wolf.
Lone wolf(Reward entity)(Near top tier G rank monster):
Stats:
Strength: Rank G(Lvl 4)
Agility: Rank G(Lvl 5)
Stamina: Rank G(Lvl 3)
Intelligence: Rank G(Lvl 3)
Social: Rank G(Lvl 2)
Traits:
Pride(Lvl 2): The pride of a creature that has undergone constant training, trials of fire, and that has never lost a prey it has chased has led to this lone wolf to understand one thing. Do not stop when you engage, do not run away, and never let your prey become predator. Effect: When the lone wolf engages its target, it is unwilling to backdown or run away. Mental effects on the lone wolf have a lesser effect. Skills:
Stalk(F- rank: Lvl 6): This lone wolf has used stealth to such a degree that unless its prey has fellow prey around it to watch for him, he will go undetected. Only prey with good instincts could hope to detect him. Effect: Stealth rolls when hunting a single prey that is completely alone are doubled. When launching an attack after using stalk to get within striking range, double damage dealt. Note: Must be unnoticed when using stalk for double damage to be dealt.
As you can see this guy is quite the foe. Its still possible for Laura to kill him, if only due to the fact that she has a 10 minute time limit that can be reset if she encounters others, aka she has 10 minutes to not only discover the lone wolf but also find a way to kill it. Honestly her best shot is to discover it, lead it to someone else, than when it attacks that person, join in the fight from afar with your bow and try to injure it enough that the rest of the fight won't be that bad.

[X] The Dancing Plague: The rabbits around laura have been infected with a magical song, jumping and dancing around like mad and spewing small solid musical notes. Effect: The rabbits around Laura start moving around at high speeds in a rhythmic manner, making fighting back against them difficult, but if you successfully figure out their patterns it'll make things a bit easier, if you collect enough of the notes you can craft them into a music themed weapon
Damn I was daydreaming about dancing rabbits, focus! Ok so a lone wolf that hunts her, kills those near her, and if 10 minutes go by without her encountering others, it attacks her.
The most basic idea of this, is that she will notice a player nearby fighting and dying, just to show up to see nothing. Than she will observe her surroundings more often, hopefully she will discover the lone wolf, than devise a plan to deal with it. Of course she could just panic, immediately attacking the wolf when its so close, getting herself killed.
Hopefully that's not the case, hopefully she will have fun with this, and maybe she will ace this, getting a good reward. Please let this work.
8 minutes later… Laura POV:
You know, when I made that shot on that rabbit, I was assuming I'd get a reward. Nothing much, maybe some more Xp, some extra copper coins, or possibly an item. Instead of any of that, I have now realized that something is stalking me.
I'm not sure what, when, or where, but I know something is stalking me. It was very subtle, something I wouldn't have noticed if not for a horned rabbit running away from me. I shot it all the same but it was the way it ran from me. It was on my right and started running to my left, I thought it was coming to me but it kept going right past me.
It didn't fight me which hadn't happened with the rabbits, it didn't run away from me directly instead running in my direction going past me, and finally something that confirmed it for me, was when I was noticing all this, I could feel my skin getting goosebumps. So I started walking away from the center of the forest, at my normal pace so as to not alert whatever this thing was.
Hidden roll revealed: She's failed like 8 checks and the encounter people roll has failed 8 times also. I'm in disbelief.
I was planning on two things, first was to find one more rabbit. I've killed about 9 of them and need one more to level up. I could then use the points from leveling up, which was about 3 points, to level up my stats. The training dummy said that while in G rank, the stats only required one point to increase their level. My plan was to get my agility as high as it could go because strength wouldn't help with a bow, especially a bow like this that felt as if it would snap every time I drew it.
Second was to find another person. Whatever was following me could probably kill me pretty easily, so if I could use another person as bait, so that I could run or put an arrow in the thing, then my odds of survival increase by a lot.
30 seconds until lone wolf strikes… final roll being made.
Does she find anyone? Dc 65: 62! Bare miss. There's someone near, however they are not within seeing distance.
Does she find a rabbit? Dc 50: 93+10= 103! She finds a rabbit! Good position!
There's no one here, they must have all gone to turn in their quests as soon as they got a rabbit! I was the only one hunting for Xp, crap. Than I see my tiny fluff ball savior, it was standing right next to a tree. Ok that might work, if I could use the tree as a barrier so that whatever's behind me won't fight me on open terrain. That would be the death of me, just letting it rush me without being able to do anything.
I aimed at the rabbit, I could practically feel the thing behind me, probably 5 feet away at most. God was I about to play ring around the rosie with it? Fwip I shot and killed the rabbit, walking leisurely towards it to grab it, like I've done the past 3 times since its been following me.
I leaned down, but also got my legs ready to jump to the side, instead of picking the rabbit up I called forth my status and put all 3 points into agility. It's level 4 now, which hopefully will save me.
Hidden roll reveal!
Does she do it, does she dodge? Lone wolf roll vs Laura roll, lone wolf has advantage of +10 due to agility rank difference: 57+10= 67! Vs 98+10(Hunting rolls gain +10)= 108! Crit! 63+10(Hunting rolls gain +10)= 73! Total: 181! Difference of 114! She dodges, recoverers, and shoots an arrow! Arrow is automatically a crit!
Then I felt it, within my soul I could feel the tension in the air dissipate for a moment, so I jumped with all I could to the side, much faster than I could have before. I landed skidding to a stop with an arrow in my bow, which I quickly aimed at the giant wolf that was up against the tree, glaring at me.
Fwip I let the arrow go and started running.
Dream god POV:
How the hell did she do that! That was some badassery you'd only see in movies! Which police academy trained her!?
The arrow she fired had managed to hit the wolf in its eye, causing it to howl. Which alerted basically everyone in the forest, all 5 of them. 4 of them had gone back to turn in the quest, one of them having done so earlier and focusing on cooking the rabbit meat.
Laura was currently running to the edge of the forest dungeon, the whole place wasn't that big in the first place so she should get out of the forest pretty soon. Than she took a sharp left behind a tree, just to keep running on the edge. Oh she wants to kill this thing instead of running away, but she's still leaving a place to escape if need be.
A few moments later the wolf was about 3 feet behind her, still superior in speed, it jumped towards her back, but somehow she just quickly crouched before backing up while the wolf went right over her head. She nocked another arrow shooting it in its back, than turned around to run again.
The players of the forest were looking in the original area where the wolf howled, somehow completely avoiding her yet again. Does she have bad luck or something? That wolf still has-
Lone wolf:
Wounds: 2/8
-that's not that much actually. She could probably kill it with one more arrow, each arrow does about… 2 damage? That hit in the eye earlier doubled that, so it should be about 2 damage. She than all of sudden slowed her running before stopping, nocking another arrow, and aiming it at the wolf behind her, only 7 feet away.
Hidden roll revealed!
Does she make the final shot? Dc 50: 42+10(Hunting rolls gain +10)= 52! Hit!
As the wolf jumped she managed to shoot one more arrow into it, then it crashed into her. Thankfully dead. Right, now I have to give a reward to them, since I gave them a challenge I can probably do more than a 3 power reward, probably a rough 4 power worth? So glad I made the system like this, just free powe-
"HELL YES!" Oh she's excited! Looking closer her face was beat red(Probably due to running all that distance with low stamina), her back was soaked in sweat(Once out of fear but now out of excitement), and she has a big dumb smile on her face. Looking a bit closer at her thoughts she's thanking her… dad I'm assuming, saying she needs to get him in here. That he'd love it.
Well that makes me feel much better! I'm the god of dreams not nightmares, so when I saw her being chased, I did feel a bit bad. But now shes happy as can be! Speaking of nightmares and family, I wonder if my sister wants to get in on this? She would love being able to terrify people, then rewarding them!
Wait how much Xp did she get even?
Laura
Level: 2(Xp 18/40)
That's a good amount, a whole 18 Xp, although for all that amazing dodging she did, she deserves way more than that. Choose 1 reward(Must be an item, material, or skill):
[]Stalk(G rank skill: Lvl 1): The mighty lone wolf of this forest used this skill, perhaps you can go farther with it than they could? Effect: When stalking a single prey, that's alone, gain +20 to stealth rolls. When attacking the prey while unseen, deal an additional 3+20% total damage. Note: Must have stalked prey for over 2 minutes to activate additional total damage. Later levels of this skill will have increased damage proportional to the amount of time prey is stalked.
[]Lone wolf hood(F- rank: Low tier): The lone wolf has gifted this hood power, as it has recognized its prey as predator. It wishes the predator good hunting. Effect: Agility is increased by 2 levels unless at F rank(Cannot level up if agility stat is at the F rank tier), the user blends into their surroundings better the more they spend time in said environment(Gains stealth rolls bonus up to +30 at max.), and gain +5 defense.
[]Write in?(You have about 4 power to do this with. I'll tell you if it's too much. If you want, you can split it into two separate rewards.) Speaking of family, you had the thought that your sister would enjoy making the occasional monster to terrify your dreamers. She makes power differently from you, as she is a goddess of nightmares, even if she has dream blood in her, she gets power from dreamers of any kind being terrified or even just facing adversity that gets their heart going(The latter being that dream blood).
While you could offer this later, when you have more to offer and actually have more than a framework, your sister somehow knew you were debating this and came to offer a deal or two. Omnipotence how does she do that!
What deals do you take, if any?:
[]Hey bro, heard you needed a monster?: She practically walked in while I was debating this, she walked in as soon as I thought about asking her for a monster! How!?!? Offer: Your sister has offered to make some monsters for you, which you can choose 1 from every 3 days or can choose to not choose any at all. In exchange she asks that 90% of the power generated by said monsters go towards her and since you can't generate power besides when the dreamers enter the dream or achieving a feat, this could act as an extra source of power without you losing anything. Note: Basically you lose nothing, you don't have to choose a monster or use it if you don't want to, however your sister is doing this as an opening deal to get a piece of the regenerating pie that you have. Granted this deal is like adding whip cream to said pie.
[]I know that you need help with this idiotic shtick you have goin-wait hold on!: She said this after the first offer, which when you were about to get mad, said I didn't have to do anything. When asked, she said she wasn't entirely confident in this whole 'Dream dungeon shtick' working out. So she says she will simply give me some 'followers that must redeem themselves' as both help for my dream world and so she can rid herself of this trash. Although she didn't say the latter part, but I can tell! Offer: Your sister has offered 3 followers of hers to act as NPCs(NPCs of this caliber cost around 10-25 power normally), in exchange for a promise that I will offer her more deals in the future. Note: Basically you get some followers/NPCs that want to repent so that they can be accepted by their goddess again. In exchange your sister asks that you get your dream world to a higher tier with more worth and promise to make some deals with her when you do. She's dumping useful trash on you out of pity.
[]None: You tell her that you can't accept any deals right now.
Ok than, so I'd like to explain something really quickly. The wolf lost accuracy due to the eye being shot out, which let Laura dodge the second attack. That malus from the crit saved her, as I can tell you right now. Stamina rank G(Lvl 1) for players means they have 3 wounds/Hp(Each lvl for G rank gives +2, players have 1 Hp at base). Meaning with the wolf having such high strength she would be one shotted if it hit her at any point in time. Which was the idea behind it.
It was meant for Laura to attack it from afar as it one shots other player, giving her some time to wound it or possibly get the surrounding players to gang up on the low health wolf. Instead she failed about 16 rolls, 8 were detection checks, the other 8 was encountering other players. Each failed roll a minute would pass by. Than despite all this, she managed to roll JUST WELL ENOUGH to find a couple more rabbits to level up.
Than when she dodged, she crit with a 110+ difference, so I allowed an arrow to be shot and crit automatically, NOT REALISING THIS WOULD SAVE HER LATER ON, than she made a good roll for dodging the wolf's attack, and the wolf made a roll that was higher than hers BUT the malus of -10 let her dodge. She than rolled a Dc of 65 to quickly shoot an arrow at the wolf, which worked, I than rolled for escape which she passed also allowing her to outrun the wolf for a bit. She failed the encounter people roll, again, before barely I MEAN BARELY PASSING THE FINAL SHOT which let her kill the wolf.
Gotta be the most UNLUCKY AND LUCKY CHARACTER I'VE HAD YET!
Sorry for the rant, I'm gonna have to spoiler this huh.
Ok than that was some hero shit, I'm making her dad a war hero or something. I have to, its only fair.
I'm glad you thought it through, besides the freebie that she gave you with the monsters, most if not all deals she gives or most deals from gods in general can backfire on you despite the deal looking amazing with no apparent downside. Even the monsters deal benefits her majorly, except it also benefits you because you can't gain more power from monsters fighting players anyway.
So I'll go ahead and say the backfire of the deal you didn't take. The NPCs/Followers shes giving you are problem children. She doesn't mean she dumping trash on you because their worthless, no because if you took them there would be an occasional accident or occurrence that would happen due to their tendency's that made them in the position of dumping them onto you.
In other words, they are infact worth a lot, the 3 combined are worth about 70-80 in raw power needed to create them. But they are worth less due to the fact that-let me give an example.
The leader of this little group thought that the purpose of their goddess, the goddess of nightmares(There are more than one, but don't tell them that), was the pure intent of causing terror. That's true for certain nightmare gods/goddesses, however our sister due to having dream blood, believes as her purpose that nightmares are to cause trials that once cleared, will reward those with both experience and progression. Our sisters purpose is to give those under her the ability to face their fears and become better for it.
The leader of this group however, thought that her purpose was to cause fear by causing disaster or creating monsters to cause terror and that the only way to prevent this from happening, the only way to keep humans alive while also stopping these disasters, was to cause the fear without killing.
As you can imagine this was a pretty bad misinterpretation and that's exactly what would happen when he became an NPC. He would, at the start ask you what he needed you to do, worship position and all. Than depending on what you said, he'd find a way to misinterpret it and cause a bit of mayhem. Like if you said "Create quests to help the dreamers progress." he would create a quest to kill another player, because he believes for an adventurer/person to progress, they need to get used to killing than being rewarded.
Do I believe any of you thought of even 5% of that? Of any backlash? Nope I'm pretty sure you got incredibly lucky with your decision, which avoided the learning experience I had planned for accepting every deal a god gives you. Good on yall!
Oh also I love the skill stalk, it has so much potential both as a skill and for an archer like Laura. The item was really Op early on, as 1 defense negates 1 damage unless stated otherwise, so ontop of its effects of increasing agility and blending into the surroundings, it was also a really good defense item.
Either way I think the skill stalk was the right option, its useful no matter what stage of the game as long as its leveled up and ranked up. By the way, the way skills level/rank up is how well the user understands the skill and how much they use it. So for future reference you should note the job/personality/trait of a player before giving them a skill, although in this case its perfect due to Laura going hunting all the time.
Last thing! The monster selection will appear on Day 4 for what monsters your sister gives you.

Laura was ecstatic when she was given the skill, then she realized she would have to carry this 180 pound wolf back out of the forest, so she decided to just attempt to skin it on her own. She did a pretty good job, she clearly had some experience although probably not with wolves.
Laura gains wolf bones(G rank), wolf pelt(G rank), wolf meat(Low tier G rank), and wolf fangs(Top tier G rank).
Realizing she couldn't take it all, along with other players discovering her, she decided to just trade some of the materials for copper coins. She wasn't picky on price, she just gave materials for what they gave her, and took what she could carry. This consisted of a single slab of wolf meat, the skull, rib bones, claws, and finally the wolf pelt, altogether weighing about 50 pounds.
The other players were fairly happy as well, as they now knew there were wolves in the forest, also the materials they got should probably be worth something.
Day 1: 5 minutes before end. Note: Each day is 6 hours(For now).
Laura was really close to leveling up again, she turned in the quest for 10 Xp and killed 5 more rabbits for another 10, now sitting at 38/40 Xp. The only reasons she took 4 hours to do so, was one she was trying to level up the stalk skill, which she got to level 2 and another was that she was attempting to turn the ribs of the wolf into arrows.
She made decent progress, the ribs at this point had become 4 arrow shafts, the fangs were going to be the arrow head, and she was even using the sinew to keep them together, but she definitely isn't completing them today. I should probably create an easier way for people like Laura to acquire arrows, the original 30 she had was down to 12, so she still had some but was preparing new ones ahead of time.
Looking at the other players, most were close to leveling up due to turning in the quest, one managed to level up and was strictly hunting rabbits for their meat, trading others the rabbit pelts for the rabbit meat they might have. He was apparently a chef in real life and was cooking rabbit meat to get his cooking skill up.
Hidden roll reveal!
Does he make a dish with an effect? Dc 75: 84! Success! Rabbit meat is low tier G rank material, minor G rank effect.
He then was rewarded by the system that I made, he managed to make a dish with an effect.
Horned rabbit soup(Low tier G rank food): A relatively simple dish, it was made entirely with Horned rabbit meat and bones, the bones were boiled for over 2 hours, with grilled bits of rabbit meat added into it at the end. This dish has surpassed the norm as horned rabbit meat is normally unable to produce ranked dishes alone. Effect: +1 health for 1 hour, regenerate 1 wound every 2 minutes for 1 hour, and on consumption in a non combat situation, regenerate 5 wounds over 3 minutes.
It seems lackluster, but without skills, healing items, or even buffs, this is a great item. Especially when you realize everyone has 3 health right now. The chef, a black man named Marcus, was overjoyed and decided to sell it to those nearby, 2 coppers per bowl.
Wait did he manage to get an achievement for this?
Achievement achieved! Rating: G rank Small feat!
1 power generated for the reward!
Yes, yes he did. Let's see, I can't do anything fancy with 1 power, so I should keep it basic.
Choose 1 reward(Keep it food related):
[]Quality spotter: Food(G rank Lvl 1): You have an excellent eye for spotting the quality of ingredients. You can tell which ingredients will cause a recipe to increase its effects! Effect: Can tell trash, bad, average, good, and excellent quality ingredients from each other up to G rank. Note: Rabbit soup if using an excellent quality rabbit meat will cause the soups effects to increase by an additional 50%. If the ingredient is at trash rank, the soup won't have an effect or even give poisoning.
[]Stall permit: Food(G rank): Can create an official stall for the user to sell his food at. Stall comes with basic cooking gear. Effect: Create a small stall to sell your food at, can hire others to run said stall including NPCs or players, and when cooking at the stall, gain 1 Xp for every 3 dishes made. When a dish is made at G rank or above gain +1 Xp.
[]Write in?(Got 1 power and must be food related.)
Day 1: End!
Rolling for new dreamers! 1d20+5(Laura loved it, told her fellow officers to get their ass in here): 5+5= 10!
Current dreamers 20! Gain 20 power!
You have 20 power:
Monsters:
[]Design a new monster?: My current dungeon has only rabbits. I really need something more threatening. Effect: Will spawn the equivalent of 10 power automatically unless told otherwise.
-[]Mischievous fox(Costs 1 power per fox)(G rank): A fox with good intelligence that is quite capable in hunting or in setting up an ambush. This fox often travels in duos and when a bigger predator is spotted, one that the foxes believe can still be brought down, one will climb a tree with the other baiting the predator into following it. When the predator passes under the tree, the fox will fall down onto the predator to bite and claw at its neck with the other fox joining in. Reward: 6 Xp and 1-3 copper coins. If skinned, gain a G rank material 'Fox pelt'. -[]Write in?(Like above, can write in skills of monster if you want. F- rank monsters are at 4 power and above.)
[]Increase monster population?: As we get more players, more monsters will be needed. -[]Use 10 power to increase horned rabbit population: It's my most basic monster, getting the population up so that the dreamers can hunt without running out seems like a good idea. +30 Horned rabbit
-[]Write in?(Increase which population by what amount?)
[]Item drops?: Currently the only thing that's given from killing a monster is XP and the body itself. So what if I were to give an item that has a small chance to drop? It would be a one time purchase and would help provide variety. -[]Horned rabbit gloves(For the horned rabbits)(Costs 3 power)(G rank): Fluffy gloves made out of the horned rabbits fur. Effect: Gain +2 defense. Very comfortable. -[]Write in?(Must be in someway related to the monster)
[]Boss monster?: Every good dungeon should have a boss monster! This probably won't be the final boss monster however. -[]Horned rabbit knight(Costs 5 power)(F- rank): A horned rabbit, about 3 feet tall, covered in thick fur, giving off the aura of a knight! It has fought countless other horned rabbits before becoming as it is now. It has sworn to protect those around it, due to this it has a small group of about 4 horned rabbits following it. Reward: Xp 30, 8-15 copper coins, and the body has various materials that are ranked G to F- rank. -[]Write in?(Like above, can write in skills of the boss if you want.)
Dreamers:
[]Class system: Right now all there is are adventurers with no skills and no class. I should probably give them some options for classes. -[]Adaptable classes(Costs 10 power): Basically a system that will give the users classes based on their actions and play style. So once they hit around Lvl 5 the system will give them some options to choose from, all based on their play style. The higher level they get, as in reaching level benchmarks, the more they evolve their classes. Effect: Classes will be given based on players' playstyle, starts out on the weaker side, however as they progress over time, they have classes tailored to them. -[]Self learning skills(Costs 10 power): Repeating an action with an intent, training it or using it constantly, will eventually create a skill that the player can use. -[]Write in?
[]Item creation(Costs 10 power): Giving the players the ability to make items out of the monsters they kill seems like a good idea. In doing this there would be some non-combatant type jobs. Effect: Players can make G rank items and possibly F- rank items more reliably.
The world: Currently the world is 5 miles wide in size. Plenty of room for now!
[]Make some animals?(Costs 3/6/10 power): Currently the dungeon is the only source for materials. So why not make some random animals to roam around the world? Some animals that players could hunt, so that the single dungeon won't be the only source of materials/combat experience. Would also give flavor and vitality to the world. Effect: Adds non-ranked animals for hunting. Value and number of animals depends on power put in.
[]Make new NPCs?: Some random NPCs with some basic intelligence. They would give random quests based on their needs. -[]How many basic NPCs?(Costs 5 per NPC. These will be random villagers.)
-[]Write in? Design an NPC with good intelligence?(Base cost for these is 10 power.)
[]Make a new dungeon?: How about no
[]Write in?(Think of something why don't ya?) Alright than! Quick thing, you can save your power for the next day, but at this point in time I recommend using all of it. Too much stuff to not use it all.
Since we now have a cook for the village, who wants to come up with dishes based on the monsters around the dungeon? We have horned rabbits and the horn rabbit knight now, so if someone wants to they can make some dishes for our local chefs!
As a reward… I'll give some free power depending on the dish idea. Make it fair if it has an effect.

Dream god POV:5 minutes till opening…
Ok let's see, I gave Marcus the stall permit, which he was over the moon about. I increased the amount of rabbits by more than twice the previous amount, as well as adding a Horned rabbit knight as a boss monster.
Horned rabbit knight: A horned rabbit, about 3 feet tall, covered in thick fur, giving off the aura of a knight! It has fought countless other horned rabbits before becoming as it is now. It has sworn to protect those around it, due to this it has a small group of about 4 horned rabbits following it. Stats:
Strength: Rank F-(Lvl 2)
Agility: Rank F-(Lvl 4)
Stamina: Rank F-(Lvl 4)
Intelligence: Rank G(Lvl 5)
Social: Rank F-(Lvl 2)
Traits:
Knights aura: Rabbit(F- rank: Lvl 2): All rabbits that follow this knight of bun, shall be blessed with increased defense and health. Effect: All rabbits near the user will have +2 Hp and +1 defense, including the user. They will also follow the users orders. Rabbits knightley charge(G rank: Lvl 5): This rabbit will will charge at a nearby enemy in an attempt to stun them. The rabbit gains vigor during this charge. Effect: Rabbit charges a nearby enemy that on contact deals the users strength stat as damage, stuns them for 0-3 seconds depending on their stamina stat, and the user gains a temporary +2 health during the charge.
Pretty good, adds difficulty as well as encouragement and potential materials. Although I'm wondering if I should add another skill the the boss, something minor, but the thing is it might be too much. Do you add a skill to the boss? Choose 1:
[]Rabbit roar(G rank: Lvl 3): Roaring like that of a rabbit will cause those nearby to attack the rabbit knight, protecting its brothers. Effect: Taunts nearby players into attacking the rabbit knight. Can be resisted with the social or intelligence stat(Whichever ones bigger).
[]No: Just no.
[]Write in?(Do you have an idea?)
1 hour later…
The players found out about the new boss, which led to them being decimated without a fight. They underestimated the difference between a normal horned rabbit and a horned rabbit knight.
Laura on the other hand has leveled up again, she put 2 points into strength, 2 into stamina, and the final one being agility, raising it up to G rank Lvl 5. She's been using the rabbits bones to make more arrows, which hopefully works.
Marcus the brand new cook has been delighted to find that the old farmer has given him a quest-
Need some lunch(G rank quest): The old farmer has asked you to make him some lunch, specifically a dish that's ranked G rank. In exchange he will give you some produce he's been growing. Reward: 5 Xp, 2 pounds of potatoes, 2 pounds of carrots, and 1 pound of apples. Additional rewards may occur if dish is higher than G rank.
Which seems like the perfect quest for someone like Marcus, who's made it his mission to at least make a dish of Top tier G rank. He's basically asked players to go hunt the animals that players discovered existed outside of the dungeon. In exchange he will give food and copper for the animals.
Than Laura heard about this and since she needed better bones than simple rabbit bones, she decided to take on the request.
1 hour later…
Hidden roll reveal!
What quality of animal does she get?: 89! Best and rarest animal on the map.
Laura managed to hunt the single deer that existed in the world, bringing it back whole after asking nearby players for help, for Marcus to cook. Laura, who honestly besides Marcus has the most copper coins out of anyone, simply asked Marcus to make her whatever he gave to the old farmer.
She also asked the farmer for flasks to put the rabbit soup in, which started a whole other minor quest that she went on.
Hidden roll reveal!
Does Marcus make a ranked dish? Dc 30/90: 10! First try failed! One more try!
Does Marcus make a ranked dish? Dc 30/90:92! He makes a top tier G rank dish!
2 hours later…
He did it, he managed to make a top tier G rank dish with nothing but rabbit meat, deer meat, bones, and some salt and pepper. I'm actually stunned, where does he cook in real life I wonder? Might have to drop by.
Deer steak with bunny dip(Top tier G Rank): Making a simple steak from deer meat that was smoked slowly, before grilling it to give it char. On the side, a fatty dip made from the fat of both the deer and rabbit, along with a bone marrow glaze on top of said dip. A wonderful creation made from little resources. Effect: Strength stat increases by 2 levels for 2 hours up to F- rank, stamina increases by 1 level up for 1 hour up to F- rank, and regenerates 1 wound every 3 minutes. Note: Does not increase level by F- rank. Can at max go to F- rank Level 1.
While Marcus gave the farmer the meal, saving some for Laura as promised, I realized that I could give him another reward. Creating a top tier G rank dish with basically a very limited amount of G rank and non-ranked materials shouldn't be possible, yet he did.
Choose 1 reward(2 power):
[]Quest for flavor(G rank): You are on your way to achieving flavor and becoming a true chef. Create 3 G rank dishes and 1 Top tier G rank dish to complete this quest. Reward:Gain a cooking class!
[]Save it?: Save the reward for later, when he makes a better achievement in his eyes, it will feel all the better for him.
[]Write in?(Got 2 power) I've rolled for interesting people(Results are 0), I've rolled for the current 3 interesting people to do something(4 hours go by before Marcus does it.), and finally I rolled to see if anyone even got close to revealing a bosses ability. They all died much to quickly for that.
So here's most likely the only achievement of the day(At this rate).
